  • Videos Wont Load Into ITunes

Everytime I try and load a video into Itunes either by dragging and dropping or the add file to library my computer freezes for about 30 min. When it unfreezes the video doesnt show in Itunes. Any ideas? The videos are in the mp4 format so I know theyre compatable.

everytime I try to load video file into my library my computer crashes.
are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
if the blue screen mentions a specific file, let us know what that is called too. (exact spelling, please.)
here's a reference on the sorts of things i'm asking about:
    Troubleshooting Windows Stop Messages
if you're not seeing a blue screen (or just a flash of one), we can use this technique to make hidden blue screens appear for us:
    1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
    2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
    3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
    4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.

  • How come my videos wont play in itunes on my computer?

I tried to play back my videos I bought from the iTunes store and the ones I already had in the library. No videos (tv shows or music videos) just wont play. And I'm on a PC not a Mac. Thnx.

Are you getting an "iTunes has stopped working" message when you try to play the videos?
If so, try the following user tip:

You might check on your network router to see if IPv6 is turned on, if so try turning it off.

  • MPG4 video wont transfer to itunes

    Hey everybody:
    My problem:
I had a CD of 3 video files(the original format was 3GPP2 of 2 of them, and MPG4 of one of them -- Call them files 1, 2, and 3). The third file I was able to drag and drop into itunes, and I got it on my video ipod (all though Ipod had to convert it, interestingly, though it was allready mpg4... shrug thats not the issue though).
The other 2 files, I can't get into itunes for the life of me. Ive tried a number of things:
I converted them first with videora, then tried to drag and drop into itunes. No error, they just didnt show up. When I dragged them, the little plus and everything showed up.
Again with the converted files, I tried the "add file" and the "import" functions in itunes. Again, no error, the files just didnt show up.
I tried dragging the original file into itunes, thinking Id just convert them using the converter in itunes. AGAIN, no error, they just didnt show up in my video list.
I've added LOTS of video's to my ipod, downloaded, off CD's and I've never had this problem before. It's driving me up a wall! What am I missing??
PS. Im not running the latest version of Itunes. (I think its 6 that Im running) 7 is downloading as I speak, to see if that makes a difference.

Ok, so I looked at the properities of the files that videora converted for me, and although videora gave me no errors, the files it spitted out are pretty much useless. 0 bytes of data, and they wont play.
Ive never tried converting from 3GPP2 before, and am unfamiliar with the format. Videora doesnt recognize it as a media format, but it didnt give me any errors, so I assumed it worked. That answered the question of why it wouldnt transfer anyway.
From what I've found online, and seen in the properities of the file, I gather 3GPP2 is some type of compressed MPG4, or something... BTW, quick time plays the files in 3GPP2 format (and says they are some type of MPG4), but I can't drag and drop them into itunes. I get a circle with a line through it.
Long story short, anyone know how I can get those files into a format itunes can deal with, because aparently videora doesnt do it right!

  • HT203180 Video wont play on itunes or sync to iphone

Im an amateur boxer and one of my fights was videoed for me and put onto dvd, i then extracted it from the dvd and converted into a file using windows movie maker, but the file wont play through my itunes and therefore i cant put my fight on my phone ! I dont get a error message saying it cant be played or anything, it just doesnt come up ! When i click open with itunes, itunes will load and then just show my library ?! Any suggestions ? Thanks

I mean that in the app store, the description of the app tells you what kind of hardware (what model phone) and what version of iOS the app requires to install and run... does your phone meet those requirements?

  • My videos wont upload off of Premiere Elements correctly

I used to upload the videos from PE11 onto my computer and now it wont work. The screen is green but the audio is there. Old movies that used to work properly now do the same thing, even if I uploaded them months ago. Also, PE11 wont let me upload to youtube directly from PE11. Not sure how to resolve the issue. I would hate to have to remake all my movies if I have to uninstall and reinstall the program

Also, be sure to indicate if you've made any major changes to your computer -- like upgraded the operating system, added video software (including free software you found on the internet), added or replaced a hard drive or if this is a new computer that you've moved your files to.
It might additionally help if you'll tell us what model of camcorder this original video came from and what format and resolution it is. (If you don't know, open the file in a program like G Spot Video or Media Info and advise us of the codec, resolution and frame rates listed.)

  • Mpeg1 video wont import into itunes for windows

This is a rather stange one.
I have an MPEG video that will run happily on MAC using either Quick Time or Itunes. Try the same on windows and one gets a 2048 error from quick time. itunes claims it's an unknown file type.
Real Player on window or MAC is perfectly happy with the file though.
I really need to get into itunes so that it can then loaded into a video ipod.
    Any clues ?
    thanks in advance

  • VIDEO WONT GO ONTO iTUNES!

    Hi
I've posted this before, but didnt get a reply.
I'm trying to put a .wmv file into my library, but when I select 'add file to library' and select the file, nothing happens!
    Help?!

While I'm not sure if iTunes can play it or not, iPods can't play wmv files, so maybe that's why... if you can convert to mp4, try that.

  • Uploading non-iTunes videos to iPod

    Hey all
ok so i've been uploading no itunes videos to my ipod no prob but when i go to GET INFO> OPTIONS> Video Kind of a paticular video and i set it to TV SHOW, when i upload to iPod i cant find it, but i change it MOVIE i can see and play the video. I just want to put my tv shows in the TV SHOWS subfolder on the ipod, anyone have any ideas how to make this work.
ie, Scrubs episode 504 want to put it under TV Shows option on ipod but wont go there have to keep video kind as MOVIE.
    Thanks guys!!

    Hey guys,
Stayed up most of the night figuring this one out...!
The new iTunes has added a bunch of tags to the new video mp4s. One of those tags designates the TV Show that the video pertains to. This is different from and in addition to the 'Artist' and 'Album' tags.
You can view this tag by arranging your video files in List format in iTunes and selecting 'TV Shows' at the top of the screen.
The stupid thing is, iTunes doesn't let you change these tags. Hopefully, the next version will fix that...
So, you'll have to download a program that lets you edit these tags. I used a program called AtomicParsley (for Windows XP). I think you can find it at http://atomicparsley.sourceforge.net. There are some others for OSX, I think. Do a good enough internet search and you'll find one.
AtomicParsley edits the tags by creating a whole new file (which can take a while depending on the size of the file), then overwriting the old one. iTunes takes a minute to recognise the changes. You can clue it in by right-clicking on the file.
You'll actually be able to edit tags for season and episode numbers, and those will carry through to the iPod when you update it.
    Anyway, good luck.
    Robin

QuickTime and MPEG-4 movie files that end in *".mov", ".m4v", or ".mp4"* and are playable in QuickTime Player.

  • How can I have a video of my personal song That I've written in iTunes Have 3200 views in 4 hours, ? Does iTunes upload your iTunes library ?

How can I have a video of my personal song That I've written in iTunes Have 3200 views in 4 hours, ? Does iTunes upload your iTunes library ?

You can't write videos with iTunes.  You can't even write anything with iTunes.  iTunes plays media, not create it.
iTunes only uploads your library if you have subscribed to iTunes Match and then it is only viewable by yourself.  It doesn't include video.
iTunes is an application that runs on your computer.  It is not the iTunes Store which is something run on Apple's corporate computer's.
I think there's terminology problems here so perhaps simplify it a bit.  Are you talking about something you have on the iTunes Store server?  I know nothing about that but I guess it is possible people (or more likely automated computer programs automatically scanning the web) have had a look and that gets flagged as a view.
