Video won't delete

I downloaded a couple of videos and when I went to delete them, they are still there. The space was freed up and the video won't play now but it still shows up in my videos. Can somebody help please?

A couple of places for you to visit: Blackberry 101 Tips & Tricks
Go to media-explore-find & select the video to remove-BB menu button-delete. Since videos are large it may take some time to delete them. Wait for the device to come back to the list of videos screen before removing battery. A battery pull after a deletion can help to restart your device and reallocate device memory to show the video has been removed.

HT1657 rented video won't delete from my ipad even after I watched it.

My kids rented and watched a video on 12/24 and it still appears on my itunes under rentals. I can highlight it but it won't delete from my itunes or my ipad. When I go to play it it says it cannot be opened i'm thinking because it has been watched and is expired. Any ideas on how to remove it from my ipad and my itunes?

Try dragging and dropping the music on top of your iPad to sync the music over, also ensure that you are syncing the recently added tracks.

Videos won't delete, instead becomes Other

When I delete a movie from the iPad 2 in iTunes, the memory isn't freed up, instead it shows up as Other and continues to take up space. When I say it shows up as Other, I'm referring to the Capacity graph at the bottom of iTunes. Adding other movies shows up as video, but eventually the capacity fills because there's no way to remove the space used in Other and I can't add anything else until I do a system restore and start over again.
This only seems to happen when I'm automatically syncing movies. If I manually manage movies and music, deleting a movie actually removes it from the device and appears to work correctly. Is this a bug or do I have something set up incorrectly?

Well, I don't quite care about brightness or ring volume settings, which I can rectify very easily. But recent call logs and home screen icon placements?? That I cannot give up!!
So, that solution is absolutely useless for me, I'm afraid.
I wish there were a more viable and easy workaround for this. iPhone manual says (I quote:)
Delete a video: In the videos list, swipe left or right over the video, then tap Delete.
When you delete a video (other than rented movies) from iPhone, it isn’t deleted from
your iTunes library and you can sync the video back to iPhone later. If you don’t want
to sync the video back to iPhone, set iTunes to not sync the video.
But the Manual doesn't specify how to set iTunes to not sync the video.
Plus, If I delete a dozen of videos from my iPhone, I will have to remember specifically which ones I deleted, and delete them (or set them not to sync -how?) before I plug my iPhone to my computer.
All very inconvenient.
Anyways... I'm hoping firmware 2.2 will shed some light on this.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Release the Buttons...

Deleted render files in Finder, now video won't preview or render

I deleted some render files in the Finder (not in Render Manager) with FCP running, and now the m2v video won't preview or render properly. The frames are all black or solid pastels. I've imported in a back up copy and the result is the same, no frame readout. Quicktime plays the video fine until the point the scrubber was in the timeline when I deleted the render files, then it reads only black until the end of the movie. Adobe AfterEffects reads the video fine, and Final Cut imports and reads other video files fine. How can I restore this video's functionality in QT and FCP?

Go here: http://www.squared5.com and get yourself a free copy of MPEG Streamclip. Install it.
Copy the VIDEO_TS folder from the DVD to your hard drive.
Open VOB1.1 found inside the TS folder with Streamclip (you don't usually need VOB1.0). You might be asked if timecode errors should be fixed and if you want the other files too (you do). This will take a minute or two.
Go to File > Export >Export as QuickTime. Click the button at the top that is currently showing "Motion JPEG A", change it to DV. Move the quality slider to 100%. Click "Make Movie" and run through the save dialog.
In Final Cut Pro, go to the menu bar: Final Cut Pro > Easy Setup. Choose DV NTSC (or PAL as appropriate). Go to Sequence > Settings > Load Sequence Preset.
Import the files you made with Streamclip and edit them.
Export as a QuickTime Movie using Current Settings - as a Reference Movie or Self contained -this part is up to you, I prefer Self Contained, because it is independant of the original source material.
This file will be the basis for whatever you want to deliver the project as.

I grasp that you uninstalled the Intel graphic driver and the catalyst control. You reinstalled the Intel driver and now you can view and hear videos on the Internet but you are unable to set the resolution as high as previously.
When I checked the specifications for your notebook I see that you have switchable graphics.
Here are two links that I believe will help.

Please try this process.
1. Download the chipset driver, and both graphic drivers and save them but do not install them yet
2, Delete the chipset driver and install the updated one.
3. restart your notebook
4.Delete the Intel driver and install the updated one
5. restart your notebook
6. Delete the AMD driver and install the updated driver.
You should now have a Catalyst Control Center.
This should now allow you to use the higher graphic card which should support the higher resolution.

When I restored my phone from icloud, half of my pics and videos have been deleted, the pics that were restored on my phone are very blurry, and the videos won't play. I have backed up to icloud and iphoto, however, some of the pics are no longer on iphoto either. Is there someway to get the videos to play on my phone again? Make the photos not as blurry as they are now and to restore the pics and videos that have been lost? I really would love to have them back, this phone is supposed to be the best and right now it doesn't seem to be. Please help if you can.

Try deleting Flash cookies.

Are you using the YouTube app or Safari?
Could be the videos are Flash based, which Safari can't display.
Adobe has not made a version of Flash for the iPad.

Videos won't stream (eg youtube) and safari very slow

Hi, I have 2 problems and would really appreciate any help
1 - safari very slow to open pages and has been like this for weeks. I have seen a solution to change to 'opendns' under System preferences > network > advanced tab but I cannot see an option for that. I think this may be my problem as Google always opens quickly. Can anyone elaborate on this solution?
2 - Videos won't stream and just hang with circle (e.g on sites like youtube) which started about 1 week ago. Only thing I have done differently is watching megavideos on unknown site. I have tried the solutions given under other threads (e.g. deleting cache files and uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flash). This seemed to help slightly the first time I tried it but still took approx 60s to stream 1 minute video. Has now reverted back to not streaming.

To set up a test account, open System Preferences > Accounts, click on the padlock icon to unlock it, then click on the "+" sign, name the account "test" and leave the password field blank, since you don't need the account that long; you can delete it later.
Quit System Preferences, log out of the regular user account and into the test account, then try using Safari to load pages and videos to see if the problem continues there.
Other things you can try in your regular user account that may help your problem or solve it are this:
1. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Web Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
3. If you don't want to use the Top Sites or Cover Flow features, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
then press Enter or Return and quit Terminal
4. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Downloads.plist
History.plist
Form Values
LastSession.plist
WebpageIcons.db
Then Repair Permissions, restart Safari and see if the speed is improved.

I just purchased some videos for my iPod touch (I believe 2nd generation) and the videos won't play but you can hear the audio. All I get is a blank screen. Why is this happening??!! What can I do??!!

- I would try transferring the video to itunes on you computer and then deleting it from your iPod. The go to Advance tab in iTunes and select the Create iPod and iPhone Version and then sync to your iPod.

Since Thunderbird attempted to load the newest version, nothing loads. Video won't load, pages take forever. How do I fix this?

A pop up asked if I wanted to install the latest version of Thunderbird. I clicked yes, and nothing has worked since. Videos won't load, sites take forever to load if they do at all. I clicked on Thunderbird 'about' and it showed it was attempting to load verision 12.1. My last version was 3.1. I deleted the Thunderbird application and installed a 3.1 version I had backed up. Everything is still not working right.

Thanks Zenos. I have an iMac OS10.6.8 When Thunderbird was installing the latest version is when this problem started. And the problem IS with my browser. I realized the problem started when I said 'yes' to installing the latest version. When I checked preferences I noticed Thunderbird was attempting to load version 12.1 It had been running for days and only 159 kbs had loaded . I didn't know how to stop it, so I just trashed the Thunderbird app, but that didn't help. I'm not very techy to say the least, but it seems like there might still be something running in the background that is slowing up everything else on my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

Videos won't play on CBS, Fox, or NBC

Hello!
For the last 48 hours I've been trying to watch Gotham on Fox.com from my iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2010)...no good. I was just watching it earlier this week, and for some reason when I try now it only has a black window (no error message). Videos won't play for me on NBC.com, Fox.com, or CBS.com on neither Chrome nor Safari nor Firefox. Randomly, ABC.com DOES work across all fronts.
Here is what I've tried:
-Restarting computer
-Refreshing constantly
-Reinstalling Chrome / Firefox
-Making sure Flash was updated
-Clearing all website data / caches / extensions
I even right clicked on the blank Fox video page, selected "Global Settings," and cleared all Local Storage Settings for Flash. NOTHING! I'm even starting to wonder if my roommate sabotaged my computer...that's how desperate I am on ideas.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Non-flash youtube videos won't play on safari

Using the desktop version of youtube on safari - not the app.
The page loads, the screen is blank with the "Play" arrow button in the middle but then the video won't start/load/play. If I navigate away from the page, it will briefly show the first frame and then it disappears again. These are videos that were working absolutely fine up to last night with iOS 5. I have since done hard reset and installed iOS 5.0.1 but no luck. Any ideas what might be happening?

Swipe left on your Home screen then type: Youtube in the search field.
The app looks like this > It comes pre installed on the iPad so there's no way to delete it.
