Videos not opening

The Videos app that comes with the iPad just stopped working. When I click on it, it just opens to a black screen. I tried powering down the iPad and restarting, I tried removing the videos and re-syncing them. Nothing has worked.
It doesn't freeze the iPad. I can still move to other programs. Just that the Videos app opens to a black screen. Anyone of you have any suggestions?

No promises but a system Reset cures many ills and takes but a minute to perform:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A Reset does NOT delete apps, photos, movies, music or any other data. A Reset does NOT delete any settings for email, network access, etc.
Also, you might wish to download the 4.2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 170.

Tungsten E2 Photo & video not opening

I just got this palm and the Photos and Videos application won't open. It says "the application cannot be launched because it because missing localization information". I have read other post about adding files to the palm. I don't know how to do this either.

Is this is a brand new device?
Are you trying to add photos and videos through quick install?

There are links on the page to the user guide, troubleshooting, how to's, downloads, etc.
Look on page 173 of the userguide for instructions regarding photos and videos.
On page 65 starts the section on synchronizing info. to your handheld.
If the application is not opening on the Handheld, you may need to hard reset the E2 to get it back to the factory defaults.
Click on the following link for the hard rest procedure. The hard reset will erase all data on the device.

Video not opening on Mac's webpages

Hi all,
None of the Apple videos will open from the web page. These include tutorials, and commercials that Apple has made, etc. I guess it's a Quicktime problem, but i don't know why this is happening. Quicktime is up to date. Any help is appreciated.

What browser? They play fine for me in Safari 3.1.1. Check Safari Preferences > Security tab and make sure plug-ins are enabled.

What version of Adobe Reader you have? My actual problem is when my version of Adobe Reader was 6.1, my Form was running perfectly, but when I upgrade my Adobe Reader version to 8.1, the field of the Form are blank. Please, check this point, try to execute your form on a System with a Adobe Reader with version 6.1. If you see something strange, please, let me know.

YouTube videos not opening

For the past few days, i ve got trouble with playing videos on YouTube. The error msg "Sorry, this file can't be opened on ur phone" appears and reappears. The videos, i have watched 2 days before also weirdly behave like this. The problem exist on all the browsers (IE, UC, SURFY) and almost YouTube apps that i tried. Other video streaming websites like vube.com are working fine. Now don't ask me to restart, dismantle and all, i ve tried them and also don't ask me to hard reset.

Does this happen whether you're using the mobile or desktop version of the YouTube website? For the built in Internet Explorer, you can go to Settings > Applications > Internet Explorer > web preference to check. For the other mobile browsers, you can check the apps' settings. You tube videos not opening Safari

After installing Chrome 18 yesterday, videos in you-tube in Safari did not play. I removed the NP-PP-DIR-Shockwave plugin, and now at least some videos play.I do not have any extensions in Safari. I can watch youtube videos in Chrome which I had to install because the TV site that I was using demanded Adobe Flash and would not play in Safari.
Any help would be appreciated

O.K., I have managed to fix the problem thanks to another poster at these discussions:
- Safari/Preferences/Privacy/'Remove all website data' - I only removed the You-tube - cache-cookies - Local storage. That only took about 4 hours.

New iPhone videos not opening

I was just checking out the site for the new iPhone and find that everytime I try to open one of the videos that describe the new features, I get the QT logo with a ? in the middle. I checked software updates and it says I'm fine (v 7.4.5). Has anyone else encountered this?

This was never answered, but the problem went away, so I assume one of the updates took care of it.

i am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully, it just keeps my mac (old 1.6Ghz 2.5 GB sdram G5 still good for most stuff i need) spinning for ever but i can see compression type H.264 selected and the other setting but i can not select any other options as it still thinking but never opens! why is this happening how do i get round it?
my work flow is: 300 images shot on a 5d mark II medium jpegs opened in Light Room cropped to 16:9 then exported and opened in quick time i can save a .mov H264 giving me files sizes of 14 mb for a 16 second time lapse, mp4 9 mb. the only way i can get large files is saving as a self contained movie then i get 300mb files.
i need to save my files 1920 x 1080 photo jpeg codec as i want HD quality.
i am sure there is a simple way round this?

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
How large is your hard drive and how much hard drive space do you have left?

I am running OSX 10.8.2 with Safari 6.0.2. Many videos will not open on Safari but open on Chrome. I have enabled javascript in Safari Preferences. I get a javascript void message when copying the link of the non-working videos. In one discussion about javascript problems in Mountain Lion a Java Preferences Ap in Utilities was used to fix the problem. I do not have a Java Preferences Ap in Applications\Utilities. I am stuck.

I am having a similar issue, except mine is with a military site. The military sites use java althroughout for downloading files/image. The problem is that it never gives me the notice to enable java for these sites.
I would like to have the ability to manually tell safari to allow java on a particular site so this isn't an issue.
This would solve my issue and allow a way to activate java on sites that don't give you the option to allow it.

I subscribe to an Earthlink package of telephone and ISP through DSL in Dallas, Texas. To avoid the congestion (time outs and files not found) of the virtual "cloud" servers, as a workaround I connect to the Internet through dial-up on each session on my pc. There is only one pc or computer on my local network. I downloaded Firefox 4 RC and it failed (would not open video files on the Internet), so I removed the Firefox 4 RC program from my pc, and then I downloaded and installed Firefox 3.6.16, which works fine.
My operating system is Windows XP Pro.

Try disabling hardware acceleration. Many visual bugs can be attributed to issues with graphics drivers.
(Firefox -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> [ ] Use hardware acceleration when available)

You may also need to install QuickTime Player 7.6.6 to open the files.
