Videora Help
Someone once left this as a disscussion and it really helped me
For those having Videora Troubles try this for starters...
Create a profile called "H264 WideScreen (Default)", this will be the settings you use to convert wide screen videos etc to your IPOD MPEG4 format.
Set the following under "Video Settings" to
MODE: H264 > CBR
Bitrate: 640kbps
Resolution: 320x176
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Set the following under "Audio Settings" to
Bitrate: 320kbps
Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
Click APPLY
Create a profile called "H264 Standard (Default)", this will be the settings you use to convert Full Screen videos etc to your IPOD MPEG4 format.
Set the following under "Video Settings" to
MODE: H264 > CBR
Bitrate: 640kbps
Resolution: 320x240
Aspect Ratio: 1:1
Set the following under "Audio Settings" to
Bitrate: 320kbps
Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
Click APPLY
Then when you go under the CONVERT section, click on transcode new video, select your video and before you click on START, ensure that the Quality Profile says either of the 2 settings above for the video your converting. Select STANDARD for full screen or WIDESCREEN for widescre
I don't know if this'll work, but you may want to make a brand new profile in Videora in the Profile tab and set up the settings you'd like. Also, once in there, you can tell it to pass through the conversion twice so that it can possibly catch any mess ups. This does double the time to convert, though. And it may not even fix your problem.
If you've got a few hours to kill, maybe try that out and tell us what happens.

Hi. I have a bunch of Mpeg-2 and AVI files on my computer. I used videora to convert them to what i thought was Mpeg-4. I said it was on the file, and it played fine in quicktime/itunes. But wheni went to put it on the ipod the screen just went black, and than went back to the main menu. Is this becasue of videora? Could someone please help? Does anybody know what the videora settings should be? Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded Videora at www.videora.com. i converted a video and put the converted version in itunes succesfully. when i plugged my ipod into my computer, it says that the converted video won't be able to be played on my ipod. can somebody help me solve this problem?
First question. You know when you use Videora to convert a normal video file, yes? The output of DVD Decrypter will be a VOB file (something.vob). Use Videora to convert this file.
If you open up Videora and click the 'Setup' tab on the left. That page should show you where your videos are saved. (Normally, its C:\Program Files\VideoraConverter\Videos). Just open up this folder in Windows Explorer and drag the files to your iTunes window in the same way you add music. Now they will be transferred to your iPod. -
Videora help please (Step by Step)
I'm pretty much computer illiterate, I just opened Videora, and I have no idea how to use it... can someone help please?!
Right, the easy way:
If you want quick file conversions, with minimal effort and pretty good video/sound quality, go for this method.
1: Open Videora
2: Click 'One-Click Transcode'.
3: Browse to and select the video you want to convert.
4: Click Ok.
5: Videora should start to convert your file. The converted version will have the same file name as the original, will be in MPEG-4 (.mp4) format. If you have not changed Videora settings, you'll find the videos in 'C:\Program Files\VideoraConverter\Videos'
Once you have got it all working, it may be work your while checking the Videora website, or searching this forum for more detailed instructions. -

ITunes and Videora help please!
Hey guys, two problems.
1. Usually when I put a movie file on Videora to convert, it takes a good while especially if its a movie or something. Well I just selected to convert a movie on videora and it went from 0 to 100% in like 3 seconds but now its stuck at 100 percent complete with no time remaining but the time elsapsed keeps going and its been like that for 27:38. Everytime I try to do it again it does the same thing, is this normal or is something wrong?
2. I have some tv shows downloaded from limewire and I put them in iTunes, how do I move them to the TV shows section? When i go into info the only choices I have to change it to are Movies or Music videos. is it possible to get my tv shows in the tv shows section?when using dvd decrypter, make sure you use the IFO mode. Then in settings, go to IFO settings and make sure there is "none" showing for file splitting. Then, on the main screen enable screen processing and uncheck everything except the movie and english. Then let decrypter do its work, and then convert with videora.

IPod Converter (Videora) - HELP - Hit Transcode & nothing happens???
Have tried numerous ttimes to get iPod Converter to transcode avi/mpeg files. Everytime I hit "One Click Transcode" or the the other one button - a "Please Wait" message appears for 1 second and then says "Transcode Complete" - but there are never any finished files....
Anybody know where I can get help on this one?
ThanksTry creating a profile using one of the options below, depending on whether you want widescreen or not. Also make sure you use version 0.91.
For H.264 to work with a widescreen movie, try these settings:
Mode: H264>CBR
Bitrate: 640 kbps
Resolution: 320x176
Passes: one
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Audio Bitrare: 160 kbps
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Volume: 200%
For normal resolution try:
Mode: H264>CBR
Bitrate: 640 Kbps
Resolution: 320x240
Aspect ratio: 1:1
Audio bitrate: 160 kbps
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Volume: 200%
By the way, the video will by default appear under a directory called C:\Program Files\VideoraiPodConverter\Videos -
Hello, this question pertains to videora help.
I have been viewing these dicussions for a while and gotten a lot of help, however one problem still remains. I have a series of video's that I need to put on my ipod, I had put them on there before and as many others have complained there was no sound, I then used videora to help convert.
However while this allows some video's to be be placed on my ipod with no error, a new problems has emerged. While watching a video, about 30 mins long, the sound will dissapear for a minute or two and then return. This has occurred in some of my videos but not all, I know this has something to do with a problem that begins wiht m...sorry temporarilly forgotten the name.
Other videos I convert and when I go to put them in itunes, itunes refuses to accept them. Some have said that using mpeg 4 will solve this problem, and in some cases it has. However is there a specific mpeg 4 to use, I notice in profile picker Videora has several for different lentghs of video and type...hopefully someone can help me out here. Thanks.Videora is a garbage converter. Before I got my imac, it was the program that I used and I always had problems with every video I converted. It's free.. what do you expect.

Videora movies play fine then sound drops out, help!!!
i have a black 60g 5g ipod that i used dvd decrypter to rip my personal dvd with and then converted to ipod format with videora. the movies play fine for a while then the sound will stop and the movie keeps playing. if i go back to the menu and start again the sound will resume in the spot it stopped for a while and then stop again. can anybody help? i'm using the mpg4 format in videora. please help im lost- chris
sony vaio laptop Windows XPWhen you are using DVD Decrypt, are you taking the 6 channel sound (or best quality channel just below video), as some of the other sound tracks are Directors Cut etc.
If this fails, try running DVD Decrypter again, and check your buffer is not running out at the bottom of the screen. Try testing the VOB which is created by DVD Decrypter in your Windows DVD player, and see if it ok prior to being converted by Videora. Your DVD player should have an option to play a video file from the disk, I am not familier with the Vaio, but this works with InterVideo WinDVD which came with my ThinkPad. -
i converted an avi movie to mp4 using videora, but i cant seem to find the location of where the converted movie is located ....... help anyone .. please ....
For Windows XP:
Videora places the converted video in a folder labeled Videoraipodconverter which can be located in your program files folder. There should then be a folder labeled Videos. Here is a path for example:
C:\Program Files\VideoraiPodConverter\Videos

Another Videora Post- I just need help with this one problem, please!
I am guessing that the best way to convert your videos to an iPod compatible format is Videora. It works lovely, except for one glitch. I notice that the audio is noticeably off when I play the video. Any solution on how to fix this? I would really appreciate it if anyone helped me out on this
Windows XPIt is on both, I am thinking.. I tried it with a movie avi file, and it always comes out off.

So, I'm having the problem where I open the videora iPod converter choose transcode new video and in 1 and a half seconds it says finished, but when i go in to the export directory there is nothing there. I have looked over each step of about 4 different tutorials about 4 times and each and same with all FAQ's. I have seen my enable debug console (some explain why you can't copy that so i cant paste it here). It mentions that i should searc/find/delete all but the newest cygwin.dll. I seach, find, and then realize that the only cygwin.dll i have is the one that is in the "videoraipodconverter" folder . So I leave it there and then in my debug info it say that it should be located in a x:\cygwin\bin folder. So I created a folder C:\cygwin\bin and copied it in there, but still no dice. So I've searched more into the FAQ's and tutorials, but still no dice. I'm a pretty computer savvy person so you don't need to hold my hand through this, but I would appreciate some info, beecause I got no where else to turn and it seems a lot of people have this problem and most people are just posting the link to the same faq's to them that don't help. So any takers? Anyone know what is goin on and what to be a lamb and try and help me out? Thanks, I appreciate it
