View Individual Device Data Usage on Shared Plan

Hello, I was recently given a smart phone on my employer's plan (I previously had a regular phone, so did not incur data usage charges). I can view the overall plan's data usage on my phone, using the Verizon app, but I can't see where to view my individual device's data use. I created a Verizon account here on the web, and using the online tools here I can see my individual use, but I would like to do so on my phone.
I can use my phone's settings to see what it says my data use is (which just about matches what Verizon says) but I would rather have the Verizon totals shown on my phone, just to be sure what the actual data being billed is.

I know keeping tabs on your data usage is important Felderburg. If you are a user on a company account, you may not have the full access to My Verizon Mobile. You would typically be able to see the individual line usage by clicking the "shared data" option under the usage estimate total. I'm pleased you have been able to gain this information online via your computer. As an additional option on the phone if you don't have full access, you can dial #DATA.

Is it possible to view wireless user data usage through Time Capsule

I am currently running my Time Capsule connected to my internet router to provide wireless internet access to my household.
We have 5 members in the family, all with their own wireless devices (1x iMac, 2x MCP's, 2x iPhone 4's, 1x iPhone 3g, and 2x iPod Touch's).
Have recently found that our internet usage is going through the roof, and need a way to view actual data usage and time by MAC address to ascertain who the data culprit is.
Is there any that this can be done through the AirPort Utility on the TC?

Data usage and 2gig plan- enough?

I missed out that they dropped the unlimited plan (I am still deciding on to buy and iPad or not).
Much of the time I think the WiFi will be find, but can certainly see where the 3G would enhance the usability of the unit.
How long before the 2Gig is used up?
I've heard the 250meg is almost not worth it, since it gets used up very rapidly.
Seems the 2Gig may be not that far from it?

How long till a certain amount is used up all depends on how you use your iPad. People on here have told me that I "Dont use the iPad the way its suposed to be used".
Because I don't download apps on 3G, have notifications turned on or stream audio or video while away from wi-fi. Mostly because I only utilize 3G while at the office where I am not searching for that new game on the app store, or listening to internet radio. (I either have the work machine or my iPhone for internet radio.)
I have the 250Mb plan and have Mb's left over every thirty days. I just use a browser that lets me turn off images (saves >65% of web page download Mb's) and reserve any high MB usage for wi-fi. I have found that I don't even think about saving Mb's now, I just don't use that much.
Again this is just how we use it, others that use it as they do their iPhone will definately have problems with 2Gb, much less 250Mb.

Is there a way to view the overall data usage for a period of time with the WRT1900AC? For example, I would like to see how much data I've used (up and/or down) for this month.

Ios8 email data usage

I installed iOS 8 on Friday 19th and within hours had depleted my Cellular Data limit. I then added a 250GB data pack which was GONE after a day. I note on my battery usage that my email (background activity) is responsible for 66% of my power usage and even after setting all emails to FETCH I have used 67MB in 1 day on emails, all while being within range of of my household wireless network.
Apple - your iOS 8 is costing me dollars. Please address this as soon as possible. I normally use about 500MB a month and now Im using that every few days. I use a Mophie for peace of mind but now Im using it to get through the morning.

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the device is using more cellular data than expected. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Adjust and view data usage
Some apps from the App Store use the Apple Push Notification service to alert you of new data. Apps that rely extensively on push notifications (such as instant messaging or social media apps) will consume cellular data. To disable push notifications, go to Settings > Notifications and set Notifications to off.
You can also enable or disable cellular data for certain iOS apps and features from this setting.
Choose Settings > Cellular to view the cellular data usage for each app. Tap to turn off cellular data for an app.

Multiple Device Data Plans. When?

When is Verizon going step up and offer data plans that can support and be shared across multiple devices? It's tiring and gets expensive to have a separate contract for each device. I feel like this needs to happen sooner rather than later given the average customer is soon to have more than one device, if they don't already.

As for monitoring my data usage, my phone is on the 150 Meg plan, not the 2 Gig one. My broadband card is on the 250 Meg plan. Both terrible value for dollar compared to higher priced data buckets, but because of wi-fi, I can manage, at the price points I find affordable. But again, the poor economical value for what they cost is specifically taylorred to fascilitate the cattle drive. And this I feel is unethical.
But more to the point of the thread, sharing both phone and netbook between one 5 gig data plan would be very nice, and I, like the OP, would very much like to see such plans implemented ASAP.

Error Report: No Data Usage Alerts for 250 MB Plan - June 2014

Hi, this post will report a data usage alert error for June 2014.
I previously signed up for data usage alerts when 50%, 75%, and 90% of my data is used. On June 10, at 11:00 PM, I discovered through my Verizon Wireless account that over 250 MB of data had already been used (my plan contains 250 MB). I did not receive any usage alerts prior to this time. I immediately upgraded to the 500 MB plan to avoid overage charges.
If the data usage alerts had worked properly, I would not have faced the upgrade fee or overage charges. Would it be possible to cancel the additional charges that arose this month because the data usage alerts did not work properly?

Are you serious!!! Look at all of the calls on this matter in your records and fix it. I am sure at this point that it is another Verizon scam to solicite millions of dollars from it's customers only to have yet another class action lawsuit filed so the lawyers can get rich and the customers screwed.

What?? You asked how to get all your music on your phone at once rather than downloading it to your phone from iCloud.
Go to your purchased list in iTunes and download all your music to your iTunes library, as explained in the linked article. Then sync it all to your phone using iTunes you're done. The music will be stored locally on your phone and you won't have to download it again in the future.

I am definately having the same problem and cannot believe there are no answers or even support that this problem exists. I never have to post on forumns, I read what is usually readilly availiable for the craziest of problems.
Anyways, the problem is just that, I can toggle off a individual app's setting of cellular data availability, but it changes right back on rescreening. After restarting, resetting etc, it seems that the big Apple Apps are the biggest offenders. Music is a very important one, Podcasts can kill you very quickly, app store, Photos, Facetime, Stocks?!?!?!
When one searches for solutions I have to see hundreds of links to "How great is ios7, you can turn off cellular data for individual apps FOR DUMMIES!". I am a dedicated apple fool since the Apple IIe (long time), but when they run afowl it is usually really bad. Why offer an on/off switch if the setting is always on?
I am writing just to add support to the existence of this problem, not so much for people to offer ideas of solutions as I now believe it is in the coding.

How to view data usage on Centro

Hello, I have a new Palm Centro on AT&T. I need to view how much total data I have used, but I cannot for the life of me find a usage counter in the Palm OS. Is there a counter, or any way to view this information?

There is a link to access "My Minutes" from the shortcuts screen for an AT&T Centro, but you're right - no link for Data usage.
I've always been able to view this from AT&T's webpage for my account though - you may be able to view it using Blazer and logging into your account.

Data usage is only available for the past 90 days:
On the left-hand side of the My Verizon page, click View Bill.
Use the drop-down to select the appropriate bill.
Click the Calls/Messages/Data tab.
Use the drop-down to select the appropriate line (if applicable).
Click the blue Data button.
There's also a blue Download to Spreadsheet button below the data logs.

Data usage of my cellular plan for my i phone 5

I would like to know how i can setup my i phone 5 to display the data usage of my cellular plan.

There are two methods that I know of. 1) Put a reminder on your calendar to repeat each month on the day that your monthly cellular plan ends and then go to Settings > Cellular and scroll to the bottom and "Reset Statistics." If you do that, Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Usage > Current Period will show your data usage in close alignment to your cellular plan. 2) Download an app from your cellular provider if they offer one.

Do you have Wifi at home? Do you do a lot of social media, internet surfing, video etc? Go to settings/data usage/ and scroll up to see what is consuming your data. You can restrict any of these apps from data usage by selecting one, then scrolling up and checking "restrict background data" for each app you wish to limit. Ones restricted will still function on wifi if available. Data can be restored to any app by unchecking a checked box. That's a start.
I keep my S5's data turned off unless I have a particula need when not near wifi. This month I'm near mid way through my billing period and have consumed around 29MB. Not as much fun for sure but much easier on the wallet. Caution, public wifi is likely not a secure connection.
You also can set alert and limit levels for data use by your phone on the Data Usage screen of your phone.

Can't find data usage for last 6 months in Analyze My Plan

I have accounts with Spring and Verizon. On the Sprint account page, I can easily see my data usage for the last 12 months, both on system data and roaming data (I have been notified of exceeding the monthly roaming data cap).
On the My Verizon website, I can see the last 6-months of Overview billing, but when I click on the data usage, it says there is no data available.
Where can I see the last 12 months of my data usage for my MiFi device?

Your bills which are available for 18 months show the total usage amount for the billing cycle of each bill.
