View more then one site

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows how i can view more then one web site at a time instead of having to minimize or close every single time? For example, on a PC there are tabs at the bottom of the screen and you can flip back and forth between site, can a MAC do anything like that?

Welcome to Apple Discussions and Mac computing.
Go to the Safari Menu (to the right of the Apple Icon in the upper right of the screen) and select Preferences. When the Preference panel opens, select Tabs (if you don't see a Tab panel, click on the small pill button in the upper right). Check all available boxes. You'll see instructions for key commands on this panel to activate different aspects of Tabs. If you want to learn more about the Tab function, go to the Safari Help Menu and type "tabs" in the Search field.
Once Tabs is activated, a Tab Bar appears, similar to what is created at the bottom of the IE window. To create a new tab, simply press the Command and T keys. If you want to open a link on a web site in a new tab, hold down the Command key when you click on the link.
Good way to familiarize yourself with OS X is to pick up a copy of Scott Kelby's book OS X Tiger: Killer Tips.

Magic Mouse viewing more then one page at a time ?

Hi,
I looked through the threads and possibly I am doing something wrong. On my Mighty Mouse I could have several screens open and click on the side of the mouse and it would show all the open windows. Is that function no longer available with the Magic Mouse?

Try F9 to show All Windows in Exposé, if not open the Exposé preference panel and setup some key functions.

Currently I am working on Basic Replication.For that I am using Read only Materialized views.first i tried with one master site & one Materialized view site its working fine,Can I have more then one MVIEW site connected to single master site referring to same database ? if so how to achive this one..

Actually one of my senior told me that you need to change number of OPEN_LINKS value like that so for that reason I asked this question.
Still that problem not solved..
I will explain what are all the things I did ok.
IN MASTER SITE:
I am creating read only MVIEW's.
first i created one user repadmin and have given
1>execute any procedure
2>dbms_repcat_admin.grant_admin_any_repgroup
3>dbms_repcat_admin.grant_admin_any_schema
4>select any dictionary
and all other grants to repadmin user
then I changed global_name = 'zxincmp' on Master site.
Then I created mview log for each table (for 85 tables) & then I created mview's for that table on Master site itself. later I took a dump of these 85 mview's . then I transfered this dump to one of my mview site.
IN MVIEW site:
I created one user zxdbp_55 and all the above rights are given to this user & i created one public dblink
"zxincmp" using "TO_CMP"(master site).Then I imported that dump which i took from master site.
then i created one private link zxincmp in one of my mview site.then i used DBMS_REFRESH.MAKE('')
to refresh all my tables & to set the interval..
after that i created index on the mviews..
this will works out fine for single master & single mvirew site.but I tried with the same procedure to prepare one more mview site,everything is fine but main problem is second mview site is not getting refreshed automatically,i need to do refresh manually from enterprise manager.. then it will get refreshed.
how to overcome this problem? I am using same db name ,dblink,refresh group for both the mview site will it affects anywhere?

How do I select more then one channel to view in tdms file viewer graph panel

I have a TDMS file that I can view with the labview 2013 TDMS file viewer and I can select one signal out of 15 signals to view on the graph panel. however I would like be able to look at 2 or 3 signals
on the same graph but can't seem to be able to select more then one signal at a time. Is there a way to select more then one to view?

I've modified the TDMS viewer in the past to allow selecting multple channels. It's a little bit of a pain because the tree control in the viewer only allows you to select one item. You have to edit the tree to allow multiple items. Now your selection is an array instead of a scalar. This means the rest of the code has to be updated, and the references to the tree in subVIs need to be updated. Not impossible but it takes some time. Alternativly open it in Excel with the free add-in then you can select the two columns you want and insert a graph. Not as simple for the user but using Excel, which users should be familiar with might mean users need less training on data files.

Using more then one table/view in same Report

Hi,
I am using Discoverer Plus Version 9.0.4.43.15.
Is it possible to use more then one table/view in a report without the tables/views being joined in any way? It would be like using two different datasets in the same report without the datasets having anything to do with one another. Right now when I select items from the available tab I can only pick tables that relate to one another in some way.
Or is it possible to use more the one table in the same report? Each table using a different query/view/table.

try following type of query using set operator UNION / UNION ALL:
select col1,col2
from t1
union all
select col1,col2
from t2
If you don't have restrictions then this is the best way.

MVC - More then one view managed by the same contrler.

Ok, I have been reading and searching examples on the MVC .. but all the examples show just what to do when you have just one view of the model. What I f I have the more the n one view to handle the same model.
As we know the views would need to be registerd inside the controler? How can I do this If I have more then one view?
does anyone have any ideas!?
Would it still be correct if when an action occures on my view instead of the controler capturing that event an handiling, I make my view call the controler to handle it?

So in your opinion is it ok if I call my controler from the action event of my button?

Is there a way to Search (List search) for more then one field text from a column for Bulk uploading?

I've been trying to find more information on this and I apologies if this has already been answered. I just don't know the correct way to ask this. We have a SharePoint List at the company that we have people input information into different columns. The
problem is most of those information are very repetitive. Is there a way for me to search more then one field text in the column and just input that same information in?
ex:
Column 1
Column 2
Date:
883851
MidWest
User input
8831518
MidWest
User input
On the search field in the SharePoint List, I would need to search for 883851, 8831518 etc, would view those requested numbers, then I would click edit and change dates to those rows. Does that make sense? I'm sorry I'm fairly new at sharepoint.

I think what you're asking is about having repetitive options in a list, show up easily for new items being created.
This can be done by setting the columns that contain repetitive information to Choice fields. In the configuration of the Choice field, check the box for "Allow custom values". Now as users are entering data into the list, the dropdown of options
for a given field grows and users can quickly see and select previously entered and thus repetitive values for the given fields.

Tag_classifications more then one time in a web app

Hello everybody, I have a question about the tag classifications. I have a site with a breadcrumb and a titel. I want to have the title of the selected category in the breadcumb and titel. The tag classifications will do the job. But when I place the tag two times in the web app, the second it will show as {tag_classifications}. How can I have a category name more then one time on a web page?

In case it's useful, I figured out a javascript workaround for this...
I set the id of the div that has the first instance of {tag_classifications} to "classTag". Then I define a function that gets the contents of that div, puts it in a variable and then prints it out. Lastly, I call that function wherever I need more {tag_classifications} to appear.
Seems to be working for me. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Basically not how this was intended for.
You'll have the option to have a partner account which you can create various sites within your portal where each site will be under its own plan.
Or you'll have an existing account which is designed for one site. So I would say ideally no but you could add multiple domains to a site account under one plan, but then you'll need to share the same account (meaning one shop, one set of system messages, layout, etc).
Those are the options at this stage.

I am new to WPC, my doubt is can a single site contain more than one site navigation ( navigation.wpc) ??
let me bit more clear....
I created a site, created navigation nodes, created web pages and then published site navigation, copied the path from navigation.wpc, used that path in a worksets "external connections".
Up to here every thing is clear and i did what I wanted.
NOW,
I want to create a new web page which will be part of above navigation path ( navigation.wpc).
I create a web page under same site and used that navigation, and when i used this path in new workset, its again showing me previous content added new web page in detailed navigation of portal.
I want this web page should be part of second level navigation which will not connect to previous one any where.
at last my question is.... can I have more than one navigation paths under single site?
Is it possible? if yes, How? give me steps...

Hi there,
I had the same problem and I THINK I found a way to fix it, try creating a Site inside another Site, this way:
1. Create a New site in the "Sites" folder, let's call it "MyMainSite" (Web Content / Sites / MyMainSite).
2. Open that new site "MyMainSite", there you will find 4 folders, right? Entry Points, Site Content, Site Navigation and Web Pages.
3. Then click at "New" and choose "Site". Here you're creating a Sub-site inside your MainSite, got it? Name this site as "MySubSite"
4. You'll find a 5th folder called "MySubSite", open it.
5. So, you have again the same structure with the 4 folders (Entry Points, Site Content, Site Navigation and Web Pages) and when you create your nodes in the Site Navigation structure you will have a new "navigation.wpc" file, but with a different path.
Technicly it's not very nice, but it works, right?

M new and dont have deep idea about dreamwheaver.Actually i want to make changes in more then one file at the same time, how to do this. Is there any option available there. ?

If you you build your new site with SSIs (server-side includes), changes to include files will populate to all pages on the remote server. This is a huge time saver for maintaining common page elements on large sites.
Example code might look like this:

menu goes here

footer goes here

</html>
Pages with includes on them need to be saved as .shtm or .shtml. If you use server-side scripts on your site, save as .asp or .php to match your script type.

How do I get the text to flow throughout more then one page.

I am currently using LiveCycke Designer to create a scholarship for my company. I created fields for the form and I would like to insert a text to describe the scholarship. When I insert the text, it doesn't flow onto the next page. I've tried creating a subform and clicking "flowed" and "allow page breaks within content". I also clicked auto-fit for the height, but it just makes a line. For the text box, I've clicked "Expand to fit on the height". It is also a dynamic XML Form. Is there anything else I should be doing?
I could always send the file to someone to see if they can figure it out.

Here is the corrected form..Even you you set the Subform type to "Flowed" to the subform where the Text box resides, you did not set the Page1 to Flowed (which is the key)..But when I make the Page1 type to "Flowed", all your fields above the Scholrship text boxes' Subform will go one below another.. To fix this, first I have select all the fields and wrap them into a subform and then set the Page1 to Flowed..
