Videos not organizing AirPlay shows correctly

Hello,
I have been using Videos on my iPad to watch shows/movies from my iMac on my home network streamed via AirPlay. The issue I am having is that I cannot seem to figure out how to get Videos to organize seasons of shows properly. When I select the same shows on my Apple TV 2, I am able to select the shows based on their names and then season. In Videos, for some reason, only the season is displayed. It is a confusing guessing game when the show title is not displayed and you have 5 different selections that say "Season 1", etc, without note made to what show it is from. Is there any way to make Videos sort the shows by their title and their season?

It seems the new ios is using a different tag to sort the shows. The problem I had was similar to yours - all the shows I currently had were all from disks I had ripped myself using handbrake, and not from the itunes store.
I compared the tags (in the get info menu option) of the shows I'd ripped against the tags in store bought shows, and added info to the tags under the sorting tab, specifically the sort show field. I think that's the one that makes the difference, although I added a bunch more of them, so I'm not sure. Delete the old version from your phone, sync the new version to the phone (or you can change the tags right on the phone) and the sorting is fixed!

IPod Touch not reading TV Show correctly

I have the first 4 seasons of The Office and the first 6 of Family Guy, but i did not purchase them off of iTunes. I got them in fiine, but when put on my iPod Touch 2G 8GB, it does not tell me the season when i hit video. It says the show name, and then in parentheses the amount of episodes. I was wondering if there's a way to make it shpw up to say which season it is b/c when i open it up, underneath the episode name, it then says season _, episode_.

What is shown depends on what values are put in the Show, *Season Number* and *Episode Number* boxes in the "Get Info" dialog's Video tab. *Episode ID* may(?) affect sorting and is usually on the lines of "s01e02" to indicate Series 1, Episode 2. When you purchase a file some of these fields may not be filled in. Giving different seasons of a show different Show field entries would let iTunes treat the seasons as separate shows if that was what you actually wanted.

Videos not organized the way I want (I think)

I FINALLY downloaded videos to my iPod, however they are not being organized the way I want. Let me explain.
I have 32 videos purchased from iTunes, various artists, and only 1 video per artist. With audio files for artists with 1 to 3 songs I group them all into one artist called "VARIOUS" and the album is "iTunes". I delete all other information pertaining to the artist.
I applied this same reasoning to the videos, I also numbered them 1-32 in order that I bought them. However when I go to the videos on my iPod (when it's NOT connected to my computer) all the videos are in Alphabetical order of the artist, which I THOUGHT I deleted. So when I play them they play in alphabetical order on my iPod when it's NOT connected to my computer. When I play them through my iPod connected to my computer they play in the order I organized.
Is there something I missed? Is there a shuffle option for videos that I can't seem to find?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
60GB iPod w/Video Windows XP

I checked the shuffle option and it does not work on videos, only Songs and Albums. Thinking it might be an iTunes 7.3 thing I removed that version and reinstalled the 7.2 version - same results.
I've tried numerous things and still have the same result:
With the iPod plugged into the computer, the videos are in the numerical order I placed them, and I can play them in that order in iTunes.
With the iPod on its own, the videos are in Alphabetical order and play that way all the time everytime.
UPDATE:
For some reason I NOW have an iTunes Videos playlist in Videos>Video Playlists and they are in the order I placed them.

Desk top software v7 does not update to show correct version of playbook os

Password problems caused the playbook the reset, I had backed up the playbook.
I updated the playbook to os2 and when I connect to desk top v7 it shows that I do not have os2 on the playbook
and wants to update it. The udate always gets an error at bundle 57 of 70. I had backed up the playbook but am
unable to restore because the desktop still thinks I have os1 on the playbook.

Videos not seeking or showing total t

Weird problem, and judging by a quick Google search, I'm not the only one having the problem.
So, I'm using Linux, and using mencoder (a very popular encoding program), I can encode the videos properly, and they play on my computer and my Zen. Then, I use libmtp (Linux MTP implementation) and mtpfs (MTP filesystem emulation) to copy the video over to the player. The video plays fine, except I cannot rewind or fast forward, and I can't see the total time of the movie. The strange thing is, if I load the same video onto the SD card, and then play it, everything works fine.
I'm encoding the videos as 320x240 AVI XviD. I've tried rebuilding the AVI index (with -forceidx), but that does not help. Music seeks normally. I'm guessing that this is either a bug with libmtp, or with the Zen player. Does anyone have any ideas, or have you gotten the videos to work properly if you load them with Linux? Maybe there is a workaround?

I'd like to also add, I compared the byte sizes and actual bytes on the videos on my computer and the Zen, and they were the same. Basically, I mean that the EXACT same information of the video was on my computer and the Zen, so I know that the videos were copied properly and entirely.

The site you downloaded this NewVideoPlayerSetup.exe from was a scam as it uses the inexperience of users and popularity of Mozilla and the Firefox browser to trick people into installing stuff like this.
Next time if you are uncertain you should ask as somebody will then tell you if it is legitimate or not for example.

MiniDV Video in Affert Effects not showing correct ratio.

I'd like to know how to edit minidv video in its aspect ratio in After Effects. Video is 720 by 480 and 16 by 9 (non-square pixels). When I import the video, it's stretched too tall (set to square pixels I believe). No mater how many times I change the composition ration to widescreen, it still does not show correctly.
I seem to do fine in Premiere. It automatically sets the aspect ratio for minidv video. But I can't get After Effects to do it. I don't want to spend time creating something only for it to be squished in Premiere later.
So how to do create a composition that's 16 x 9 using non-square pixels 720 by 480 that can be edited into miniDV video in adobe premiere?

If you properly interpret your footage as widescreen (AE may guess incorrectly here) and put it in any square pixel comp it will not look distorted but it may or may not fill the frame. It will only fill the frame if the frame size is the square pixel equivalent size of your widescreen footage. This applies to all non square pixel aspect ratio footage.
If you interpret your footage as widescreen and put it in the same format (NTSC, PAL HDV) widescreen comp it will also fill the frame. There may be some black pixels on the left and right side because almost all cameras don't put live pixels in every column or even every row of the frame, but the footage will fill the frame. The caveat is that this footage will look distorted unless you activate pixel aspect correction preview in the Comp window because computer displays are always square pixels. You have to fool the display by selecting this option.
When you render your widescreen comp, if you're using any of the standard DV codecs or a codec like Quicktime Animation or JPG, there is no place in this codec for an aspect ratio tag that will tell apps like Premiere or FCP or Avid that this footage is supposed to be widescreen. Once you import the footage to another app you'll have to check and make sure that the footage is interpreted as widescreen there too.
I hope this helps. What ever you do, do not use the Fit to Frame option to force footage into a comp frame. If you insist on using Fit to Frame then check the X and Y scale values after you do and make sure they are identical. If they are not, you've distorted your footage at that point and it will be difficult or impossible to fix it later.

Video not showing up on Firefox (PCs)

Would someone be so kind as to look at this page and see if you can see a reason why the video does not show up on any of the Mozilla browsers on a PC only.
Weird thing is that it does work in IE on a PC. This was created in iWeb 08. I am about to go live with this website and am testing it on my .Mac.

I have another website that was created with iWeb 1 which contains a video and that one shows up fine in the Mozilla browsers on a PC.

That your page works correctly in many different browsers and OS's proves the page code is correct.
Something is wrong in your configuration or settings in your Mozilla browser on the PC. As a further PC browser test try viewing using the Windows version of Safari. If the PC Safari test passes then the Mozilla browser settings are the cause.
Very clever work with your QuickTime file. Lots of work went into it (I can tell). The kids have a great instructor.

Vendor name not showing correctly in TDS GL line item display fbl3n

Hi Gurus,
I am facing an issue in regards to TDS. As you know that normally we make a cheque payment to a vendor, we issue one cheque for one vendor.
But my client follows a slightly different practice. Suppose they have to pay an amount of 30000 to three vendor A B C equally 10000 each. They right a self cheque to the SBI bank and also send them the list of these 3 vendors who are also having their account in the same bank. They instruct the bank to take money from their account and then credit in the respective vendors account.
Now the transaction goes like this:
Vendor A   10000
Vendor B    10000
Vendor C   10000
    To Bank                 29700
    To TDS on A              100
    To TDS on B              100
    To TDS on C              100
Now when the user will go to FBL3N and check the TDS GL 100020196 and see the line items it should show like as per the client:
Vendor A       100
Vendor B       100
Vendor C       100
But it shows the below result:
Vendor A   100
Vendor A   100   ( should be vendor B)
Vendor A   100   (should be vendor C)
I believe that is the standard behavior of the system to show the vendor line. They do not want to change the way of their posting and their concern is if it shows like the same at the time of return filing how will know vendor wise tds.
Now either I need to resolve this situation in FBL3N or give them a report which should give them Vendor wise TDS information for the TDS filing.
J1INMIS report is there but it shows only the TDS and the vendor number, it does not give the vendor name. I either want a solution of this issue in FBL3N or a report which shows vendor wise TDS with vendor number and name. Please let me know if there is a solution to this issue.
Kindly consider this very urgent. I am attaching the relevant screenshots.

Unfortunately there is no report in SAP other than J1INMIS which caters to Indian reporting requirements. You can think of enhancing the same.
Also check your enhancement for FBL3N as to why it is not working as it should with the help of your ABAP Colleagues. It is not displaying the name correctly.

Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.

Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

(earlier nanos have lower max resolution limits)
So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back.

Name of the Month not showing correctly in calendar

I m facing a strange problem with the calendar, on the home screen calendar icon date & day is showing correct but when i view the full month calendar then its not showing the right month --- it is showing all the days of the March 1st to 31st correct but on the TOP in place of month it is showing February 2008 instead of March 2008. How can Feb has 31 days. I hv checked all the other settings.

FLV videos not playing correctly in Captivate 6

I am running into an issue where my FLV video is not playing correctly when my Captivate project is exported out and saved to the web. The FLV video is about 20 mins long (~100 MB) and it is being streamed from Kaltura. The FLV video is inputted into the Captivate project as a multi-slide synchronized video across 27 slides. The slides themselves are imported from Powerpoint. The problem that we are running into is that the Captivate project and the FLV video play correctly when viewed with decent bandwidth, but they do not appear to play correctly for users with slower bandwidth. However, if a user views the videos independently of Captivate, they can view the videos correctly, even at slower bandwidth. I have tried hosting the Captivate files on several different webservers, including an LMS. But the issue continues and I'm searching for any type of answers that might help.

Your welcome, if that is the case, then can you try and insert the MultiSlide Video, you can insert the streaming video URL.
You can add the server to you computer as network Drive and then browser to that location, once you do that, the options to add the Video as Streaming can be chose and your Vidoe would remain insync with main playbar, users can play and pause content that way.
See if this can be implemented at your end.

Fonts details not showing correctly in Acrobat XI

Hi,
Previous i used Acrobat 8, there is no issues when i select character to check font name, but now i upgrade the Acrobat to XI, there is some issues when check fonts, its not showing its accurate Font name like
In Acrobat 8, Its showing correctly "MyriadPro-Light". I checked in Enfocus Pitstop Professional also.
But in Acrobat XI, it's showing as "MyriadPro" only. Its really critical issue in my working area. So please anybody try solve this issue.

Is this only with one file and if so can you share it? I can't reproduce what you're describing; the Acrobat XI document properties dialog reports the Postscript name of each font just as it always has done. Here's a demo in Acrobat XI Pro:
