View korean language in english

Hi,
I am working in oracle9i. My database server is in korea. I am accessing the server using PL/SQL Developer. some of my tables data is in korean character set.
If i fire a select query means its display the rows. but some of the values are in korean characters.
How to view the character in English .

What, exactly, would it mean to view Korean data in English? In general, there is no one-to-one mapping from a Korean character to an English character. And there is certainly no generic mapping between a word in Korean and a word in English that Oracle could provide.
If what you're looking for is a way to translate some Korean data into English, you'd probably have to hire human translators and store both the Korean and the English data in the database. Depending on the data and the translation quality you require, you may be able to purchase a third party piece of translation software that would replace the human translators. But you'd still likely end up storing both the Korean and English data in the database.

First of all, uninstall it with the uninstaller.
Then:
Install the ENGLISH version.
Change the language in the CC app to Korean.
Install the Korean version. (DON't uninstall the English version)
Change back the langauge in the CC app to English.
When your OS is running in English, InDesign will run in English with Korean functionality added, if your OS is running in Korean it will take the Korean User Interface, so let your OS run in English.
Every installer language will add needed plugins for the work with that language. E.g. If I install Hebrew, I get RTL functionality in German version, only if I would change the OS language it would change the language of InDesign, InDesign takes always as UI language the language of the OS if available, if not (in your case you have uninstalled English before), it takes any version which is available in the order of languages specified in the OS.
If you need to run your program in a different language than the OS but you have installed it in the language of the OS it becomes more difficult. You would have to use some system tools which are able to force a program to open with a different language. Most of those tools are freeware.

Text element created in English language not showing in Korean language

I have created a text element when my sy-langu is En but when I logged in again using KO language,,, the element I creted is not showing...
Why is this happening? or is there something that I should do before the text element i created shows in when I log in Korean language???

How to print Korean Language

Hi
I wanted to print the output of the oracle report in Korean language.
I registered a report with the output type as text , am i able to display the output of the concurrent program in Korean Language, as the client is looking for pdf format, i changed the output type as XML and designed a RTF template and then able to view the output in Korean language.
When i change the output type as PDF , the output of the concurrent program is not in readable format.
my understanding is oracle does not support the non-english characters output from the concurrent program where the output type is PDF.
in order to print the output in pdf, i need to use the xml and rtf to achieve this.
Pls do confirm if my understanding is correct.

Korean Language Support Package required for Reader but not Acrobat?

One of our departments on campus has created a form that is causing some users to get a message prompting them to download the Korean Language Support Package in order to fill in the form fields.
When I originally tested this in Acrobat Pro 9 I didn't get any errors. Another user also reported the issue recently (two this week). So we tested it again, but this time used both Reader 9 and Reader X -- both programs were generating this message to download the language pack. The form appears to be completely in English with no Korean characters. It uses fairly standard fonts and I didn't see any embedding or encoding issues with the fonts.
Aside from having end users download a Korean Language Support Pack to view a PDF that doesn't seem to contain any Korean, are there any other options out there without recreating the form from scratch? Here is a list of the fonts used in the PDF. The only types of encoding are Ansi and Identity-H (which I expanded in the SS above), with the latter fonts being embedded within the PDF.

While our problems differ, my solution may still be relevant.
My culprit was a rogue font in an embedded Visio drawing. I identified and located the font using the "List text using non-embedded fonts" Preflight analysis in Acrobat 9.4 Pro. I checked the encoding of each non-embedded font and discovered that Arial Unicode MS used Korean font encoding (specifically, KSCms-UHC-H). See screenshot below. Doubleclicking on one of the font properties highlighted the offending text in the pdf.
I went to that location in the source file, which happened to be in the first embedded Visio drawing (shown above). I double clicked the drawing, selected all, and selected Arial font. Then I regenerated the pdf and viewed it in Reader X. The Korean language pack error message did not appear and all Visio drawings displayed normally.
I would recommend using the Acrobat preflight tools to locate text or objects with incorrect font encoding within your PDF or form, then surgically striking (or carpet bombing) the affected location(s) in the source files with embedded/supported fonts.

Korean language broken in Mavericks mail

Hi there!
I used both English and Korean language.
Sometimes, mail contents in Korean are broken when I receive email from Korean friends.
I tried to view message in raw source....no improvement.
Someone suggested text encoding...but I do not know how to change text encoding in Mavericks.

What does it say in the "charset=" header

But another mail has nothing there, only "Content-Type: text/html";
The important thing is not whether this charset is correct or not. The important thing is that Apple has made my mail experience worse by this "upgrade", for no good reason!
Earlier, I could change encoding of mails (perhaps a badly encoded mail), but Apple has taken away that posibility for no good reason. It only affects old mails, before UTF became common. It is typical of Apple not to care about history, but for me, old mails constitute valuable history.
Rather than taking away an option to change the encoding (or interpretation of an encoding) of a mail, I think Apple should have enhanced the feature: Sometimes, it happens that only the subject line is erronously interpretated (mime endoding of non-us-ascii characters), and I would like to fix that. It has never been possible. (This problem can even happen today with some new mails auto-generated by machines, such as auto-replies.)

Lack of leading korean language

I'm Mac OS X Lion User and use Adobe Web premium package.
But always link-broken image problem has been encountered while opening illustrator file
I mean, Image link was broken when i open illustrator file, presentation work sheet.
I don't understand why the link is broken, all files is stil in same folder.
I think the reason is lack of leading korean language. Link problem is very simple.

I recentley bought a ipod touch set all language to English, billing to English etc. The problem i have is when i open itunes or Apps store on my ipod it is in German, I'm English so don't understand German.. Can anyone help to change language in store

I recentley bought a ipod touch 5.01,set all language to English.....every thing i view is in English except when i view (open) itunes or apps store it is in German, I live in England, I was born in England, and i speak only English. I want my itunes and apps store to open and display in English. I have messaged the apple help and telephoned the help, both was helpful but no matter what i do in setting (even in reset, which i've done) my ipod will keep reverting back to German in Itunes and Apps store. All other data in my ipod is in English........just the itunes and apps store grrrrrrrrrrrr.

You can only use the German iTunes/App store if you are located in Germany. The German store is in the German language.

CHARSET for Korean language to open Korean .wft files in workflow.

Hi,
I want to open Korean .wft files in oracle workflow builder.
For that, I had given 'KOREAN_KOREA.KO16KSC5601' (and also 'KO16KSCCS' as charset) as the NLS_LANG value in the window registry but I am getting following error once I logged in to database using workflow builder:
1300: Could not load.
1114: Could not load from database.
1101: Could not load item types from database. FILTER=%
333: Could not set item type properties for 'FPAPJP'.
332: 'SET' validation failed for item type 'FPAPJP'.
306: Invalid display name 'Project Portfolio Analysis '.
203: Value contains leading or trailing spaces.
When I tried with 'KO16DBCS' charset, I am getting following error:
1700: Could not connect with username/password 'apps/apps@cxlv1' ('ORA-01017: ‰•¥“‰„@¤¢…™•”…a—¢¢¦–™„^@“–‡–•@„…•‰…„
though I am using the same username/password and tnsname that I am using to connect english and japanese .wft files.
Please share with me the correct charset for korean language to be able to work with workflow builder.

It didn't work..When I am giving AMERICAN_AMERICA.KO16KSC5601 as value for NLS_LANG, workflow builder is fetching wft only in American English !..
Any other clue!!

Korean Language Fonts?

I recently composed a notice in Word2007, used Acrobat 9 to convert to PDF and posted the file on my webpage. This is not the first time I have done this, but this time about 5 of my visitors have emailed me to complain that they get a notification that "Korean language fonts need to be installed for this document to display properly", or words to that effect. When I check from my desk (Win 7/Firefox 3) I see no notice. From my son's laptop (Win XP/Firefox 3), I get the notice, accompanied by a "Download Now" button. Visitors using Safari and Int Explorer get the notice but no download option, just a blank file.
This is a new quirk - where is the need for Korean fonts coming from? The document is in English. How do I make this document accessible for all visitors? The "Document > Properties" windows shows nothing about non-English or other unusual fonts.

I just realized that all the fonts listed are ANSI-encoded, except ArielUnicodeMS, which is encoded as "KSCms-UHC-H" whatever the heck that is. Might this appear to Acrobat as a foreign font?

Korean language display problem

Most of the Korean language on my ipod touch display correctly, however some of it displays as strange combinations of characters that are not Korean such as apostrophes, upside down exclamation points, degree symbol, english letters with other countries' accent marks over them. What I see on the touch is the same as is displayed on my computer in Windows. Is the source of the problem with Windows or something else? Can I get around this manually and add my own text to replace what is displayed?

Can you tell me how I go about encoding the ID3 tags as Unicode?
You may be able to enter the tags manually in iTunes via File > Get Info. There is also an app called ConvertZ, but I think it only does Chinese and Japanese.

GUI_DOWNLOAD in foreign language(Korean Language)

Hi All,
This is in regards with FM 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'.
We are on 4.7 with logon language as English.We have created a ALV report which has ALV output and has column value in Korean language like customer name, address etc.The ALV shows correct Korean language in output.
We have made two buttons on toolbar which basically downloads the data in excel file through FM GUI_DOWNLOAD.
The data is downloaded propely in excel but the korean language comes as all ####. There is also a standard download to excel option in ALV which I tried and which gives proper Korean language dump in excel.
I tried debugging the program and passed the coding parameter in GUI_DOWNLOAD as 4103.But the out put comes as some garbage wherever there is a Korean language.
The problem is standard export to excel works fine but the same in GUI_DOWNLOAD gives garbage value.
Kindly suggest something to download into excel in proper output (Korean language).

Translatate into korean language in script output

Hi Experts,
Korean language is not being printed out for purchase orders.
Noticed Korean translated texts are missing and hence PO layout is defaulted to english.
How to maintain korean language translations for the text elements in program SAPLZMM_MEDRUCK. Whereas in this program all the display text has been created as text-symbol.
