Hi, I recently sold my MacBook pro and I'm going to buy a MacBook air, but in the meantime I'm
Using my wife's hp laptop. I added a movie and a couple tv shows and they are working fine on the computer, they are in the right format. Hone sharing is on, on both the pc and the iPhone. The videos show up fine on my apple tv2 but when I navigate to my shared folder on the iPhone and go to the videos section they are not there, if I go to playlists and hit recently added I can see them, but now I can not even see them there, any ideas what is wrong? On my Mac I never had this happen

I seem to have the same problem. Not all my TV shows are appearing in my iphone 4 although they are visible in the playlist "recently added". Anyone an idea?

What is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If you have chosen selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres - if Pulp Fiction is available under the Albums section to be selected as an Album to be transferred to your iPhone, is it selected?
If so, when you select Albums via the iPod on your iPhone, the album is not available there to select?
You can always create an iTunes playlist with these songs placing the songs in your preferred order.

Import iPhoto Flip video - not showing.

Running iMovie 09. iPhoto '11 (9.1.5). Imported video from Flip into iPhoto. Video not showing in iMovie. Is this a format issue? Is there a workaround?

Make sure that if the Flip came with a disk or software to be installed, that you run the installer. I've got a first gen. Flip mino that requires something called a 'codec' to be installed before the video clips can playback. In my case it's a piece of software from a company called 3ivx.

ICloud videos not showing on iPad

On my iPad, I can't see all of the TV shows in my cloud (app:Videos). It looks like I can only see the ones that were downloaded on a devise, not the ones downloaded via iTunes on my PC. I've checked the iPad's settings under iTunes & App Store for Show All Videos, and iTunes Match and they are green. I've also checked under Videos and Show All Videos is green there too. The kicker: my iPhone is showing all of my clouded TV Shows... Is there a setting I'm missing on my iPad?

Doesn't sound like you missed anything. Assuming your iPad is signed into the Apple ID used to purchase the TV shows they should appear as iTunes in the Cloud videos on your iPad. You might try toggling Off, then back On under Show All in Settings>iTunes & App Store to see if that would do any good. You also could try force closing the videos app (double-tap the home button, locate Videos in the list, swipe up on the image above the app icon to close it, tap the home button again).

Sound is fine but video not showing up - what gives?

I have the most recent version of iTunes + Quicktime, and thus far, I've had no trouble with iTunes or music purchases from the iTunes store.
Recently, I purchased Season 1 of the TV show "The Tudors" from the iTunes store. When I play an episode, the sound is crystal clear, but the video doesn't show up -- it shows a black screen that flashes from purple to green to black.
What's going on? How can I get the video to show?

I have the same problem.
I purchased the first season of the original Star Trek TV show and the first season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I have the latest downloads for iTunes and Quicktime. I tried everything in the article you linked to. Nothing works. I can play the shows on my ipod, but not in itunes. I reported the problem via the support link in the iTunes store, but no response. I'm not happy.

Some videos not showing up on AppleTV from iMac's iTunes library

Having a strange problem. Not sure if it is an iTunes problem or an AppleTV problem but I will try here first.
I have several videos in my library, some of which are digitized home videos I edited/rendered, others are AppleTV converted DVD's I own. For some reason, many of them are not showing up on my AppleTV when I go into "Computers" off the main menu and select my iMac with the iTunes library of them. Some show up, but more and more do not. They are all properly formatted and done so using Compressor settings for AppleTV. No idea why some are not showing up.
If you look on the iMac with the library on it, they all show up fine. And if I try and play the video on my iMac but tell it to use AirPlay to play the video on the AppleTV, it plays just fine on the TV/AppleTV. I do have Home Sharing turned on for ALL my media and I also use iTunes Match service.
When I try and use my iPad to access videos under the "shared" option and select my iMac's iTunes library, I get the same incomplete list. So I am thinking it's the iTunes library that's sending out an incomplete list for some reason. No idea why.
I have tried drag-and-dropping the videos into the iTunes library as well as using the "Add to library" menu command, neither makes a difference.
Any suggestions?

Also - i had a similar issue - lots of movies in itunes - not showing up as selectable on apple tv - i found that you have to go to "list" in itunes and select any movies i wanted to be selectable when i switched to the apple tv device - can someone please create a word for - "my software changes and somehow i'm an idiot for not knowing what magic the programmers are throwing down" - this too will change in the future - just need the happy customer service types to maintain a voice with the programmers and bottom line guys and gals.

Videos not showing on iPad using Muse CC

I have created a website that uses two different videos, they work fine on the desktop version but do not show up on the Tablet version. I'm testing on an iPad but pretty sure it will be the same result for other tablets. They will also have to work on the smartphone version. Any suggestions? Help appreciated, this is rather urgent as the website must launch in the next day.

Photosmart C310: WiFi connected, but not showing up in network via Mac or iPhone

I am using a HP Photosmart Premium C310. It is connected to WiFi, but does not show up on Mac or iPhone via Wifi:
- iPhone Airprint does not find the printer (select printer)
- Mac "add printer" does not find the printer
- newest HP Setup Application (HP_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.13.14, Dec 2011) finds printer only as long as connected via USB, reconfigures WiFi settings, but can not re-find the printer when USB cable is taken off
- I can send "ping" to the printer using the IP address shown in touchscreen info panel so it is online in WiFi
- I tried to reset factory settings for settings + network settings, no change...
Is that a defect or any idea how to fix the problem?

Per your description, i believe the issue may being caused by your router compatibility with Apple Bonjour, which require multicasting support in order to operate propertly.
In order to verify, try to temporary create an ad hoc connection between your iPhone and the printer and check for any change:
Step One : Restore the network defaults on the HP All-in-One
On the product control panel, touch the Setup icon ( ). The Setup menu displays.
Touch Wireless .
Touch and then slide your finger down on the display to select Restore Network Defaults .
When asked 'Are you sure? ' touch Yes .
After the network defaults restore, touch Wireless Connection , and then touch On .
The message 'Wireless Radio is now on ' should briefly display on the control panel and the Wireless light ( ) on the HP product should start to blink. The HP product is now openly broadcasting the ad hoc wireless network.
Step Two: Create an ad hoc wireless network connection between the HP All-in-One and the Apple device
On your Apple device, tap the Settings icon ( ).
Tap Wi-Fi .
Under Choose a network , find the name that starts with HPC310 , and then tap it. A checkmark should display to the left of the name.
Wait three minutes to make sure that the ad hoc connection is established and try printing from the iPhone by taping the Action icon ( ) and then tapping Print.
If you were able to print through the direct printer, it means the router more likely cause the problems..
Please clarify your router brand, model and the router firmware version if available.

Photos/Videos not showing up in iTunes

Hi-
Just got a 30 GB video iPod. The iPod shows up in iTunes and I was able to download a video from the store and transfer/play it from my iPod. I also was able to bring some photos in and they are there as well. The photos, however, do not show up in iTunes even though in the lower right corner it says "7 photos". Is this correct? If so, how does one delete photos from the iPod?
Also, I had a small video clip that I compressed in QT Pro to MPEG4 and dragged it into iTunes. It shows the + sign but never makes it into iTunes or the iPod for that matter.
Any thoughts?

Thank you Btabz. Is there anyway out of purchasing iphoto4? Can't I just use my folders? If I had a pc, i don't think I would need a specific program like iphoto4. do you know of any other applications/ ways to transfer photos that might help?
Yes, I thought that iTunes would just sync with the folder. I had about 1300 pictures, and for some reason or another I had renamed about 20 of them, and they're the only ones that transfered to my ipod. By "renamed," I mean that I changed the Digital Camera's label of something such as "Fxl0004_21" to "Sunset picture."
I know that sounds strange, but that's what happened. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Most recently uploaded iphoto videos not showing up in imovie

when i try to use iphoto videos in my imovie project, the most recently uploaded videos do not show up.
this has happened to me before, and i got around the issue by importing the original video files (through finder) into imovie. the clips that weren't showing up eventually did show up, long after i needed them.
so, here i am again, trying to edit recently uploaded clips that aren't showing up. i tried closing iphoto and imovie, then opening them again. no luck. has anyone else had this probleml? why won't the most recently uploaded videos show up for days after they've been uploaded? i could import the files through finder, like i have in the past, but that takes up extra hard drive space, and takes way too long. i was under the impression that the ilife apps are supposed to just work with each other... intuitively and such
everything is up to date. here's my specs:

OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
iPhoto '11 - version 9.4.2 (710.42)
iMovie '11 - version 9.0.8 (1778)

Usually any videos in iPhoto appear in iMovie '09 in the item "iPhoto Videos" at the top of the listing in the iMovie Events browser. Clicking on this item (heading) reveals the video thumbnails to the right of the Events listing. However, I've noticed that my old 3gp videos from an earlier mobile phone don't show up in the Events, whereas some other formats do (for example, avi).
MPEG Streamclip will convert 3gp files to a suitable format for import to iMovie. I'm not sure if it will handle 3g2. In MPEG Streamclip, navigate to your movie and open it, or simply drag it into the workspace. Now export it as a QuickTime movie (.mov) in the format AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) or H.264. The default settings for these formats should be OK. Both these formats work well with iMovie. I just tested a 3gp movie, exported from MPEG Streamclip as AIC - this worked perfectly with iMovie.
To import in iMovie go to File>Import - Movies, then navigate to your movie.

PS After posting this, I realised that you can also export as AIC or H.264 from QuickTime 7.6.6 (although I do have the pro version - not sure if you need that). In QT go to File>Export and select Movie to QuickTime Movie then choose Options and select the format.

Video not showing up on Firefox (PCs)

Would someone be so kind as to look at this page and see if you can see a reason why the video does not show up on any of the Mozilla browsers on a PC only.
Weird thing is that it does work in IE on a PC. This was created in iWeb 08. I am about to go live with this website and am testing it on my .Mac.

I have another website that was created with iWeb 1 which contains a video and that one shows up fine in the Mozilla browsers on a PC.

That your page works correctly in many different browsers and OS's proves the page code is correct.
Something is wrong in your configuration or settings in your Mozilla browser on the PC. As a further PC browser test try viewing using the Windows version of Safari. If the PC Safari test passes then the Mozilla browser settings are the cause.
Very clever work with your QuickTime file. Lots of work went into it (I can tell). The kids have a great instructor.

Loaded Docs, Pictures & Videos not showing up on Playbook

I used the desktop application to load pdf docs, picutures & videos. The Playbook shows the files are loaded due to storage space usage but the files are not showing up as accessible. Basically, they are somewhere in the memory but when I do a search - nothing shows up. Very frustrated ----- HELP!

Purchased videos or videos that you shot with a camera?
If they are purchased from iTunes, are you using the same ID on the iPad that you bought the movies with?
Do you have content restricted in Settings>General>Restrictions>allowed content>Movies? That could prevent movies from syncing.
Are they in the correct format? Launch iTunes, select one of the videos and go to Advanced>Create iPad or Apple TV version.
You do not have Manually Manage Music and Videos selected in the summary tab of iTunes?

Videos not showing in the playlist

I have created a MV playlist which have no problem to play before I update my Itouch (4th Gen) to OS 6. I am able to see the playlist but not the contents. I deleted the playlist and tried to re-synced from Itunes. I tried reset my Itouch but still not showing contents in my MV playlist. My songs playlist work just fine. I still see the videos in my Itouch. It works fine if I play it from the video icon. Please help. Thank you!

AAC is not a video format for starters. It is an audio format.
What video compression format have you used? H.264 is the most common video format for iPhone.
