Videos causing I tunes to need to be closed
Video preview stopped working a few days ago. I try to preview and I get a message from windows that an error has occured, and that I tunes must close. I realized that thiis also happening with the videos in my library. None of them will play. The music plays fine. I dont know what to do.
I ran the diagnostic and it was fine. I tried to open a video using a different username on my computer, and the same error came up. I ran my virus scan and nothing came up. In my spyware search, one file cant be deleted and thats e-musicA. I am going to uninstall a program called emusic (from which ONLY download music) and see if that's the problem but I dont think it is becuase I havent downoaded music from them in weks and this problem with my videos just occured two days ago. Help!! If I reinstall I tunes what happenes to my music??

I'm using windows XP operating system.
It appears I Tunes is not recognizing video DVD. Do I need to install something?
Gateway Windows XPI've just found out last night that iTunes does not allow videos not from the iTunes store. That's not a very good promotion for iTunes. Well, you can always try loading it into Windows Media Player, then dragging the file into your iPod on "Disk Mode".

when i try to add my windows 7 pc to i tunes match, it causes i tunes to crash. I know someone else has had this problem, please tell me how to fix it. I do have the latest version of i tunes software too.
You can authorise your account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of the iTunes screen - if you have iTunes11 then control-B should get the menus to show.

I have inadvertently infringe copyright on facebook and they have subsequently barred me from uploading any more videos.
The question I need answered is ( and not able to find the answer on any of you help pages).....
Do the following have free copyright to publish on facebook and U Tube?
1.Garage band sounds?
2.Slide show...Sample music and Theme music?
3.iMovie...iMovie sounds and iLife sounds ie.Medal Ceremony and Memorial etc?
I note one can publish to shared net places directly from iMovie so one assumes these are copyright free for non-profit making and non-comercial use.
It is impossible to contact apple direct.No email address.We put our selves at risk without this knowledge and like applemac, facebook will not communicate direct.Will applemac please take responsibility for copyright/the above that they are all too willing to sell to us but not support us with that knowledge.
I have Mac OS X Snow Leopard version 10.6.2 (2009 bought in 2010)Thank you Klaus1.The large font, I copied and pasted from my mail box.I'm visually impaired...not to a huge degree but it helps to use the large font.I believe you are right about the copyright on the imac stuff but if facebook decide otherwise, you have to reply electronically to their challenge.If you can't provide a reference directly from the copyright owner then they remove the video.I believe this is a programmed response and no human is involved which now makes it impossible for me to get my video uploading restored.They detect added soundtrack automatically and then challenge.There are many others in the same boat and facebook will not communicate.They have various discussion sites on which I have left messages including Mark Zuckerbergs own facebook but I don't think anyone from facebook ever reads them.I intend to start a second facebook which I can use purely to get my videos uploaded as a lot of my friends enjoy them BUT don't want fall foul of their programming again.If only iMac would put something on the net to this effect.I think it is so unfair that with modern technology it is impossible to contact these large conglomerates personally and receive an email response.I tried emailing [email protected] but I got a failure notice.If you have any ideas on how to get verification from apple direct, I would be very grateful.Thank You.

H.264 video should be supported by your basic Snow Leopard operating system. The DVCPRO HD family of codecs is part of the Apple "Pro" codecs package which is normally installed as part of a "Pro" video editing suite installer or contemporaneously installed separately as part of one of the newer pro editing apps like FCPX. if you already have one of these pro suites or apps installed or available, then re-install the correct codec package that is missing. If not, you will need to purchase a Pro suite or app to be able to install the required codec package. -

If the monitor can be detected your Displays preferences should show it in its Arrangement panel. You may have to play around with your Display panel to get the desired resolution. And also may have to click detect displays and gather windows to see both sets of preferences on your main screen.

Ok, have a new i pod nano and everthing works fine. However downloaded a music video through I tunes store that is sitting in my I Tunes library. However when I go to synch it to the player an error icon appears (round red circle with a slah through) when I drag it over to the player. Also if I try to press the Synch button it will Synch for about 3 seconds and then stop telling my Synch is complete. However the video does not appear in the player.
I have followd all the instructions and have changed the file to fit an I pod (feature in the library) as I understand not all files wil play. However that does not seem to work.
No error messge appears.
I am now at a lost as to what to do.
Would be very greatful for any assitance.

If you are having issues syncing a downloaded video to your iPod nano, even after converting it, you may want to verify that that video conversion and syncing in general are working alright. You may find the following article helpful:

Can not play the music videos on i tunes
i try to play my music videos on i tunes, i have sound but no picture, i can play tv shows , movies but no music videos which i purchase from i tunes store. any idea why this is happening?
is your ipod set to auto sync? if it is, you cant listen to those songs on your computer. if you want to listen to songs that are on your ipod on your computer, set it to manually sync or whatever. that should work.

I have some music videos on my i-pad. when I play one, the music plays but the video does not. I go under "music video" play list select and play, i get music but no video. Can someone be so kind as to help me. this problem just started today.

I purchased these music videos from i-tunes, in the past I just had to go into "Music" on the I-pad and select "music videos" then the one I wanted to play and it would just start playing with video. I don't see any "VIDEO" app. These music videos was downloaded from i-tunes and shold play through the i-pad music app. Any further suggestion?

Can you cause I Tunes on another computer to update?
I had to answer security questions on my computer to verify my account for a purchase and now my husband says I caused I Tunes on his computer to be updated. We share a store account, but it is two seperate computers, two seperate I Tunes programs, and his computer was shut down at the time. Is this possible? If it is can it be reversed?
