if the problem is present both places i'd suspect 2½ things
1. if your hd is more then 75% full all hd struggle clear some space
2. if your hd becomes fragmented it struggle try a return to factory setup and resync
2½. if your atv becomes too hot it slows down and playing video cause more heat them music and require more of the speed the heat may have removed by slowering down to cool off

I have Window Vista...Im not to computer friendly when it comes to deep details about the systems so I dont really know if its 32 or 64 bit but I did see that it is 919 bytes.
I WAS able to see the videos before the upgrade and the flash animation does NOT rotate in red F.

I recently have experienced problems with my appleTV, I have only had the product for about 3 weeks, but recently trying to watch videos (either rented or owned) have caused delays in the broadcast. I listen to my music library all the time with no problems, and I am just looking for suggestions to help with the problem, without having to re-sync all of the data.

Certain music videos will not play in iTunes. The music plays fine but not the video. No picture.

Regular playlists vs smart playlist does not make a difference. What I noticed is that some videos create this behavior and some not. I created 2 videos and 2 music playlists, one with 2 songs and 2 videos (that I encoded myself with Handbrake). Another list with 2 videos and 2 songs, videos encoded with Handbrake, but that I noticed they triggered the behavior. The first playlist played fine, with no problems. The second one, created the problem. When I look at the video, it is the same type of video (bit rate, audio channels, etc...) I don't see why it would do that.
Later I will test: playing those videos in question and then selecting songs to see if they play.

If you double tap the home button, and then swipe your finger to the right, make sure you DO NOT have the Lock Orientation button enabled.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

This problem only started since I upgraded to version 7. I have not used itunes since then because I couldn't watch anything without experiencing these problems. I was waiting for the next version to come out and hoped it would fix the problems I was having, but no such luck. I just upgraded to the latest version, version 11 and I'm still having the same problems. Anyone else having these same issues and if so, any solutions?

just go into settings go to sound and check that volume is up . and then go back home and make sure the side button volume is up if it doesnt work reply.

Imported videos skip during last five minutes of video but audio is fine

I've imported some videos i've downloaded from youtube to my 160GB ipod classic, all is fine after ipod sync. The problem arises when watching the video on my ipod, I get to the last 5 minutes of the video and it begins to play like its fast forwading and skipping parts, but I can still hear the audio perfectly fine. Videos play fine when watching them in my itunes library, so I know the video files are fine. they're MP4 format. Anything im doing wrong? Am vey confused why this is happing, any help would be much appreciated!

Having problems veiwing h264 videos larger than 2 gb, they refuse to play, in either windows or mac verison of FF. less than 2 gb they play fine.

I work for a video company encoding videos, The only problem we have is Firefox not playing videos encoded as H 264 (1080) larger than 2 gb, as they won't play. I Tried both current version 9.0.1 in mac and windows and no change. In IE, Chrome, the video plays fine. Is there a file limitation in Firefox? as I read someplace else that FF also has problems uploading 2 gb files, don't know of that's related. Any help would be appreciated.

ok, I'm corrected that HTML 5 support for h264 is not present in FF at the moment. SO if the Video hand-off to flash to play the video in Firefox would be the cause of the File size limitations, then it's Adobe's issue then, correct?

Start by providing some relevant information if you need troubleshooting help. We have no idea how or what you are doing whatever it is that you are doing.

CC Audio plays out of lip sync from video - Version 6 plays fine.

If I place a single DV NTSC video clip in a timeline in Premiere Pro CC (7.0.1 (105)) - the clip is out of lip sync. I have tried software/hardware rendering with no change.
If I open the same DV clip in a timeline in Premiere Pro 6 - the clip plays fine.
I of course cannot open the CC clip in version 6. All I am doing here is placing a single DV clip in the timeline to cut new start/end and export to MP4 - no effects, filters, nada. I noticed the MP4's were out of sync, then noticed the originals would not play right in the timeline.

I cleaned the cache and re-opened the project - no difference.
On all four of the clips I was working with the video was 5 frames early, so I ended up unlinking everything and shifting the audio 5 frames and exporting.
I also noticed I am not seeing the closed caption display. I am going to uninstall/reinstall CC.

WMP12 errors upon opening, but still plays fine

WMP 12 latest version, windows 8.1 update enterprise, HP elitedesk G1
When opening a wmv or mp4 file, WMP opens, then shows the error "Windows could not play the file".
HOWEVER, if you click close to close the error message, and then move the timeline slider 2 seconds into the video, and click play, the video plays just fine.
I have updated the sound card and video card drivers and disabled advance features, etc.
Is there a way to get the PC to ignore the perceived error, skip the message, and play it anyway? Because it will play.....

Please try to run the Windows Media Player settings/library troubleshooter:
1. Press Win+S, on the search box, type troubleshooter;
2. Choose troubleshooting, on the open window, select view all;
3. Find the Windows Media Player troubleshooting options and click to run.
Besides, please also take a try to reinstall Windows Media Player 12 via
turn Windows features on or off.
WMV and MP4 file type is supported in WMP12:
File types supported by Windows Media Player, so please also take a check with the file itself to see if it is corrupted.
