I have a little problem!I have a nokia6230 and i made a backup file from my contacts, but i couldn't open it on PC because it is a nfc extension.I wanna to save it to txt format.

I am not at home, but I need a phone # off my contact list. Is there a way to view my contact from my account? Since our contact are on a server, you'd think that would be possable.... but then again, we're talking about skype here.... not much common sense in managment!

Your contact list can only be accessed using Skype application installed on your computer/device.
However, if you Skype account is linked with Microsoft account, then you can login to Outlook.com on the web and tere you should alos be able to see your contact list.

That's exactly what it does, refresh your contacts. As an example if you add a contact on your Mac or iPad and you use iCloud to sync them altogether, then this can be used to refresh the contacts on your iPhone.

This fixed the issue:
1. sign out of iCloud. (make sure you are really signed out or it won't work!)
2. open Outlook and make sure iCloud is not listed in Account Settings
3. close Outlook
4. sign in to iCloud and let it set up Outlook sync
You shouldn't need to reinstall anything. Just remember that when you first look at your calendar/contacts in Outlook it will default to show your Outlook (saved locally) calendar and contacts. You may need to select iCloud to see them.

I've not failed to do that. The contact list on my Mac is from my phone, not my wifes phone (which is the troublesome one). I restored it to last backup and it is back but I am not certain the problem will be fixed. Time will tell. My question is how to get her phones contact list back post reset...just the contact list.

Required is the view of contacts with surname, first name.
This is impossible to adjust and a No-Go for business.

While that is currently not possible in the contact listing view, it could be updated in a future upgrade. I hope it will be.

Photo view in contacts?

Is there a way to see your photos you have for your contacts when viewing your contact list? If not that would be a nice feature to add.

HT201287 How do I share contact info over SMS while viewing a contact?

I am using iPhone 5S. While viewing a contact information, I would like to send the contcat info over SMS.
As per user guide, if I click on Share Contact and then select Message, New Message screen is popped up but without the contact info.
Need some help here.

When I share a Contact (named "Emergency" in my case), I see a screen like this:
Note at the top is where I would address this message to the person with whom I am sharing.
Are you sure you're set up for messaging? This may be an MMS message.

I've got a question: i have my contacts copied to my computer. Is there a way to view the contacts on my computer without connecting the phone to it?
I have found the .dat file with the contacts, however I don't know what application sshoul I use to run it.

I have my cell repaired right now and have to use another cell for a few days that's why now no contacts are available for me and it seems a bit weird that it is not possible to view the contacts even by means of a PC Suite utility without connecting the phone.
I undertsand if you want to synchronize contacts, but all i want to do is view them, that's all.

Unable to view 3rd contact number in jabber.

We have recently moved to cisco jabber 9.x from CUPC.
Post implementation we have observed that we are able to see only 2 contact numbers ( Work, Mobile). But in CUPC we can view 3 contacts (Work,Mobile,Other). Customer is asking to add another conctact no also in jabber.
Below is my jabber-config file.

I don't believe you can. You have to import them from the SIM to the phone first, which means they are no longer actually SIM contacts. They become part of your 'regular' contacts.

If you have performed a sync with the device since you restored this old backup, then don't bother looking for another backup. iTunes writes over the last backup each time you sync. If you were handling contacts in iCloud, you would find them by logging into iCloud. Or you can check settings and iCloud and see if the button it on for Contacts. Otherwise it might have been on the computer, if you had a program that syncs with iTunes and handles contacts, depending on the computer system you use. If Windows, it would be Windows Contacts or Outlook. If a Mac, there is a Mac Address book as well.

Contacts closing when viewing some contacts

When I try to view certain contacts on my 3G, the contacts app closes by itself. I can view some contacts with no problem but with others, the screen goes black and then returns to the home screen. I have a feeling it has something to do with the notes attached to the contacts, but I can't find any pattern. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the advice; I found the problem though. The notes were too long in my outlook contacts list that I am syncing with. I am actually having my Act db sync with Outlook which syncs with the iPhone. I ended up deleting all the contacts out of Outlook and off the iPhone. Then I told Act to only sync two of the last customer histories –rather than the 10 that I was syncing. Then I synchronized the contacts with outlook again and then reloaded them onto the iPhone. Now I can open and view many of the contacts that would previously cause the contacts application to close (I haven’t tried them all as there are over 1,000 contacts).

Double-clicking on Sender name to view full contact card

Just upgraded to Outlook 2013 with Lync 2013, and so far I hate it. In Outlook 2007, when I opened an email I could double-click on the sender's name and pull up its full contact card with all of the information that I had entered before, including
their picture or company logo. Now in the 2013 version, I get some light-weight pop-up showing some of the sender's info and either no picture or the picture that they included in Lync. Is there any way of restoring the full contact card? Also,
is there any way to get the Reading Pane to show by default the picture that I assigned to that contact?

When I click on the sender's name in an email, it opens the Outlook Properties dialog instead of the full contact editing form.
If you want to open the full Contact Form in Outlook 2013, you can click on the View Source link of the Contact Card, and click the source
