Videos not playing as expected. Help!!!

Hoping you can help
I installed the latest version of Flash Player (Version 15.0.0.152) and since I have, any interaction with websites that require this add-on are now not acting as expected
For example, if I play a video in You Tube, the following occurs
The Adobe icon appears on my toolbar,
A window opens in the top left hand corner of my screen and I am unable to close it as there is no ability to do so
In addition, the video also opens in a new window. If for any reason, I pause the video I am unable to play again as the screen video player box goes white
The flash player is also continually crashing
I have tried uninstalling, cleaning my registry and then reinstalling and I am getting the same issue time and time again. My web browser is Firefox (which is updated to the latest version) and I am using a Windows 7 platform
Any ideas of what this issue is and how I can resolve it as its really annoying.

Yeah, this is very strange. Particularly the way that we're popping the separate window. That might make sense if the video was full-screen, but this is strange.
If you haven't done so already, please reboot. It may just be that something is wonky after the upgrade -- we've updated all the components on disk, but some old ones are still resident in memory and unhappy, something like that. Rebooting will eliminate a number of variables.
If that doesn't work, I'd like you to uninstall and re-install, but in between, I want to make sure that Flash Player is actually removed.
Follow the directions here to uninstall:
Uninstall Flash Player | Windows
Once the uninstallation is complete, go back to this page on YouTube and play a video. Do you get the same behavior and pop-out Flash Player process? Some malware authors repackage Flash Player and attempt to trick people into installing them. If Flash Player still appears to be present, we should dig further into that possibility. If not, let's move on to re-installing.

If you're still running into the problem after installing, please check to make sure you have the latest Firefox version. You can do this by clicking the menu icon in the upper right (aka the sandwich), then click the question mark at the bottom of the menu and choose About Firefox. If an update is available, it should show it to you. Please confirm the Firefox version you're using.

Videos not playing in itunes HELP

So I downgraded my iTunes 11 to 10.6 since I hate the new interface. But I've come with two roadblocks.
1) videos that I've purchased OR i want to preview before purchase will not play. they are just black screens and the timer does not move, there is no audio, no anything. when i re upgrade to 11, everything is fine. but i want my 10.6 back.
2) EVERY TIME i try to play a video, regardless of what video in my iTunes, it prompts me to authorize my computer and I enter my information, but it prompts me every single time, followed by the message that 1 out of the 5 computers you can authorize is authorized.

Never mind. I found iTunes 6.05 in the Downloads section of the Apple page. Now I'm back, thank God.

DVDSP Help - Video not playing in Viewer during some assets, only audio...

Video not playing in Viewer during some assets, only audio until paused. once you hit the space bar or pause, the video shows up in viewer? same results when burnd to disc.
when dragging cursor through out timeline (track 1) video shows up in viewer fine too.
any advice on what could be wrong?
at first i was thinking this was a memory problem, i added another Gig of ram and the problem still exhists.

Hi Crazy Dan:
It's a kind of bug in DVDSP Simulator. If you build your project in your hard drive and test it with DVD Player all video will play fine.
I would like to tell you where exactly the problem is located, but it's just a Simulator problem.
Try building your project.

WWhen using ipad,why do videos not play on Google? Audio still plays. I have reset the Google app and it will be ok for short time but then reverts back to not playing videos.

I understand that an application you downloaded from the App Store, Google, is not functioning as you would expect. In this situation, I would recommend following the troubleshooting steps outlined in the attached article.

Yahoo video and other video not playing

I am not getting any error and not running on the same side. My problem is showing video on Tranmitter end.
Using above code i can create player and a black screen is showing, i am ubable to find, why video is not played in screen.

Embedded MP4 videos not playing in iOS Safari

Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with embedded MP4 videos (e.g. YouTube videos) not playing correctly in Safari. When I try to play one, I get one of two problems:
1. On my (first gen) iPad, Safari usually crashes.
2. On my iPhone 4, videos will load but only play audio, not video, though when I tap on the screen the "play" and "pause" symbols appear.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Or know how to fix it?

Ok, I fixed it. Go to some embedded Flash video, click to run and then right click to get Global Settings for Flash. Go into Storage and make sure you aren't blocking any data from being stored on your computer. At the very least choose the "ask me" setting. (For good measure I also went into Advanced and clicked to Delete All Data associated with Flash. But when I restored Block for data storage the videos stopped working, so that seems to be the answer.) I'd be interested to hear if this works for others.

I took four video clips while on a trip this week. Two are oriented the right way (playing wide on the device and imported correctly). The other two are Tall and not oriented right. Orientation is 90 degrees to the right. I don't know why this is happening on occasions. Even some pictures I took did the same **** thing. It's weird. And I can't figure it out. The camera is held the way I want the pictures and videos to be recorded and played but something internal is turning these videos and pictures 90 degrees clockwise.

sharankumar1, which phone model do you use? Nokia phones are a bit picky about the file content, the codec. If you tell me your model, I tell you the available codecs. In the meantime, you have to convert your videos …

U310 Touch - Videos not playing after 8.1 Update

Hello,
I have updated from Windows 8 to 8.1 and updated all my drivers on my U310 Touch.
However, I seem to have a problem with web based videos not playing videos on the internet.
This seems to happen on every kind of web browser, including IE, Firefox, Chrome, and even Steam.
If anybody knows how to fix this problem, that'll be great.

Since the upgrade to 8.1.1 my iPhone 6 stopped recognising the fingers I had stored. I've deleted and addrd them again (which went as norma) and it still has problems recognising them. Seems very intermittent now, whereas before this upgrade was very reliable.

That may be a problem with the VLC plugin. VLC has never worked for me properly on the occasions that I've tried it on Windows and Linux, so I have stop using it. There are usually other plugins or media players available that work better.
What kind of media files are that?
For WMP files you can install the new Windows Media Player plugin you can also try RealPlayer and QuickTime if it is about media that those programs can handle to see if that works better.

Why do my Facebook videos not play in iPad Air(safari browser) but same video play nicely on iPhone 4(safari browser). It asks me to download flash player to play on iPad but plays fine on iPhone without giving any prompt to download flash player.

Itunes videos will not play on Itouch-- HELP!! (please)

I recently purchased an Itouch, (& I love it!!-for the most part) I just have one issue... none of the videos I purchased in the Itunes store will play on it! They will transfer without issue, but when I try to play it on my Itouch I get this message: "This movie could not be played". So my tv shows, music videos, AND movies will not play! (note: all were purchased/ downloaded from the itunes store). [They will play on my old Ipod mini tho...)
I have spent two days perusing Apple support and all over the internet looking for a fix... nothing is working. I have the latest edition of itunes and everything. I have reset my Itouch, taken everything off and put it back on. I have un-installed and re-installed itunes... I have also done all of the trouble shooting steps... like the downloading of the sample video...
One message board told me that I could go to Advanced> Create Iphone or Itouch version & that should do the trick... nope. It's not even an option for me... and since I don't have QuickTime PRO it won't let me convert and export my videos either.
I am rather distressed about this, so I really hope you can help me.

I don't understand what your iPod model has to do with your version of iTunes...
... this option is in the iTunes' Advanced menu... if you have the latest version of iTunes installed, it would be right there... only grayed out if you don't have a video file selected.
