Videos from Yahoo or other websites not working properly in Safari

Videos from Yahoo or other websites are not working in Safari on Ipod Touch. I downloaded the plugin, but still it does not work.
Is this functionality supported?

Mr. Jobs, who for some reason can't get an Apple employee avatar (seems strange doesn't it?) is correct that there is no Flash plugin for the iPhone/Touch. Apple did not want to use Flash lite for the the iPhone, which has a full browser, and according to the CEO for Adobe they underestimated the difficulty level in creating a version for the iPhone/Touch. He did say the "ball is in their court", and that Apple (that has had previous battles with Adobe) did have engineers working to help them.
Of course now that the CEO of Apple is calling their code "hideous" the cooperation may end.

Yahoo videos and videos from other websites won't play. I am thinking it's because of adobe flash player but I updated it and I still cant watch videos. Yes youtube works.
Speed dial isn't working right either. It's an add on. It wont let me add a website to the dial. already tried uninstalling and reinstalling this.

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

Hyperlinks to other websites not working

I've just created my new website and I'm having trouble with
hyperlinks to other websites. This is the particular page in
question:
http://www.geographygeek.co.uk/links.html
When I click on any of the links in explorer, they don't
work. The reason seems to be that the hyperlink has my domain name
in front, e.g. the link to sln.org.uk/geography shows up in the
explorer bar as:
http://www.geographygeek.co.uk/www.sln.org.uk/geography/
Does anyone know what I've done wrong? I can't seem to see
anything in the code. I'm sure that this is really basic, so sorry
for being 'needy'!!

You need to change this:

To just
http://www.sln.org.uk/geography/
You can do that by selecting the link(s) then going to the
properties
inspector in Dreamweaver and deleting the part that is not
needed.

Facebook and other websites not loading properly in Firefox (Solution)

This is for anyone who has had issues loading Facebook, eBay, twitter or any other site which shows plain text pushed to the left hand-side of the screen and fails to load images.
This issue had me stumped for about 3 hours. No matter what I did. No matter what I disabled. The problem remained. I cleared my cache, reset cookies, disabled addons, reset Firefox to default settings and kicked my pc a few times for good measure.
The problem was fairly simple and at my end, this is not a problem with firefox. SSL certification for facebook was being deemed invalid and therefore the site failed to load properly. Now because Firefox doesn't deal with SSL certificate failures, there had to be something else going on in another program. I then realised that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was the problem. If a website failed SSL certification for any reason Kaspersky Blocks access to the site which was causing the page to not load properly. You have to disable Kaspersky's SSL certifcation checks to be able to run the websites properly. You need to load your Kaspersky main menu and click Settings once there go to the tab that looks like a cardboard box (Object Detection Settings and Exclusion Rules) then when you can see a list of different options select Network and you should see Monitored Ports and Encrypted Connections Scan, disabled the encrypted connections then reload Firefox and try the webpage that wouldn't load. To know that kaspersky is the problem, you will get a dialogue saying you have to add facebook as an exception since it failed SSL Certification and this was the culprit for me atleast.
I looked at the mozilla support forums and it seemed to me, many people were getting this issue and some issues went completely unresolved and there was no mention about Kaspersky, so I hope this helps.'''bold text'''

This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
* exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
* What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
* is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
* can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.

Gif's not working Properly in Safari

this gif, www.harlemnocturne.ytmnd.com , (worksafe, just turn down speakers) will load for me, but the second half moves extremely slowly. i created that gif, and I know what it should be like, but in safari it doesnt work properly. It loaded and played fine in Internet explorer, but it won't in safari. Other gifs behave this way as well, and its very annoying. I can't remember if this started before the most recent safari patch or not.

Pinch to zoom not working properly in Safari 5.1

I have OS X 10.6.8 (downloading lion as i type). I updated safari this morning and ever since I did that, pinch to zoom isnt working right. I can pinch to zoom in, to a certain extent but I can not get as large as I want as I used to and I cannot zoom back out at all. It seems to be working properly in my other apps so I guess it's something in safari. I'm not very Mac savvy since everything usually works and I dont have to be, so maybe I'm missing something? Help! I use this feature CONSTANTLY and desperately want it back. Thanks in advance!

Pressing Command and +/- still worked.
I deleted Safari 5.1 and reinstalled the Combo Update to get 5.0.5 back and it worked properly again.
Then I installed 5.1 another time and had the same error again.
I guess I got to roll back to 5.0.5

Flash uploader is not working properly in safari 5.1

Outlook web app not working properly in Safari since switching to Yosemite

I have installed/upgraded to Yosemite first on my MacBook Air (13-inch, 2011) and then on my IMac 13.2 (27inch, 2012). In both cases I have experienced the same thing: when trying to attach a file to the message written using the Outlook Web App, I get only upper part of this window and while I can browse for the file, I cannot attach it as I cannot reach and click the "attach file" button. Needless to say this is really annoying!
I did not have this problem before upgrading to Yosemite and Safari 8. The same function still works if I use Firefox or Opera.
Anyone had similar problems and any suggestions how to go around it without switching back to the old OS X?

This is working properly in ie,mozilla, chrome. but it's not rendering the color in safari mac..

Safari cannot play videos from youtube or other websites

Hello,
I recently tried to go online to view a video for my class. However, when I clicked on the link, it just was a blank screen. When I tried to go to Youtube and watch videos, I got a blank black screen where the video should be. Can you help me please? Thanks.

Uninstall then reinstall the most recent version of Flash which you need for YouTube.
Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
Now repair disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Why are videos taken with a 4S suddenly not working properly when sent to non iphone users since the update?

Suddenly non I-Phone users cannot view videos anymore, they can hear the sound, but no audio. Iphone users are having issues viewing the videos too. This all started with the 6.0 update. Please fix it or tell me how to restore my phone back to the previous update, it is quite annoying.

It sounds like you are getting some audio issues with the included Ear Buds when they are plugged in. I wanted to recommend these troublehsooting steps from the article named:

3. Disconnect and Restart
Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible. Restart iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad by turning it off and then back on. When the Home screen reappears, reconnect the accessory.
4. Isolate
Isolate the issue to the accessory, if possible. Or, if available, try to reproduce the issue with another identical or similar accessory.
Examples:
If there is static coming from the left audio channel when using headphones, try connecting the headphones to a stereo, or try connecting a different set of headphones to the device.
If the device is not syncing when connected to the dock, try connecting it directly to the computer using the Dock Connector to USB Cable, or try another USB port.
6. Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to its factory default state. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.

Flex website not working properly in Firefox

Hi All,
We have a huge app built in Flex. When we deployed the app, it ran successfully in IE,Opera,Safari.
But in FIREFOX, the site opens up and the user is able to login for the first time. After that when he log out and re-login in the same Firefox browser, the click events are not firing.
any help?

Website not displaying properly in Safari

Hi
I have a MacBook Air. One of my favourite websites (my sons' school) has suddenly stopped displaying properly - no images, just text on a black screen. The text is the menu that should down the left hand column of the website, but none of the content which usually displays alongside it is visible (picture inserted below)
I thought it must be the site's problem but it displays perfectly on my other devices. I suspect if may be something to do with caches (if Macs have them?) I have tried clearing my browsing history but to no avail. As there are new pics up of my kids I would love to work out how to get it to display again - any help would be much appreciated! Scroll is not working properly in safari 5.1 in window as well as Mac PC.

I have a jsp page that renedering data dynamically using DWR (Ajax calling). but at the end scroll bar isn't loading all the data in whole page.so i can't see the data at bottom level but. when i click anywhere or just refresh some part of my page than Safari Browser's got the correct scrollbar with all the data loading. Again when i refresh and reload my page than it will give me same issue.... Scroll bar does't appear. Is anything performance or speed issue with DWR(Ajax DataLoading with scrollbar in safari 5.1 ?? Bcoz It's working fine with old SAFARI 5.0 version.
