Video wont load in ipad 4th gen but plays fine in itunes during home sharing

iPad version : 6.1.2
iTunes version : 11.0.4.4
I configured the home sharing as taught in the guideline, everything works fine except the video wont load in my ipad. When i click play (via ipad) on the video that is shared from my library(comp), the video only plays in my computer's itunes but not ipad. It shows the movie is playing on my ipad (running time of movie), but the frame of the video is stuck at first second of the video.
Anyone with the similar experience out there?? Hope to get some help over here.
Thanks

You are correct. I should have clarified that. They are not under Movies or under Home Videos. I synced two home videos (AAC, H.264) as a test, together and one at a time. Both of them appear and disappear as appropriate.
The mp4's remain stubbornly invisible/absent.

  • Attention to the apple developer, u need to check the issue about the iMovie which installed in an iPad 4th gen. Is having a problem during closing the app from the theater page to the home screen. It doesn't closes exactly severally...

Attention to the Apple developer, the iMovie which installed to the iPad 4th gen. has a problem when it's opened at the theater page it frequently couldn't be closed down to the home screen. The app page is actually blinking and cannot tap onto anything..

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
    Thanks again!

  • IPad 4th gen seems that Safari will return to home page when new mail downloads during web

iPad 4th Gen. Safari will return to home page when it seems to download new mail when I'm on the web!

Clear Safari, close Safari completely and reset your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Why are some of my purchased songs cutting off when I play them on my iPod but play fine on iTunes on my laptop?

Here's a question that's been bugging me for years, and I'm trying - again - to find an answer.  I have a couple dozen songs purchased off the iTunes Store that are clipped then I play the on my iPod (4th or 5th generation; sorry that I can't remember). They cut off in exactly the same places. Re-syncing never helps. The songs all play just fine on iTunes on my laptop.
What's going on? How do I fix it?  Thanks in advance!

Try deleting them from the iPod and redownloading them directly to the iPod
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    Next:
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • HT5205 Why is HK carrier 1010(CSL) 4G LTE cannot be used in iPad 4th gen. I have subscribed to 1010 4G plan and under contract. However, I cannot use the 4G LTE service in the 4th gen iPad I just bought. Why Apple is so unfair ?

I have asked my local carrier 1010 about their LTE service and they said the frequency of their 4G is actually matched with iPad 4th gen but it was Apple who decided to limit their latest iPad and iPad mini 4G LTE to certain carriers but not CSL and PCCW. I think it is extremely unfair to customers who bought the the latest iPad or iPad mini(from apple store but not from telecom company) presuming they can use the 4G LTE feature.

So it's Apple's fault that you did no basic research or made any effort to find out if your carrier supported the iPad?

My beats by dre earbuds won't work on my iPod touch 4th gen but on my iPad, I need help :/

Do other earphones work on the iPod?
    If not then
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

  • Ipad 4th gen wont unlock

iPad wont let me unlock on main screen tried everything from a hard restart, to a factory reset with itunes but nothing still wont let me unlock from main screen. Any more ideas would be great with problem.
iPad 4th gen ios 8.1.2 or 8.1.3 not sure since i cant tell if i took after i factory reset it was on 8.1.2 before the issue.

If the touchscreen is not responding, and it appears that you have already tried to restore. If that didn't help, then you are going to have to get it looked at. You can double-check troubleshooting here If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond to touch - Apple Support but if that does not work, then you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service provider, whichever applies to your location.

  • Computer wont recognize iPad 4th gen

So after a lot of googling and research, I decided to give up and just ask here. My iPad (4th gen) on iOS 8.1.1 wont connect my computer. It wont even say that its "Not Charging". Nothing shows up in Device Manager, Nothing shows up in iTunes, I've tried reinstalling iTunes but to no avail. The iPad isn't recognized.
However, if I plug in my iPhone 4 to the computer, Its recognized and appears in iTunes. It appears the issue is with the iPad, since I tried connecting it with another desktop (Windows Vista SP1 32-bit) it still isn't recognized.
P.S: Im on Windows 7 (32-bit) if thats of any help.

I found the issue, appears it was the cable.
the strange thing is, the cable came with the device. Its legit and from apple.
Oh well, looks like ill need a new one.

  • How to use iPad (4th gen) to edit with iMovie - but using an external source such as a USB stick or external USB hard drive

Want to use my iPad (4th gen) to edit a movie using iMovie - easy enough if the movie file is on the iPad - but what if it's too large - can I keep the source file on a USB stick or external USB hard drive and edit from there?  How can you do this?

You can't export any type of file using the camera connection kit, so a USB flash drive or SD card won't work.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

Any ideas greatly appreciated, it will save me a journey to the apple store

I have now solved it. I signed out of my iTunes account and then held down both the power buttons until the apple appeared. When I signed back in it started downloading.
