Video Widget Needs Caption Rollover

Hello,
So I'm working on a lightbox for my website, but I really need a caption rollover. I started with the tooltip widget, but I don't think it will work with layers. It's a WIP, but I wanted to show you where I am at right now. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you!

I know I am replying to my own post - but I have figured it out. I have placed against the widget proprerties a 'No Action' upon success.

Adobe Muse using HTML 5 Video Widget

I need to create a private page for my Distributor... and I need to create videos that will play from my server... not from YouTube or DailyMotion... just need to embed a video from assets manager... don't know why it's not working. I bought the MuseTheme video Widget... I add assets/The Centurion.mp4 to the the html5 widgets but the video still doesn't show up on the browser when I preview it. Is there something that I am doing wrong?
Don't get it why it's not working... I followed as many turtorials as possible...

I want to create an external video widget with iAd. I followed the steps and copied the Url and paste it in the Video pop-up menu in the Properties section of the inspector. When i select 'preview' the video doesn't play and the Url that i pasted is gone.

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget. I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field, the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

Album photo/video widget not supported by Other launchers?

Hi,
I seemed to notice that the album photo/video widget is not supported by other launchers(e.g. I use Nova Launcher). Walkman widget recently was supported and I can add the widget even I use other launcher(this was not possible before in JB 4.1.2). Does anyone have any idea on this issue or is this a valid concern or not?

It's currently not possible to use our photos and videos widget on a 3:rd party launcher. We added this for Walkman with the latest update for the Walkman app but i don't know when/if it will be supported by Album.

Media selector creates video widget instead of photo

Hello!
When I select and drag into my book a single photo from iPhoto in the Media Selector, Author creates a video widget instead.
When I drag two photos, Author creates a video widget and a photo.
I have searched this forum and did a Google search but did not find other people complaining about the same problem. What is wrong and how can I correct it?
I have the latest versions of Author and Mountain Lion installed on my iMac computer.

If you just want an image, drag it to the page. If you want to incorporate image_s into a Widget, use the Gallery or Interactive or Keynote (slideshow) widgets.
Otherwise, for a single image, I believe that is how the media widget works.

I used Puffin Free Browser. Worked perfectly with a 14 day free trial for Flash. It worked well for Flash videos so I would buy the full version.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Follow the prompts. Click Safari in the menu bar and then Quit Safari .
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
    Adobe Flash Player
    Currently open website:
    All other websites"
    Select "Allow" then "Done".
3. Delete cookies.
     Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
     Press the “Remove All Website Data” button. It may take a while.
4. Turn off Extensions, if any.
    Safari > Preferences > Extensions
     Now try YouTube.

To change between Video, Photo and Square you slide those options up/down so that the one that you want lines up with the yellow dot to their left - or you can drag the screen up/down to switch between them

Flash Streaming Video with Close Captioning

Hello,
I am trying to create streaming video using flash. I've
already created the video and encoded as a FLV file.
Two questions:
1. I am currently hosting my streaming video on
Playstream.com. How do I incorporate this video such that when a
user views the content he/she will see a buffer bar loading as the
video plays? A good example is on YouTube.com.
2. I've aready created my close caption file and have it in
xml format. How do I sync my close captioned file with the flash
video?

I don't know too much about how to capture both video and
aplication monitoring moves at the same time.
I do however want to warn you about a possible pitfall of
making the presenter's video by recording with a digital cammera in
front of a PC or TV monitor screen.
The video from a monitor screen, taken with a digital camera
comes out full of glitches and flashes. This is present the video
in the monitor, and those used by the recording digital camera to
capture the scenes. It's a synchronization problem and makes the
video very unconfortable to watch.
A wrokaround for this requires expensive and hard to come by
equipment. To work around this, I would suggest to record a video
of the presenter first. Have him or her read the script while
standing or sitting in front of a fixed colored background. This
helps to avoid distractions to the viewer.
Review, edit and decide how you like the presentation video
first. Create the video file, and then you can play it in a 2x2
window on your PC monitor.
Here is where my expertise stops.
I don't know how or if you can then record the screen while
manipulating and recording your application's CAPTIVATE file. Maybe
it's possible to capture both windows at the same time side by
side, but my point is that you need to avoid recording with a
digital camera from a video monitor, it just doesn't look good.
Hope this helps a little.

Need to rollover and click...

I'm having trouble figuring this one out:
I have what's essentially a table of contents that lets the learner choose which area of content they want to explore. These I created as button widgets. The client wants there to be subtext under these buttons that describes that particular area of content. I assumed the best way to do this was to make them rollover captions, that way they could see the subtext before clicking away. However, these rollover captions have to be on top of the button- thus disabling it. I've tried using a click box, but that gets rid of the animation of the button, which the client really likes.
Any idea on how to accomplish this- I think an advanced action would work, but I'm pretty new at those, so some guidance would be great.

btw, using Cp 5, windows...

If it's a Static Button Widget, then no, you won't have Advanced Actions.
If it's an Interactive Button Widget, then yes, you will have Advanced Actions.
My guess is that if you cannot see any option to select Advanced Actions, then you have a static widget.

MacBook Aluminum-Video Out needed

hello, I need to display the content of my MacBook on a TV with S-Video Port, however there is no direct dongle that attaches mini DisplayPort to S-Video, so I was wondering if buying the mini Display to DVI adapter sold from Apple and a DVI to S-Video adapter sold by other manufacturer would solve the problem

I believe that you will find that the mini displayport to DVI connected to a DVI to analog adapter will NOT work as the DVI connection must be DVI-I and the mini displayport to DVI adapter is DVI-D.... no analog signals generated with this adapter.
