View broken

We have a materialized view showing red cross in oralce sql developer. But it functions well, we can select on it, no errors.
I searched on web, and some tells if underlying table changed, it may be broken. and need to refresh.
So I think I need to refresh it, using alter materialized view ... compile, but it told me the table or view doesnot exist.
What could be wrong?
Thanks

How can we reproduce what you report?

Oracle is too dumb to lie. Are you sure that you are logged into the DB as the owner?
How do I ask a question on the forums?

How to view broken powerpoint pptx?
I worked on the presentation Powerpoint, after successful completion of 4 hours of work and close the file, save the presentation as the
format pptx. On the next day at the opening-message that the file content that can not be read. And even with the full confidence of the file access error.

    Hi,
Would you please provide the complete error message to us so that we can narrow the issue down?
Does this error happen to other presentation files? If it only happens with the particular file, we can try the following steps to see if you can open it successfully:
    1. Create a blank presentation file.
    2. In the blank presentation file, under Home tab, click the New Slide drop-down list, and then click Reuse Slides.
    3. In the Reuse Slides task pane, click Browse > Browse File. Click the damaged presentation, and then click
    Open.
    4. Right-click one of the slides in the Reuse Slides task pane, and then click
    Insert All.
If this operation is successful, all the slides from the damaged presentation, except the slide master, are inserted into the new presentation.

  • View Broken Movie Files?

    Hi All
I was testing a Automator workflow which eventually I want to build into a full program.
Is there anyway to view Broken Quicktime Movie files which anyone knows of. I had a movie being recorded by Quicktime but for some reason or another there was power interruption and the movie files are broken. I need some program which can read the data and show me the movie upto the point it stopped recording.
    Thanks

  • IPhoto events view broken after import, images missing

I'm running the latest iPhoto on a 10.8.2 Retina MacBook Pro and experience some strange import problems since the end of last month.
My library holds more then 26.000 images right now and whenever I try to import some new images by dragging them from Finder to the iPhoto library the images (and videos) get imported... but when I try to view the event afterwards it doesn't open and the scrolling of the complete events view is broken. The scrollbar moves but thumbnails of events don't! I'm not able to use the events view anymore after a try to open such broken event.
When I use the regular photos view (the 2nd item in the left menu) I can see and use these new images... until I quit and restart iPhoto. Afterwards many images are missing – see http://cl.ly/JrjF for an example. I can delete those broken events... but not empty the trash afterwards. It just hangs while purging all entries.
    Has anyone experienced this already?
I'm importing iPhone images uploaded to the DropBox "Camera Uploads" folder. But I can't believe it has to do with anything related to this.
I've also disabled the Photostream feature (not the shared ones) in iPhoto because I got tired of splitted events due to Photostream missing some images now and then. Maybe it has to do with that disabled feature. I'll try to reenable it after restoring my 5 days old backup (120GB) a second time now.
Thanks for your help... let's hope I can solve this.

This sounds like a damaged database.
    Try this test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
If it's not then back to your main Library:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • JSF Design view broken, showing tags as blocks instead of preview

    I'm using jDev Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.3.0_GENERIC_120914.0223.6276.1
but this has happened to me several times before with previous versions of jDev.
All of the sudden after restarting jDev the design view for all my jsf pages look broken, showing only tag blocks, and not the design view it was showing previously. Why is this? what happened?
The only fix I found on this forum was to remove the system directory (should be somewhere like: C:\Documents and Settings\yourUser\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60 ) and let jDev create a new one. But then I have to reconfigure everything again, which can be frustrating.
Can anyone explain what's going on here, and if there's a better way to fix my jDev when this happens?

  • Is design view broken in DW CC 2014.1?

i open an html file to edit it
sometimes DW design view shows the styles in the doc
sometimes DW design view doesn't show the styles in the doc
...if DW happens to be showing the styles, that sometimes lasts for a while and stops.
i don't know if DW is stripping code -- insisting on some new "design principles" advocated by the lovely people who deprecated the center tag -- or if DW design view is just broken -- or what.
    can you fill me in?

Usually what you describe is caused by html errors in your code. Run your page through the validator at http://validator.w3.org and clean up any errors found.
If you're working with clean code and the problem persists, post a link to your page here so we can take a look at what's going on.

  • Design view broken in CS5

In the last week or so, Design view in CS5 has become completely broken for me.
I usually use Code View, but sometimes it's handy to switch to Design view or Split view, which are now always grayed out.
I had installed the HTML 5 pack, not sure if that would cause the issue or not.  I completely removed it, but the other views are still grayed out.

    Long shot:
    -> Dreamweaver menu
    -> Preferences
    -> File Types / Editors
What file types are listed in "Open in Code View"?
I believe file types listed there open with Design & Split View disabled.
Alternatively, try deleting your personal config folder and let DW re-build it.

  • Calendar 'list' view broken?

While the Day and Month views look fine, everything looks out of sync in the List view. A meeting I have scheduled for 7am Tues shows up on Sunday, while a meeting happening 2hrs later is showing up on Monday. Meanwhile, a 6.30pm Tues meeting is correctly showing up on Tuesday. ***...?

    Hi,
I have the same issue since one week ago (iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.0.2).
Only 2 calendars on my Exchange mailbox are synced. Items show correctly on the day and month view, but in list view (which I use most), some of them appear under a wrong date. Annoying !
After restart and/or remove/add of calendars, list view takes a long time to 'load'. switching to day view and the back to list makes it appear (but unfortunately with the same problem).

  • JSF Design View broken? Fallback Rendering, "Render Kit" not found

    Hi,
I just wanted to toy around with JDeveloper 11g TP3, created a new project, added technology scope JSF (+ JSP/Servlets, etc.) then the tag-library ADF Faces Component 11-ji3.
Then I created a data control from a POJO and wanted to visualize this within a JSF page. So I created one (via faces-config visual editor), dragged the appropriate getter-method to the page in the up-to-this-point working WYSIWYG editor, selected ADF-read-only-form and suddenly found myself in the JSF "alternate rendering" (a view like in an hierachical XML editor). I enabled "design time messages in log" to see what the problem was.
Stopping/Starting JDeveloper or removing tag libraries like suggested in other threads did not work. I was unable to reactivate the wysiwyg editor for this page or any new JSF page in this application, always the "alternate rendering".
Log said "oracle.sql.OraData" was missing, so I added ojdbc6.jar to the project classpath. Didn't help, no wysiwyg editor, log now says:

I have this error even for newly created (ie blank/HelloWorld) JSF pages in my application. I started adding some libraries, but nothing helped. How do I reactivate the wysiwyg editor?
    Thanks!

    Frank,
thanks for the reply. I will try what you suggested, but the trinidad-config.xml is actually not missing in my project, although it does not include a render kit definition.
As my first step with 11g I also tried one of the tutorials (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/ejb/ejb.html) and there the wysiwyg was working nicely the whole time.
In both cases (my project == not working wysiwyg editor, tutorial == nicely working wysiwyg editor) the content of the trinidad-config.xml is the same:
    --- trinidad-config.xml ---
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
    <trinidad-config xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/config">
    <skin-family>blafplus-rich</skin-family>

  • Finder Column View Broken when using NAME

    Hi fellow Apple nerds,
I have found a rather frustrating problem in OSX 10.8 Finder.
When I use column view in finder I want to have my columns orgainised so I can see the whole name of the files and folders in each column.
Now this is the problem, when I "arrange" by "kind" the column contents is split into its various kinds of files.  THe problem is if I double click on the column to rezice it, it will only resize to the contents in the first type of files.
Read it carefully, its a little hard to explain but you can try it for yourself.  You cannot get the column to show the whole file names of the other types of files until you return to the "name" arrange view.
I find this very frustrating as I like to have my file sorted into the types and also display the full file names.

I just discovered it only happens with files
on Windows network shares, so I guess it must be
    something to do with that.
Ah, that makes sense. Finder is reading the metadata entries, no problem on the Mac, but they might not even exist on the Windows server. And even they are part of the file, as may be the case with, for instance, EXIF data from the camera and/or Photoshop, the pieces of the Spotlight process that Finder uses isn't reading them on the network share. Spotlight doesn't work well over a network.
Since I don't use networking, I suggest you try posting your request in the Network forum:

  • How to maintain default folder view (broken when leopard clients connect)?

    hi there,
we run 10.4 tiger server and have the problem that if 10.5 leopard clients connect to the share their changes to the folder view become the new default for everyone connecting after them. with 10.4 clients the default folder view is looked to the settings of the admin.
is there a way to bring back this feature with 10.5 clients connecting? lock the default folder view of shares?
this question was asked before by andy lowe (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1571877&tstart=45) but never answered.

It's "show view options" in English. Also obtained by typing CMD+J
Those only apply to the top-level folder. Each folder you open uses whatever you've elected to use as the defaults. Select a folder, CMD+J, set the view as you desire, click on Use as Default button. That setting will be used for all windows that you open in the future that have never been opened previously. All other windows that you opened will retain whatever view you previously selected for them.
If you want to reset everything to one view, close all open Finder windows, launch the Terminal app (/Applications/Utilities/), copy & paste this command into the window that pops up,
    find ./ -name ".DS_Store" -depth -exec rm {} \;
hit the return key, quit the Terminal app, restart, open a Finder window, CMD+J, set up the view options as desired, click the Use as Defaults button, and close the view options window. Now, every Finder window you open will have this view.

  • Keyboard & Character Viewer "broken"

I'm having trouble with the above utility to view and insert special characters when typesetting. Whenever I try and launch the viewer I get a "flashing" window with an activity circle, but it never shows the actual character viewer. It just keeps flashing every five seconds or so and slows down my computer from doing anything else.
I'm also using Linotype's FontExplorer X Pro (2.0.3) and wonder if there's an incompatibility. I've contacted them and they know of no problem.
    thank you.

    HI,
According to this link FontExplorer X Pro supports 10.6.x

  • Several Views Broken

We are seeing some issues with canned (out of the box) views in Project Server 2010 running on SharePoint 2010.
On some, we see it when Planned is checked and on some we see it if Planned is un-checked.
It locks the webpart and we cannot expand to enter or view data.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Stephen
Which SP and CU are you running on your Project Server 2010 instance? I'd suggest to be upgraded with the latest package.
Then can you try with another browser? If you're using IE, try to open IE
    in compatibility mode.
    Hope this helps,

  • Combined code and design view broken

I use Dreamweaver MX 2004 and normally work in the "split"
(code and design) view. I just opened a site to work on it and that
mode does not work - I click on the link in the toolbar, but it
does not take effect. I also cannot make it work from
View-->Code and Design. The individual Code and Design views DO
work so I suspect it's a configuration problem. I checked
Edit->Preferences->Filte Types/Editors, and .html is not
listed in the "open in code view" dialog box. What would cause this
feature to suddenly stop working? I've Googled every conceivable
keyword and phrase to find an answer, without success. Has anyone
    else experienced this behavior?

Never mind - figured it out. Duh, do I feel like a dummy! I
had apparently dragged the bottom border of the code window all the
way down, so the design view was hidden. Sorry!

  • ARD Viewing broken after Snow Leopard upgrade

    Hi all!
Most of our Snow Leopard installs went fine, however, one Mac mini is still being troublesome. It's a Core Duo Mac mini connected via Ethernet. Viewing or Controlling the computer from ARD console gives a black screen. Console.app on the client computer reports that AppleVNCServer crashes (see attached log).

Update: After having to re-explain the entire case because the last guy didn't write anything down, and after having to re-convince the 2nd level support guy that this is in fact a bug, I've got the case escalated to engineering, and they'll come back to me on wednesday next week (I can't, of course, speak directly to the engineer).
The problem presents itself with a fresh install of 10.6 and ARD Client 3.3.1 with a resolution of 1366x768. Symptoms are a black screen in the ARD console, with the text "Connecting…" flashing on the screen. The process AppleVNCServer crashes on the client at this time, see report over.
    I'll keep you all updated!
