This is a video that is available on YouTube about changing the ink on a C7280 Photosmart. I'd like to know if you find videos like this useful and would like to see more of the same.     When this happened the first time I found a link on the HP site that was helpful but cannot find this link now but it was just about the same as:

    I find the Print Quality Troubleshooting page confusing. It does not address misalignment. The test pages you get when you press the green button for 2-3 seconds clearly shows misalignment of the magenta cartridge but when replaced with a HP cartridge the exact same misalignment occurs.
    I also tried using high grade paper with no change.
    HPPDU.exe was run and showed no conflicts.
    I updated my printer firmware HPCP1210_FW_Update-20100201.exe

I ran all the diagnostic tests including cleaning the cartridges, cartridge alignment, shut off the printer unplugged it, restarted, shut down computer retarted. All the other colors work except for the black cartridge. I checked the vent on cartridge and it is they way it should be. How can I print with Black Ink? very upset!!!! Have got to get something printed ASAP

    I've got the same with a new black ink cartridge. The display keeps alerting that you have to renew the ink. Tha's oke but the printer does not print black/White.
    Do i have to replace the collor ink also at the same time?
    Does it mean that if you replace black and not the color that it's NOT possible to print b/w?

    I see you have some questions regarding Instant Ink, I would like to do my best to answer them for you. You will get separate notifications for each cartridge.
    Once you install the first Instant Ink cartridges, the account is now active. There fore, it is best to install both inks into the printer. To store your opened cartridges, this guide should proved the best means of doing so.

  • Ink Cartridge replacement

    How do I get my unopened ink cartridge replaced? My old printer has just died and likely I am going to buy a new HP if I can get new ink by sending back the unused cartridges.

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

    You've already done the two things I would have suggested.
    If your Mini has an internal battery then I assume it's a G4. That means you've gotten a lot of good years of service from it, and it's old enough that it's certainly not covered by AppleCare anymore, and it's probably not worth spending money trying to repair it.
    You should be able to tear it apart using instructions from ifixit.com to get the hard drive out, and then put the hard drive into a nice USB or FireWire enclosure (I like the ones from Other World Computing, macsales.com) so you can transfer your data to a replacement Mac.
    I hope someone has another suggestion for you.

    23 GB  of other indicates a corrupt file(s).  A restore should resolve.

  • Replacement nibs for Ink and Slide?

    are replacement nibs available for the Adobe Ink and slide? I would imagine that they wear out over time and I cannot find any info regarding this.

  • Error lights for paper and cartridge

    The error lights for paper feeding problems and cartridge jams are both on. I have checked both the paper feeding and the movement of the cartridge. There are no problems in either area (no paper is jammed anywhere and the cartridge can move freely). Yet, I cannot get the two error lights to go away, even when I unplugged the printer, disconnect the power cord and press the cancel button. I've tried everything in the step-by-step troubleshooting on the HP website, and I also downloaded the complete software package from HP and checked for driver updates. What else is there to do? Is this printer compatible with MacOS "Yosemite"?

    HI John,
    You can try 1 more step.Unplug the printer cable while the printer is turned ON.Wait for 60 seconds.Connect the power cable back to the printer.Remove the ink cartridges and place them back again.If this step does not work,then it is a hardware issue with printer and needs to be replaced.

  • HP 932 XL - new ink and blank pages

    My problem is quite complex - I am a new user of HP 6700. I bought the printer second-handed - it was relatively new though - only 700 pages printed. There were almost used setup inks inside. I printed a test page and it was alright. I figured that everything was OK with the printer and ordered original HP 932 XL.
    When I got it, one thing had disturbed me - when I opened the box I noticed that the cartridge wasn't protected with anything - no safety plastic, no stickers, nothing.  My first question - is  that usual with the 932 ink? My previous printer was HP 3070 and the cartridges were always secured with safety plastic.
    After installing the cartridge, it was recognized as original and full, but when I wanted to print something - blank pages. I've tried printhead cleaning several times and sometimes on those test pages something black had appeared but it was unreadable.
    Then I again installed the almost used setup ink and it printed yet another page with the proper quality. Then again I installed the "new" ink, and nothing. I used almost a third of the new ink for printhead cleaning and still nothing.
    So I wonder - is that a problem with the new cartridge or may that be a problem with the second-hand printer that I bought?

    I am sorry to hear that your new HP 6700 is printing blank pages with your new ink cartridges, but I am happy to help!

    If that does not resolve the issue, and the printer prints fine with the setup cartridges and not the new ones, then it is mostly likely an issue with the new cartridges.   • Hp 6600 cartridge replacement

    Recieved message that ink was low in two cartridges.  I removed them in anticipation of recycling them when I bought new ones and closed the door on the printer.  The printer went into a diagnostic process.  The cartridge carrier/printhead moved to the far right and the screen informed me that two cartridges were missing.  When I attempted to put them back the cartridge carriage/print head would not move to the left when I opened the door.  It remains in the far right position. 
    I thought that if I turned it off then on again, it might comply but I get a message that doing so could damage the machine so I've not done that.  I've considered a power reset but fear that it might also damage my printer.  At the very least, I'd like to put the cartirdges back so that I can be assured that the print head will move to the proper position when I get my new cartridges and replace them.
    How do I get this to happen?

    The power should not be removed normally, but in your case you will need to do this.
    In the future do not remove the cartridges until you are ready to install a replacement.  If a printer is left for long with the cartridges removed it risks the printhead becoming clogged with dried ink and/or air being ingested into the plumbing.

  • Instant ink wrong cartridge

    I tried to change my cartridge today---with my first package from Instant Ink.  Alas, they sent me the incorrect cartridge for my printer.What can I do????I will need to go out and buy a new cartridge on my own; I hate the thought of going to the post office because HP screwed up.  Do I have any options here? My original cartridge that came with the printer says 61 on it; the Instant Ink cartridge is a bit bigger and says 61/301. OK!  So I got HP to send me a link to the video about installation and it works.Issue Resolved.    

    Hi,Unfortnetly there is very little you can do apart from let Hp know and see what they can do. Please try contacting Hp on the numbers here simply explain your issue and they should be able to help you out, and get the write cartridge. hope you get it sorted James

    Hello, I have an C510a and I'm getting Ink system Failure 0xc19a0023 and I'm also getting a printhead problen error message...can someone please help with this....paid too much for this printer for it to  have an issue

    I'll do the best I can to help you. Try taking out all the ink cartridges and lifting the latch next to them to remove the printhead that they set in. Make sure everything looks clean. (no smeared ink, etc...) Replace the printhead and cartridges and see if that resolves your issue.
