Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
If you are on BES, then you must go see your BES admins as they control everything.
If you are on BIS, then please try the following:
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Now check to see if you can read a PDF file that comes in as an email attachment -- read it natively while it remains an attachment. You might have to send yourself a new email with a PDF attachment if the Service Book was corrupt at the time the old email arrived.
If that works for attached PDF's, then one down. Now to the ToGo Apps.
I don't recall which device OS level they were included with, but check here please:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications
After the list builds, scroll through to find "Documents To Go". If it is there, then you have them installed and simply need to find the icons on your BB.
If they are not there, then tether to your PC and launch the DTM application loader to re-install them.
Keep in mind that, natively (even with ToGo), you will not be able to read PDF's that are files stored on your BB. Only while they remain as an attachment is the Attachment Service able to render them for you. Once they are detached, you need an add-on app to read them, and the Standard ToGo software does not include that.
Good luck and let us know!

Sean.Open Office has been around for 15 years, almost as long as Mozilla. <br />
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org
Sun Microsystems bought Star Office in 1999 for in-house use and then turned it into an open source project in 2000, to complete with Microsoft Office. Oracle shut down Open Office in 2011 after the buy-out of Sun. Shortly before the shut-down of Open Office by Oracle, the open source part of the project became split into separate factions - Adobe picked up the "official" name version, while many of the open source developers kept "things" going under the Libre Office name. <br />''There is also a "fork" called NeoOffice specifically for Mac OSX, available at the Mac App store (not free-though) .''
As far as the "cloud" part for online storage goes, I have no interest in the "cloud" for storing documents, and I don't know how much any of the three forks is involved in cloud storage - '''but all three forks are so much more than being mere storage medium like a "cloud". They are a full feature suite that is very equal to what Microsoft offers with Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.'''
OO and LO can open and edit most Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. And they are primary supporters of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDocument Open Document Format for Office Applications].<br />
The best thing is two of them are free open source projects, like with Mozilla. <br />

IPhone: Viewing office documents
Is there a way to programmatically display doc, xls or ppt documents?
The IPhone email client can display office files, I was wondering if that functionality is exposed via public APIs.
Opening the files in Safari fails (via [UIApplication openURL]), but works fine for pdf files.
Thanks for any help,
Flavio.I'm also interested in displaying office documents in an iPhone view. Did you figure out a way to do this? Are they just converting to PDF on the backend, then sending it back to a webview?
Let me know if you find anything out. -
Need Office documents in SharePoint to open in WebApps
I have a client who has a tall order at least as far as I'm concerned. I am not a SharePoint person, just a server admin.
My client has SharePoint 2013 running which is accessible from the Internet by providing domain credentials for the domain on his network where the SharePoint server is located. That is working great. You can navigate throughout the SharePoint site and do
whatever needs to be done.
He also has a Remote Apps server which I set up and has Microsoft Office published on it. That works fine too.
Here's where the tall order comes in. He has staff who run around out in the field with iPads who access the SharePoint site and need to view Office documents in it but they can't as the only option they get is to download the file which doesn't help them
because even if they do, they can't open the document on the iPad.
So he wants to tie SharePoint and the Remote Apps servers together so that when these iPad users access an Office document on the SharePoint site, they can view/edit the documents on their iPads via the Remote Apps.
Is this even possible? If so, just how would it be done? Can the two be tied together or will Remote Apps and Office need to also be installed somewhere else for it to work? I see there is something called Microsoft Office Web Apps Server but also
see that a license is required to edit documents. It wouldn't surprise me if he did not want to buy the license since he already has licenses for Office and Server OS and has Office published on a Remote Apps server.
JonathanCan you provide the output of the follow cmdlets from the OWA server?
Get-OfficeWebAppsFarm
Get-OfficeWebAppsHost
Get-OfficeWebAppsMachine
On the SharePoint server, check to see if the SharePoint Tracing service is running in services.msc.

I am currently enrolled in online classes and I have to have Microsoft Office to access Word, Excel, Powerpoint for the classes. I have a laptop and an iPad2 but do not have Microsoft Office on either. Rather than purchase it on windows, I wanted to see if there is an app to be able to Create a new document for Word, edit, save and view those as well. And for Powerpoint and Excel. We have Documents to Go Premium currently installed on the iPad but I can't figure out how to create a new document or even how to save or view a document I'm trying to access through the class online. Thanks in advance for the help!!
I don't have the premium version but I do the regular version. to create a new document open the program and go into either your desktop or local files and there'll be alittle sheet of paper with a plus sign on it in the lower right corner. That makes a new document.
Dunno if it's still a glitch or not, but some reported not being able to type with a blue tooth keyboard in an empty document. The solution to that is to turn off hte bluetooth, type in a few letters with the onscreen, then to turn the bluetooth back on.
as to saving a document from online, that'd depend on what kind it is and how you can download. -
SharePoint 2013 cannot view PDF documents in mobile browser with office web apps
Hi,
I'm receiving the following error when viewing SharePoint 2013 PDF documents in a mobile browser after clicking on the filename:
"Viewing of .pdf files has been disabled in Microsoft Word Mobile Viewer. Please get in touch with your helpdesk."
My Question
Is viewing PDF documents in mobile browsers with Office Web Apps SP1 actually supported? If so, how can I enable it? I've already have pdf viewing working in non-mobile browsers. Word documents open just fine on mobile browsers too.
I'm getting conflicting answers for pdf mobile viewing support from various sources:
You've got Microsoft toting that they've added in PDF viewing on any device for Office Web Apps
http://blogs.office.com/2013/07/03/pdfs-in-the-word-web-app/
A MS support person saying saying it is not supported
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_web_apps_server_2013_support_blog/archive/2013/12/31/enabling-pdf-previews-in-document-libraries-with-office-web-apps-2013-in-sharepoint-2013-open-link-does-not-work-from-preview.aspx
Another person implying that it should work because you can disable pdf browsing for mobile browsers only
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2013/07/24/control-whether-pdfs-open-in-word-web-app-or-the-default-pdf-reader.aspx
What I've tried
When I started looking into this there was a mobile WOPI entry:
Application : WordPdf
Extension : PDF
ProgId :
Action : mobileView
IsDefaultAction : False
ServerName : 20SP8
WopiZone : internal-http
I tried experimenting with tweaking this binding by changing the DefaultAction to true, and even removing it altogether via:
Get-SPWopiBinding -Action "MobileView" -Application "WordPDF" | Remove-SPWopiBinding -Confirm:$false
But I still get the same message.
I removed all the WordPdf bindings and re-added them via:
New-SPWOPIBinding –ServerName "<myserver>" –Application "WordPDF" -AllowHTTP
No dice. In fact the mobileview binding doesn't even come back... but I guess that is a different issue altogether.
Version
SharePoint 2013 (SP1)
Office Web Apps Server (SP1)
Farm Setup
Internal facing only
2 front end servers, 1 app server, 1 office web apps serverI think the PDF support, if it exists, in only in Office 365. Always remember that the Office 365 and on premises versions will never be in sync. On premise is updated using periodic service packs and Office 365 has continuous updates. (I've heard every
10 days.)
In my Office 365 / IE 10 tests, the PDFs open in the browser's default PDF viewer, in my case FoxIt Reader. So I can't prove one way or the other about support in Office Web Apps.

Office Document Imaging as Viewer with Archivelink ?
Hello,
i'm dealing with these Archivelink themes for the first time. We have an archive (SAPERION) which is connected to SAP Rel.4.7 using HTTP.
i've read the documentation but it's just confusing .
What would be the customizing ( OAA3, OAA4 ?? ) to use the Microsoft Document Imaging just to view documents ?
Is it possible to get the viewer user - dependend ( perhaps via exit ) - so that the usery could decide which viewer (ECL-Viewer or Microsoft ) they want to use ? i found in debuuging the table TOAEX but no documentation what to do with that .
An help would be appreciated ..
Regards WolfgangHi Wolfgang,

5.Double click on the protocol and it will take you to a screen
'Over view of protocol'.
Then click on 'Display Stored document' >Choose the document type
'TIF' >choose the communication type as 'ARCHIVELNK' >Click on
continue.
Similarly click on 'Retrieve Stored Document on Client PC' >choose the
communication type as 'TABLE' >Click on continue.
Then click on 'Display local file' >choose communicaion type as
'ARCHIVELNK' >Click on continue.
6.SAVE the settings.
Once the above setting is done, the document should get displayed with

Is there a way to save and view Microsoft Office documents on the iPhone?
I have just transitioned from a Blackberry to an iPhone 4 for business. On the Blackberry I was able to save and open Microsoft Office documents such as Word, Excel etc. do I have this capability on the iPhone and if so, what is the app required to do so?
I can't even begin to guess what your needs are. I'm sure my needs are significantly different. Look at the features, read the reviews, and decide.
This is a technical support forum for the iPhone. We're not here to make recommendation on 3rd party products. -

selvaHi Selva,
Refer blog: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/2.Customizing(CA-DMS-EAI)
Section : Define Workstation application in Network
For column: Application (path and program)
Maintain the value %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.INPLACE%
Above configuration will open the Micrsoft Office application within the window for processing the document info record.
Hence user will not be able to download the attachment.
And with option of Authorization controls you can disable "SAVE" and "PRINT" options from the menu screen.
Hence user will not be able to save or print the attachment.
