Videos Played through Home Sharing Don't Stop

Since the last update, videos that we play on an iPad over the Home Share network, don't stop playing when you shut down the app (the sounds keeps going and the Play symbol is still showing in the top right corner). Sometimes, the controls to stopt he video do not come up at all while a video is playing.
Anyone else having a problem like this? Happening on both of our iPads (iPad 2 and iPad 3).

Forum is designed to address technical problems. You can get free advise here, or you can contact apple
for the advice. You may have to pay to Applecare for the support thou. At that time I do not have precise information on how to stop that from happening, what I would try is going to settings, general, reset and use reset all settings option. You will lose your wallpaper, and will have to reenter wi fi password, but will not lose any other info. You also will have to go through initial set up where you have to pick English and your country. You want to make sure that you set your ipad as new, when presented with that option.

Voice Memos will not play through Home Sharing on other devices.

I have synced my voice memos to my Apple library on my Mac Mini and can listen to them on that device with no problem. However, when I use my iPad or MacBook or Air to play the memos using my Home Sharing the voice memos will not play on the device. Sometimes a random song will start instead of the voice memo. I can play videos and music through Home Sharing with no problems, it seems to be only the voice memos that won't stream to the connected devices. Any help would be great (using Yosemite on devices).

I'm running 4.3.3 on mine and just played Joe Ely's latest album on my 1st generation Zeppelin. I do get the message about it not being compatible and possible noise but I dismiss that and play the music.
You may need to reset your Zeppelin (disconnect it from power, wait 2 minutes, plug it back in), Reset you iPhone (hold down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red Off slider, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttones) or do both.
You may also need to update the firmware on your Zeppelin if you have not done so before now.

It can come about without any change done by the user, and it's not just from other networks. The placement of the router can also affect performance. Also make sure router is up to date.
Apart from that would be the reboots.

Why can't I play AUTHORIZED content through Home Sharing?

I have 2 laptops, one is a doomed Win and the other is a blessed Mac.
I tried home sharing for the first time and to back up my content to my Mac. Both are authorized to play the same content, HOWEVER, some TV shows just won't play (and of course if you can't play it through home sharing, you can't copy it) and I keep getting the authorize computer message!
Any idea why that is?
I can't believe that I had to go over my music, playlists and shows one by one before I can move them into the other library, not to mention that I've purchased those items myself under my account!

If the computer is accessible via home sharing, then it should be possible to simply browse to that computers drive as well.
Simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

You would have to use home-sharing if streaming from a computer. Computer would need to be on and running iTunes.

I can no longer see all of my videos through Home Sharing on my iPad

I have many Seasons of different TV Programs on my desktop computer. I used to stream that to my iPad or Apple TV through Home Sharing. Now I can only see three out of twenty or more TV Programs. I can see all my movies, but not the TV shows. Does anyone know how to rectify this. I thought rebooting my desktop may help, but did not make any difference. The version of iTunes is 10.5.3.3

Can no one help me with this issue? I can see all videos in iTunes, but not through Home Sharing.

Do you have anything connected to the dock connector of the iPod like a dock or cable?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Can I move an iTunes library from Comp1 to Comp2 through Home Sharing? What happens with the first sync? What happens to 3rd party app data (specifically, game scores/levels)?

I need to move an iTunes library from Computer 1 to Computer 2. Can I do this through Home Sharing, by dragging and dropping library items from one to the other? The library consists of iTunes purchases, home shared items and music/movies from our personal collection. Both computers have had all the accounts authorized, so I don't anticipate an issue there. I'd like to do this so that my son's ipod is impacted as little as possible -- specifically, his game scores/levels and other 3rd party data remain intact after the 1st sync and the organization of his icons remain intact.
Is there a way to do this smoothly and easily, protecting his ipod data/organization?

Sorry, I obviously wasn't clear. If you replicate the library from Computer 1 to Computer 2 by copying it, then all will be well. I routinely sync my iPhone and iPad both at home and at work using a single library that I migrate between the two locations via an external drive which is kept up do date using SyncToy.
Backup the iPod touch on Computer 1.
Copy the entire iTunes folder from Computer 1 to Computer 2, replacing any existing iTunes folder on Computer 2.
Check that content is accessible in the migrated library. (Won't be a problem for a standard iTunes library where all the content is inside the iTunes Media folder which in turn is inside your iTunes folder).
Connect iPod touch to Computer 2.
Sync.
In the unlikely event that something goes wrong (it won't) then you can connect the device back to Computer 1 to restore it.
Note device backups are not stored within the iTunes library and stay on the machine on which they were created. It is theorectically possible to migrate them but there isn't really any point. Once you have synced the iPod with the copy of the library on Computer 2 then Computer 2 will make its own backup of the device.

Say I have a video in my iTunes library and I would like to add it to my iPad so I can watch it when I'm not at home without hooking the iPad up to my PC and syncing.

Sorry, I miss-typed in my previous post. I meant to say you can't use homesharing to transfer content. (dictation got it wrong, but I should have checked). In order to transfer content from your iTunes library to your iPad, you would need to connect it to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi if you have Wi-Fi syncing enabled.
To enable Wi-Fi syncing you must first connect your iPad to your computer with the USB cable and then turn Wi-Fi syncing on in the settings within iTunes.

I had just setup itunes on my second computer using the same account through home sharing and it all work well. I then bought an entire album from the itunes store with the LP. The LP automatically got on my first computer and is shown on my second. However i can't access it on the second computer. The text is faded as if it were being downloaded, but it isn't.

You can share MP3, AIFF, WAV, AAC, and radio station links, but you cannot share iTunes Store Audio Books, Audible spoken word content, or QuickTime sound files.
