Is there any possibility to reassign the existing views for a procurement catalog to a new procurement catalog, as the requirement is to have new procurement catalog id,please advice.

G/L code error in new Procurement Catalog

Dear All,
We are currently using SRM 4.0 version.
Recently we had created a new catalog for a particular plant. The catalog was created sucessfully, also the new product categories were successfully pulled in SRM from R/3. We have also maintained the Call Structure for the catalog. However while shopping for the materials in the new plant, we get an error saying "No G/L account was entered. Enter a G/L account ". On debugging, we found that in the BADI "BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT" , the field item_data-ordered_prod is NOT showing the material number with the leading zeros, due to which a BLANK G/L account is obtained. The necessary valuation class and the G/L code is maintained in the backend system and is the same for all the materials.
This error is happening ONLY for the newly created plant and only in the PRODUCTION client.
Please guide us as to whether there is a customization which we are missing out on or any other suggestions.

You're question is hard to follow. Are you looking to rename your master files to the version name? Or are you looking to do something with IPTC caption field and the masters?

Error message while importing upgraded LR3 catalog to new LR4 catalog

I'm using a Win7 x64 system, 3Ghz Xeon dual core, 8 GB ram system. After upgrading a LR3 catalog to LR4, it would not display all images in GRID VIEW in the upper level folders. i.e. D:/Photos/2011. It will display the images in the 2011 folder but not in the Photos folder. And yes I do have the "Show Photos in SubFolders" selected.
By importing this updated LR4 catalog to a new LR4 catalog the display problem disappears. However, I get an error message at the end of the import saying that "Lightroom could not import this catalog because of an unknown error." This occurs after it says it is importing updated keywords. But, as compared to the LR3 catalog, the new LR4 catalog shows the correct number of images in the catalog, shows the correct number of collections and seems to have all the keywords in the keyword list panel.
Because there seems to be some sort of catalog database upgrade error, I am hesitant to use LR4 for production at this time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this error might be, or a work around for the error so I can be confident in my LR4 catalog?

I've pgraded to LR4.1 RC1 and then created a new catalog, imported from my original LR3 cat. It updated that temporary cat and then imported to the new LR4 cat without issues or error messages. I then just did an upgrade to my original LR3 cat and saved it in another location. Upgrade went without hitch or error messages and I am now using that catalog. So far, so good with the new candidate.

How to view the same tag in several catalogs

Hello everybody,
I had over 35.000 photos in my catalog and after my catalog was damaged I decided to split the photos in several catalogs (2001, 2002, 2003....). My question now is the follwing:
If I have the same tag in all my catalogs (i.e. "Michelle"), is it possible to view the result from all my catalogs or do I only see the photos from Michelle in the actual opened catalog?

You cannot search across catalogs. That is why it is recommended that you not have more than one catalog for related images. Different catalogs by seldom overlapping categories such as Work, Family, Scenic work better than those separated by date. If your catalogs have the same tags they should probably be one catalog.
It is not difficult to split a catalog into two or more catalogs but there is no easy way to merge several catalogs into one.
I suppose you could export all the Michelle photos from each catalog into a new folder and browse that folder in windows to look at them all. Splitting your catalog the way you did limits the effectiveness of Organizer.

Deleting all items in a Procurement Catalog

I loaded a Procurement Catalog with new data via supplier catalog => master catalog => procurement catalog. There were some problems with the original data, however now I loaded it 3 times and many of the items in the Procurement catalog are tripled!
How can I just delete all the items in the Procurement Catalog and republish from the Master catalog? That way the tripled items (and some old corrupted items) will all go away and I can start fresh. We have CCM .

Once you archive than oyu can create new PI document for the same mateirals.

Presently trying to archive material documents through SARA and using object MM_MATBEL. Is this only for inventory maange ment or mat doc generated through process orders can also be archived (transaction type WR).
For variant picking the document on the date basis. But when execute it says no document found while documents are there in the MKPF table.
Further when trying using program RM07MARCNot able to do archive the same.

Second, you can always read the JavaDocs provided on this site.

API documentation is much more informative (often times) than reading the source code itself.
Third, the JDK ships with the source code. You can also get copies of the source code from java.net by enrolling in one of the programs and agreeing to the terms and conditions provided therein.

E recruiting Data Transfer for New Employee

          We are implementing E-recruitment 3.0, Ecc 6.0 and E recruitment system are in the same system, we processing internal recruitment currently, here i can receive the internal applications, we can able to view and process the applications in recruiter role. Here i can execute the sequence of activities for application process group for received applications, we not integrated any XI systems for e recruitment process.
         After processing the activity to be hired, the next activity is Data transfer for new employee, this is also executed successfully for data transfer of employee positions, job, org unit details etc.
       1. whether transferred data of applicant is processed via transaction PA48(Hiring of transferred employees)for internal recruitment in R/3 HR system, after the data transfer activity in E recruitment portal screen ?
       2. is any other roles and application url available for Hiring internal candidate which could be done in portal E recruitment screen itself with out coming to R/3 HR transactions side ? with out going into PA48 for hiring.
      3. any specific roles we have assign for recruiter ?
      4. any process carried out in Managerial self service?(according to me MSS is different instance to process recruitment process for internal and external recruitment for Vacancy filling) please correct me my vision on MSS.

If you are selecting the internal candidate , you need not hire the employee again using PA48. You can trigger transfer / change in position workflow using PCR form.

I dont think we have any specific action from eRecruitment side to run the hiring action.This needs to be done from R/3 only.

If its intergrated portal with the Requestor role attached in the manager profile , they will be able to carry out both internal and external candidates selection. I dont think you would require different instance.
We can also wait for someother inputs from forum gurus.

CCM - need advise on procurement catalog

Hi,
I'm in the process of creating catalog using CCM for different legal entities. As I undrestand, I can either creating various master catalog views or different procurement catalogs so that I can control users only see the content belongs to his/her own legal entity. But I'm not sure what is the best way.
Can somebody help to advise which one is better, creating different master catalog view or creating procurement catalogs? Or is there any other good solutions?

Thanks so much for your answer. It proved some of my thoughts. But my case is not that simple.
First of all, item price might not be same, but it should be able to be separated by different suppplier number;
Second, some companies will use same category structure but a few may use a different one. But as I see, most of structure should be very similar. In this case, is it a better idea to use one master catalog and multiple views? Or, can I use procurement catalog for a few companies but others use different master catalog views?
And I have two more questions:
1. After a catalog is created, can catalog ID be changed? Our master catalog ID is not very proper, so I am wondering whether I can change it.
2. For category structure, can one product category show under multiple parent categories? If yes, how to realize it?

How can i transfer my new purchased itunes apps to my itunes library

actually having several problems, installed itunes on a new computer, have transfered/sync all of my existing ipod touch apps/music successfully. I purchased new apps and a movie, but they do not appear on my itunes library, how can i transfer these new purchases, to my new itunes library on the new computer, so they can be synced to my ipod touch. also, my computer is online and my ipod is online, but when i connect the ipod touch to my computer, and i try to update the software update, it says it cant because its not connected to the internet?...any info on either of these topics. thanks

as already mentioned, use File->transfer purchases to copy your apps and bought media to your computer, or right click on the device in the device list and choose "transfer purchases"

Code works on new form not on older form

Hi
I am trying to change an existing form (add some code). I tested the code in a new form I create on my computer but when I do the same on a form supplied and created on a different computer the code won't work
What I see is that the form properties of a new form on my computer give Version 9.xxx and on the form that was created on the other computer the Version is listed as 8.xx
Anyone know how I can convert the Version 8.xx file to a Version 9.xx?
Or someone know how to set a EnclosedOption group from optional to required in Version 8? In version 9 I use Gender.validate.nullTest="error" or Gender.validate.nullTest="disabled" but this doesn't work on the old Version 8.xx PDF File.
Help greatly appreciated!

Two more questions if i may.
In the Dynamic version that you sent me we ended up with the entire ExclusionGroup with a large red box around it where in the static each option used to have the Red instead. And it seems to be a very thick red box.
1) Is there anyway to control the width of the Red Box?
2)I switched the version that you sent me back to "Static" and then in the verification options added "color fields" and this gives us the functionality that we originally wanted.
The challenge with this solution is that the "page # of ##" on the master page doesn't render.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
