Videos not loading correctly on first online call... desperate

Weird problem here, folks.  I have a web page created in Edge Animate that plays (4) videos simultaneously and that works fine using "Preview in Browser."  It will NOT load correctly the _first_ time it's called from the website.  It only partially loads – everything but the videos – the first time an uncached browser (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari) tries to load the page.  However, after trying to load the page that first time, if you immediately go to any other website, and then return to my site to load the page, the page will load correctly.  This is killing me.  I'm guessing this behavior will immediately be recognized by someone who can point me to a solution.
To view this behavior:
1)  Go to http://www.lightisrising.com
A partial page (without animation in the upper left, lower left, middle right, and lower right cells) will load.
2)  Go to a different website, such as Adobe.com
3)  Return to www.lightisrising.com, and the page will load and play the videos correctly.
Obviously, I need the page to load correctly the FIRST time someone visits it.
Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

Rob, it's great you were able to troubleshoot that issue.
With that in mind, where should I place the CSS "display:block" code?  I'm not seeing a video tag anywhere obvious.  Would it go in the EdgeHero JS file, or in the edgeherostyle.css file, or in the of the HTML file... or somewhere else? If it goes anywhere but in the of the HTML file, what would the exact syntax be?
The possibly relevant code in the edgehero-0.2-min.js file:
$("[class^='videolink'],[class*=' videolink']").each(function(){var activeVi=$(this).attr("class");$(this).replaceWith('<video height="auto" id="'$(this).attr('id')'" class="'activeVi'" style="'$(this).attr('style')'">'$(this).html()'</video>')});
$(".videolink_1").each(function(){$(".videolink_1").attr("src",videolink_1);});$(".videoli nk_1_mp4").each(function(){$(".videolink_1_mp4").append('<source src="'videolink_1_mp4'" type="video/mp4">');});$(".videolink_1_webm").each(function(){$(".videolink_1_webm").appe nd('<source src="'videolink_1_webm'" type="video/webm">');});$(".videolink_1_ogg").each(function(){$(".videolink_1_ogg").appen d('<source src="'videolink_1_ogg'" type="video/ogg">');});
BTW, I extended the .js file to allow for (4) simultaneously playing videos, whereas the original allowed for (3) videos to play.
Thanks much for your help.

  • Websites not loading correctly and flash videos not playing

When I visit sites like '''ign.com''' and '''joystiq.com''', they do not display correctly and Flash videos never load. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled twice to version 9.0.1 with no change. The second time I used Revo Uninstaller Pro to help make sure I got rid of all registry entries and residual files. Does anyone know if this is a recent bug? This started for me about noon yesterday...

  • Epson printers keep giving "media not loaded correctly" error message

When sending print jobs that consist of multiple copies to Epson printers from my dual 3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac with OS 10.5.8, the printer will frequently (more than half the time) grab a sheet of paper and spit it out with nothing on it, and then return the error message "Media out or not loaded correctly". I've had the exact same issue with their 1280, 2400 and 2880 printers. I've been struggling with and troubleshooting this issue for a couple of months now, and I believe I've narrowed it down to the operating system. It happens when printing from both Photoshop CS3 and CS4. It doesn't happen when I print from another computer running OS 10.4.11.

Interesting observation of the OSs. Have you tried Epson's suggestions for the 1280 printer and 2880 printer?
BTW: This was a constant issue with my Epson 3000. It happened mostly with paper larger than tabloid size, which is the reason for having a large format printer. There was no difference between versions of the OS. This was with the paper tray, so it may not be relevant to your printers. However, when I first got the printer it came with some "cleaning sheets" to run thru the printer when changing different types of paper to clean the rollers. It seemed to help... What worked best was to pre-load the first sheet of a multiple page document.

  • Is anyone having problems with Firefox today? My websites are not loading correctly

Firefox just isn't working right today. My home page (yahoo.com) will not load correctly, nor does a university site for a course that I am teaching online. I can do both of these if I use Internet Explorer.

    Hi ritawickham,
We've actually put together a troubleshooting section for [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/web-pages-dont-load website loading issues]. Have you had a chance to browse the documents there? If not, you should take a look. There is a lot of useful information.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • My adobe acrobat forms do not load correctly. I have uptodate version of that software.

I am an immigration attorney and have an online immigration program I use daily. Since the last upgrade of Firefox, the immigration forms (adobe acrobat) for my clients do not load correctly. I get a message that the forms may not display correctly with an option to open with a different viewer. The form opens correctly if I choose this option, but the form does not allow me to add and save information to the client's file so it is of no use to me. if this cannot be corrected I will stop using Firefox.

hello, firefox 19 has introduced its own integrated pdf viewer - if you want to switch back to the plugin you've used before to view pdfs just go to firefox options > applications & define the default action for the ''portable document format (pdf)''.

  • Spry submenu not loading correctly in IE

    Solved: check out this link
    http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/191/857297
    QUESTION:
Hi, I am new to spry and this is my first menu.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why the submenu will
    not load correctly in IE.
It is loading at the top of the page instead of under it's
parent tab in the horizontal menu.
It is working great under FF and Safari. *links removed
Any help would be great. I tried an IE statement, but
couldn't get it to work in the css. Probably user error.
I found out if I fiddled with the margin numbers of the
following css code that I could get the submenu to drop to it's
spot in IE, but then it would also drop in FF too. What a pain. My
menu is in a table if that makes any difference.
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul ul
    margin: -5% 0 0 95%;
    z-index: 1020;
I built a test spry menu from scratch and didn't change any
of the css information and the submenu would still load at the top.
Please, any help would be great. I really would hate to start
    another menu from scratch.

  • Flash videos not playing correctly

I posted some flash videos to some sites that get a
tremendous amount of website traffic. We are getting feedback that
the flash videos do not play consitently. Some people can see them
just fine, others cannot see the videos at all, for others -
particulary in Firefox, the video asks to download rather than
play. We created the videos using Flash 9 - importing the FLV file
and saving as an swf. We do not really see any type of pattern
    across browsers.
    Any advice?

  • Swf files do not load correctly anymore...

I maintain a site with many online  tutorials (www.edutorials.gr) that i record with various desktop recording software and export them in swf format. The last few months some of these tutorials do not load correctly, and freeze after few seconds.
These swf tutorials originally played ok (Few months ago)
The other swf tutorials continue to play ok
I used the same software for recording and exporting in swf format most of the tutorials for the site
I have tried to open the problematic swf files with various browsers and flash players (both on line and locally in my pc) and they always behave the same
Here is (http://edutorials.gr/drupal-admin-settings1) a swf file that freezes and
Here is (http://edutorials.gr/gimp-fire-smoke) another one that continues to behave ok
Any ideas why this happens? I don't have a clue

Maybe the .swf files have become corrupted. Have you tried replacing the files on the server? If you pull the file from the server and play it locally does it play correctly?

  • Websites not loading correctly/can't login to some

    Websites not loading correctly/can't login
I've never used it much but I decided to try using firefox full time this week.
I installed it and loaded flash, java and anything else basic that I was asked to.
But I haven't screwed around with the settings, other than the troubleshooting steps on this site.
I'm going to use this site as an exmaple: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?
The reason being it exhibts both of the problems below.
Problem 1 - Not loading correctly:
First here's a link to a screen shot of the problem.
    http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/963/firefoxscreenshots.png
The top half is the page loaded from IE, the bottom half is Firefox.
Now when the page finishes loading in Firefox it looks exactly the same as IE for a second.
Then it changes into the image I attached.
    Problem 2 - Can't log in
    http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=login
Now once again the login screen looks a bit different in IE and firefox.
once again it looks normal for a second in firefox.
I enter the correct username/password, and click sign in.
It comes back "you must complete both fields" and after a few seconds jumps back to the forum home page.
I had a problem registering and dealing with forums registering with mozilla.com
I would fill in the registration form hit submit and I'd just jump back to a blank form again.
I've been using IE to register and submit this question.
    Thanks,
    Kenny

  • VS2010 with Oracle 11g Release 2 giving Package did not load correctly

    Hey ,
I had a Oracle 11g Release 1 11.1.0 installed on my machine. I had a client and over that a installation for Visual Studio tools for VS2008 installed. So in the directory of 11.1.0 I had two folders of Client 1 and Client2 . I was able to use the tools in VS very well and everything was perfect.
Recently my company has decided to shift to VS2010. Now when I installed Oracle Release 2 11.2 client, it worked perfect ( tested using toad ). But when I install the tools ODTwithODAC112012, it has an issue that when I fire up VS2010 and try to add connection, it gives an error popup saying : " The 'Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET' package did not load correctly. It asks me load VS in log mode and see the Activity log. The Activity Log gives the following entry :
<errorinfo>Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.VsDevTools, Version=4.112.1.2, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.</errorinfo>
    </entry>
The assembly Oracle.VsDevTools is loaded in GAC which I've checked . So, questions in my mind :
    a. Can we have both 11.1 and 11.2 in the same machine, is that the issue?
    b. Any solution to solve this issue. Both the setup's go smoothly without any errors. Also I am able to connect to oracle very easily using toad.
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Sumit

You'll probably have better luck posting this over in the ODT forum, but be sure to check the Package Load Failure sticky at the top first..
Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio
Having multple versions of ODP installed at once generally isnt a problem but I haven't tried a situation where I've tried to have multiple ODT's at once.

  • Youtube videos not loading.

Youtube videos not loading in WiFi, there is dots circling coming forever. BTW how long do I have to charge I've kept for 4 hours and it is still charging.

here are the basic workaround instructions to get video streaming working over Wi-Fi:
    1. Go to Menu->Settings->Configuration->Personal Settings->Options->Add new->Web->Back->Options->Activate
    2. Repeat step 1. for Streaming and Access point
    3. Restart phone
    4. Go to Settings->Configuration->Default config. settings and select Personal config.
    5. Settings->Connectivity->WLAN First should be also checked.

  • Embedded video not loading?

I seem to be having a problem with embedded video not loading.
For example:  In Youtube if a video is embedded in a larger screen (example: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY30JRSgfhYXA6i6xX1erWg) it will not load but if I load the video in its own page (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=bLT0z60vBl4) it will work perfectly fine.
The issue comes when there are videos that don't have the option to load in a full screen (example: http://www.cbc.ca/thenational/watch/).
I have the latest version, have hardware acceleration unchecked, this happens with all browsers (IE, FF, Chrome), have deleted cookies... what else can I do?

this happens with all browsers (IE, FF, Chrome)
Then it HAS to be something outside of Flash Player and the browsers, because:
IE usues a proprietary plug-in - ActiveX, which is ONLY for IE amd functions independently of the others
Firefox uses the standard plug-in, which neither IE nor Chrome use, unless you specifically disable Chrome's proprietary plug-in
Chrome uses its own proprietary plug-in called "PepperFlash" which not only functions independently of the other two, it's a different format (PPAPI vs NPAPI)
The odds that all three different plug-ins (in two different formats, no less) have the exact same problem with one situation (viewing embedded YouTube video in another page)... are astronomical.

  • Patches not loading correctly..

If anybody could help me solve this that would really help.
For some reason my midi patches are not loading correctly when I open a file. In order for the right patches to play, I have to click on the specific tracks. After that , it's fine. What I usuallyu do is, I select the very first midi track and then hit the down arrow button and run through all the tracks (Not the audio tracks, they load fine). I need to somehow lock the patches!? What do I need to do? Thanks in advance.

wolfi228, have a similar issue. sometimes use the internal DLS Midi Synth, and the patches won't stay put.
clicking on any given track solves the prob. i think the patches have to be initialized each time. i generally put patch changes in at the region start as a matter of course.

  • Sites do not load correctly

I'm having a problem where internet sites are not loading correctly. They will sometimes not show background images, or the formatting of the pages do not load right. They load all links at the left side of the page, and pictures too. I only have problems with this on my work computer, and not my home one. If I load a site, the first or second try it may not load right. I close the browser, delete the cookies and cache, and SOMETIMES it will load the website correctly. This happens for Yahoo.com, Ebay, Wal-Mart and other sites as well.
I have also deleted Mozilla Firefox from my computer, and deleted all memorized info on my computer for it. That has also not helped.
== URL of affected sites ==

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Clearing_the_cache and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Cookies
You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the [[Safe mode]] start window - See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_preferences
You can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems
See [[Basic Troubleshooting|#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • I don't believe firefox is the issue but for some reason pictures and certain websites will not load correctly. Why?

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/810160]''
This just started happening a few days ago. When I go to facebook the pictures are distorted and nearly impossible to discern who is in them. I also go to many different websites that do not load correctly. Not sure if it's java, adobe, or something else but it makes browsing the internet not fun. HELP!

I have the same problem. It seems to be due to FireFox 4.0 being unable to load certain embedded content, which Firefox 3 was able to load properly.
I've been having problems loading any website that includes embedded content from worldnow.com, for example.
