View iWeb templates full size?

Is there any way to browse through the iWeb templates that come with the app, at a bigger size so I can actually tell what they are like? At present I am having to make a new site, select a template and a page type from that template, all in order to view the template larger.

found it myself---in case others have this question, check at

HOW CAN I VIEW THE PHOTOS FULL SIZE,I click on view slide show but only stay in that mode for 5 seconds

    Hi Sandy,
The slideshow in Starter Edition has very basic functionality. To be able to create a slideshow with music and other advanced options, you would need to use Photoshop Elements Software.

  • "Some photos need to be prepared to view them at full size" message when starting slideshow

I'm pretty new to iPhoto so I'm sorry if these questions are obvious to you, but they're not to me!
From the "Photos" section on iPhoto, with no photos selected, I accidentally started a slideshow with all my photos by pressing the play button on the keyboard and got this message:
"Some photos need to be prepared to view them at full size. Do you want to continue using the current size or prepare the photos so that only full size images are used? This may take some time." With these options: Cancel / Prepare Photos / Continue Playback.
I pressed "Esc" on the keyboard and it clicked "Prepare Photos" instead of "Cancel" as I expected, it started the process and I clicked "Cancel" to stop it, and the slideshow started. When the slideshow was playing, everything froze, I pressed cmd-alt-esc, no window appeared and iPhoto quit immediately. Could it have caused damages to the library? Could it be a reason to restore the iPhoto Library from Time Machine? I didn't get any error message when I reopened iPhoto.
Not to leave the process incomplete later I decided to start another slideshow and this time I clicked "Prepare Photos" and let it complete the process. Now when I start another slideshow I don't get that message anymore.
I have no idea what this process did to my photos and couldn't find an answer anywhere. This library is very important to me, so I'm wondering if I should restore the iPhoto Library from a Time Machine backup.
Could canceling the process the first time have caused any damage to my photos?
What is this preparation? What did it do to my photos? Have my photos been resized, or somehow modified?
    Thanks

Ok, thank you very much. I still don't know exactly what the "preparation" did to my photos but now I guess that nothing bad happened. Thanks

  • View clips at full size?

Is there a way to view clips at full size?
I know I can view at 100% in the Viewer but, without resizing the Viewer, I only see a cropped view.
I know I can view full screen, but then I'm seeing something larger than my 1920x1080 soure file, (with interpolated pixels?)
I just want to see the clips at 100%, from edge to edge, when evaluating them during editing.
Am I missing something obvious (not the first time!) or is this not (easily) possible with a single monitor?
    --Darin

    Hey Russ H,
I see the full screen button and the percentage drop down--but as you can see from the little box on the right side of your screen grab you are only seeing a cropped version of the full image. Clicking the full screen button on the bottom (your lower arrow) enlarges to full screen, which is larger than actual pixels on my iMac.
What I'm trying to see is a 1920x1080 pixel image from my 1920x1080 clip.
The cropped image (simply zooming) makes it hard for me to evaluate the overall image in terms of sharpness, for example. The full screen image is adding pixels and is giving a softer look than what is actually in the file.
Not the end of the world. I can choose "100%" and drag the little red box around to get an impressionistic sense of the clip. I can also export the clip and play it in Quicktime to see it in actual pixels. I just figured there must be a way to do it within Final Cut X--but maybe the idea is that I should buy a second monitor.

  • How do I view my screen full size

I'm wondering how I can get my application windows (such as safari) to display full-screen without having to manually re-size by dragging the bottom corner?

Add this to your Safari Bookmarks:
    javascript:self.moveTo(0,0);self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);
Give the bookmark a name such as "Supersize window", with the text above in the right column. If you put the bookmark in the "Bookmarks Bar" menu, you have automatically a hotkey for the bookmark. Cmd-1 is the first bookmark, etc. This is a fast and easy way to supersize your Safari window.

  • Can't view images at full size

I am a new Mac user and for some reason when trying to view jpg's with IPhoto the screne pops up but it does not have the image there. I can see them in the previewer but get an empty pop up window. I am using a Mac Pro 2.46 processors and 12gig of ram.

and recently did something to the folders so that I can no longer see the photos fulol size.
It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss
Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library Folder allowing it to overwrite the damaged file. If not, then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same film rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library Folder to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual rolls to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • When I try to view the pictures full size it won't go from picture to picture then it locks up.

My iphoto keeps locking up.  When I view pictures and double click on them to see them larger it just freezes up and I can't do anything else.  I have to quit iPhoto altogether and start over.

    1. You'll need a lot more free space than 12 gigs.
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on. Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially. Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do. Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
    2.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Some photos need to be prepared to view them at full size

What does this mean?  I had never seen this warning before a few days or weeks ago.  It is showing up when I open my most-used library, the one I sync to iOS devices and use for my desktop wallpaper.  The images are all already size to 1400  x 900 pixels when I prepare them for this use in photoshop--the dimensions of my MBP screen.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • When clicking on images my imac takes me straight to the website the image is from insted of giving me the option to open the image in full size, what should I do to stop this?

I have encountered an irritating problem in which my computer takes me straight to the image the website is from rather than give me the option to view it in full size. How can I prevent this from happening?

When I do a search for an image in Google I click on a picture and see something like below:
And then I click on the View Image button to see the picture in a new tab. That's been Google's normal behavior for quite a while.

  • How to use full size photos in iWeb?

I'm trying to create a web site with photos I've taken, and I want the *full size* photos (1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, etc.) to open when a thumbnail is clicked. The whole point is to publish desktop pictures. iWeb seems intent on downsizing my pictures no matter what I've tried, which is getting very frustrating, and makes them useless for desktop pictures. How do I get iWeb to stop messing with my photos and just do what it's told to do?
    TiBook 667   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    TiBook 667   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I think I understand what you are trying to do. Perhaps what you could do is to basically have a page with thumbnails of your desktop pictures. Maybe you shouldn't use the readymade photo gallery templates in iWeb...they will just have the whole downsized slideshow as you have seen already. Just choose a relatively blank template page like Movie and delete the movie placeholder. Then make your desktop picture thumbnails. And then maybe you will have several different resolutions of each picture, so you make links under each thumbnail so that when they are clicked they will download the appropriate picture file. I think you just use the "Link to file" option in the Inspector panel. Good luck!

  • HT2946 Photoshop edits not showing up in Aperture full size image view

I see that my issue has actually been somewhat addressed in #9 of this article, however no matter how long I wait, the edits I make in PS simply do not show up in Aperture.  The edits are visible in the thumbnail view, but disappear in full size view. The really strange thing is that this is a completely brand new issue. Literally just started about a week ago. So I'm guessing possibly I have inadvertantly changed a setting or something, but for the life of me, I cannot find anywhere to adjust it. Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks!!

Aperture 3.2.3 has a bug at this time.
If you are running that version of Aperture, you may be experiencing the issue outlined here:

  • How to show full size images from a thumbnail view?

    Hi,
I am trying to setup a simple portfolio of projects. I have a series of 4 screen dumps of some web work I did, and they have to be greatly reduced in size so they can all fit on one page. I'd like to be able to have the user click on any of the 4 screen shots (imported png files) and then see a full size image. I know how to do this basically in plain html, but uncertain how to set this up with iWeb. Do I need to create 4 new pages with the full size images on them? Or is there an easier way.
    thx

The method described on this demo page is one way you can accomplish what you want: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window.
Another method can be seen here: Fancy Zoom.
There are a number of flash based slideshows that might do what you want. Check out these:

  • Problems with viewing full-size images on Google...

When I search in images, and click "see full-size image", sometimes the file will be downloaded to my hard drive as a JPG, and then Preview opens up to view it. This never used to happen...the image would always just show up on a new page in the browser.
Does anyone know what's going on?
