Videos Not Added to Slideshows

When I try to create a new slideshow from an album contining both photos and videos, the slideshow contains only the photos. What am I doing wrong? I'm using OS X 10.7.5. Thanks, all.

Normally when iTunes ignores our attempts to add a video file, that's iTunes' way of saying it cannot play the format. It's very picky, and it sure would help if it popped up a message instead of just ignoring us. But since you can play those videos in Quicktime, the problem is different. Here is a trick that has worked for me.
Find a short video in your iTunes library.
Open the file's location (Ctrl-R) and make a copy of the file. It doesn't matter what you name the new file.
Drag the file to iTunes. Your library now has an entry for the original file and an entry for the copy.
Back in the Explorer window, delete the copy so iTunes won't be able to find it.
Select the copy in iTunes, then Get Info (Ctrl-I). ITunes will say it can't find the file and will ask you to locate it.
Point iTunes to the home video you wanted to add in the first place. Now all you have to do is fill in the Get Info window with accurate details.
This has worked for me to get certain MPEG-4/H.264 files into iTunes when no amount of importing or dragging would work. It seems that iTunes is more accepting of video when it already has a library entry to pair it with.

Video and songs downloaded not added to my list

Could someone get back to me reguarding some purchases that went through but the songs and videos were not added to my list. A couple of songs were in the process of being downloaded but we had a power outage, can you help me.

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for purchases" command and run that. You may find the other items there to be downloaded.
If not, follow the instructions on their web page for contacting the iTunes Store. They'll probably then reset the download for those missing tracks.

All of a sudden (video) files added to my iTunes library after a certain date aren't playable on other devices.

All of a sudden I have a weird issue with playing video-files added to my iTunes library after a specific date.
This is the situation so far:
I encode the video for iTunes with the same settings for the last 3 years. I know these vids play on all my devices. AppleTV & iPad. All of a sudden videos added to my library after the 8th of september aren't playable on my AppleTV and iPad. I can play them directly in iTunes and by accessing them directly via the finder and quicktime.
The following errors occur:
When I pull the video from iTunes on my AppleTV.. the video simply doesn't play.
When I pull the video from iTunes on my iPad I get a message that the file can't be found.
When I push the video from iTunes to the AppleTV using airplay I get a message that there has occured an error while connecting to the AirPlay-device "Apple TV". The necesary file could not be found. In addition when the AppleTV is switched off it doesn't turn on doing this, suggesting that there is something missing on my mac itself.
All the above errors aren't popping up when I choose a video that has been put in my library before the 9th of september. Then everything works as expected.
This is what I tried:
Turning off and on home sharing on all devices including the mac.
Logging in wiht a different apple ID though using the same ID as before.
I created a new iTunes library and populated with a video that was added after the 8th of september and one that was added before the 9th of september. Surprisingly the older one played and not the newer one.. while they both used the same encoding settings. The new library was locally on my mac as my original library is on a NAS.
I encode my videos with Quicktime 7 Pro using the following settings:
H.264 (current frame rate, key-frames:automatic, re-order frames, automatic bitsize)
Medium Quality
Multi-pass
current resolution (which is always 1280 X 720)
AAC sound
44.100 kHz
128kbps
I'm using the Mountain lion 10.8.2 and iTunes 10.7 Mountain lion got updated a few days after 19th of september and iTunes i think as well. Both versions were released after this issue seemed to pop up.
I also have two video-files encoded on the same day with the same settings that dragged into the iTunes library on the 9th of september. One works.. the other doesn't.
So I wonder if there is somebody out there that can tell me what might have happened here and how I could fix this issue.

Apple MacMini (Mid 2011) - OSX 10.8.2. iTunes 10.7. Home Sharing enabled.
Apple TV (3rd Generation). Home Sharing (access) enabled.
Apple MacBook Pro (15" Mid-2009). OSX 10.8.2. iTunes 10.7. Home Sharing enabled.
Apple iPad 2 (Wifi only). iOS 6
Apple iPhone 4S. iOS 6
All connected through:
Apple Time Capsule 8.0211n (4th Gen)
I have an iTunes library on the MacBook Pro, shared over "Home Sharing" and another (duplicate content, different library name) iTunes library on my MacMini, which is also accessed through the Apple TV.
All software is current (as of Sep 26th).
All movies are iTunes purchases. 80 in total.
All files are purchased (and home shared) under one account.
My last two iTunes purchases both HD movies on 09/17/2012 and 09/05/2012 refuse to appear on any device accessing either of the two Libraries over Home Sharing. It should be noted that every other movie (the other 78) all show up and play correctly. I therefore know it is not an issue with connectivity, otherwise I would see zero movies available.
I have:
1. Removed all content from each Library and re-added
2. Upgraded the OS on the MacMini 10.8.2
3. Tested viewing the two missing movies on other Apple devices and no luck.
4. Turn home sharing on and off within iTunes and also on each device.
It would appear to me that the issue is with the files themselves, rather than the devices as different devices and different versions have been tested.
All comments welcome.

The issue with the A1400 is that like most economy compact cameras, they will not have very fast focus times in indoor lighting situations. Many people have gone to entry level DSLR's (Canon T3i) or micro 4/3 cameras. They are fairly expensive, but a late model refurbished T3i can sometimes be found with a kit lens for about $300.00. With Auto and scene modes, as well as full manual modes, these are very versatile cameras that focus very quickly, even in lower lighting situations. Canon is not really into the micro 4/3 cameras, instead they are focusing on the new G7x and G1x cameras, which are way out of your price range. The A720 is still available used at some places such as KEH camera, but you'll need to check often as their stock changes constantly. Obviously the DSLR's don't use AA batteries, but the T3i is good for about 600 photos (or more) per charge.
My refurbished DSLR was practically brand new condition when I got it. I could not find any sign of wear at all, so I feel they are a real bargain. These are rugged cameras that are made to last. The A1400 is a $99.00 camera, so it's not intended for heavy usage, plus the image quality of a DSLR (even entry level) is far better than the A1400. That would be my recommendation.

Sorry, I didn't really hit the problem with this post.
I had just downloaded 9.0.3.2 and was trying to check if some critical problems we had were indeed fixed in the patch. As I realized myself later, my assumptions were wrong (but not the final results, unfortunately).
After another couple of days of debugging, I was able to identify the real problem, which I posted in BC4J: association accessor problem
As you can notice from the other thread, the issue is not that the entity row is not added to the cache (this is false), but that a second use of the association accessor will not "see" the new row - took me some time to understand the "slight" difference ;)
Maybe you could check that issue and suggest me a workaround...

Video not playing in Viewer during some assets, only audio until paused. once you hit the space bar or pause, the video shows up in viewer? same results when burnd to disc.
when dragging cursor through out timeline (track 1) video shows up in viewer fine too.
any advice on what could be wrong?
at first i was thinking this was a memory problem, i added another Gig of ram and the problem still exhists.

It's a kind of bug in DVDSP Simulator. If you build your project in your hard drive and test it with DVD Player all video will play fine.
I would like to tell you where exactly the problem is located, but it's just a Simulator problem.
Try building your project.

All songs are not adding to iTunes library

I recently organized the "My Music" folder with 7 subfolders containing approx. 4GBs each.
I also had a lot of dead links in iTunes and decided to do delete my current library and re-add everything.
It should be as simple as adding the "My Music" folder, *however all the songs were not added (most but not all).* What made me relize was when I added my iPod playlist and all songs could not be found. I searched the my music folder for "*.mp3" which returned approx 5200 files, but the iTunes library only has approx. 5000.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Any ideas on how to fix it?

What type of songs/videos are they?
Are any protected.
Open Quicktime and try to play the songs/videos. Do they play in Quicktime?

IPad html5 video not showing

For a proof of concept I have to make at work, I am required to make an APEX page rendering a video. The application must work on an Apple iPad.
I have uploaded the video under Shared Components -> Images and made an Apex page with the following html region:

</video>When loading the page in my browser (Chrome, as FireFox does not like h264 codecs), the video plays fine. When I open it on an iPad however, I only see a black box.
When I replace the source with a direct link to the movie (ie: http://mirrorblender.top-ix.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/big_buck_bunny_480p_h264.mov), everything works as it should.
Anyone have any idea as to why my workspace_images does not work as expected?

Apex version 4.0.2.00.07
iOS version 4.2
The codecs for the video are NOT the issue here as I have downloaded a video which is known to work on an iPad and directly uploaded it into apex. FYI, the video I'm using is [Big Buck Bunny|http://www.bigbuckbunny.org/index.php/download/]

So, I'm back with some more info. The fact that the direct link to the video was working got me thinking. The only difference I can think of is that our APEX instance runs on an Oracle 11g (11.1.0.6.0) through the EPG whereas the external server probably runs on an Apache + mod_plsql combination.
After some research in the Oracle docs I found this:

I also found a topic on the [Apple Discussion Forums | https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2590775?start=0&tstart=0] where someone appears to have the same problem as I do (although I don't get the error message itself and their page is served through PHP and not APEX).
Adding 1 and 1 leads me to believe I'll never get this working on our APEX instance, although it should work on an APEX instance running on an Apache + mod_plsql right?
So unless someone can give me a workaround/hack-ish kinda thing, the only other option would be to change our entire APEX instance (although that probably won't happen here).
Note: The main point of this post was to help anyone else running into this issue (although some advice would still be appreciated)!
//Edit: Just to confirm: Apparently we had an "old" 10g server still lying around here, running an APEX instance via Apache and lo and behold: my movie is happily streaming from apex to the iPad!!

I coverted my flash video files and installed in the Automatic Add to Itunes and some were added into a folder "Not Added"

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately our Exchange connector does seem to be processing emails from addresses which are NOT in the CMDB. I've checked to make sure that there IS a tick in the box to only process emails if the address IS in the CMDB, but it's still happening.
I've tried from a couple of different external email addresses and the email is processed, and then deleted, but sometimes a call is logged with a blank user, and sometimes it doesn't get logged at all but still the original email is deleted. It all seems
a little hit and miss really......what I'd like is for the emails from unknown users to be just left as they are, so that we can go in and deal with them appropriately. I'm assuming that this the default behaviour, so maybe it just needs to be reinstalled...unless
anyone else has any other ideas?

Make sure your Flash Player is up to date.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

in my Usage it says i have over 40 gb of movies when i only have about 9gb which i can see using spotlight search. i really hope the other amount is my missing videos! these are videos of my kids as babies.

Read this post and do the migration again, putting the library in a portable shape first if necessary.

I reported to Austin Police Department about my unlocked iphone was stolen last week. I'm ****** off that Serial number of my stolen iphone is on another Apple ID. IMEI still is not added into blacklist. How can I contact to Apple Inc??

I don't understand why Austin Police are not doing to detain theft when I showed an location with valid address according Find my iPhone on icloud.com. They said that it might be wrong location but few blocks were correct location. I stopped at Apple Retail Store to get another unlocked iphone. I explained an employee whether they would add both IMEI and serial number into blacklist to make useless for anyone. They said they have nothing to doing.
I'm shocked today that IMEI number is still not added into blacklist. Serialnumber of my stolen iphone is already on another Apple ID, after restoring it.
They let me down because unlocked iphone is EXPENSIVE, it costs $800 in Canada.
How can I deal with Apple Inc to add both serial number and IMEI into blacklist UNTIL i get my stolen iphone back

What blacklist? There is no universal blacklist in the US. They're working on it, but it does not exist as of this writing.
Apple can't do anything about it. They are not a law enforcement agency.
