Videos/games will not play

From my iMac, I am unable to get videos to work on sites such as YouTube and other game sites. I have updated to the recent version of Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave, but no difference. I have also verified that my Plugins are properly selected. Please help!

Have you checked your browser's security settings? Perhaps they are restricting the use of certain content.

Sounds like a good plan, you can never be to safe and having a second External HD is safer than one.
The only thing that I would do different, is setup the 3T as my TimeMachine Backup and then erase and move my Photos, Videos and perhaps even iTunes Media to the 1T. That way you will have room to backup both the Internal Hard Drive and the 1T External Hard Drive to the 3T using TimeMachine.
Take your time, study and use the > Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions if you get stuck or aren't sure how to make the move.

I ahve purchased 5 music vidoes from iTunes and they will not play on my iPhone4. The error message that appears is:

I am not sure how to fix this so I can watch my videos?

It all depends on exactly how you move the library from one machine to the other. The database holding information about your library is normally in a folder called iTunes, with the media in a subfolder called iTunes Media. In this layout you can usually copy the entire iTunes folder from one machine to the other and it will work. If the media folder is split to a new location however then often the links to tracks will fail on a new computer.
You shoud find that the FindTracks script is able to repair the links in your library.
I'm not sure I know what is going on with the purchased music, however if you enable Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music you should be able to recover your past store purchases.

Video Attachments will not play within the mail program.

When trying to view a video attachment from within the mail program it will not play the video. It loads the sound but not the video. This started after a recent apple software update. It is happening on several computers also so it is not an isolated problem. Seems to be a "quicktime" issue. I can download them and play them through quicktime but not while in "mail" like I used to be able to do.
I use "Flip-4-Mac" to view some windoze videos (wmv).

It's a conflict between QuickTime 7.5.5 and Flip4Mac. Not much you can do but wait for the Flip4Mac people to issue an update. See here: http://www.flip4mac.com/knowledge/kb_0079.htm

30 GB Video IPOD will not play the songs...PLEASE HELP!!!

My 30 GB Video IPOD just stopped playing the songs. You can move easily through the menu, select a song, and press the play button, but the song will not play (the time bar doesn't move at all). It's as though it is frozen...it never moves from 0:00. Every other aspect of the unit is working...but the songs. Can someone help???

Sound on video's will not play through headset on iTunes

Hi All,
I can not get the sound on any video to play through my headset in iTunes, the music tracks in the library play fine. When I start a video I get the first 2 second of sound then it ceases and if I stop a video it will not restart. The video's are a mixture of commercial bought video's and H422 FCP videos converted to MP4.I am using iTunes 11.1.5 on OS X 10.8.5, any ideas ?

UPDATE:
The problem is not present on OS X 10.6.8 where the sound plays fine in iTunes 11.1.5 if this helps anyone

Maybe somebody else has more specifically related experience, but I recommend:
1. reporting problem to Adobe (or adding +1 to existing report), and providing sample if asked for it.

2. In the mean time, if you can't find other resolution: transcode video to something Lr likes, OR open in player which works, thus bypassing Lr.

My video rental will not play. Any suggestions?

I downloaded a video rental, and it will not play. I get the message that my rental will start, and I have 24 hours to watch it. Once I click 'continue', the movie will not play. I checked the forums for information, but I couldn't find anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

@ sberman - All good questions, but the issue is being resolved as we speak. I downloaded a video rental to my iTunes 11.0.2 on my MacBook (OSX 10.6.8). I was trying to watch the rental on my machine, but as I said, nothing would play. To resolve the issue, I contacted Apple Support by submitting an issue ticket through iTunes. They reset my purchase/rental, and gave me some steps to try (upgrade iTunes, ensure download is complete before disconnecting from the internet, etc., etc.). Hopefully this works!

My new ipod will not play when it is being charged..., it keeps saying "Do not disconnect". Is it normal. If so this ***** !!! Or is there a setting I have overlooked !?
Gosh, I am a techie and I am having so many problems with this crap & iTunes. Why the fcuk can it not just copy Directory structure (which has music files, photos, etc.) as is and not have to create freakin Playlist.

Have you Restored the iPod?
if I eject ipod manually from the cradle or by ejecting it using iTunes. But then it stops charging.
Your USB ports shut off when the iPod is Ejected.
Here’s how to fix that.
1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. Click the Hardware tab.
4. Click Device Manager.
5. Scroll down the list of devices to the Universal Serial Bus controllers
6. Click the plus icon next to the Universal Serial Bus controllers.
7. Double-click one of the indented USB Root Hub entries.
8. Click the Power Management tab.
9. Deselect the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option.
10. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.
11. Restart the computer.
Also, about the playlist, if you do not create them, how will you sort or find from 1000's of music files
You can use playlists but you don’t have to.
On the iPod they are already sorted by;
Artist
Albums
Songs
Genre
Composers
EPHPod automatically creates a Playlist using the Directory name. Why can't iTunes do the same.

New videos, one will not play audio others will.

I purchased five new videos and they all play back fine except one. The one in question has no audio. I checked all the speakers and stuff and did not see a problem. I closed the window and opened the next video and it works fine. All my music plays fine too. Please help...

I sent an email to iTunes and they issued me a credit. They said evey thing was fine with my computer, it was the video that was not working. I will download it again when the credit comes through.

Compressor Video File will not play in DSP Menu

I built a menu in FCP exported to compressor, and changed the settings to progressive to get rid of the interlaced lines. When I drag the compressor file to my menu it is a solid blue and does not play. The below image is what it looks like.
I did another compressor file without making it progressive and it plays fine, but it has so many lines through it because there is a lot of movement in the video. Is there any settings I can use in DSP to make my menu play?

Progressive video is not supported in any Menu Domain per the DVD Spec. DVD is an inherently an interlaced playback platform. If your having interlacing issues, the problem is in your workflow. Is your field order correct?
