Videos No Longer Working

Hi all,
I have an iPod Touch (64gig) with 3 movies, 60 music videos and some podcasts. Over the past week or so when you push the video button on my touch I get a white screen for about a minute and then it goes back to the main menu. The odd thing is the videos/movies play in iTunes, the music videos play when I go to the music option in the touch.
While in iTunes, I changed the Hangover movie to a music video (options in iTunes), the movie will play like a music video. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or has there been a glitch with the iPod Touch update. This is very frustrating. Suggestions?

This has been a problem for me since 4.2.1 and the 4.3 upgrade didn't address it. The bug appears to be related to music videos on the ipod. I have found a workaround.
Here's what I did:
Remove all music videos stored on your ipod
Within iTunes, highlight all of the music videos in your library
Select Get Info then Options
Change the Media Kind from Music or Music Video to TV Programme
The music videos will then be stored within TV Programme section of the iTunes library
Now highlight all of the music videos again and select Get Info
Under the Info, make sure Album & Album Artist is labelled 'Music Videos'
Now drag all of the music videos to your ipod.
Most of the time the Video App will still 'white screen' then crash and return to the home screen the first time I select Videos. However, if I press Videos a second time, the white screen will linger for a little while longer BUT will end up showing all of my videos including the music videos.

Try this and see if it fixes it for you. Close all apps in the recents tray and then reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of all of the app icons. Tap the home button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Converted YouTube videos no longer work

I have been converting some YouTube videos for my own offline use for some time to view on my iPod Touch. I use a little program called TubeSock.
Since 2.0 software was released for both iPod Touch and the iPhone 3G all of my converted videos no longer work. Apple changed something. I also have an e-mail into TubeSock to see if they have an update in the works.
Anyone else experience this problem and if so any solutions?

If it happens again then you can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Why, after installing iTunes 11.1.4.62, do my videos no longer work? Running Windows 7, fully updated, on a PC.

I did the whole uninstall/reinstall thing because I got the Msvr80.dll issue and got rewarded with this new problem! VERY Frustrated to say the least!

Facebook videos are still working for me in the Facebook App (using iOS 7.0.6).
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

You Tube videos no longer work after Flash Player upgrade

I am running Win XP 2002 with SP3 and Firefox 3.6.15. I just upgraded flash player and now the You Tube videos no longer display. The You Tube sound works. IE has not be affected and I can see the You Tube videos. Firefox does display videos from Netflix and news sites but not You Tube. Your company wants $39.00 to solve a problem that is the result of your efforts, not mine. I think that is wrong. So what do I do so I can resume using Firefox to view You Tube videos?

To eidnolb/anyone else who can help?
I am having a great deal of issues trying to sort out the flash player. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the flash player, however I still get the same messages on sites such as youtube, bbc that I do not have the correct version installed and to install version 10.
I notice that you have mentioned to right click the flash symbol and then on to settings on the link page that you provided, unfortunately, all i can see is a plain box with a cross in the top left hand corner, and when i right click, there is no Settings option. i have run malware and other sytem scans and have removed any issues that there might have been, all still to no avail.
Any further help will be greatly appreciated.

Importing Videos No Longer Works

Recently, iPhoto stopped recognizing and importing videos from my cameras.
I used to work fine, now, I'm not sure what happened, it no longer works.
Is this common or just occurring for me?
Any comments appreciated.

Nay. The videos will not appear anywhere except on the camera.
I take the card out, and no videos. So I know they are on the card.
The camera records in AVCHD Lite and Motion JPEG.
The videos I'm having problems with are AVCHD Lite.
I found TD's posting about these file types and was able to import the video using iMovie.
Once in iMovie, I found the source of the imported images and added them to iPhoto.
I'm changing the setting to Motion JPEG so I don't have to do this in the future.

Embedded videos no longer work in iOS5

I have a couple of videos embedded on my website. Suddenly after updating my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5, and on my new 4S these videos no longer play at all. They used to play fine on the 3GS running iOS 4. They also still play fine on an original iPhone 2G running iOS 3.1.3
And of course they play fine in any browser on a Mac or a PC.

Could someone please check if they play in your iPhone running iOS 5, and/or let me know if they play correctly in earlier versions of iOS.
Does anyone know a solution for this, since obviously the videos are embedded properly because they play for me in earlier versions of the iOS.

I had given up on this and not checked this for a long time, since I posted the original post above. After your note I checked again, and it now seems to work just fine.
On my old iPhone 3GS the videos play fine now under iOS 5.1. And on my new iPhone 4S the videos also play just fine. On the 4S I am still running iOS 5.0
I did not make any changes to the video files in question.

News videos no longer work

I can't play the videos any longer on yahoo. They use to work just fine. I've updated Flash Player already. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. My browser is Mozilla Firefox. Please help!!

Stanza and my videos no longer work after upgrade to iOS5?

I upgraded to iOS5 on my 3GS.
Problem 1:Now Stanza just hangs and I get a null error. The books are also gone from iBooks (They both had the same titles - I use Stanza to read at night because of the night view option.) I imagine this has something to do with Newstand. Can anyone offer any advice.
Problem 2 : I have a large collection of old 1950's TV shows that are in MP4 format. I keep a few on my iPhone for times when I travel and there is nothing on TV. Now when I go to the Videos icon they are listed but are "greyed out" and I can not click on them. The old radio shows work fine in Music (formerly Ipod) but the videos will not work. I am sure this is not a DRM issue because they are in the public domain and free to download at the Library of Congress. I have not yet tried a purchased video, though so this could be it. Can anyone offer any help for me. I am just an old retired guy struggling with new technology!

Slow Motion Videos no longer working...?

Just updated my iPhone 6 Plus to iOS 8.1. Currently all my slow motion videos no longer run in slow mo and I don't get the settings to set which portion is in slow mo. Anyone else having this problem?

...does someone really use iMovie to edit MPEG4??

.. would be a nice feature in any x.2 upgrade:

Closed captioning for video no longer works for iPhone 4 since iOS 5.0 update. Is there a fix for this?

Closed captioning while video-playing is one of the coolest features of iOS devices. But for my iPhone (and an iPad user elsewhere from the Net), ever since I updated to iOS 5, the closed captioning icon no longer appear amongst the list of icons when you play a video WITH a closed caption capability.
I have played videos with closed captions before prior to iOS updates and been having no problems till I tried with iOS 5.
I tried turning the setting on/off in the Videos Settings, tried deleting and re-adding the video to the phone and also rebooted the phone.
Hoped someone could find a fix for this. The community can try it on iOS 5 and see if it is also an issue for them since I haven't seen but rarely people having this issue i'm having.

My son has a similar problem since updating to the latest software on his iphone 4. He can make calls but the other person can't hear him. Facetime and Skype work fine - so it must be the lower microphone that is the problem. He's had it checked at the Apple store in Chiang Mai but they won't fix it - he has to get it back to the UK for service. It's 2 months over the warranty period but having checked around it seems this problem is widespread and Apple need to sort it fast!
I've updated mine and it's fine - but I'm gonna take out applecare before the warranty runs out as I'm not risking having a £495 phone that I can't use as a phone.
I was thinking of buying one for my wife this Xmas but no way whilst they are having so many problems.
COME ON APPLE - GET THIS FIXED WITH A NEW RELEASE ASAP!

Videos no longer working on iPod

I use my 5th gen daily and have several video clips on the iPod that used to play on it without fail, I loaded them once and just left them on. Now, they show up in iTunes but are no longer on the iPod. I convert video clips from this source daily and now none of the new ones will transfer to the iPod either (but will show up in iTunes). I can do the convert to iPod and it works but my question is what changed that I have to convert them twice now?? None of my other video clips are having this problem. I use Videora to convert and have never had problems with it before.

There are some files (such as MPEG-1 and those with muxed audio) that Quicktime has trouble converting. I use iSquint for converting videos for my iPod, and it works great. It's faster than Quicktime, and it's also free!

Videos no longer work in 6.0.2.23

I upgraded to the new iTunes and I can no longer transfer some of my videos to my iPod after previously working. In fact it took some off my iPod. It now gives me the standard error message that these files are unable to play on the iPod even though i was just viewing them before. They files were encoded in mp4 with Xilisoft's iPod Video Converter. I have 30 GB iPod. Anyone else have this problem and how do I correct it. The movie I encoded with the DVD to iPod Converter still works fine though. Did iTunes realize it wasn't converter by it now that it can converter videos on its own? Any thoughts on this?

The popup's is having enough width to show all items. However, it is not perfect still, as the width is little too much. I still can see some extra space at the tailing of the list.

Iphoto videos no longer work

right after I upgraded from Mountain Lion to Mavericks, I tried to open some of my videos in my iPhoto video library, and all I get is the frist frame of the video. Every video in my Library shows a single frame. i have hundreds of client's multimedia files that I can no longer play. Is there a compatability issue with Mavericks that anyone may be aware of? Also the system appears more sluggish than before, and I have a very high-end configuration, iMac, 3.4GHz, 32G Ram.

I don't understand what it could be. These are all .mp4 videos taken with the iPhone and imported into iPhoto a long time ago. I have played these videos through iPhoto several times before, but a couple of days ago when I tried opening one, it only plays the first frame and shows 0:00. There are a few other videos, same format, that play ok, but most of them don't. The only think that has changed since they all worked is the upgrade to Mavericks. I am totally confused.
