View and Control Group Name on Upload?

Is possible to view the group name or to control the group name on a file in Dreamweaver when it is uploaded?
Since the beginning of this year when I create a new file such as a folder or a PDF and upload it, it is attributing a wrong group to my user name. If I create a new HTML file from a template and upload, that file is attributed to the correct group with my user name. I can't figure out if you can view the group for a file in Dreamweaver or if you can control it, I've had to use another FTP client to view the group name and figure out this was my problem.
This group name inconsistancy is causing serious issues, giving me and others in the group the "access denied" error because the files are uploading with the wrong group name. Is there anyway to change the group name or make sure when I upload a file, the correct name is on it?
I am using a Mac, but others in the group are using a PC and have the same issue. Not sure if the group name is something we can and should be controlling or something that is out of our reach.

There are user names and group names, it's part of the permissions. My user name is coming up with two different group names when I am uploading files, sometimes the files have the correct group name associated with my user name and sometimes they have an incorrect group name tied to my user name. I need to know if these group names can be viewed in Dreamweaver anywhere like the permissions are so I know when a file is not accessible to others in my group, and if I can control what group name is being assigned to a file when I upload it. Currently I am using another FTP client to see the what the group name is next to a file, but I cannot change the group name in it if it is wrong.

How to view and control a VI remotely from a web browser

Hello,
I want to see and control a vi using a web browser.
I followed the steps recommended in help and I can see and control the front panel of my vi.
So far everything is OK.
First problem:
A button activates a simple window display a message (One Dialog button). The dialog box opens on the server computer but can not be seen in brouser and therefore can not be closed remotely.
The second problem:
Another button activates another window (vi) loaded dynamically. The VI is reentrant and is open with option 0xC0 ("Enable simultaneous calls on reentrant VIs" and "Prepare to call and forget"). By activating the button, it opens multiple instances of the VI properly and runs on the server computer, but their are not visible to the client computer.
I created, after the same algorithm, corresponding HTML file for the dynamically loaded VI and it is saved in the same place with the main program HTML file.
What to do as the client computer can operate main VI and adjacent windows from the browser?

Another option would be to use something like WebSockets and have your LabVIEW application communicate with a web-page you've designed/developed with Javascript. Then you can use things like floating windows/dialogues with jQuery. It's a lot of work though as you'll need to define your websockets API for talking to your application and then develop the web-page in HTML/CSS/JavaScript for your user interface.
Unfortunately, even browsers are moving away from pop-up windows (chrome and various addons tend to block popups and they don't play nice with mobile devices). You can have semi-dialogue-like pop-ups though with modal dialogues: https://jqueryui.com/dialog/#modal-message Note though that they are contained within the browser window.
My advice would be to think about creating a custom UI in LabVIEW that works with a single pane / panel (you can use tab controls!) and use that with remote front panels. Then decide if you want to invest the time/effort in a WebSockets/Web Services approach with your own browser-based UI. Note as well that remote front panels don't work in Chrome properly any more.

What would be the simplest way to view and take control over the internet?

Hi All:
Can some one tell me what would be the best and simplest way to connect from my laptop to another laptop through the internet?
I have DYNdns running on the second laptop and have a host name assigned to that system for it to update the IP since the system uses different internet connections. The services that I would like to be able to have are the viewing and controlling of the system. I've read some where in this NG that if I have a copy of ARD admin. installed on that system also, it would be one way to do it... can some one verify this and please let me know if there are any specific settings I need to have on either one of the systems.
I can connect to the second laptop while in my home network with no problem and perform all tasks. when trying to connect through the internet.. the system shows offline .
Both systems are identical in hardware an software, Intel 2.16, 2G's RAM, OS X ver 10.5.2 all up to date and ARD 3.2
Yes, I'm new to ARD and yes I'm searching the NG and the net. but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask since time is limited.

To be able to connect to a workstation from outside it's network, the ports that ARD uses must be open on both ends of the connection. ARD uses ports 3283 and 5900 so those must be open.
If your workstations get their addresses from an NAT device rather than being "real", the ports also need to be forwarded in the router to the workstation's internal IP address. ARD uses port 3283 for the reporting and updating function, so if your Macs are getting their IP addresses through NAT, since you can only forward a port to a single workstation, you can only get reports, push package/files to etc. for a single workstation.
ARD uses the VNC protocol for observation and control, though, and there are a range of IP addresses for that protocol, starting with 5900. ARD uses 5900 by default, so that port would be forwarded to the first workstation. You would, I believe, need to install VNC servers on the systems (since the ARD client cannot listen on any port other than 5900 while VNC servers can be set for other ports such as 5901, 5902, etc. You would then forward 5901 to the second workstation (and on to 5902, 5903, etc.). You can then use the following information:
Remote Desktop 2: How to specify a port number for a VNC client
to connect.
The only other options are: 1) to run the ARD administrator on a workstation on the network, and then take control of that system from outside, either via VNC or another copy of ARD, or 2) set up a virtual private network (VPN) so that when you connect from outside, your admin system is officially part of the local network.

Yes the 3 characters are the Purchasing group code, you can find the code and name in table HRP1000.
To fetch those you can use the FM :

X axis labels for custom group names

I have a report with one group. That group has a customized group name field, and the group name is a formula. When I display the group name in the data section of the report, it displays according to the formula.
I now need to chart two pieces of data - Primary # of Sales and Secondary # of Sales - for that group so I can compare the two # of sales. If I make a chart for the Primary # of Sales, and go to the group tab in the Chart Expert and specify "on change of Group By Value (my grouping), show the sum of the Primary # of Sales", the chart displays as desired, and I see the custom group name (formula) as the X axis label.
But if I go to the Advanced Layout on the Data tab of the Chart expert and specify the Sum of Primary # of Sales AND Sum of Secondary # of Sales in the Show Values section, the X axis label no longer shows the custom group name; it shows the group value.
Any ideas for how to get it to show the custom group name when I chart two fields of data?

Getting group names for a list of IDs

I've got the list of group IDs of which the user is a member, and I'm trying to get the group names in a single query. I've got it working where I get each name in a loop, but I'm concerned about performance if a user is a member of a large number of groups.
This is the Java code I've been fooling with:

This is group set up when creating user. This is standard functionality.
What we do:
Step 1.
Using "Administer" tab in portal, then using "Create new groups" link, We have created various groups. We assigned six digit numeric value to group name. We have several groups, such as 001234, 002235, 003348. These group's have different privilege.
Step 2.
Using "Administer" tab, we create new user on a regular basis using "Create new users" link. Later on, we assign these new user to a group created in step 1.
We have a custom table, where we store, user and their corresponding group information, such as:
record user name group name date created
1 aaa 001234 01-02-04
2 bbb 001234 01-04-04
3 ccc 002235 01-05-04
Key in the table is based on both user and group name.
What I need to find out is, when user 'aaa' logged in, to find out who is the user and what portal group this user belong to.
Then join these two value to our custom table to make sure to match the user and his group name, and get other value from other table and display in the LOV.
But I am not sure what API need to use in my query in LOV. Or is there any other way?

Unable to turn on Allow Viewing and Controlling

Hello,
I am using Labview 7.1 on a Windows XP Machine and have written a VI I
wish to view and control throw a browser. When I go to Web Server:
Browser Access the option to "Allow Viewing and Controlling" is greyed
out and I can't select it. I am able to select either of the other
choices "Allow Viewing" or "Deny Access" And I have tested "Allow
Viewing" and it works (I can view an image of the VI).
I have tried it with other simiplar VI I have, but the option to "Allow Viewing and Controlling" is still greyed out.
My Question:
Is the "Allow Viewing and Controlling" option only avilable on a bigger
package (I only have the basic package) or is there other options that
I need to correct before I can Allow Viewing and Controlling?

Can the position and szing of a control element in a View be controlled from the ViewModel?

Is it possible to change the position of a control, say a label, as a response to some action/operation from the ViewModel? Like if one response to something is true then place the label in the top left corner. If false, place the label
in the lower right corner. I realize you could have a label in each position and just set the visibility. But can the position and sizing of said label be controlled from the View Model? What would be a sample coding of this? would
it be in the xaml or combination of a method in the ViewModel and the xaml?

First off Rich, say TextBlock to yourself ten times.
Use a TextBlock rather than a label.
There are a bunch of different ways to do this and the easiest is to have two controls whose text is bound to the one property.
Bind the Visibility of each to another 2 properties in the viewmodel.
Collapse one and Visible the other.
The reason for that is that it's easier.
Technically, you could put one textblock in a grid and use margin to control this. You could animate x y co-ordinates and move the textblock mysteriously across the window if you put your mind to it.
Or you could put it in a row/column "cell" of a grid and change which cell it goes in - but that would involve some mechanism like messaging from the viewmodel to the view and is not really ideal if you can avoid it.
I'd have a pair of textblocks, here's one:

Visiblity="{Binding TopLeftVis}"
Both would bind to a public string property msg in the viewmodel.
They each get their own public visibility property and that'd be switched between Visibility.Visible and Visibility.Collapsed.
Sizing of textblocks is best fitted to content because all you see is the text.
Textboxes are arguably different because you can see the things.

I am using MSSQL SSRS 2008.
All the reports run properly when viewed via a web browser. However for subscription, I am having a strange
experience.
The subscription having intermitten failure. I need to execute multiple times to get it work.
Following is the exception I am getting:-
Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.Mail will not be resent.
Failure writing file DailyPolicyExportCDN_ST@timestamp : The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.
Following is the exception I retrieve from log files.

According to your description, you can access your report successfully, but it fail to send e-mail subscription. Right?
In this scenario, since you can access the report successfully, so this user has permission on report server. Please go to E-mail setting in your Reporting Services Configuration Manager, check if the current user has permission on that SMTP server.
If this is still not working, please recreate the subscription and try again.

How to control IE10's "Compatibility View settings" via Group Policy

of all thanks for taking the time to read this. I must let you know that I have limited experience with Group Policy so here it goes...
Domain Controllers are 2008 R2 Datacenter and client computers are Win7 Pro with IE10
I need to add several sites to the "Compatibility View settings" in IE10 and have these pushed out via Group Policy.
I followed this to enable the "Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites:"

I even added the settings to both User Configuration as well as Computer Configuration. However the computers on the domain wouldn't show these sites in
IE even after forcing a GP update (gpupdate /force)

Next I installed the Administrative Templates for Windows Internet Explorer 10 on the DC:

on the DC. I also see a lot of .ADML files located at C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\en-US.
Where is my Central Store located that my Group Policy references? How do I know what location GP is reading from?

If I mouse-over "Administrative Templates" in Group Policy Manager is says that the policy definitions are retrieved from the local machine.

While in Add/Remove Templates I click on Add and it defaults to looking for "Policy Templates" and will not let me select and .ADM/.ADML/.ADMX files.
What am I doing wrong here?

Regarding your question, usually we create a Central Store for Administrative Templates (Both .admx and .adml files), and create a folder that is named PolicyDefinitions in the following location:
\\FQDN\SYSVOL\FQDN\policies. The .adml files on the Windows computer
are stored in a language-specific folder. For example, English (United States) .adml files are stored in a folder that is named "en-US." When you have copied all .admx and .adml files, the PolicyDefinitions folder on the domain controller should contain the
.admx files and one or more folders that contain language-specific .adml files.

Based on your description, I understand you enable the setting “Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites”. However, didn’t show any sites in IE in client even after forcing a GP update
(gpupdate /force). Please use command “gpresult” in clients to collect the GPOs, and then check whether the GPO contain the setting “Use Policy List of Internet Explorer 7 sites” was applied to clients or wasn’t.
In addition, you also can change the related setting by using registry directly.
Follow the path of the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Policies->Microsoft->Internet Explorer->BrowserEmulation->PolicyList. (Create registry folders
manually if not present)
Right Click
PolicyList ->New->String Value->Enter the name of the website. (Both under ‘Name’ and ‘Data’. For example,
Value name: example.com Value data: example.com)

is there a way to bind/associate a ip dns view and/or ip dns view-group to a specific interface so I can end with something like:

So after a couple of hours of playing around and testing I've finally found the correct settings to achieve this, I wasn't able to find the configuration options through the Windows Airport Utility client but borrow a MacBook Air from a family member and was able to find it:
1. Open the AirPort Utility on a Mac computer.
2. Click on your AirPort Device, then click "Edit".
3. Select the "Internet" tab.
4. Now in the "Domain Name" section type "yourhostname.ddns.net" or it could be "yourhostname.no-ip.com" or whatever other hostname No-IP.com may have assigned you.
5. Now click the "Internet Options" button.
6. At the bottom of the windows that opened tick the check box "Use dynamic global hostname"
7. In the "Hostname" section fill it with "no-ip.ddns"
8. In the "User" & "Password" sections fill it with the username and password that you chose when creating your "No-IP.com" account.
9. Now click "Save" which will save the settings and click "Update" to update the Airport device which will also restart it.
And you're done!
Please note that it does sometimes take up to 5 to 10 minutes to update the DNS settings to No-IP.com, which caused me to think it wasn't working initially.

It may be best to recreate the folder and the smart playlists from scratch.

As per my knowledge goes, We can see from Administrator which Folder is associated with a Workbook. Else you may have to manually open each and every workbook and look for the objects.
