View 2 jsp page(ie) at the same time

Hi,
Say, I have 2 jsp files displayed in 2 separate ie screen. Say both are at the taskbar. The first page is currently shown with full screen view. When I select the 2nd page 50% screen view, I still can see the first page appearing in background. But when I click on the first page area to key in some data, the second page cannot be viewed/blocked. How do I make the second page still viewable ?
Regards,
tw.

There may be some Javascript that prevents people from moving the browserwindow to the background, but such things are extremely annoying and will allienate visitors from your site.

  • How do I keep more than one safari page open at the same time?

New to Mac.  I'm used to being able to have several applications open at the same time, and able to check emails, eBay, camera for downloading photos, etc., but when trying this on Mac, I can't seem to figure out how to swing from email to something else....oh, it opens up eBay and other pages, but not where I left it...I have to keep starting from the beginning...name, password, etc.   I can't have 3, 4 or 5 safari pages open at the same time??  This is making my life cumbersome, and running back to the basement office and using my dying Dell desktop where life was a bit simpler.  Sometimes I need to copy a few paragraphs on one website into another....and its taking me way too long to get this done.  I know there's a way of doing this on Mac....

    Hi Suzkas,
I was new to mac a short time ago and I had frustrations in the learning curve especially as I was so used to working with PC.
If you look at the top left of the screen you will see the words SAFARI next to the apple logo. if not then either open safari or click on the window and the mac will then show safari at the top. If you now click on FILE you can select NEW WINDOW or NEW TAB as you wish. I often use new tab and switch between them. If you go to VIEW and select CUSTOMISE TOOLBAR you can drag an icon to the top of the safari window and you won't have to keep going to the menu to add a new tab. I will sometimes select new window to keep something separate from my other work.
If you close down a window you will often lose your place, but using the tab system you will leave the window active unless you select the cross to terminate. If you have a separate window open you can select the orange blob (between the red and green at the top) and the window will slide down to the dock and stay there, active, for you to return and continue.
Hope this help, stay with it, go see the instore staff and pretty soon you wont look back
PS I have PARALLELLS6 running with a copy of windows 7 on my mac. This means that I can switch to microsoft if I want to. However, with office for mac installed I rarely need to now, the only time I ever open windows is for an application that has no mac version.

  • How do I view more than one image at the same time in CS6?

How do I view more than one image at the same time in CS6?

    Hi there
If you go to Window > Arrange you can choose from several view options. Below I have selected Two-Up Horizontal since I have two images, but you can select other options if you have more than one image.

  • Does anyone knows a way to work with various Pages documents at the same time, for example with a system of tabs to switch directly from one document to the other?

    Hello everyone,
Working with numerous Apple Pages documents at the same time, I am looking for an efficient solution to switch faster from one document to the other. Integrating all them in a single framework, for exemple by switching from one to the other with a system of tabs would be of great help. Does anyone knows if such a possibility exists?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jean-Baptiste

Thanks. It works and is very efficient. Not as much as a real system of tabs, but is allows to switch very fast between different documents. Only regret I would have is that it doesn't work with a document which is on full page mode. But that's already very helpful!
You're very welcome but Peggy really gave you the answer already.
With regard to the full screen apps, I don't think Apple have yet worked out how to make them elegantly coexist with other apps.  The closest you can get is the four finger swipe gestures you may use on a trackpad if you have one (Mission Control and App Exposé).
In fact nowadays I use the App Exposé (four finger swipe down gesture) more often than I use Command-Accent to move between documents in the same app (when not in full screen).  It also as the advantage of showing you thumbnails of recently opened documents below the ones already open within the app.  If you haven't tried it, I suggest you give it a whirl.
I can't remember now but I think the four finger gestures are not enabled by default and you must switch them on in System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures.

  • Anyway to have source code html, design view and CSS open windows at the same time?

    Hi all,
Is there anyway I can keep design view, source code AND css open on screen all at the same time?
Constantly clicking between source and css is really becoming irritating, would be so much easier if they were both on screen at the same time.
    Any help would be great

    You have two choices.
1 You can go to preferences>general and the very first item (in CS6) is "open document in tabs" if you deselct that then you can view your page in split view and also open up the CSS file and have it visible as well.
2 If you use tabs you can view the page in split view and open the CSS file and then detach the css from the tab and it will be an idependent item. You detach it by highlighting the tab and then dragging it down.
It helps to have a large screen, and better still to have more than one screen, you can put the css on the other screen.

  • Can ADF keep multiple pages open at the same time?

My company is currently developing an application to upgrade a client's FORMS system to one based on ADF. One of our client's biggest complaints with the new technology is that he can't work on many tasks at the same time, because our application can't work with "tabs" or "different windows", like Forms can with the "open form ()" function.
Currently, we use a page called "main.jspx" with the main menu and a region under it, where we load all the "jsff" pages, which do all the different tasks in their systems (like autorizeBuyOrder.jsff, createNewOrder.jsff, etc...).
Right now, I can only have one "jsff" page loaded on the region at once, and I wanted to make my application able to load and keep track of as many as the user wants. I was thinking on something like a tabs system, or multiple windows system. Does ADF provide any elegant way to do this? Any material you can recommend me?
    Much appreciated,
    Daniel

  • What do i need to download to my iphone 3gs to be able to view all 4 security cameras at the same time? I can view one at a time live video streaming and just tap the screen to which direction i want to look and the lens moves.i use safari

What do i need to be able to view all 4 security cameras in the same window on my iphone 3gs? I can view 1 at a time and just tap the screen to move the lens of the security camera on my iphone from my work place. But i once had all 4 cameras but it will not downlosd all 4 now. Is there anything out there like a stronger java to push the activex to my iphone?

The iPhone does not run ActiveX. That is proprietary to MS Internet Exploder.

  • Viewing two PDFs on screen at the same time

I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and I can not view two pdfs at the same time anymore.
I am sue there must be away. I know there is a compare tool, but this does not do what I want.
    Any ideas?

This is the Reader forum, not the Acrobat one, which is here...:

In any case, if I open two or more PDF files from within my Acrobat 9 Pro, they open in separate windows.

  • Can two people update a single Pages document at the same time like with Google docs?

Is it possible for two different users to concurrently update an iWork document (pages/numbers/presentation) that resides on the iCloud?

That I don't know swithout testing.
My suspicion is that both users probably can open the same document but there will be conflicts when saving. Last one in gets to overwrite the others work.
There is nothing in place that I know of that arbitrates access.

  • Is there any way to display document page numbers and section page numbers at the same time?

Hi, I have different sections within my document starting the page numbering at 1. Besides the section page numbers I would also like to display the actual document page numbers in the header (eg. you are on page 10 of the document and page 4 of the section). Is there any way to do that? Thanks

You can maybe use the Find/Change
    Command+i
See if that can work for you.
But like Steve said it is good practice to use Paragraph Style whenever you have lots of Type, I just get lazy sometimes.. lol
    Thanks

  • Change default view across multiple page libraries using the same content type/types?

I am the editor for a large SharePoint publishing site with approximately 130+ subsites. Based on our content, I've create two diffferent default views that will come in handy as we move to a distributed authorship model. (I'm thinking specifically about
the Quick Edit/Excel-like feature to make quick changes to page/document metadata.)
The authors/content owner/editors have NO experience with SharePoint, so while the benefit of using views is that they can be tailored to individual needs, I'd like to start them off with something that is VERY easy to change on the fly. It's either that
or, as just a power user in the CMS, go to each individual page and document library and change it manually, which could take days, if not longer. Thanks!

    Essentially, yes.
That said, I am using SharePoint 2013, and I just now realized that I posted this in the legacy SP forum. You'll have to excuse me -- this is my first time posting:)
Basically, I have two different "ideal" views based on two different site templates. These two site templates account for over 100 publishing subsites. The view has 18 different metadata that will make editing/making changes to article pages much
easier for content owners because they will be able to go into the page libary>ribbon>library>quick edit and edit the metadata as if it were an Excel spreadsheet. This comes in especially handy for things like rollup order between primary, secondary,
tertiary pages within a subsite.  Ideally, it would be nice to be able to add that view as an option within the CMS (similar to the way you can add a view style).
I hope that makes sense. Also, I'll repost the question to SharePoint 2013. Much appreciated!

  • Every time I open a second document the 1st one slides off the screen and I have to reopen everything.  I want to view more than 1 document at the same time.

How can I view and work on more than one document at a time?  I've never had a problem with this but suddenly every time I open a new document the 1st one slides over out of sight.  How do I get that to stop?

    Hi bbd,
Here is a screen shot of two documents open side by side. Drag the first document to the left of the screen. Open another document and drag it to the right of the screen.
I have not had an open document slide from view. Puzzling!

I had tried to configure the java development kit to the relevant directory in the catalina.bat file. Am I configuring in the wrong place?

If you haven't already, you need to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
Setting it in catalina.bat is the wrong place. In Windows XP you can set the environment variables by
1 - right click My Computer: propreties.
    2 - Advanced Tab
3 - Button "Environment Variables" (near the bottom)
4 - add a System Variable: JAVA_HOME to be the place you installed java
JAVA_HOME should point to the directory you installed java. ie NOT to the java/bin directory (one common error)
    Hope this helps,

  • HT3231 Can you see 2 or more screens at the same time on a Macbook?

If you know how to set up your Macbook so that you can view 2 or more screens at the same time on the display, please tell me the steps I need to take to do this.  Thanks!

    Hi geniew,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The link below will give you some pointers on how to customize the Mac.
Apple - Find Out How - Mac Basics
I believe what you are asking is how to change the size of a window so that you can see two applications side by side.   For example, open the Safari application, and drag the bottom right corner of the window to resize it, then quit Safari.  When you open the application again, the window will open in the smaller size you created.
Repeat for any other applications you wish, so that you can have windows open side by side.
Alternatively, you can switch between applications quickly as mentioned above in the link.
    Quickly Switch Between Applications
The Mac makes it easy to have multiple applications — Mail, Safari, iTunes, Pages, iChat, iPhoto, and others — open at the same time. So how do you quickly switch from Safari, let’s say, to Mail?
Just hold down the Command key and press the Tab key (Command-Tab). Mac OS X immediately displays a mini-Dock with icons for each of your open applications. At the left side of the mini-Dock, you’ll see the icon for your current application. Next to it (and highlighted), you’ll find the icon for the application you last used. Each time you press the Tab key (without releasing the Command key), you can cycle through your open applications.
One more tip: You can also use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys to navigate your open applications.
Or, use Expose to manage multiple windows:
