View message redirect recipient

Question

I automatically redirect a lot of mail, using rules. The original message remains in my inbox, and a lightning bolt/ zig zag arrow appears in the dot column, indicating that the message has been redirected.
Sometimes I want to ensure that it actually redirected to the correct person (for example, when that staff person says they never received it), but there's no way to see the redirect history. I can look at current rules in place, which tells me where I want current redirects to go, but that doesn't confirm a redirect I may have caused 2 weeks ago when the rule may have been different. Same thing for a forward-to.
Redirected messages don't appear in my *sent messages* folder, and clicking on the zig-zag doesn't bring up any info.
Has anyone found a way to view the redirect history?

Yes, that would put the message (or copy of it) in the sent folder (or even a new folder named *Redirected messages*.) So I tried it. But all that shows is the original message. It still doesn't say to whom I redirected it. Rules apply to incoming messages or inbox, not outgoing messages.
That's probably the thing I miss most from Entourage. With Entourage, you could say *after sending, move to such-and-such folder*. With Mail, it all just goes into the Sent folder.
I checked the long headers of original messages that I've redirected. Nothing.
If I look at a message that I test-redirected to myself, the header will show resent-to and resent-from but only the recipient of a redirected messages has access to that. The redirector/originator doesn't get to see where he/she sent it.
