View for music on itunes

I found an album that I have been looking for on itunes. I wish to buy this album, but itunes dos not give an option to but the whole album. Instead there is a tab with the word "view" on it. When I click the tab, A list of all of the tracks comes up of which I can purchase each track for .99. This doesn't make sense to me. If all of the tracks are available, why can't I purcahse it as an album? The album in question is Jesus Christ Superstar- 1970 orginal recording.

Hmm, this does seem a little odd. I can find it in the UK store here:
http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/jesus-christ-superstar-rock/id216867465
where the 23 tracks are available for an "album" price.
In US store the best I can find is this:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/jesus-christ-superstar-original/id7302477
Which lists 22 tracks as a "Partial Album" but with no way to purchase it, only a list of individual tracks that would cost around twice as much to buy as the album normally would.

  • No tick box for music in iTunes preferences for setting up iCloud

Ok I'm new to icloud and now want to set up my mac itunes library for another device. When I follow the oinstructions on how to set up icloud I get stuck on step 3 i.e. the step where you're suppose to open itunes - preferences - store and then check music, apps and books. I can only check two boxes (books and apps) and no box for music appears. What am i doing wrong or what setting needs changed?

There is a problem and apple is working on it. I am having the same issue. So frustrating!

  • Search computer files for music with itune?

I understand during the initial launch of the itunes application you have the option to search your computer for valid music files to be put in your itunes library, but how do I do this after I have been using itunes for a while?
WMP has a simple feature for this but itunes does not?
This is where I get confused, can anyone tell me of a way to scan my computer for music files that can be put in my library so I dont have to swim through all my folders?

You simply do by adding folders to itunes music libray
Go to file add folders one artist at a time or import your all folders by simply selecting my music click ok & it will add all your music folders to your itunes library

  • Can I set a time for music in iTunes to stop

I use an iPad to play my music to an Airplay speaker. I sometimes use the playlist on my iPad and if I want to increase my listening pleasure I would use Remote to play from my entire libray on the iMac.
I've looked but can't seem to find any way of setting a timer for playback. I listen to music at night and rather than have it play the entire night. Dose anyone know of a a utility/app for atimer setting in iTunes?
I believe Apple sould consider this feature for a future addition to iTunes.
    Thanks,
    HJKeats

It is not yet a built-in feature, but there are quite a few sleep timers around.
    For example:
    http://en.softonic.com/s/sleep-timer:mac
I have not tried them, however

  • Can't find the tic-off for music in iTunes (only books and apps), Whats wrong?

I run on PC with Vista

That doesn't make sense Otto, it found the other
artist's rendition. (edit: "take on me" by amber g,
I tried the same search Philip L tried)
    The database isn't correct.
No, you missed my point. That search turned up a lot of hits. The fact that it's an exact match for the name doesn't matter, it's probably trying to find the most relevant results, where "relevant" is not defined as "exact matches".
The database is correct, as "take on me a-ha" clearly turns up the right results. But "take on me" is rather vague, all those words are commonplace terms.

  • Can I Pod Touch (1st gen) be used as a remote control for music in Itunes?

Can it somehow show my library?
I heard there are some 3rd party apps that could help with this.
    thanks

There is a free application called Remote available in the iTunes App Store which connects with your computer's iTunes library via WiFi. You need to upgrade to software version 2.0 or higher to install apps. http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/softwareupdate.html

  • I'd like to view my music in itunes 11 by both genre and kind but am allowed only one choice-how do I sort by both?

Is there a command or option key to allow sort by multiple columns?
    Thank you,
    Scott

Please try the action I supplied in my post.
If you untick the search Entire library
Then type in your search term it will give the list of songs in the main window

  • ITunes 9: Can I have different views for different libraries?

In iTunes 8 I was able to have different views for viewing different libraries. For example, I had my music library in Grid view and my podcast library in list view. When I change between the two libraries in iTunes 9 the view does not automatically change. It stays how the previous library was viewed. Is there a setting I am missing to allow me to keep a grid view for music and a list view for podcasts? Thank you.

Thats really odd. I've used iTunes 9 on two different systems and both act like iTunes 8 did as far as maintaining library specific view settings.
Is this also happening with playlists?

In VIEWING (to print) my iTunes music (in finder), how can i view subfolders without clicking on the  triangle of each main folder?
I am trying to print a list of all my music. For example, main folder is BEATLES.  Subfolders are Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, etc...
and I want to view and print all the subfolders. This is a recovery project after my hard drive failed. I know this is truly a "finder" question and will double post there.
    Thanks.

  • How to view my music in list view in iTunes 11?

I am largely unimpressed with the new-look iTunes11. Before, I could very quickly scroll through my large music library in list view, but scrolling through the library is very sluggish, as iTunes has to wait for all of the album art to load.
There is a list view option for the movies, but not for music. Am I missing it somewhere?

I know how to view the sidebar. But I'm talking about viewing my songs, artists, etc. in LIST view, i.e. without the album art showing.
The LIST view is available for movies in the sort options at the top of the window, but not in the music section.
EDIT: I figured it out! By clicking on the "SONGS" sort option, then arranging by artist, it is like viewing the music library in list view.

  • HT1351 I have a Ipod Nano 5th edition and I can no longer sync, add or view my previously recorded music to itunes or windows. What can I do?

I have a Ipod Nano 5th edition. 2 years ago I imported and exported my music files to my Windows 7 laptop and also to Itunes. It worked great. Recently I've tried to do the same and now I can't do either. When I plug in my ipod it is discoverable but I cannot view my music at all. I tried to sync new music I burned from CD's to the ipod, I keep getting a message that the music is already on it but it's not. It's updated, settings I believe are set correct and troubleshooting it, it reports no problems.  I don't know what else to do. Need Help!  Thank you in advance.

    Hey 9Cre114,
I would try out restoring your iPod nano, that might resolve the issue. Restoring erases the iPod's disk and restores iPod to its original factory condition. You can read about how to do so here:
Warning: Because restoring erases all the songs and files on iPod, back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your iTunes Library. If you use the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, see this document for more information.
    How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.
