Videos and Apps don't play after 3.0 update

I just bought my ipod touch 3 days ago. worked fine the first day, even with the upgrade, but now it refuses to play videos and apps

Go here and download the manual for the iPod Touch : http://support.apple.com/manuals/
You are going to do a full reset to factory conditions and do not use the Touch's back up to restore. If you have a file error that will just put it back on the Touch so add the videos and apps from scratch.
If that won't work then take it to the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple store, make an appointment by email first so you won't have to wait.
If they can't fix it they'll replace it.

OOo and openjdk don't play after recent update on 86_64

Just did an update this morning and got a new openjdk package - I thought no ill of it 'cos OOo supposedly supports openjdk on x86_64.
Well, it appears it doesn't as I keep on getting an error message when I open a particular document. I then have to kill soffice to get out of the loop of error messages, restart OOo, look in tools, options, etc. to find java for OOo. But none are listed.
I haven rebooted yet 'cos the box is busy until tomorrow morning at least - could that be the solution, a simple reboot?

How do I fix it so that my videos and music don't play in delay mode nor skip through the footage or song?

I have activated and deactivated plug ins for music and checked forums. Nothing has helped.

Personal video and movies no longer showing after Apple TV Update

Since I updated my Apple TV (second gen), all my personal videos seem to have vanished. This includes videos I may have created and/or digitized myself that are present in iTunes on my Mac. Now all I see are movies I purchased thorugh iTunes. I am connecting via my lcoal network to my Mac.
How do I get all my video to show again as it did with the last version of the software?

I believe it depends on licensing rights for movies which rotate from time to time. For example you can usually predict what movies are going to disappear based on their premiering (or re-premiering) on cable channels. My guess is that whatever movies you had on your wishlist probably just premiered on HBO or one of the pay cable channels. Eventually their licensing rights will expire and the movie will return to ATV.

Video and audio not in synch after 11.6 update

Ive updated to the 11.6 version flash player several times and this out of synch issue has happened every time. In the past I just went back to older version. Now the sites I use (youtube, letmewatchthis.com...ext) wont let me use the older version at all. So once again I updated, and of course I have the same problem. The audio appears normal, but the video is dragging, going into a slowmotion kinda thing. Im using Mozilla Firefox, my cpu is a desktop windows XP service pack 2 Pentium 4 1500 MHz 1.50 GHz 512 MB of RAM (yes I know its a pretty pathetic desktop by todays standard, but its all I got for the moment) Ive went down the list on the troubleshooting page and did all that I could. Deleting browsing history, removing flash cache, disable hardware acceleration. Im all out of ideas. If someone could help that would be splendid.

Can you try out latest 10.3 build to see if that works for you? It should work on most sites.

this is don by choosing it in the menu called transfer purchases to itunes or something like that
apps can only be bought once you in itunes you can always choose purchases and show apps not on this ipad and get it back that way

I used CCC to clone 10.6.8 then onto new drive. Everything works BUT all Mac apps.
Error: You can't open the app(s) because it is not supported on this type of Mac. (On MacBook 2011)

All good. Just drag and dropped each application and they worked until I did a restart. Then repaired permissions and everything works.

My apps don't work after synching music files from my PC through Itunes....though all the apps are shown in the Apps window in Itunes (The Apps match the iTunes account on the iPhone).....
Disconnecting after the sync and After downloading any app from Appstore through Wi-Fi all my apps start working.....

What happend is your phone forgot it was authorized to work with items associated with your apple id. If it happens again, download any free app to prompt the sign in, once you install the free app the others should work.

There is also a good chance that the .avi is simply corrupt as often hapens with this format. I have often had .avis that simply will not open, no matter what program or converter you try using. It's a bummer, but being an older format, it is becoming more common.

What happens when you rent movies and they don't play and you tried getting credit for it? I rented two movies which they were very very old movies in black & white and they both don't play. I never had this problem before even when downloading videos. Now how can I get credit for it? I contact itunes a number of times and no one has done nothing as of yet. Itunes also asked me for my order number which I sent them but still no credit.

I have already deleted many photos, videos and apps and yet my available storage in icloud remains exactly the same. What do i do now to reduce the storage so i can once again "back up"

I have reduced my photos, videos and apps quite a bit and yet my available storage in "icloud" remains the same! It won't let me back up now unless i delete storage( which ive done) or buy more storage, which i won't! So now what?

when you go to settings > icloud > storage and backup > and select your device it will tell you what all is going into your backup the next time you perform one. that will give you more information than we can.
the only other thing i can think of is that you have a large amount of 'other' data taking up space on your phone. that consists of settings, the iOS itself, contacts, calendar events, messages, and other things like that. contacts and calendars in icloud don't take up space in your icloud backup because they're being synced in real time, but if they're locally stored or connected to an email address on your phone, they will.
