Videos app playing all episodes in a row of TV Show in iOS 8
Does anyone have been able to disable the autoplay of every episodes of a TV Show in iOS 8?
Episodes from the device or via Home Sharing all play in a row.
Now, don't fall asleep during the first episode of a show! 22 episodes will drain your battery in a jiffy!
I have not found a switch, but I did fall asleep before knowing this. Good thing it was plugged in.
This is a normal thing that people do. Why would auto play be default and why Apple didn't include a toggle at the very least is inconceivable. Now I have a bunch of shows marked "watched" that I didn't actually watch because I was asleep. Now I need to figure out where I left off and mark the rest off as unwatched.
Wonder if this is the same behavior in Apple TV? That would really suck.

Why cant I create a playlist for my music/song videos? Continuous play is also not possible in the video app on the phone!!!! previously, prior to IOS 6, it was possible to have both music videos & songs mixed in the same playlist in the music app
I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming. So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on. But the ipad is a different story. I have the music and artist but not one playlist I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z. Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac. Which I do talk highly of all the time. But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not. Any ideas?

. I'm running Windows XP and FF 8.0. I'm having more trouble than ever with intermittent streaming and videos not playing all the way through. What is the easiest way to fix this?
That may be a problem with the VLC plugin. VLC has never worked for me properly on the occasions that I've tried it on Windows and Linux, so I have stop using it. There are usually other plugins or media players available that work better.
What kind of media files are that?
For WMP files you can install the new Windows Media Player plugin you can also try RealPlayer and QuickTime if it is about media that those programs can handle to see if that works better.

i have problem in FCP while playback in Sony TV, it only shows freedge frame, Video can play smoothly in FCP but in TV it shows only Freedge frame.
Come on gents and gentesses...... I'm really sweating on this one. Can't properly display my combined audio and pic when showing the Timeline contents of FCP in the MacPr's TV monitor Only the pic is appearing without any proper sound, as reported above. Just a mono row.
Does nobody have any idea on the problem or am I too far up to date with the MacPro and FCP 5.1.4 for even Apple to let me in on the way to rectilfy. Bloomin' upgrades...... !

In the original version of the Podcasts app there was an "Unplayed Episodes" list that listed ALL the episodes of ALL the podcasts I had loaded on to my device, and I could listen to them in chronological order from oldest to newest.
In the new Podcasts update I see a list called "All Unplayed" but when I select a podcast from there it plays all the episode of JUST THAT podcast, without switching between podcasts to whatever episode on my device is chronologically next.
Is there a way to listen to my podcasts chronologically across Podcast series and I'm just missing it or did Apple screw the pooch on this one?Please, please, please... I wonder if the solution of deleting the Podcast App and using the Music App again would work. My favorite sports radio station splits up their podcasts by DJ (logical), but I want to listen to all podcasts from one day from all DJs. No longer automatic :(

HT3775 Why won't a video clip play all the way through without stopping and loading so many times?
Any video clip that comes via email will not play all the way through without stopping so many times to load that a short clip takes 10 minutes to watch. Sometimes, the video simply stops and loads forever and ceases to work at all.
This happens for Youtube videos also.
I am using a Snow Leopard Imac.This happens for Youtube videos also.
Uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin then reinstall new.
Very important to uninstall the old first.
Uninstall > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Then reinstall new from here > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Videos app crashes when I try to watch a tv show? Any ideas?
Hi, since upgrading to iOS5 I haven't been able to watch TV shows on the video app on my iPad 2. Up until today I've had diagnostics turned off but just turned them on and found the following diagnostic report which will now hopefully go to Apple so they can finally fix this annoying bug! I'm thinking about getting an appointment at a genius bar but not sure if it will just be a waste of time as I've restored my iPad (complete waste of time) and tried everything I can think of....anyway, the error report reads:

App also crashes when I try to select a genius playlist (though I never use this feature, so not sure if that's new). But I can create on-the-go playlists and play all songs off the iPhone that way if I wanted to.
When I launch the iPod app, it shows the "songs" selection screen by default, even though at the bottom, the "albums" tab is selected.
When I reclick "albums" it changes the screen to sort by album. If I had clicked the "songs" apon launching the iPod app, the screen wouldn't change, but the tab would now move over to highlight "songs".
Hoping it's just a synch mixup but still searching for a solution... -
I bought the entire season 6 of Breaking Bad and it shows I paid for all, but I have not been able to see more than the first episode. Where are the others?

Season Passes and completed TV seasons
When you purchase a TV season or Season Pass, you'll be presented with three options:
Clicking the Later button will not download any episodes. You'll be able to download your episodes at any time from iTunes in the Cloud.
Clicking the Download All button will download all available episodes.
Clicking the Download button will download the earliest unseen episode of the season.

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Tap the Videos app.

N8 - Videos stopped playing all of a sudden

Wondering if someone can help. Just received my blue N8
I watched the tron trailers on it I think on the first day I had it. Today is the third day and all the videos don't play anymore. When I select it, the audio plays fine, and the slider moves as normal but no video at all. There is a broken video icon at the top which I guess signifies it's not able to play the video. Does anyone know what could have happened??Yes I did and it didn't help.
Also just noticed that it's the same with youtube videos. Streams fine, sound comes through fine but no video image -
Upgraded from iOS 4 to iOS 5, my apps are all screwed up, no music, no tv shows ...
I upgraded my iPhone 4 from iOS 4 to iOS 5. After the upgrade my apps were missing, no music, no tv shows, etc. I have gotten the apps back on and only about 10% are in the folders they should be in. At the moment I am having trouble getting the music back on. I followed the steps to sync, backup, etc. but this is very frustrating. Any thoughts on the next steps? Thanks

I used to be able to select a play all episode button in the videos app is this just a setting im not seeing or is it a selection I'll be greatly missing.
Removed. Or I should say when they recoded the video app from scratch for ios7 , it was left out. Support has no idea if it will be added

TS3274 Video app will not play videos just a black screen
I have downloaded videos on my iPad. I press the video app and all I get is a black screen. I have turned off plus restarted the iPad STILL I get nothing. What welsh is there to do? Thanks
I have been having this same problem since the update. Are you running No-Script by chance? That is what was causing me an issue with embedded videos like on Vevo on Youtube, or youtube videos on news sites which would give me "An error has occured" message. Even if I allowed all scripts on the page, or even globally, the video would always return that error. By disabling NoScript, I was able to watch videos again on all of the sites I was having a problem with.
I tested this on another computer with Firefox 3.5. Videos worked fine as long as NoScript was allowing their host (youtube.com, etc) Seems like there is some sort of issue with NoScript and Firefox 3.6.15. -
Ipad Video App don´t show 2 lines subtitles
I´m using homesharing to stream the movies i have in my itunes computer. i have many video files in Full HD
The problem only happen in the Ipad Video App, works fine in the Iphone Video App
The problem only happen with video files that have height of 1920x816 (I test with files with resolution 1920x1280, 1920x800, 1920,812, 1920x814, 1920x816, 1918x816, 1920,820, 1792x1080, 1920x1040)

I have a iPad that kept showing my OLD adress in Orlando Fl on BOTH google maps and Apple Maps, even after I moved up north to South Carolina. I tried everything. I then tried my FIND MY iPHONE on my Macbook Pro and same thing. Annoying.
This evening I set up my BACK TO MY MAC so i could acess my Time Capsule from work. After I set it up, and just for grins, i renewed the DHCP Lease while doing this. After the Time Capsule rebooted, my iPad displayed the correct location immediately. My macbook pro was still showing the OLD location in my FIND MY iPHONE. Did a restart and BAM, its all good.
Not sure if it was the renew or restart of the Airport Extreme Time Capsule.

I am in the process of adding my video media (currently TV Shows, next Movies) to iTunes to allow for viewing on my iPads and AppleTVs. I am having odd results in the Videos app on the iPads (and iPhones for that matter).
When entering the Videos app and selecting my shared iTunes library, the TV Shows are all jumbled (not alphabetized, misplaced artwork, even sometimes showing artwork from audio files).
The only way I've found to solve this is to go into Settings, then Vidoes, and sign out then back into my iTunes account.
Everything looks fine on the AppleTVs.
I am adding a lot of new videos currently, and am hoping that's what's causing this. But is this a common issue? And, is there any other app that can be used to play via homesharing?

put a check in sync movies
sync all movies or selected movies and make sure there is a check next to every movie you want on your device then hit apple at the bottom right -

flam67Ran into the same thing here. Turns out you shouldn't be trying to watch them from iTunes - instead open the "videos" app and all of your purchses should all be there and play in full.
