  • Black video window trying to share video from elgato video capture connected to a sony pmw-ex3 camer

    Hi,
Im trying to share video on adobe connect with "elgato video capture" usb plug in capture card, connected with a sony pmw-ex3 professional camera on a Lenovo windows 8 laptop, but the video window appears on black.
I have tried to change the resolution from low to high on the program, but it doesnt works. i´ve tried to change from panoramic to normal view size, and still dont work.
If i use the "elgato video capture" software from elgato web, the card works fine and capture video from the sony camera.
What should i do?It could be caused by screen resolution?
P.S: I have tried on a windows 7 asus laptop and it works fine.

You may need to use DVdriver along with your desired USB device. It allows your computer to see the video input as a 'webcam' and thus allows Connect to see it. Free to try, $20 to buy.

  • Black video windows in iTunes 11.1.5

since update to iTunes 11.1.5 on Windows 7 - 64-bit, I got a black video window after starting a movie from store or bibliothek (trailer and also own videos). iTunes 11.1.4.62 works fine on my other Windows 7 in a virtual machine, but I don't have the installation setup file for this version, just 11.3, 11.1.12 and older versions 10 and 9. On my Windows XP computer iTunes 11.1.0.126 works fine and videos can be watched, but not in connection with my TV (using a HDMI cable)
10 days ago I made a graphic driver update from NVIDIA "335.23-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql" for a GeForce GT 230M, but I could not beliefe there is a connection.  Windows software is (always) up to date on my notebook computer, also any other 3th party software.
I reinstalled all iTunes components are described by the support, but there is no further solution.
    Regards
    hftango

problem solved, NVIDIA graphic driver, the latest version 335.23 was debt. I reinstalled one of the previous versions 326.80 and now iTunes displays videos as usual and perfect. It is not always the best, to have all software upto date, to the contrary it can be fatal, although all support assistents recommend this.

  • Black built-in video windows in Safari

First of all, I know there are several threads and questions regarding similar issues, but it seems to me that this might not be the same problem.
On some websites (such as a Norwegian newspaper and on the Colbert Report and Daily Show websites) I simply can not play videos anymore. The built-in video windows just goes black. I hear the sound, I can use the scroll bar, but the video itself is black. Unlike similar issues posted in these communities, this does not affect Youtube, and it did not help to uninstall Flash Player 13 and downgrade to FP 12, so I don't think this is a Flash Player issue (I don't think the Norwegian newspaper that has the problem is running on flash neither, but I am not sure). This has been happening for about a month or so. Everytime this happens in Safari it works in both Chrome and Firefox. I've emptied the Safari cache and deleted the browsing and data settings in Flash Player, but to no avail. Please help.

Might be an incompatible Safari extension or third party plug-in.  (DivX and other video add ons can cause issues with Flash).
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

  • Videos go black at some point during playback.

Partway into a video it blacks out. I was at this site:
    http://www<i></i>.peachpit<i></i>.com/podcasts/episode.aspx?e=25305e87-f3ae-4522-b97f-0d679d09a1b2

These are the only messages in the console:
Using //@ to indicate sourceMappingURL pragmas is deprecated. Use //# instead jquery.js:1
Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.min.js:3
Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.js:3
If I have another site's page open in a separate tab parts of that page get blacked out. If I have a separate window open (to make sure I could log in to support) the input fields won't work then I click somewhere else on the page the whole thing goes black. I have to close all sessions of Firefox to get it working again. I have no problems with Internet Explorer [cringe]. My OS is Win 7 x64.

  • How can I get the video window to disappear?

Placing video in a InDesign CS6 file, exporting as an interactive pdf.  The video plays fine but when it is finished playing a black box replaces the video.  How do I get the video window to disappear after video finishes playing?  BYW, using the No Poster option in InDesign.

When the video finishes playing in an interactive PDF, it shows the last frame of the video. The last frame of your video is probably black.
There is no way to get the video window to disappear if it's embedded in the page, sorry. You could change the last frame to white, however.

  • Creating an interface with several video windows where a user can connect their own camera to window

    Hi,
I posted this in the Flash Media Live encoder Forum and it may have been the wrong place to get an answer.
currently I use the following workflow for Live video streaming.
I have FMLE on a computer streaming the Video feed to my FMS.
I currenlty use  Dreamweaver to create window with a few instances of a video window and one of the windows is configured to rtmp to my server and the stream name of the stream I have setup in FMLE.
This then streams to one of the windows.
I then assign a different Stream name to the other windows.
I send an FMLE client to a user in the locations that want to have a video presence on the webpage.
I send them instructions and running FMLE and the parameters to use to get their camera up and running.
This works fine to a point.
Most of the users are not technically minded and so often this leads to issues and delays to get these things to work.
I want to move on and improve this flow.
I want to create the video instances on the page where:
Below each video window is a text input field where a user can type in their name which will be used as the stream name.
Below each video window is a button that the user clicks to connect their camera automatically without having to install FMLE.
Once the video feed is running, only that user can click the button again to disconnect it. ( The button changes to "Stop Broadcast" etc).
I have looked at the structure of Ustream for example, and this seems to be the method they use as you can download the XML file of your channe,l and the RTMP URL and stream name can be copied and then used directly in FMLE and you can stream with more control of your camera that way.
Can you please provide instructions or guidance on how to begin this process?
    thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for your interest in this kind of workflow.
There are multiple ways to do it. Adobe Connect does this seamlessly.
But to try out few of the latest technlogies, I recommend trying RTMFP. There is a hosted server where you can try out your sample client applications. There is also client application made similar to what you are looking for.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 Crashes When Video Window Resizes

I have done a search for this topic and did not find any answers but I apologize if this topic has already been posted.
Whenever I try to resize a video window in Premiere CS4 by dragging a panel with the mouse the program crashes and quits. This is pretty much repeatable 100% of the time. I meet all system requirements and have the latest drivers for my video card. All CS4 apps have been updated..
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Try resetting your phone by holding down the home and off button until the apple symbol comes up. Then if still doing, restore your phone in itunes from your backup.

  • Why does the video window keep minimising then opening again?

I'm slowly working through all the problems I am having with my laptop, and this one is just a bit weird - nothing more than an inconvenience, but it sorts itself out.
If i am watching a video / TV show in iTunes (opened in new window, not in iTunes window) and am doing something else (eg using safari), then i try to move the movie (as it is now not the active window), sometimes it moves, sometimes it pauses for no reason (I am clicking the bar with the videos name in) and sometimes it freezes, the video window minimises then instantly comes back up from the dock...
Does anyone know why it may be doing this?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
This can be a problem with session restore.<br />
Firefox stores session data every 10 seconds to make it possible to restore a crashed session.<br />
If you have (security) software that interferes with that or have many tabs open then that cause cause a delay.<br />
You can try to increase the session store saving interval to see if that has any effect on the freezes.

  • Why is the first video frame black?

Why is the first frame black?  How can I fix this?  When I edit a video, which includes removing the first second, and render it using medium quality H.264, the first frame is black in QuickTime, and the first second or two of video is black in HTML5 Video on the web.  When I load it in PS CS6 Extended, the first frames do not appear black.  When I render in low quality I don't get black frames but HTML5 Video looks terrible in Internet Explorer.   Thanks.

  • HT1551 I'm able to watch netflix's for about 15 minutes then the video goes black but I still have audio.

I just set up my Apple TV. I'm able to watch netflix's for about 15 minutes then the video goes black but I still have audio.

Is it always at the 15 minute mark?
To make sure it's not a connectivity issue
What is your connection via speedtest.net?
Check istumbler or netstumbler for interference
Make sure DNS is set correctly (settings - general - network - configure DNS - automatic)

  • Closing video window brings up last minimized window..any way to stop this?

When I have multiple videos open and I minimize a few of them when ever i close the current one I'm watching it brings up the last minimized video window. Is there any way to stop this? It didn't do it before. I don't like the minimized videos to pop up on their own whenever I close one of the videos I'm watching. I minimize them so I can bring them back on my own **** terms. Anybody else having this problem?

Open Accounts preferences, click on the Login Items tab. If you see the Terminal listed then select it and click on the Delete [-] button.

  • Apple Site Videos appear black, but auido OK

I don't know what's going on. This is a new iMac (purchased from apple Sept '07)
It was working fine for while, now when I try to watch ANY video on apples site, the video is black and the audio is fine. (this includes tutorials, guides, and ads)
I've tried using safari, and firefox, I've rebooted the computer and check some settings. Can any one help?

Yes, I've installed all the quicktime updates. (even 7.4) That may have cause the problem. Maybe it's only quicktime videos on Apples site that I'm having a problem with. (Most other sites are using flash based players)
I don't want to do a full system refresh (besides being a mac newbie, that's more work) is there another way around it. I don't mind removing quicktime, finding older versions and trying that. Do you think that might work. Even by removing some of the system library files. (I may be a mac newbie, but I was an advance PC guy for years, that finally got tired of all the garbage and just wanted something that worked.)
    Thanks
