Video wont sync onto ipod

Hey, im seeking help...
For some reason, my videos that are in my itunes library for some reason will not sync over to my ipod. I have a 160gn ipod classic, anyone have any idea why this isnt happening?
Cheers

Hey there,
Are you sure you have your iPod set to sync movies to it? To be sure, plug your iPod in, and when it appears in iTunes, head over to the Movies tab and make sure you have it set to Sync. What you sync is up to you, but make sure that still has a check mark next to Sync.
If that doesn't help, your movie or video may not be in an iPod-compatible format. To make it that way, navigate to the movies section of your iTunes library and find the video and right->click and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version" and wait for it to convert. The time it takes to convert depends on the length of the video. When it is done, try resyncing it to your iPod and see if that helps. You may have to do this for each video in your Library that is not syncing. Hope this helps.
Here is a bit more on syncing videos to your iPod.

Some song formats cannot be played on an iPod. Use these instructions to convert the song into a format which can be played on the iPod.

  • MSN videos wont go onto iPod

How do I put a video onto my iPod if I got it from a friend on MSN messenger

Videora may not convert wmv files.
    Try this...
    http://www.filetrial.com/convert/wmvtomov.html
Then take that converted file and drag it into iTunes. Right click the video and go to convert selection for iPod.
That second converted video should transfer to iPod.

I got the Real World videos, and they went on fine. Then a couple nights later I updated my iPod cause I bought another song, then that night, I realized that the Real World videos weren't on there anymore.
I just tried to restore it and everything. Any help?

    Unfortunately It's for windows & I'm on a mac. I didn't see a mac version.
    Thanks anyway for responding.

called up HK Apple helpline no. 800 908 988 and
talked to thier tech support person.
solution is finally here... they suggested me to
    download convert s/w from www.jodix.com
IT WORKS !!!! thank gosh... i dont need to depend on
stupid itunes to convert...and worst it takes ages to
convert later on to find some or other tech glitches

  • ITunesU folder wont sync with ipod - There is no folder

IM having an issue where I downloaded 12 audio tracks from itunes U but they wont sync onto the ipod.  Well thats not exactly true, they will sync if I create a playlist and put them there, and they also appear in the Recently Added Playlist.  But they dont appear anywhere else.
On my itunes, there is a separate itunes U folder just like there is a podcast folder...but the podcasts folder syncs with the ipod, but the itunes U does not.
I sat with an Apple tech at the retail store for an hour and he could not figure it out...and as usual when they dont know anything, they always say 'dont worry about it'  I love how I am paying for all this expert technical help on the phone and in the stores, and Im always told "I dont know", "Ive never seen that, " "Dont worry about it" or my favorite trainer response "you dont really have to use that anyway."
Silly me wants my expensive technology to work. Im told itunes U should sync onto my ipod but for some reason it hasnt, and no itunes U folder is created on my ipod even though it appears in itunes.  I have everything in itunes checked to sync all itunes u (and t hus they do appear in the playlist I created) but I have to think they should appear somewhere else on the ipod classic.
Im using the most recent itunes -which was updated today.  Some people on here told me to change the format from itunesU to podcasts but that didnt work either.  So Im told they are supposed to sync but no one knows why they arent so I dont want to keep downloading until we can figure this out
Anyone else having these issues.  No one seems to be able to help.  I would think an itunesU folder should appear just like theres music and podcasts.  It appears in itunes U and in the Finder.

In case anyone else is having this issue, I finally solved it and it was very simple.  The sad part is that an instore trainer in an hour one-to-one session told me it could not be done.  A half hour call with Apple care tech support told me it could not be done.  And in an email, an Apple rep told me that itunesU is not supported by the ipod classic (really?)
Well heres all that had to be done.  Go to SETTINGS on your IPOD and make sure that itunesU is checked.  It was as simple as that.  That enabled the itunesU folder to appear on the ipod and the tracks to sync seemlessly like theyre supposed to

  • My itunes wont sync my ipod touch, when i click sync it says that it is syncing but it wont sync, im sorry but i just cant exacly explain it

My itunes wont sync my ipod touch, when i click sync it says that it is syncing but it wont sync, im sorry but i just cant exacly explain it

It sounds like you need to set it up, and that makes sense because you said that its a new iPod. Just go through the steps of setting up a new iPod and you should be good.

  • I bought two songs off itunes and they wont sync onto my ipod touch but they did sync onto my ipod classic.  I have tried all troubleshooting ideas to get the songs to sync on my ipod toch but nothing works. :(

I bought some songs off of itunes and the songs synced onto my ipod CLASSIC but they didnt sync into my ipod TOUCH. I have tried authorizing and deauthorizing my laptop, updating softwares but nothing works. Anyone know why this is happening?!?!?!

    Hi,
The songs need to be in the playlist(s) that go onto the ipod touch.
Plug the ipod touch into the computer and go to the music section of it from the devices menu. From here make sure that the playlist(s) that go on to this ipod are the ones that have the new songs.
Once this is done, click sync/apply.
    I hope this helps.

  • Videos from Itunes store wont sync to ipod, format not playable

    Hey everyone,
Today i tried to sync my ipod to add some new songs, and it said that the two Pirates movies off itunes could not be transfered because they are unplayable for the ipod...mind you the videos were on it before and have been played.
I tried to put a TV show instead and it copied 7 of the 22 over and then said the rest were unplayable...any ideas? Is my iPod dying? Could be a good thing cuz then I would have an excuse to buy an iPhone ha ha
    thanks

It could be a problem with some of the downloads in which case you would need to contact the iTunes Store. But before that have you tried:
    1. Resetting your iPod (Hold down the menu and center buttons for six seconds)
    2. Restoring your iPod in iTunes (all data will be removed).

  • Podcast wont load onto ipod!

i just started downloading podcasts, and now it wont go onto my ipod! what can i do?
i thinki have the newest versionof itunes

if you have an oldish (3G or earlier) iPod the podcasts might not sync, as if you try to upload video podcasts adn you don't have a video iPod. Some file types also won't work. Check to see that the podcast is compatible.

  • Videos wont sync

new videos i add to my video library wont synce to my ipod
i have them checked and my settings are right ???????

I'm having a similar problem. I've purchased multiple episodes of three different tv shows from iTunes. SNL, Strangers with Candy, and Sarah Silverman. When I first synced, SNL and SWC showed up and play fine, but only a few SS synced. Each successive syncing lost more SS episodes until none now show up. I tried to add a music playlist and add videos--some from each of the three shows, and none synced. No idea what's going on.

  • Itunes will not play any songs/videos; also, videos wont tranfer to iPod.

This problem started a couple of days ago; It started after I downloaded 6.0.2... There were a bunch of problems to my computer because of that, although they might not have been related. In any case, I ended up using system restore 3 times and uninstalling/reinstalling itunes quite a bit.
Now my computer's back to normal, except one thing: iTunes. Its acting... funky. Weird. It wont play any songs/videos on iTunes itself, which is annoying but I don't mind it as I just use my iPod... EXCEPT that it wont transfer ANY videos to my iPod. NONE. Even the old videos on it were erased as iTunes said that "They can't be viewed". I KNOW these videos work on my iPod as I converted them to specifications and plus, I've seen most of them before on it (Also, I have a few music store bought videos and they wont transfer either). It seems to be a deep rooted technical problem inside iTunes, but I can't seem to fix it.
I've repaired/reinstalled/completely uninstalled, wiped reg. values with a cleaner, and it STILL doesn't work...
I need help. This problem is weird, and I'd like it fixed. I want to see videos again...

If anyone else can't play songs from their device in iTunes, try steps below which solved my problem:
Be sure your device is selected.
Right Click anywhere on Contents screen.
Select "Reset Plays" your selected song(s) should begin playing.
The "Pause, Play etc" buttons are no longer greyed out.
