VideoError: 1000: Unable to make connection to server or to find FLV on server

Hello there,
I am using a simple FLVPlayback control in my AS3 document. In that I invoked FLVPlayback's methods like play, seek, and stop. Whenever I use these methods I get "VideoError: 1000: Unable to make connection to server or to find FLV on server" error while publishing the file. If I remove these method call then I am not getting this error.
Note: If I load above published file in another file then I'm not getting this error, however same is not working on LMS.
It will be of great help if someone help me resolve this issue.

I added trace that you have mentioned in first frame and here is output:

VideoError: 1000: Unable to make connection to server or to
    find FLV on server
I've spent a lot of time in the past couple of weeks trying
to figure out what could be the problem.
I developed a Live Streaming Flash (swf) that play fine in my
local host with my Labtop with FMS3 Installed.I can see my live
video in internet only when i use my laptop. What puzzled me is
that even when i connected to Internet my Live stream and the
dynamic playlist work perfect on my laptop but never in any other
computer. I have tested it on several computers in different
    places, the only thing i get always is this code;
VideoError: 1000: Unable to make connection to server or to
    find FLV on server

Does anybody know what can cause this error and how to fix
    it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Delluchi

I can't answer your question but it sounds like you have a similar problem to me, I can make the connection fine from my laptop but no other pc can connect or see the stream. Why can't someone just tell you in plain english how to ....  better still why can't Adobe actually tell you in plain english! Hope you work it out, if you do let me know please!

  • 1000: unable to make connection to server or to find FLV

    Hi,
this is driving me crazy. This is so simple, I can't believe
there is a problem. I placed and FLVPlayback component in my flash
    file, and named it "my_playback".
I created an actions layer and in it I do:
    my_playback.contentPath("moviename.flv") ;
and the stupid flash gives me the error when I run it :
1000:unable to make connection to server or to find FLV.
Now the damn "moviename.flv" is in he same directory as the
flash file, so what is going on?
I just can't believe that the simplest things are are so hard
with Flash, I am getting so annoyed by it, I am almost ready to
    give up on Flash.
Does someone have an idea of what is going on?
    thanks
    -Malena

    no idea..
    what version of flash?
what is in the contentPath parameter for that component
    instance?
I cant reproduce your problem, can I have your fla
    file?

  • New Local Move Request - Error: MapiExceptionLogonFailed: Unable to make connection to the server.

I am in the process of doing a migration from SBS 2003 std. edition to SBS 2011 std. I am at the point the migrating mailboxes from the Exch 03 server to the Exch 2010 server.  I initially received an error when selecting mailboxes that the mailbox
db on the Exch03 server did not exist.  I followed the resolution steps from another forum post to add the Exch 2010 server to the "first administrative group" via the security tab and give full permissions.  This solved that issue and
I was able to proceed through the wizard to actually create the local move request.  However, after processing the request, I get the following error...

    Hi,
Let's begin with the following similar thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b651d65c-92f3-460c-b555-247acb8e6fd7/recovered-exchange-2013-arbitration-system-mailboxes?forum=exchangesvravailabilityandisasterrecovery
It is the same error in the event log with you when moving mailboxes. And it can be resolved by recreating the mailboxes.
Additionally, to check the network connection between two servers, I recommend you use the network monitor to catch the package.

  • An FTP Error occured - cannot make connection to host. No response from the server

"An FTP Error occured - cannot make connection to host. No response from the server".
As of today this is all i get when trying to connect to every single ftp account i have. It's not the server cause it's every one and there is several different. Tried passive and non-passive same result. I've connected fine with other FTP clients. So this must be another dreamweaver bug. Anyone know what to do?

Very hard to diagnose these problems, particularly as you can connect using a 3rd party program.

  • NT Adapter unable to make connection

    Hi,
I am trying to create a java application using the
Data Form component. I keep getting the error message
TN adapter unable to make connection when I use the data form

    Hi,
    I still can't get a JDeveloper 2.0 Beta to access a local
    database.
    Here is my configuration:
Oracle 8.0.5 Enterprise Edition for Windows NT 4.0 (SP3)
    JDeveloper 2.0 Beta (Build 184)
Oracle Developer 2.1 and Oracle Designer 2.1.1 (installed
in the same Oracle home directory as the RDBMS)
All of the above are installed on a STAND ALONE machine with
NO network card installed. I am NOT connected to a network
    either.
I have tried using the Oracle Thin driver, the OCI-8 driver, and
the Sun JDBC driver and still unable to make a connection to
the local RDBMS 8.0.5. I have tried every combination in the
Data Form Wizard. I even tried to access the RDBMS with the
Microsoft Loopback adapter. Does JDeveloper use SQL*Net or Net8?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Belkin wireless router connected but browser could not find the host server

my new roommate has a belkin n wireless router connected to a cable modem which functions perfectly on her pc laptop. i am trying to connect my MacBook Pro to the router using her WEP password. this all works fine and my System Preferences/Network/Status shows that AirPort is connected with full strength, but i cannot load any web pages (i have not yet been able to load any pages at all using this router). the page load error reads "Firefox can't find the server at www.cnn.com" and "The browser could not find the host server for the provided address".
I spoke with Belkin support and they say the router is functioning properly, that is a problem with my mac.
When I go to Network Diagnostics, the status shows all green and says "This computer's Internet connection appears to be operating normally. Are you sure you want to use Network Diagnostics?
Could this be a firewall issue? A couple people have suggested that, but I'm not sure how to fix that.
I have tried rebooting the router and cable modem, rebooting the mac, etc.
any ideas on what settings i may need to investigate??
    thank you!

how do I know if the router has useful DNS servers? i am looking at the settings of the router on the pc that is online.
Somewhere in the settings of the router should be the DNS servers that it is using. Since the router is offering via DHCP to do DNS translation for your Mac, it must have useful DNS servers listed.
There are "public" DNS servers. I have no experience with it, but this Web page describes one from Google:
    http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/
Supposedly Google has a DNS server at IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 that you might try. Since the DNS server setting on your Mac is grayed out, as a test you might try noting the setting in the "TCP/IP" tab of your AirPort connection item of the Network panel of System Preferences. Then switch from "Using DHCP" to "Manually", fill in the values you just noted, switch to the DNS tab and fill in Google's DNS addresses, and see if things work better.
do you have any other suggestions of where to seek help???

  • Unable to make connection to XBox Live

Is any one else experiencing a loss of connectivity to XBox live? I'm on the 71.188.80.0 network segment and all day yesterday we were unable to connect to live, same thing this morning. This is a connection that has worked for the last couple of years. When I ping the live node I do not get a response and a trace route disappears after 11 hops in the MSN network, but I can ping the xbox web site and testing with a 1500 byte MTU works fine so it's not an MTU issue. My gut feeling is that a new router or interface was added to the FIOS network sometime yesterday early morning and they've affected the routes being sent to Microsoft. Either that or MSN has a routing loop but I doubt this would only affect FIOS customers (saw a few posts online all from FIOS customers regarding this)
If you are not able to connect to live, can you post your external IP address first three numbers and maybe we can see if there's a commonality. I'm on hold with FIOS support right now so hopefully they are aware of this but usually a routing issue takes a while to get recognized.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

OK, I get support online and they tried to blow me off saying there is no way it can be a FIOS issue. As usual they want to wash their hands of any connectivity issue. There is a possibility that they have a wrongly advertised route in their tables though it's more likely to be a routing loop on the live network they could at least check the routes. Still the immediate jump for the support agent to say it's definately not a FIOS issue is maddening.

  • OO4O - Unable to make connection, ORA - 12170: TNS: Connect timeout occured

    Hi,
I am trying to connect to the Database server from Vista client using code written in VB 6.0, The oracle client installed in Vista is 10.2g
I am using the below code to connect to the oracle database. I tried increasing the INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT parameter in the SQLNet.ora file, but didn't work.
    Set gvobjOraSession = CreateObject(gvOraSession)
    Set gvobjOraDatabase = gvobjOraSession.OpenDatabase(gvOraDBName, gvOraDefaultUser & "/" & gvOraDefaultPassword, vOraMode)
Thanks for the help in advance
    Anand

Are you able to connect using the same information with sqlplus from the same client machine? 12170 is usually a basic client config issue rather than something specific to OO4O.

and tried to follow those instructions. I still can't get this
thing to work. I've been messing with this for several days now .
The current error I am getting is "no suitable drive available for
MYDB, please check the driver setting in resources file, error"
    trying to use JDBC here.
Does anyone have a clear set of instructions for this,
including where all dose the TNS names file have to reside to make
    this work?
    What is the resources file??
    At wits end !

Have you considered purchasing DataDirect's JDBC drivers?

    Good luck!

    please help me out:(
    advance thanks

    Hi ,
You are starting the application from a directory with a special character in the name.
    A simple testcase:
    create a directory c:test(4)
copy odbctst.exe to this directory and start it from this directory
you will get the ora-6413 when trying to connect to an oracle database
The error is caused by the paranthesis in the directory name.In your case program files(x86)
Remove the special characters from the directory name and everything will work as designed.
    For ORA-06413
Please go through the below link

    it would be helpful

  • EA6350 AC1200+ Unable to make connection with Internet

Hi! Just wanted to ask if you could help with this issue I just bought the EA6350 AC1200+  Wifi Router. I tried to set up the router in the same manner, step by step as the instructions tell me to and the Wifi is still telling me that it doesnt detect any internet connection.Whenever i login to the Smart Wifi Menu, the screen tells me that there is a connection between the computer and the router, but no connection with the internet.  I have tried to check if its my internet's fault, by just simply connecting the cable to my laptop and the internet works just fine. My internet connection via LAN cable doenst require any login/password.  Please let me know if anyone can help! Thank you so much! nting007

@nting007 Reset the router to factory defaults. Press and hold the reset button on the back panel of your router for about 10 seconds then release. Once accomplished, follow the steps on this link.

  • Unable To Make Connection With FreeTalk Website

I have tried to reactivate my Freetalk unit (wall plugin). There used to be an area on the freetalk site that would reset the device and always worked when I had a problem. Now I don't see that option.
I've tried doing a reset on the unit and all I'm getting is a solid red light. I'm hoping I can get the website up and try a reset from there to start.
I've had over a year of steady service, but, I'll go with another option for VOIP if this is an indication or MS's takeover.
Thanks in advance for any help with this or an update if they are down.

The only reset page I'm aware of would be the reset page available locally.  Generally that would be something along the lines of this address:
    http://192.168.1.X/administration/popup-factory-reset.php
This address link is found on the system settings page.
What I have found is the device tends to grab an IP then go offline and reset itself.  In my mind, that is indicative of at least one of two things:
    1.  The device does a pre-boot (bootloader/POST) and fails to load a valid image due to corruption in memory (ROM/RAM/NVRAM).
    2.  During POST one of the  pieces of hardware is failing.  A defective part or a cracked trace due to overheating/device shock.
The factory reset procedure available externally on the device should be near equivalent to  the factory reset webpage link.  My biggest complaint with the device is no procedure openly exists to the general public that addresses condition 1.
As far as something getting certified.  It usually means that it met the minimum requirements and passed a barrage of tests thrown at it by the certifier.  If a device passes a series of tests and works flawlessly how is anyone to know how long the device will hold up in the real world for 1 month, 1 year or 10 years in varying environments?
In the dinosaur age of computers,  things seemed to last forever. Nowadays with the increased speed of devices, mass production,  lead-less solder (for our "safety"), accuracy and failure rates seem to go up.  The sad thing is having a warranty on a device is a guarantee by the manufacturer that is will last at least that long.  If it doesn't, it gets replaced under warranty.  If it lasts longer, you're on borrowed time.  There is an expected lifetime for everything but consider it like a car warranty (Ex.  10 year/100,000 miles).  In the computer world you're more than likely going to hit the year mark before you get the mileage out of it.
If I run across what I deem a lemon, I'm more than likely to chose another product or just continue to look elsewhere.

I ran into the same problem during the migration from SBS 2003 Premium with ISA Server 2004 to SBS 2011 Standard, and that is how
    I found this thread.
I have tried ALL of the proposed solutions but unfortunately nothing worked for me…
Even though you paid proper attention to the migration path from SBS2003 to SBS2011 manual, followed all the steps, and performed
    the suggested step:
To configure remote procedure call (RPC) filtering
    1.
    Click
Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft ISA Server, and then click
    ISA Server Management.
    2.
In the ISA Server Management Console tree, expand
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004, expand
ServerName, and then click Firewall Policy.
    3.
In the details pane, click the
    SBS Protected Networks Access Rule.
    4.
    On the
    Taskstab, click Edit Selected Rule.
    5.
    On the
Protocolstab (for an access rule), click Filtering, and then click
    Configure RPC protocol.
    On the
Protocols tab, clear the Enforce strict RPC compliance check box, and then click
    Apply.
…you will still get the notorious
MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make connection to the server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227) error.
Here is the solution to the Small Business Server 2003 with ISA Server 2004 migrating to the next level scenario:
    *** Disable RPC Filter ***
To disable remote procedure call (RPC) filter
    1.
    Click
Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft ISA Server, and then click
    ISA Server Management.
    2.
In the ISA Server Management Console tree, expand
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004, expand
ServerName, expand Configuration, and then click
    Add-Ins.
    3.
    In the
Application Filters pane, click the RPC Filter.
    4.
    On the
Tasks tab, click Disable Selected Rule.
To save changes and update the configuration, click
    Apply.
I also opted to restart the service when prompted after hitting the “Apply” button.
I hope this helps someone to keep whatever is left of his or her hair and lower the blood pressure a bit :)
    This was the solution also!!
Thanks. My heart doctor says that now, ina few weeks i will be fine. and hope my hair grows again.. :)
    Thank you very much
