  • Backorder although on-hand quantity exists

When I perform Pick Release step, the Order status becomes Backorder, although on hand quantity for the ordered item exists. In Exceptions, I got:
WSH_PICK_BACKORDER - Pick Release process could not allocate 1 of item test01 for order 49 as there was insufficient quantity available Or Inventory allocations have failed, and the line has been back ordered.
I saw on the forum that many other persons had this problem, unfortunatelly, none of the advices found here worked.
Does anybody have any other idea?
    Thanks.

Hi Out of my exp on OM with different projs.
i had found these cases which causes order to get back ordered.
Any issue related to Back ordering will defenitely fall 1 among these cases
    1.     Check in Shipping Transaction Form, make sure the order still in “Ready to Release”.
    2.     There might be a lot of possibilities for this problem:
    i.)     Order on hold
ii.)     Do not have enough qty
    iii.)     Lot expired
iv.)     Wrong reservation (even inventory have enough qty)
v.)     Inventory reserved for other orders.
vi.)     Inventory picked up by other orders
vii.)     Previously return to stock not done properly.
    3.     Case 1, check if the order is on hold. Check the order type in Shipping Transaction Form ® “Detail” ® “Source”.
    4.     There is another way to check the order type. That is go to WMS Control Board ® “Picking”.
    5.     Or go to OM Shipping View to see the order type.
    6.     Go to the correct “Sales Order View” instant accordingly by keying in the order# and order type.
    7.     Click on “Open Order” ® “Action” ® “Additional order info”.
    8.     Do the same for order level and line level.
    9.     Case 2 & 3, go to Material Workbench to check if the lot has expired or not having enough inventory for this order.
    10.     We can check if any lot is reserved for other order as well.
    11.     In Material Work Bench, go check for each lot in the physical locator by clicking on the “Attribute” button. (lot level reservation)
    12.     Alternatively, go to Shipping Transaction Form ® OM Shipping View, or go to “Lot Number” (Ctrl + L), click on Attribute column to check the SO reservation of the lot.
    13.     Compare the SO info with the order that are having problem.
    14.     Case 4, go “Reserve Supply” form (Ctrl + L) to check if the order is wrongly reserved.
    15.     Case 5, in the “Reserve Supply form, we can check if the qty is being picked up by other order as well. (order level reservation regardless of lot)
    16.     Also, can go to Material Workbench ® Availability, to check for the available to reserve.
    17.     Case 6, it might have high possibility the qty is taken up by order with different line, or other orders which have been auto launched.
    18.     If this is the case, must do backorder.
    19.     Go to Transact Move Order Form ® tab “Pick Wave” ® View/Update allocation ® Lot/Serial.
    20.     Click on the checkbox for order which need to be backordered, then go to Tool ® Back Order Line.
    21.     Case 7, ask the user if the order has done return to stock previously.
    22.     If yes, it might has high possibility that the return to stock not done properly.
    23.     Check the lot state, must be in “Resides in inventory”.
    24.     Check in Material Workbench to see if the lot is still packed with LPN or not.
    25.     Check also if the lot is in physical locator rather than logical locator.
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • On-hand quantity.

    Hi All,
When i query to see the on-hand quantity for a item, it does not show me any. The form was doing that earlier but it does not do now.
Was wondering if any profile option/role has anything to do with it. M on R12

I have OHQ in all of the sub-inventory for the items.
But some how it would not enable the buttons on the form to view the availability...
I checked the tables they look perfect, but the form is greyed and it would not show up any data.
THis is not specific to one sub-inventory its happening for all of them..
    Any suggestions...

  • I want to use my Mac desktop as a portal for viewing my cable television via some kind of cord. Is this possible and what do I need to set this up?

I want to use my Mac desktop as a portal for viewing my cable television via some kind of cord. Is this possible and what do I need to set this up?

It can be done with analog but not digital thanks to "good 'ol" HDCP copy protection which apple (and most other manufacturers) unfortunately respect.
So you can take the analog output from your cable box (component -- 5 cables -- if it has it but generally they all have composite -- 3 cables) and feed it into some kind of converter or into some appropriate pci card for your mac pro.  But none of them are going to let you directly use the HDMI output from the box to your computer.
Bottom line, no single cord is going to work and it will never be the higher quality digital picture you get on your tv.
Some qualification:  There are boxes that I think support hdmi input.  Look at Blackmagic.  But I still don't think you can get around the HDCP from the cable box (might depend on the kind of cable box).

    Many thanks.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store

  • Projected on hand quantity calculation logic

    Hi ,
I am trying to extract information for projected on hand quantities.
    Here were my findings
    1. MTL_SUPPLY_DEMAND_TEMP
this table has one column called ON_HAND_QUANTITY which stores Projected on hand quantity based on accumulating supply and Demand ( as per trm), However this table is a temporary table and data is also session specific, data will be gone once the session get closed.
    2. From Inventory user guide I got a point that "The projected on hand quantity of the item is , defined as Current Available + all future sources of supply and - all future sources of demand."
    Now my question is
    a. Is there a direct table for calculating projected on hand quantity in application.
    b. How do I calculate current available quantity then future source of suuply and future sources of demand.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi:
~ There is no direct table to get the projected inventory details.
~ Current on hand Qty for a given item shall be obtained from ON HAND QTY table.
For calculating the future supply upto a patricular date, all the expected supplies such as Receipts, Jobs, Internal SO transfer, etc to be considered.
For calculating the future demand, qty required for SO demand, forecast demand, ISO demand etc to be considered.
Projected Inventory = Current Stock (OHQ) + Expected Supply - Expected Demand.

  • Item substitute and on hand quantity control

    Hi all!
    I've a problem...
I've an item in a BOM with no on-hand quantity ( or little reserve..) but I've another item that can substitute the first one with its availability... how can oracle WIP (and MRP Workbench) understand this?
I try with "substitue" in BOM but it doesn't work ( what does it need for????? ).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi, Silvia
Arumugan is rigth. In fact, MRP doesn't work with substitute items. APS can plan substitute items, MRP doesn't.
When you set BOM with the substitute information, it's only documentational. In other words, you need to change in WIP the items you'll consume in that work order.

  • On hand quantity exists or there are open delivery transactions for this item

    Hi all,
on hand quantity exists or there are open delivery transactions for this item in oracle apps at the master item copy from & lines status in Transaction Form in Backordered.
    Thank You

    Hi,
Make sure you completely receive the PO, then you should be good enough to convert the item to expense.
    Thanks

  • Scheduled ship date using PO /  On-hand Quantity

    Hi All,
ATP calculates the scheduled ship date using the pegging from PO or from the available On-Hand-Quantity when the order lines are created.
I couldn't find any difference in the order tables whichever way the scheduled ship date is created.
Any idea how to find based on what this date is calcualted from OM?
    Thanks
    Geetha

Seeing sales order in OM you can identify whether schedule date is coming from onhand or purchase orde or lead time. But this information is not stored anywhere.
You should check this sales order on planning workbench and pegging area should tell you the required info.
So whatever you are asking is available on planning instance (MSC data).
if you are not using ATP based on planning output then I don't think you will be able to get required information.
    thanks

  • Customizing tree structure in On Hand Quantity form

    Hi,
I have a requirement to Modify tree structure in On hand quantity form
After clicking on find in Onhand form,
Data will appear and in Left hand size a tree structure will be there,
With organization as Top Node,if we click on organization sub inventories in that org will be displayed,
I need to restrict the Sub inventories appearing in the list,in mtl_secondary_inventories table an attribute is defined and i should restrict the sub inventories in the tree with attribute of sub inventories set to value of Yes.
Please guide me on the possibilities
    Best Regards,
    Mahi

I had to do something similar for the supply-demand screen.
I believe the screen enters data into a temp table (maybe MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITY_TEMP). Open the form ; find the temp table it uses and then write a before-insert trigger that will change the seq_num being inserted depending on the subinventory.
    Hope this helps

  • How to get the current On-Hand Quantity of an item?

    Hi,
I want to get the on-hand quantity of items from backend,
    When i use the table mtl_onhand_quantities :
    SELECT msi.segment1, msi.organization_id, SUM (moq.transaction_quantity)
    FROM mtl_system_items_b msi, mtl_onhand_quantities moq
    WHERE moq.organization_id(+) = msi.organization_id
    AND moq.inventory_item_id(+) = msi.inventory_item_id
    and moq.ORGANIZATION_ID = 1006
    and msi.SEGMENT1 = '14003-0063'
    GROUP BY msi.segment1, msi.organization_id
I get a quantity that is different than the one i get from front end. (On-Hand Quantity Screen)
The mtl_onhand_quantities shows quantities when received only , but it doesn't count the transactions done on the item.
How can i get the correct current on hand quantity of an item ?
    Thanks,
    Joe

I think you guys in this way are getting only the on hand quantity that we inserted when we first created the item...
I think we should also calculate whatever transactions happened on that item ..
i found this little program, please let me know if you think it's the correct way :
    FUNCTION CF_LAST_BALFormula RETURN NUMBER IS
    v_onhand_qty NUMBER;
    v_last_qty NUMBER;
    v_target_qty NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT SUM(transaction_quantity)
    INTO v_onhand_qty
    FROM mtl_onhand_quantities_detail
    WHERE inventory_item_id = :inventory_item_id
    AND organization_id = :organization_id
    AND subinventory_code = :Subinventory;
    SELECT NVL(SUM(Transaction_quantity),0)
    INTO v_last_qty
    FROM mtl_material_transactions
    WHERE inventory_item_id = :inventory_item_id
    AND organization_id = :organization_id
    AND subinventory_code = :Subinventory
    AND trunc(creation_date)>= :p_last_date;
    v_target_qty:=(v_onhand_qty)-(v_last_qty);
    RETURN( v_target_qty);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    RETURN 0;
    END;

  • OLE: export quantity with decimals according to UoM

    Dear Guru,
I encounter a problem when exporting data from Itab to Excel using OLE.
In the itab, there are many Quantity fields (with UoM). When I export to Excel, I want the number of decimals of each quantity field must comply with UoM (for ex: PC with 0 decimal, Kgs with 3 decimals).
I try to write the qty to text, it's ok but I also need the exporting qty is formatted as a number in Excel so user can do a sum.
The solution for this problem seems complicated. I have to write qty to text, convert text to number...But for a large number of data, it is really slow.
Is there anybody encounter the same problem? Please advice the solution.
    Thanks.

    > The solution for this problem seems complicated. I have to write qty to text, convert text to number...But for a large number of data, it is really slow.
You make confusion about the real problem. Converting the quantity is not time consuming (or your program is really badly programmed ).
What is time consuming is making many calls to OLE.
To avoid that issue, SAP uses the Data Provider and the Desktop Office Integration (DOI). The whole data is sent to the frontend once (more or less), and sends only a few instructions to the frontend to process this data. I don't really know the exact process, but it's really, really  much faster.
DOI can be programmed directly (there are SAP demo programs which show how it works, search forum), and there is an upper abstraction if you only need to paste data, set colors, that is indicated by Pedro.

  • I foolishly removed the firefox toolbar ( meaning I have no file, view, edit, bookmark, or any other kind of tab including the search box or even a address bar). How can I get them back without reinstalling firefox please?

Hi, I wanted more room to view on the web, so I thought I'd get rid of some of the toolbars that were taking up space. I went to the edit tab (i think) and then selected toolbars and then just unticked the ones I wanted to lose.Worked like a charm...
Only problem was that I unticked the wrong one. Now I can't search on the web or enter a url as there is nothing there anymore. Any I do mean NOTHING expect my roboform toolbar and the "Getting Started" Firefox tab just above that.
Reason I stressed the "nothing" is because I went on yahoo answers and someone just said...go to edit and...He obviously didn't get that I don't have any kind of firefox tabs left on my browser ( except for the "getting started" tab)
I don't want to uninstall and reinstall as I'm worried I'll lose my bookmarked pages.
Would be really grateful if you could advise me of an alternative solution to getting my tabs, search bar and address bar back please?
    Many thanks
    Paul
ps as I don't have any tabs I can't tell you which version I have installed, but your clever software looks like it's got it right.

Try this: press F10 or tap the Alt key to display the menu bar temporarily, then
View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
If that doesn't work, you could reset your toolbars to factory default using Firefox's Safe Mode. First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, start Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode], and check only the box to reset toolbars. Be careful not to "reset" anything else if you didn't back up.
    Hope this helps.

  • Item on hand quantity in Webtools why does it not mirror the qty in Sap

When you look in web tools administration catalogue and items and find an item under financials it is showing the on hand qty which is different from the on hand qty in SAP Business One.
Even after synchronisation please can you advise the reason for this. My customer is about to go live and is worried about this.
Paulo at SAP suggested I post this out to you as I need  a solution

Elaine, the standard functionality for webtools provides only for the 'available quantity' to be synchronised across from SAP Business One.
The available quantity is a calculation as follows:
Sum of ( On Hand Qty + Supplier Order Qty - Customer Order Qty ) for all warehouses
If you want to base the stock availability flag shown in Webtools upon anything other than available quantity you will have to provide some form of custom update via SQL from B1 to Webtools and then modify the part detail page to refer to the required data for the current item.
