Videos in the 60GB [i need help!!]

well i got the 60GB and i tried to put videos from my computer in it, but it's not going to well, and when i'm actually able to one in, it doesn't play with sound
[and yes, the volume is up]
what am i doing wrong? =[

I hv recently purchased a 30G iPod video. Problem downloading VCD to iTune. I downloaded the Videora which converts to MP4 format but when added on to iTune it could only the music is being converted but not the video.
Call apple support they told me Videora do not merge the music and video files. Do you have this similar problem? Or would you recommend me to another suitable video converter software.

ok well, i have the same problem like a lot of ppl with the videos. they see the video on the ipod but no sound. i tried converting it, and it did but with no sound.
but i heard something about videora.com well i downloaded the thing, it was advertising but i have no idea how to convert my movies on it

You've got to try to figure it out. Look for a ReadMe.txt file that comes with Videora's download/installation. Trust me, it's really not hard.

1.Garage band sounds?
2.Slide show...Sample music and Theme music?
3.iMovie...iMovie sounds and iLife sounds ie.Medal Ceremony and Memorial etc?
I note one can publish to shared net places directly from iMovie so one assumes these are copyright free for non-profit making and non-comercial use.
It is impossible to contact apple direct.No email address.We put our selves at risk without this knowledge and like applemac, facebook will not communicate direct.Will applemac please take responsibility for copyright/the above that they are all too willing to sell to us but not support us with that knowledge.

Thank you Klaus1.The large font, I copied and pasted from my mail box.I'm visually impaired...not to a huge degree but it helps to use the large font.I believe you are right about the copyright on the imac stuff but if facebook decide otherwise, you have to reply electronically to their challenge.If you can't provide a reference directly from the copyright owner then they remove the video.I believe this is a programmed response and no human is involved which now makes it impossible for me to get my video uploading restored.They detect added soundtrack automatically and then challenge.There are many others in the same boat and facebook will not communicate.They have various discussion sites on which I have left messages including Mark Zuckerbergs own facebook but I don't think anyone from facebook ever reads them.I intend to start a second facebook which I can use purely to get my videos uploaded as a lot of my friends enjoy them BUT don't want fall foul of their programming again.If only iMac would put something on the net to this effect.I think it is so unfair that with modern technology it is impossible to contact these large conglomerates personally and receive an email response.I tried emailing [email protected] but I got a failure notice.If you have any ideas on how to get verification from apple direct, I would be very grateful.Thank You.

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

If you have not done a factory reset on the device, I recommend doing a complete factory reset.
Factory Reset - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.
This method will not erase any MDN/MIN information
Turn off the phone
Press Power + Volume Up/Down at the same time and hold until display will show a triage android screen
Display will show:
Reboot system Now
Apply sdcard:update.zip
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reset System Now" - device will reboot
If the problem persist I recommend having a store technician take a look at the device.

Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. Was the game downloaded via another iTunes account ? All apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account will be able to make in-app purchases in them. If that is the case and you want to be able to do IAPs via the account that you are currently logged in with then you will need to delete the game (which will delete your progress in it) and then download it on your account

Monitor(video) on emac blew up, need help with external monitor....

Hello everyone, I have an old Emac which the monitor popped and stopped working. I bought the plug and had an external older monitor working once, then I plugged in a newer monitor and now neither will work. The xternal monitor has a small blue rectangle bouncing around saying "please check pc display settings. I tried to reset the ram by restarting the Emac and holding down the command,option,p, and r buttons. This made the second restart sound, but the video still does not work. Is there another sequence to reset? Am I doomed now? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello again, yes it was the picture tube that went. the smell was awful. The machine still runs, but since I plugged the flat screen monitor into it, it will not display either monitor. It was working once with an older monitor, but now it just diplays "adjust pc display settings". I needs to view the emac so I can retrieve my files. I've also tried resetting the pram, but that did not work. What can I do? I'm stuck. Thx.

Depends on which Samsung flip phone you have. Does it have an SD card?
You may be able to plug the phone into the computer, allow the drivers to load, and then move the pictures to the computer. Then you could move them from the computer to the new phone.
Knowing which phone you have would help us help you.

Two computers for the same website, need help!

Hello everybody, I really need some help here!
I am working on a website at the office and to save some
time, I've send by email all the files related to it to my pc at
home. When I tried to open the pages at home, I've found problems
with visualizing the pictures, there are squares instead! The
pictures are at the same position where I've put it, but there no
images, just those squares with a draw of a tore picture inside. I
want to know if this is trivial when the files are transfered to
other computer.

Video won't stream. Need help

I have a flash video, that will play when localy stored on my
hard drive, and it will play as a progressive download (delivered
via HTTP), but it will not play if I set it up to stream (delivered
via RTMP).
Any thoughts on why this is happening or how I can fix this?
The video is not one I personally created, it was created by
one of my partners and sent to me via FTP to load to our CDN. 30 of
the 50 files they had sent to us DO STREAM, but the 20 that don't
have me baffled.
Any thoughts?

Here is how I fixed the files:
First I used the FLV Check Tool to determine the error and I
came up with -9 which is an Invalid FLV message footer.
Then I found info on Fixing Flash videos (FLV) for use with
Adobe Flash Media Server (FMS) here:

It basically instructs you to use FFMPEG to rewrite the
metadata by telling it to copy the video and audio streams over and
only write new metadata. So the streams remain untouched (thus
video quality stays the same), only the container metadata is
regenerated (ie. fixed if it was "broken").
Here is the FFMPEG line to write into your command line tool:
ffmpeg -i input.flv -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.flv
Once I did this and reran FLVCheck Tool, everything passed.
Now to actually stream the video and see if all is well...

I'm on the fence and need help, please.

My service contract is up and I'm ready to get a new phone. I want a touch screen phone with no data plan and I'm turn between the Lg cosmos touch and the KIN 2m. I have seen a lot of mixed reviews on the 2m and mostly positive reviews for the cosmos touch. I have held the cosmos touch in the store and really liked the feel of the phone, seemed very solid and well built. The stores in my area do not carry the 2m and they almost scolded me when I asked about it.
My current phone uses are just talk with very light texting, the camera on my current phone is so bad that I don't use it and it's not an mp3 player either. I would like my new phone to be a good talk phone with a decent camera and mp3 player which the 2m seems to have covered, but I do have a few questioned for you as follows.
1. With only 8Gig of memory probably less usable about how many songs will the 2m hold?
2. Does the phone feel well built and solid like the cosmos touch?
3. Does the radio use up your minutes or is it free?
4. How would you rate the camera?

As for physical quality of the phones, the cosmos touch is better. It has a more durable feel to it. However, i would still pick the Kin 2m. The front of the phone is very rigid and strong, the only drawback to the Kin's physical quality is its battery door. It is thin and feels cheap. However, i put a Skinomi 'Techskin' on my phone yesterday, and i am very satisfied with it. Along with a few rubber bumpers on the inside of the battery cover, it makes the phone feel as solid as any other. As mentioned, cases are available for this phone, too. Their quality is pretty good, the only drawback is the slightly added bulk. However, with the Techskin (similar to Zagg's invisibleshields..only better), i feel like i have adequate protection for the phone. It also fixes the slippery feeling of the battery door texture. The skinomi skins cost $10 for the screen only, and $18 for the full skin (front and back). It has a lifetime replacement warranty too, and from reviews i've read, their customer service is good enough to hold you to that.
I would recommend the Kin 2m. Your phone needs are very similar to what i was looking for about a month ago when i upgraded phones: calling/texting, and a camera (and in your case, an MP3 player). Its call quality is exceptional in my opinion, both the earpiece and speakerphone. The camera is top-notch, @ 8mp and HD video. You do have to hold the phone still while taking the picture, but that is the same with any phone camera (their shutter speeds are quite a bit slower than regular cameras). It has fully incorporated Zune player in it, along with FM radio (the radio is free, but you do have to plug in headphones to use it; it uses the headphones as an antenna). The 8 GB is plenty big for me. As for how many songs it can hold, it will vary from the quality of the music you have. Standard is 160 kbps, but for me personally, i can drop it all the way down to ~112 and still not notice the decrease in sound quality (i'm pretty sure the Zune software has a way to do this, i'm not familiar with it though, i know iTunes can do it though..). That allows me to add 1.5x more music to the same amount of storage space. Create a few playlists and add your favorite albums/artists, and you'll still have plenty of storage.
