View found missing after U driver patch

Hi All,
I applied on match on 2-3 instance and after that I found view MRP_AP_ONHAND_SUPPLIES_V missing from DB. We applied this patch on 2-3 instances and found that missing on all the instances. This patch is big and I tried to find the DROP VIEW command using "grep -i" but not possible.
Please let me know that how can I confirm that this patch has DROP the respective view.

ILife suite missing after hard drive issues

I recently had an issue with my hard drive which required it to be wiped, with a reinstallation from an external hard drive. I went to a Genius Bar and they explained that Time Machine had failed to backup my applications, and said that while they'd be able to recover my files and music, 3rd parties apps would not be recovered. This is fine, as I can deal with those seperately. What I wasn't expecting was my iLife applications to be missing. I have trawled the support communites where they have advised to redownload the apps from the App Store, but they do not appear there. I managed to find an old iLife '08 disc and installed this in the hope that it would be fixed by Software Update, but when I open iPhoto now it says "You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto". Can anyone help me?

Move your iPhoto Library out of your Pictures folder to a regular external drive and delete the origianl.
Start iPhoto and it will create a new iPhoto Library in Pictures.
Upgrade iPhoto and quit, replace the empty iPhoto Library with the one from the external drive.
Start iPhoto.
If you have issues, you can hold option key down while starting iPhoto to select other iPhoto Libraries, also you can right click on the iPhoto Library and "show package contents" inside is a folder called originals or masters with your original files you can copy out and reimport into the new iPhoto Library.

Lightroom Files missing after new drive added

I recently filled up my old hard drive(F:) so I went out and bought a new and larger one. Without realizing it the new one was now the F drive and my old one is now the H drive. But Lightroom can not find all of my files in my old drive and I think it is because it is now located on the H drive. I don't want to loose the new photos I put on the new drive (now the F drive). What can I do? If I re-import the old drive will it recognize all my old files?

Do not re-import. If you do so, you'll lose all your work on those files.
In the Folders panel in Lightroom, right-click on the highest-level folder and choose Find missing folder from the context menu. In the dialogue box that comes up, navigate to that folder on your H: drive and select it. All the images in that folder and all its children, grand-children, etc. will be reconnected with your Lightroom catalogue. If you have more than one top-level folder, repeat with the others.

ILife Apps - iPhoto missing after Hard drive wipe.

I have a MacBook Pro Spring 2010. When I bought it, I had all of the iLife apps preinstalled. When OS X Mavericks came out, I upgraded. I ran out of space, so I wiped the hard drive after backing up my important files to a hardrive. To get my iLife apps back, I used the CD, i got them all back except iPhoto. How do I get iPhoto back?

Run the software update to upgrade to the latest compatible version for Mavericks.

It keeps old and new versions in your App folder. So drag the new icon down to the Dock if need be.

View, dm_os_volume_stats, missing after Service Pack 2 install

I installed Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition. No errors were encountered. However I expected to find a new view called, dm_os_volume_stats. I do not see this view. I have patched 4 instances and none of those
instances have this view. Please advise.

Have you verified the @@VERSION on all these servers? Do you have VIEW SERVER STATE permission?

OBDC Data Source Error - Data source name not found and no default driver specified

I get this error whenever I try to use the "Modify Microsoft Access Database" tab to update my
Access 2000 database after a conversion:
Unable to connect to target database.
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager]
Data source name not found and no default driver specified
Now, the weird thing is that when I log in as Administrator and go to the "Control Panel" there is
no "ODBC Data Sources" option to chose from. So I went to the "Microsoft ODBC Administrator"
from the "Configuration and Migration Tools" tab instead. I tried configuring "omwb_msaccess"
under the "User DSN" tab with both the name of my Access file, and the "small.mdb" file that was
in the omb directory. No go for either one. Whatever I try I still get the same pop-up box.
Question:
(1) What should I be putting for the "ODBC Data Source" when I try to Migrate my Access Database?
(2) Any other idea/configuration issue I might be missing that could do this? The process works up
to the Access Update point, and I configured the repository correctly.

Nope, I'd already tried both of those things. I checked again, but no go.
I think the problem may be that I'm not entering the right value in the
"ODBC Data Source" field on the Migration Workbench "Modify Microsoft
Access Database" form - the same one where you enter a "Username" and
"Password" for the conversion. What should I be entering here? What is
the standard filename?

Notebook shows BOOTMGR missing after running return system to factory condition

I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment notebook Model #dv7 3163cl. First I need to say I am a beginner user. My problem started with a low battery issue. Then using recovery mgr. I first ran back up disks and then attempted system restore. During which it shut off. When I tried to restart it it originally said something about starting like new from factory. Then said unable to load windows program. I contacted hp and tech had me purchase a 1 year phone support plan. Then had me go th the recovery manager and select restore to factory image. During which it gave this message. Recovery Manager could not restore computer using the fzctory image. Please contact HP support. Error code 0xe0ef0003. He said that meant I need a new hard drive. Now when I turn it on it says BOOTMGR Missing. Use ctrl apt Del to start but that does not work. It does nothing. Could the tech be right? Is there a way I can check my disk first? Or another way to tell? It wasn't the original problem so I'm not confident in his determination. Should I be?

Immediately after powering on tap the Esc key. This should bring up a menu of which F2 is what you want to choose. Use Diagnostics to test your hard drive.

Prex -k panic after my driver has been loaded

I'm developing a pseudo-driver on Solaris 7:
SunOS swucp191 5.7 Generic_106541-10 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
I can use add_drv and use the driver just fine. If I happen to issue:
prex -k
to start a kernel tnf trace, my box panics. My driver is not invoked at the time prex runs. It does not reference any tnf symbols either ("nm <module> | grep tnf"). I suspect prex is re-checking a list of probe symbols declared by modules in the kernel and dmesg says:
BAD TRAP occurred in module "tnf" due to a NULL pointer dereference
I did a search on this site and found a similar problem mentioned at

That last one there - 4248639 - sounds like my problem. Hopefully my driver messed something up just like the "ifp" module did. Can anybody tell me what the code change for "ifp" was that fixed this problem?

I've learned that there is a Solaris 7 bug that causes this panic. I've tested my driver on Solaris 8 (bug fixed) and no panic occurs.

Creating DB links after applying ADX patch 3453499

I installed ADX patch 3453499 in an attempt to resolve an oraInventory issue on the dbTier when cloning. Part of our clone process involves creating DB links. After installing the patch, when I create the link, the domain is being automatically appended to the end of the link name. Example:
create public database link PRISM connect to PRISM identified by PRISM using 'prsmt13';
SQL> select owner db_link from dba_db_links;
OWNER DB_LINK
PUBLIC PRISM.USDA.GOV
I have LOTS of code accessing the link the previous way, without the domain name. The link does not work without specifying it.
I logged a TAR and Oracle's response has pretty much been "it's a new standard, deal with it" and is not offering any resolution other than change the code. This is the stated standard going forward.
Any thoughts I can implement this patch with a workaround that does not require code changes?

so i just copy the missing entries from my MFG server to HLC server since they are both in same condition.
now i am wondering why do the support package miss to enter the rows in TRMAC table >.<

404 Not Found Error after 5.2 SP04 Patch04 deployment

Hi,
Today I did an installation and deployment of the 5.2 SP04 Patch 04 to one of our standalone
SAP ME Application Servers. The installation and deployment worked without any error.
However afterwards I could not login to SAP ME on the patched server.
I get a 404 Not found error page after entering my site, login and password. The page I am being redirected
to is http://<appserver>:50000/manufacturing/j_security_check?VALIDATE=true
The real funny thing started right after when I discovered that my other SAP ME Application Server (Which has
not been patched and is on 5.2 SP04 Patch03) started showing the same error message.
Anybody has an idea on what is going on?

Yes both my SAP ME Database servers (WIP and ODS) are up and running.
After restaring my patched server this morning I found that before I get the 404 error during login I get a
message saying License file corrupted 11904.
On my other application server I don't get license file corrupted. There I get the 404 error but when I try to login again right after I am already logged in to SAP ME and can run the application.

Windows 7 Installation problem: "no drives were found, click to load driver to provide a mass storage driver..."

I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop (U945-S4140) that came with windows 8. I am trying to install windows 7 enterprise 64 bit.
I have the installation file on a bootable USB stick. In order to boot from the USB, I have to go into the BIOS settings and change from UEFI to CSM boot mode. Then the computer will boot from the usb stick and the windows 7 installation begins to work fine.
However, I soon get an error message that "no drives were found. click to load driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation."
I cannot figure out how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked through the error logs that could be generated from the tool and found this one which may be what you experienced. Kindly let me know if this is what you got:
"Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to make the USB device bootable. If you need assistance with bootsect, please click the "Online Help" link above for more information."
Some further information is that I found this post where another user experienced the same error on a laptop, although the speculation mentioned in the post is that the user does not have a Windows store account under which he purchased the license for Windows
7 Home Premium, which is the flavor he was trying to get on the bootable drive. However, this does not seem to be a valid response due to the fact that the tool does not check Windows XAuthCert Servers for validation on licensing. So ignore that
portion of the post, but the 2nd post helps a bit by linking to another article, providing both below.

In that first post, further down, is another reply to a tool that I have not tested with. So please use caution on this one as I cannot find very much feedback other than on their own website, but sounds much like the first tool I mentioned in my first
post "Unetbootin", but this one is called Rufus, and two people did mention they had good success with this tool after having difficulties with the Windows utility.

After all that is said and done, there is not 1 tool that will work for everyone all of the time on every environment. Why? I would like to know also...but speculate hardware/firmware/bios combinations could be the culprit. One of these
tools should work for you and it would be my recommendation to try them in this order (skipping what you've already tried):
1) Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool
2) Unetbootin
3) Manually creating the partition and xcopy'ing the extracted ISO to it
4) Rufus
5) Borrow a PC with a DVD-R in it and burn the ISO to a disc and install from it. If your laptop does not have a DVD drive, an external drive can be purchased for roughly $25 or less. Or if you have an internal drive laying around, buy an enclosure
for about $15 and put the drive inside there and attach it to your laptop via USB or eSATA.
As always, my advice is nothing more than my opinion, which are like bungholes...everyone has one and they all stink! LOL!
