View music on ipod - this is driving me crazy!

please help me... i know there's probably a very simple solution to my problem but i still cant figure it out...
im using itunes version 7 and whenever i double-click on the ipod button on itunes, all i get is that summary thing and all the other tabs (music, podcasts, games, etc)... but what i want to do is see a list of the music that i have uploaded on my ipod.
the thing is, i accidentally uploaded all the songs i already had on my ipod in the itunes library and when updated my ipod, all the songs were duplicated. i deleted the library, but i just wanna make sure that my songs on the ipod are okay.
but thats not what i need help with. i need help with viewing my music that's already on my ipod. im so stupid because i think the music i have on my library are the same i have on my ipod but, as i said, i just wanna view my ipod using the "list" and not the summary tabs etc.
please help! i've been trying to figure it out for a month already!!

After having experienced similar problems and having it back to work, I have a few suggestions:
- Try to find out if the syncing stops at a particular track or song. That might - out of the blue - have gotten corrupted in one way or another. Since that song will not be on the iPod, iTunes will try over and over to put it on and crash in one way or another;
- reformat the iPod as described in the iTunes 9 crash-thread. It takes time (at first it seems to do nothing, but that is because the green bar is moving with very small steps);

If you have an iPod Touch you can watch movies on it.
Did you sync the movie with iTunes between your computer and your iPod ?

Some songs incomplete in Ipod 2gen 4gig, Driving me crazy !!!

Hi everyone.
I have an issue with an iPod Nano 2gen 4gigs Pink. Some songs are just incomplete... they just play for around 30 seconds and then stop.
I have an iPod Touch as well and those same songs from the same itunes play just perfect. What s more is that when connected to iTunes i can play those songs from my iPod library with no problem on my mac, I also tried on other macs.
So the songs seem to be complete and fully uploaded to the iPod memory, just they won't playback.
I already did a reset of the iPod and re-uploaded the library to the ipod, and now some songs that weren t playing before now do, but some random other that played before now don't work anymore...
Can anyone help me with this ? it s driving me crazy, please !

No, it doesn't come up in any other browser. The interesting thing this morning was I had inadvertently doubleclicked my hotmail icon and two windows came up, one over the other. The first one had the H&R Block site that is driving me crazy, which I closed, but the second one had my dear old emails without the dreaded H&R Block takeover. I haven't been able to send a picture of the page, but it looks like an H&R Block web site and lists the various tax prep software and prices. You can navigate all around the site, too.

Oh my gosh this is driving me crazy.

I bought a new song just to use as a ring tone on my iphone and it wont let me create it.
I made sure i'm signed in, have the view ringtone setting enabled, and
have the latest version of itunes.
the error i get is " This song cannot be made into a ringtone
nothing hurts by various artists can no longer be made into a ringtone" and this happened with any song i purchase from itunes

pls consider stating the actual specific issue in the Title of your post - people tend NOT to take the time to read a post that says 'Has this happened to you?' or the like - so your more likely to be viewed if you be more specific. Generic 'help, how do you fix this?' type titles are getting old for the rest of us as well. Thanks.

Music going on and off: Driving me crazy

I'm having a problem with my (2) websites since I started using '09 and that never happened when using iWeb 08'. Most of the pages in my websites have music. What is happening is that, after publishing and seeing my website(s)on the browser, the music disappears from some of the pages. That makes me have to go back activate the music and publish again. This problem started with one of the sites and is now happening in both. When all of this happened first it was on one or two pages and now it's spreading to more of my pages. At first I eliminated the affected page and would build it again but then I realized that it was useless since i had the same problem. By the way I use a different computer for each website with 2 separate MobileMe accounts.Has anyone gone through this? Is there anything that can correct this glitch?

I don't know much about codes but I'll place it here so you can see it. It is one of my poems that was recited by a friend and who wrote the background music. As I stated before, it worked fine until yesterday.

There is something else, one of the websites was made in iWeb 08' but the most recent was created directly in iWeb 09' using a new and different Mac. That one was the one that started acting strangly and about 2 weeks later the other one started to do the same.

Ethernet/Wireless internet problems..This is Driving me CRAZY..please help!

Alright i hope someone out there can solve my problem because i am about to throw my macbook against the wall. This is my problem:
Everytime i go on to the internet, in order for the internet to work i have to pull my ethernet cable out of the plug, plug it back in and refresh the page. The internet then works for about 4 pages on avg. and then it times out and says im not connected. In order to continue surfing on the net i have to pull the cable out and plug it back in. The wireless acts the same way. It will work and then times out. I have to turn off the airport and back on to get any internet.
The browsers im using are Safari 3.1.2 and Firefox 3.0.1 and both act the same way. My roommate has a PC and has had no problems whatsoever. Our internet comes through the wall from a plug not from a router. I personally believe that it is my computer because i have tried getting internet from the plug in his room and the same thing happens. The wireless around my school comes from different towers and no matter where im at the same thing happens. I dont believe that its the internet. Ohh and one more piece of info. My first year at school my computer gave me NO internet problems whatsoever. I bought the computer brand new in June of 2007.
If anyone knows how to fix this extremely annoying problem, please help me!! Thanks to all who answer~

I'm getting a problem which may be related, and i've figured out some workarounds (sort of inadequate ones but at least they're something).
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: almost immediately after installing the 10.5.5. system update, my MacBook started disconnecting itself from my wireless network. i'd be working online and suddenly i'd notice that only 3 bars of the AirPort icon on the menu bar would be showing and that the internet connection was no longer there. the only way to get the connection back would be to switch airport off and then back on and it would connect again. a couple of minutes later the connection would be gone again. infuriating stuff! i checked the system log using the Apple System Profiler (from the Apple menu) and found some messages about there being too many state changes detected on the AirPort network interface and that measures were being taken to fix stuff. it's a pity i didn't save the original error message since i no longer get it, but here's one I found that's identical reported by someone else:

anyway, the "measures" seemed to be to simply disconnect me from the net, which wasn't great. now the forums mentioned various solutions, but none of them actually worked.
SOLUTION/WORKAROUND: two things seem to have made a difference. 1. i downloaded the combo 10.5.5. system updater and reinstalled it. somehow after i did this the problem would no longer happen (at least those errors would no longer occur). 2. keeping my ipod touch wireless interface switched off, because whenever my touch comes online within a minute or two the iBook disconnects from the net.
COMMENTS: (1) even now if i connect to the wireless network with my iPod, my MacBook's connection will drop - so my solution is to not connect to the wireless network with my iPod touch, which ***** because i like to read stuff in bed on the touch sometimes. (2) reinstalling the system update (the combo version) definitely helped, because before i kept getting that error message in the system log, and even if the iPod touch was switched off the MacBook would still disconnect. (3) this suggest that there were two separate problems, one to do with a corrupted AirPort driver or something of that sort (which was fixed when I reinstalled the system update), and another to do with being kicked off when the iPod touch connects to the wireless network (this problem remains).
I've replace my Linksys wireless router with a Netgear wireless router, but that's made no difference, so i'm pretty sure that the problem has to do with the MacBook - either the hardware or the software. I plan to get another hard disk soon at which point i'll do a clear reinstall of the OS, and if the problem persists then i'll know that it's a MacBook hardware problem. =(
i'll post again here in the future, but if anyone has comments or suggestions or reports of this kind of problem then your input would be highly appreciated.

This is driving me crazy--new problem...

For some reason, I can't load songs into my iPod. I have some recently imported CDs in iTunes. Anyway, I drag them from a folder into my iPod, and iTunes will say the songs are copying into the iPod, but when I look for the songs, neither the song/artist I wanted to load is there. The total # of songs displayed at the bottom does not increase, nor does the total GB usage.

Okay.
About 70 million iPods have been sold. Trust me, out of those 70 million iPods, very few have problems.
See if recreating the iTunes library helps (it won't affect your music)...
How to recreate your iTunes Library
Then try restoring your iPod...
Restore iPod
See if it works now.

This is driving me crazy!!! Help with first time exporting files from computer to MP3 Pla

I'd REALLY appreciate any guidance here. I bought a USB converter to USB 2. My computer does detect it, but I cannot find it when I go to the sources and go under my computer. All that comes up at that point is the A,C, and D dri'ves. When I go to my computer icon on my desktop it shows Creative Zen as on there. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the USB dri've to come up under sources?
This is so much work to be putting into just getting some music into this player!!!

Go to: My Computer/Control Panel/System/Device Manager. Scroll down the Device Manager menu until you see USB devices. If there is a yellow triangle beside one of them, you probably have to update the driver from the install CD that your USB 2 card came with.
Reboot and it should be OK.

Ok, this is driving me crazy...

I apologise for the rant this is really annoying me (and it's probably just my lack of understanding).
I don't understand why when i move an Album to another project, it doesn't move the Master files associated with that album into the new project.
I'm just starting out with Aperture and I have over 2000 photos that i'm trying to organise into Aperture and I'm trying to move things around so they're in a more logical organised file structure. When I imported my photos, Aperture threw everything into one Project and divided everything below the Project (which I called "Old Photos") into brown folders and Albums. Now, I'm trying to move these photos into seperate Projects. For example;
After the import, I have a brown folder called "India Trip", and in this folder are around 30 Albums called "Day 1", "Day 2" etc etc (this is all within my "Old Photos" project). I've created a new Project called "India" and I want to move the albums over to it but the only way I can find to do this is to first click/drag the albums over (which doesn't copy the masters) and then go into each and every album, select all, and drag into the new Project in order to move the masters.
There MUST be an easier way of moving these images than this, right...? Am I just being an idiot?

Yep, I understand that a Master can only exist in one project and that images in Albums are just links (thanks to your blog btw, it's been very helpful ), however when I look at the project level, all I see are hundreds of photos and it's not a very useful view to move specific sets of photos out of the project.
It seems like a crazy design decision to allow a user to move an album (a set of links) from one project that holds the masters it's linking to, into another project without giving you the option of moving the masters as well.
I appreciate that the way I imported the images (the default way) probably wasn't the best. but are you saying that the only way to move masters out of one project into another is to do it at the root/Project level? If that's the case, what's the point in having a folder structure? Like I said, i sure it's a mix between me not understanding Aperture and not being used to it.
I think I need to get to a point where I have alot more Projects with far fewer photos in but I'm not sure how best to get there.
Again, I apologise for the rant - I don't mean to. If anyone can give me any advice on how best to manage 2000 photos using Aperture then I would greatly appreciate it.

Make your bean session scoped. If it works and you want to keep it request scoped, then your data loading logic might need a review. Just make sure that the collection behind #{searchAction.allPos} is still available and exactly the same in the next request.
