Vietnamese Character in PO printing

Hi,
Were  doing SAP vietnam, one challenging is how to make the PO prinout capture the Vendor Name written in Vietnamese character..
The vendor master name is created/entered in the vietnamese character, during PO creation, the correct vendor name in vietnamese character is captured  but during PO printing, the vendor name is having inconsistent character..
eg. vendor name created in vietnamese       Tạo mẫu
the vendor name change during PO printing   T#o m#u
we are using a customize program Z(copied of orignal PO printing program and Zmedruck...
pls. help

This issue relates to the manner in which the print program is translating the characters, so i would strongly suggest work with your abaper & your basis consultant to ensure the requisite language packs are available.
Good luck.
Regards,
Vivek

  • Maximum number of character we can print in a column uing ALV grid display

    Hi frnds,
My requirment is to print 500 charcter data in a column using ALV grid display.
Could any body tell me is it possible and the maximum character it can i print in a column using ALV grid dispaly.
    Regards,
    Sandipan

    Hi Sandipan,
refer notes 857823, 910300 and 959775. All these say there is a limitation of 128 characters.
857823 - ALV grid: Strings with a maximum of 128 characters
    Symptom
Entries in cells of the type CHAR or string are truncated after 128
    characters in the SAP GUI.
    also refer,
ALV Grid Control (cl_gui_alv_grid), function module (Full-screen) Grid
(Reuse_alv_grid_display, SAPLSLVC_FULLSCREEN), SAPGUI, back end, front end
    Cause and Prerequisites
The data table that is sent to the front end only allows character values
    with the length 128.
    Solution
This is the standard system behavior and cannot be changed.

  • Character mode report printing

    hi everyone,
When I am running report in character mode, it is working fine in previewer. But as soon as I am giving the printing from there, it is giving Rbe ERROR dialog box and runform is getting hanged. How can I get report printed directly from previewer in character mode report generation.
On the other hand if i redirect o/p to a file by making destination type file, then I am able to take to print of file. If any have a solution, please reply ASAP.
    Thanking every one
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
It is not clear from your question about the type of error message you are getting.
Please meake sure that the report is indeed a character mode report.
Please verify the following for that:
    1. The mode in system parameters is defaulted to
    'caracter'
    2. In the property palette of the report, the "design in character units" should be marked as yes.
Please ensure that above points and try printing again.
    thanks

  • Vietnamese Character

Some of Vietnamese characters are not displaying in the PDFs.
Original Text : Số tham chiếu của ngân hàng
Text Displayed in the PDF: S tham chi u c a ngân hàng

I assume you are running version 5.6. Take a look at the ^symbolset command in the Print Agent reference manual. You will see the supported code pages. You may need to revert to Unicode because as I said before, Vietnamese was not supported.
    cheers
    Chris
    by the way...the default 1252 is WinLatin1

  • Character spacing messes printing and PDF exporting

I'm having problems printing and exporting to PDF from Pages.
The problem is that when I'm using Character spacing (ie. -7%) they display different on screen, on paper and in PDF. They display right on the screen. But PDF and printing get messed up, the spacing is not right and it adds more space to the fonts.
    I'm using:
    Mac OS X 10.5.1
    Pages 3.0.1
    Thanks,
    Fannar

I was having the very same problem. I was trying to make a business card with my name centered and character spacing at 40%. The character spacing seemed to only work for the first character. When it came to print or export, the text had shifted left as if it were centered with the spacing applied.
Fear not! I found a solution. Instead of directly printing or exporting as a pdf, I chose to save as a PostScript file in the print dialog. I could then open this file in Preview and save as a pdf or print with the designed character spacing.
    File>Print>PDF>Save as PostScript..
This work flow also fixed some nasty degradation of smaller fonts.

  • Printing special character from report

I was reading thru the other discussion on the same subject as I hv a similar problem. I am trying to print the character ' in a report. Note that it is not coming from the database. It is a hard typed character in the text of the report. It works fine on NT but doesn't work when we run the report under Unix. Currently our report server is on Unix so.. It just prints a '?'. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

I was wondering if there is a way to bypass
Unix fonts and send the character to the
printer using PL-SQL code in this
particular case. Any idea?Ideas, maybe, answers, no. I haven't had
that particular problem, but if I did, I
    would:
    1) First step: make sure you can generate
a report that has the correct character
code value and that your Unix OS doesn't
force it to '?' because of US7ASCII.
    2) Second step: make sure the printer is
given something it can understand; the
character has to be in it's font palette
too. Either it has to know what to do
with B1 hex, or you have to put a header
in your output file telling it how to
    interpret that.
Good luck, sorry I couldn't help more.

I mean in between 60020 and 002 I want to print the character dash on printer.
For this what code changes I need to do in C&REGUD-CHECT&C A&REGUH-UBNKL&A &REGUH-UBKNT&C.
    Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, the zebra printer I have cannot print beyond 4 Inch width. I used to get this error initially but when I have created a custom device type which was copied from lb_zeb2 and included the page format ZBGLBL which is the page size of 2 1/2 X 4 1/2 I started getting this new error.
I am not sure, if this is the right way to handle this. Also do we need do some special coding using ZPL4 if yes where and what are those commands
