Vietcong problem - computer restarts randomly when playing

Hey,
I recently got the game vietcong, wicked game, but it randomly restarts the PC during gameplay.
Setup:
512mb RAM
Geforce 4
2.0 GHZ CPU
Any ideas as to why it just does this, it's random, some times it does it and some times it doesn't. :(

Could you give us more detailed specs of your PC like motherboard make of cpu make of ram etc would be helpful :P

Hey everyone. I just bought a Ti4200 8X and I saved up my cash, but now whenever I play battlefield 1942, my pc restarts randomly during Gameplay. I have windows XP 768 megs of ram, a compaq build, updated drivers, updated everything, contacted EA games, brought my pc in to be repaired they couldn't fix it so they charged me $100 and sent it back, lol im ready to go nuts. Ti4200 8X making computer restart randomly

Hey everyone I posted before but I went so crazy with this card and lack of normal tech support that I reinstalled windows xp, still my graphics card is screwing up.
I have a Ti4200 8x 128MB card. 768 megs of ram. Windows XP. Compaq build latest drivers. Whenever I play a certain game (Battlefield 1942) my computer restarts randomly. Its usually within 2 hours. but it could be half an hour. It could be 4 hours. Its so random. I just got this card, before I never had problems like this. I have a compaq 7001CL. They dont know a thing. I would be more than willing to give any information to help get this problem fixed. I'm gonna put on my dxdiag. Plz help guys, need any more info just ask.

I know it is not reheating, and I dont think its a power problem cuz it only happens when im playing Battlefield 1942. BTW it also restarts after installling live update. For no reason, and my computer freezes when i click MSI clock.
Plz help im gonna try to return it to msi and not ever recomend a card of theirs if i cant fix it lol

Download the latest DetonatorFX Drivers from the nVidia Website. After you install them, delete the file msicpl.dll from your Windows Directory.
See what that does for you.

HT1338 My mac book pro has three updates ready to install. When I select all three of them and click install it shows them downloading, the computer restarts, and when the computer turns back on and I go to updates again they are still there to install.

Upgraded Computer Routinely Crashes when playing Video games

I had an "HP Pavilion HPE-150f Desktop PC" for a few years, but about a year and a half ago, I upgraded the graphics card and the power supply. My new power supply was a Corsair TX 650, and my new graphics card was an
ATI Radeon HD6970 Sapphire. Everything went fine until about a month ago (so I had about a year of smooth sailing with this setup).
Usually after 5-10 mins of playing any video game, my computer starts getting hic-hupc (visual and audio lag, as well as input lag), and crashes soon after.
This problem tends to happen most when playing video games, but it also happens at random times when I am not doing anything demanding on my computer.
I get short bits of lag (visual, and sound lag). It starts up at distanced intrevals, but slowly gets more frequent. Eventually, the computer either freezes, or I get a blue screen.
I have cleaned up the dust in my computer numerous times. It didn't really help.
I have updated drivers after doing a full system restore on my computer (along with updating other windows related things), that did not help either.
I thought getting the drivers updated had solved my problem, but when I was playing a video game today I ran into the same issue. Which video game it is is not really a detail, since this happens with almost all games.
I had originally thought this was related to CPU temperatures, but I installed a program that monitors that and everything was within the 40-50 degree range. I'm told this is normal from my friends who get higher temperatures and yet do not run into this problem.
I'm on windows 7.
I will provide more info if needed. This problem has been ongoing for a few months now.
TL;DR:
Computer randomly starts lagging-up/freezing. I sometimes get a blue screen and I sometimes don't (meaning I have to restart the machine myself).
Problem happens more often when I am gaming, but it can also happen randomly at any given time.

7. i) The computer did come with the OS (win7 64bit), but it wasn't updated. To update it, I went to the search bar in the START menu and typed something along the lines of "Windows update", which took me to a seperate window, where I could let the computer update itself.
ii) The original product did not have the Power Supply it currently has, or The graphics card it currently has. I bought those two myself to modify the machine.
The original product was a "HP Pavilion HPE-150f Desktop PC". I believe that is the name for it. The System tab in control panel simply says "HPE-150f"
8. Monitor resolution 1920x1080, connected by DVI connector.

Ping Rises Randomly When Playing Dota 2 and WIFI Disconnects

I am using windows 8 on MSI Apache Pro GE60 2PE.
I have this issue where my ping goes up randomly for few seconds at few minute intervals when playing dota 2.
For example, my ping is usually around 100ms, then it rose up to 300 ms for few seconds and drop back down to 100ms. I have checked any apps running background but to no avail. I have even tried uninstalling my anti-virus but its the not the problem. Browser wasn't even running that time. I have updated my Intel Wifi driver and my Killer E2200 driver from MSI webpage.
I have tried with other computer using the same internet line but they show no such phenomenon. Anybody have such issue?

Sorry, but I only have 1 game currently that requires internet(dota 2). After removing the Nvidia Geforce Experience, problem still persists.
Between I have this issue as well, where when my computer connects to a wifi (not all), it disable the wifi. It connects to the wifi and disconnect itself few second after. And this affects everyone who is using the same wifi. When i forget the network, everything back to normal and others is able to use the wifi.

Computer restarts randomly

a few days ago, my mom unplugged my ipod without ejecting it.
now, sometimes my computer will restart randomly, and when it comes back it gives me the 'windows has recovered from a serious error' message.
also, the 'safely remove hardware' icon appears in the bar, when nothing is connected. it's for the mass usb storage device.
a friend told me to go into device manager and uninstall all the usb drivers and let them reinstall, but i wanted to get someone else's opinion first.
if you know anything, please help, because i am tired of my computer just restarting randomly.

are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)

1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.

Installed a MSI 570 GTX and my computer restarts randomly (On all games).

Just brought a MSI GTX 570 on Newegg and everytime my computer restarts when I open any games (The second I see a picture it just restarts).
When I it finish restarting I log in windows with no error message.

Audio problem with iTunes feed when played on iPod

I'm writing to see if someone can help.
The audio on my podcast works fine at Libsyn (at http://epltalk.libsyn.com). However, the same version that's on iTunes has audio problems when played on an iPod (it plays fine when it's played from the iTunes program on my Mac). During the interview portion of the podcast on my iPod -- downloaded from iTunes (listed under 'EPL Talk')-- you can only hear the answers, but you can't hear the questions (my voice).
Does anyone have any suggestions of what could be wrong? All of my other podcasts I listen to on the same iPod play fine. Very strange.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

My iTunes wouldn't update and so I tried to reinstall the new version, my computer restarted and when I clicked on iTunes, it said file not found.

I tried to update my iTunes so I could put some songs onto my ios 7 device and it wouldn't update. I would get a fail message. I went to the apple website and reinstalled it. After my computer restarted, I clicked on iTunes and said file not found. I looked everywhere but could not found a working application link. Help!!

N80 Restarting "WSOD" when playing large mp4 files

I love Anime's so I'm converting my "RMVB" or "AVI" video files from my pc to "MP4" so that i can watch in my N80.
here is the setting when i convert the files to MP4:
Video
-resolution is "352x288 (CIF)"
-frame rate(FPS) is set to "auto"
-Bit rate is set to "512"
Audio
-im just setting it to "mono" and "128kbps"
file size: is almost 110mb
there are two situation that i observed before the WSOD is happening:
1st situation:
when i try to play the mp4 file using "imaging folder---> realplayer".
2nd situation:
when i try to play the mp4 file using "gallery--> images and videos".
both situation makes my n80 restart A.K.A "WSOD" but the difference is it is restarting more often when im using the 1st situation that i couldnt enjoy what im watching.
In the 2nd situation i can play up to two 30 mins MP4 videos and then on the 3rd video usually WSOD will appear.
can someone tell me why this is happening? And this is only happening when im watching Video. Is this a firmware bug? pls help

i think that 512kbps is still ok in n80, because when i try to look at the properties of the "recorded video" of my n80. here are the properties:

that makes my sound setting also correct.
i dont really know why this is happening, im suspecting 3 things here:
-a bug in firmware
-version of realplayer
-or the converted file itself
if its the converted file can you please recommend a good video converter for nokia.

30GB Ipod restarts randomly when shuffling music....

Hello everyone, I am new here! Hopefully someone can answer my question...
You see, ever since I did the software update for my Ipod to 1.2, my Ipod restarts at any given time. It never use to do this to me. I bought this Ipod about 1 year ago, so I dont think I have any warranty left. Please someone help a guy out! I'm going crazy! I cant stand it anymore..I'm here shuffling through my music and it just restarts...ALL THE DAMM TIME! Thanks for any input and help. Oh and its a 5th gen Ipood black video.

This is ********. I did not buy this piece of **** just to play the songs it wants to play. I just read some other topics and people are having the same problem. I am not going to go through every possible song to start at 1 sec. So I guess there is no solution and its just a **** glitch. This isnt going to work for me. I am going to slit someones throat at apple if they dont do something about it. I have zero tolerance for this ********. I payed for a music player, but it aint playing. Mbp Restart randomly when open Photoshop. - Help!

I hate to said this. After 4 days, i lose patience! You know time is MONEY.
2 weeks ago i upgrade new yosemite and it works great. UNTIL i can't open my Illustrator and apple want to download java updates. And i downloaded and NIGHTMARE happen. For 4 days, my mbp restart more than 10 times when i try open PS doing my client work. until i get mad from client because of photoshop failure. What happen Apple??
i read all problem and solutions here. i also try load java panel. it still happen. for 3 years I'm proud using my mbp..now i feel very frustrated.

Dvd plays ok on computer, no colour when played on TV

I have just burned a DVD for the first time. The project was edited in imovie first and has stills plus video. It looks fine in the preview and plays fine on my imac but when I play it through my sony dvd player it looses the colour and plays black and white.
any ideas?

Another possibility is, the TV that you have has all the color taken out. To find out I would see if the TV plays anything else in color. If it plays cable TV input and the input from the DVD Player in black and white then the problem is probably a setting in the TV. But if the black and white problem is only occurring with the input from the DVD Player the problem is either 1)Mac-onga is right and the plugs are put in the wrong inputs on the back/front of the TV OR 2)there is a black and white setting on the DVD player.
