Video wont play unless I turn Acceleration down

I did a search and didnt find much. What is happening is mpegs, avi, and others will not play video in Nero and WMP11. I can only hear sound.
The only thing a search turned up as a fix is to redo a fresh install , or remove various programs that might be in conflict ( but they don't say which). Some others mentioned that they had the problem after they "cleaned" the computer using a registry cleaner.
What I have done is tried various website to ensure its not a website problem. I also downloaded various codecs, I tried different video card driver versions.
The only answer I have that appears to work is to Start>Control>Display>Settings>Advanced>Troubleshoot>Hardware Acceleration drop down to disable Driect Draw and 3D accelerations.
So now it play the videos so I can see them, but I havent tested how this will effect video games.

Im beginning to think there might be 2 issuse here 1.)registry mechanic program I used stripped something out. I was a little suprised to see that after the install there were over 75 "errors" that needed to be fixed.That implys bad programming to me. In the past though, these programs worked for me well speeding up my computer, other times killing it. 2.) Some sort of conflict with another program that I cant figure out.
Well, being that all my data in on the 400GB and the main HDD is just the OS, plus about 5 basic programs, I think Im going to enjoy the rest of my day tanking my drive and doing another fresh install.

Congrats on your first post, fed_upp. BTW, may we know the phone model you are using? When you say new update, are you referring to the Lumia Cyan or WP7.8 update? Have you already tried switching off/on your phone and re-inserting your memory card to check if there's any difference? About the phone's signal, are you able to see any changes when moving the phone in one place to another? For the Wi-Fi signal, are you unable to connect to any available Wi-Fi network?

Then your iTunes must be looking at the removable disc, not your hard drive. Did you actually copy the songs onto your computer, or simply tell iTunes to look at the removable drive?
Highlight a song and click on File/Get Info/Summary>Where and check the location that iTunes has listed for the song. What does it say?

I Tested it on 2 iPad air's and my old iPad 4
they play perfectly on the iPad 4 from the native photos app
i tested it with old videos and shot some new footage but nothing plays on either ipad airs

I have the same problem, except it's iTunes that won't sync with my iPad. The thing is, iTunes isn't in the iCloud on/ off syncing list on both my iPad and my MacBook air for some reason.

example for the Vindictus game, all the little flash videos of game play wont launch. Its a shock wave file I guess, and the problem is, I cant launch the game if the buttons dont appear!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

i know this seems like an age old question...but considering im fairly tech savvy ive been puzzled as to why my ipod wont play music through my tv. i have a standard Y cable that works just fine when connected to my home theatre but will not play through my tv...at all, not just video. no music or anything. anyone know why?

Er, by Y cable, you mean a standard RCA to 3.5mm cable?
If yes, you'll need to plug each plug into the video (yellow) port and see which one carries the video signal. Apple switched around the signals for each cable, I think. Also, make sure the iPod is set to NTSC output in the Video settings screen.

Podcast videos wont play in latest itunes

I have the latest iTunes version for windows vista. I have been downloading podcast videos and it says done but then when I go to view it is no longer available as if I didnt ever download it and so it wont play. How do I download and view the podcast videos. The audios work just fine.

The video player mentioned in your opening remark is for a QT player, not a Flash, so for that you would not be using those Flash .swf files.

Also, you are using 2 different paths, one in the <object>:

You didn't mention what browser/s you have tested in and you didn't mention if you are testing the videos directly (click on mp4 file and open directly in QT) or if you tested in a browser locally before uploading to server.
Does the Browser you are testing in have a QuickTime pluggin? if not, the video will not display

Thank you for your 1st post and welcome to the forums.
What file format are you trying to play? Please be sure that the video file is the correct format and is compatible with the N8 playback (DivX/XviD/MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player)
Your memory card must also be FAT32 format if it is not already.
