View Outlook Email on my iPhone

Hi all,
I've recently purchased an iPhone, but I'm hesitant to open it until I find out if I can view emails from Outlook. At work our email system (like many) is MS Outlook and I want to view my email (with syncing them) on my iPhone. Can I do this through the web? And/or can I view Outlook email through the iPhone mail app?
My work currently uses (for web) Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access Provided by Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. Can I view email through safari using this setup? Does the iPhone use ActiveSync?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
mike

Nathan C,
Thanks for the quick response.
Yeah, I know that ActiveSync belongs to M$. I was just reading this article and thought a deal was made by this point....http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=534.
So, I can fire up safari on the iPhone and view email from Exchange Server 2003 - view/edit/send messages also (how about attachments)? I don't need 2007 to do this?
Again, thanks for your time and answers.
mike

How do i import outlook email addresses to iphone and send as a SMS text messages?

You can send a message through an email gateway so that it appears as a text on someone's phone. However, it's not their regular address. For example, for a Verizon customer, it would be [email protected] Perhaps that's what you're thinking of?

  • Cannot force itunes to store outlook email messages on iphone

I have an iphone which I had to restore. Now, all my old emails from my POP3 comcast account are gone. The account is still there and functioning; I see new emails, and if I send something from the phone it shows up in "sent" messages. However, I want my old emails (at least the latest 200) from my Outlook on the PC, to be placed back on the phone.
I tried setting itunes to synch email (I typically just get email from the server and don't synch w/ PC; I only synch calendar, notes, contacts with iTunes, not the mail box). I even tried the "advanced" button, to, for one time, replace all email info on my PC with that on the phone.
But after all that, while the account still operates correctly, the only messages on the phone are new ones coming into the POP server. No old emails are on the phone any longer. What can I do?

  • Outlook email flag to iPhone (probably same thing on iPad)

This is an extremely vexing problem and I would like to know if anyone has a solution please.  Here is my situation:
Using standalone (simply my home one not connected to network or exchange) Outlook 2007 (soon to upgrade to 2013) on PC - Windows 8.1.  Have an iPhone 6.  I use gmail as my email addresses (have 5 different profiles) within Outlook - one primary email, other for things like store warranties, other for friends, etc.
Want the closest possible functionality (particularly categories, reminders, etc.) on my iPhone for my standalone Outlook.  The only thing I have found close is DejaOffice and Companion Link (which work together).  I am seriously considering as appears a close mirror image for all things I do, but they don't have email.  So, can someone please give me either a) a better comprehensive application/solution; b) a separate 3rd party email app that will allow me to flag an email, on either computer or iPhone with perfect sync, as a reminder without having to create a separate task; or c) your best/closest solution set to be as seamlessly productive as possible using either native or 3rd party email app and your :"manual workaround."  Thanks.

Thanks so much for the reply, but if I change to IMAP, I lose the Outlook functionality (different flags for times and color categories)  that I use Outlook for in the first place.  I am finding that anything involving Microsoft is a considerable pain and wish they made things more user friendly or customizable with their products.  At this point, it seems I have two extreme choices of either getting Office 365 Business or simply using what looks to be a very good 3rd party app (companionlink and deja office) and simply using native iOS app for email on iPhone and just manually updating Outlook each night on my PC.

  • Syncing Local Outlook Email Messages to iPhone

I apologize if this question has been answered previously, but I did search for an answer and could not find one.
Is there a way to sync the email messages stored on my harddrive (downloaded from the POP3 server) to my iPhone? I do not want to leave all my email on the server.
My previous phone Sprint Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) had two mail options: one for Outlook and one for POP3 account. I do not see that option with the iPhone.

No, there's not. iPhone synchs Email SETTINGS, not E-mails.

  • Outlook email with my iphone.

I can send and receive messages just fine. But when I delete messages in Outlook on my computer that is not reflected on iphone. They still appear on my phone as unread messages.

Sorry.  I have the same problem.  Been using iphone with Exchange account for 1 year, and this issue just developed.  Something has changed.  Actions taken from Outlook (MS office 2011 on Macbook Pro, Lion) like reading or deleting are no longer reflected on the phone.  New messages appear, but messages that are read or deleted from Outlook are not updated on the phone.  Furthermore, if you then proceed to mark them "read" and then delete them, you'll find two copies of the deleted message in the "Deleted" mailbox on the exchange server.
Does anyone know what is going on?  This issue makes using mail on my phone pretty useless.

  • How do I set up a Microsoft outlook email account on my iPhone and iPad?

How do I set up Microsoft outlook email on my iPhone and iPad?

The iPhone does not sync mail message with a desktop client. Only with the server. If bigpond doesn't have adequate server side mail filtering, maybe you should create a gmail account for yourself and set that up on the phone.
You can configure gmail to fetch the mail from your bigpond account. The server side filtering on gmail is excellent. I see very little spam and there are very few false positives.

    Use these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.
If this is on a PC, you can also sync Outlook with your iCloud as explained here: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.  This will automatically add your iCloud email account.

  • Outlook email not working

I have been trying to set up my outlook email on the iPhone. I have tried everything. All of the settings were correct. At one time I could receive but not send, then I could send and not recieve. Now I can't do either. I have tried setting it up in POP, IMAP, and Exchage. I think it's a POP account and have left it as such. The account is a company account, thru an ISP. Do I use the company email address or the ISP address when setting it up? Any info on setting up the account on the iPhone would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
    Ben Daily

I use Outlook, I have checked the settings and set up the account on the iPhone with those settings. I have also tried using the simple mail set up on this site, but unfortunatly it does not recognize my ISP. I live in Alaska, and the iPhone is new up here as AT&T has just taken over Dobson. I have contacted the ISP and they informed my to contact AT&T. Since the email acct. is not set up with AT&T, I am not sure how much help they would be.

  • BB10 / Z10 and corporate outlook email integration without BES?

    Hi,
I have tried searching the forums but I can’t seem to find the answer I was hoping for. Currently it still looks like you cannot sync your work email address without BES.
Can someone please confirm for me because I can setup my work outlook email with my iPhone without an issue. It is in fact the primary reason for me leaving BB and if this is resolved I can throw Blackberry back into the mix when deciding on my new phone.
    Thanks,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Well, it depends on what they are facing to the Internet. If they are facing POP or IMAP, you certainly can integrate those. If they are facing OWA, then you may or may not be able to...see this KB for clarification:
KB03133 How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address on BlackBerry smartphone
The very last part would be the most useful, I'd think.
But, in general, if other devices can interface to it, then the Z10 also should be able to. However, lacking any further details, it's pretty much a guessing game for us...so if the above does not prove useful, then please provide additional details.
Most importantly, you may need to skip the auto-config wizard and instead use the Advanced Integration screens, using the same configuration items (e.g., port, server name, etc.) as your other successfully integrated devices use. This may actually be the root cause of your issue (another guess here)...if, for instance, you use the wizard yet your server does not respond back to the Z10 with usable configuration instructions, then it would of course fail to integrate.
    Good luck!

  • Emails disappear on iPhone after opening Outlook and viewing emails there

    Hi everyone,
I have been scouring the net to see if anyone else has this issue and from what I'm seeing there seems to be no real concrete answer that I could find.
I just bought the iPhone 4 and what I was trying to do was sync my work email to my phone, which I was able to do successfully and it works great. The contacts, calendar, and emails sync just fine. I can also view all of my folders that I had set up in Outlook.
Because this set up so beautifully for me, what I tried to do was set up two other employees with the same thing.
They both have the 3GS model. I went in on their phone and used the Exchange method just as I had done on my iPhone 4, also using the same information (except for their user name and password for their email accounts of course).
The verification says that it went through fine but what we noticed was that when they open Outlook to view any of their emails, all of the emails on their iPhone disappear. Everything.
The other thing we noticed was that their folders were also not showing up on their phones, where as my folders were easily accessible on mine.
Overall, they can send and receive. Their contacts, folders, calendars don't sync, and emails disappear once Outlook is opened.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening and know of any solutions to stop the emails from disappearing on their phones?
(One of the guys has iOS 3.1.3 and the other guy has iOS 4.0.2 like my iPhone 4).
    Thanks for any help!

Thank you diesel, I will have to find another way to tell my boss.  Using the Yahoo account and iCloud method he could clear his iPhone of emails and know they would still be on his office computer.  I guess he has a choice to make.
    Thanks again, Louis

  • Emails disappearing on iPhone & iPad after switching from Windows Live to Outlook on PC

I recently changed from Windows Live to Outlook on my PC, now I only see my emails on my iPhone 5 and iPad once, then they disappear. Not all emails are coming through on my ipad or iPhone either.
I have deleted the accounts and re-added. Didn't work.

  • Cannot send email from an iPhone to a Outlook group.

    Hi,
My question is simple and I'd like an exactly same answer : Can iPhone users send emails from their iPhone's to one or more groups created in Outlook?
This is my situation: our organization is using iPhone to provide email, calendar, contact, task etc. to some of their employees. We are using Airwatch MDM Agent on user's iPhone because we have an Airwatch server in place. I have an user and she has an iPhone 5 and she has created some groups in Outlook but these groups are not reflected in her Contacts in the iPhone. I have update her phone with the latest update, although I was almost sure that this was not the issue, then I've found some interesting posts on internet saying that this was a known problem for the users with the previous iOS but I thought this might has been corrected with the iOS, apparently not.
Also I've tried ''the trick'' that is posted on several forums with the iCloud but neither so it's working. I am looking for a straight answer, if this works or not on iPhone's?
    Thanks,
    Sebastian.

There indeed ARE apps in the app store that will do what you want.  Just search and find the one that best fits your needs.

  • I am using the Good for Enterprise app to synch my outlook email and when I try to turn on ICloud to synch my music in ITunes I get a warning that I will not be able to synch my Iphone 4S with my computer.  Does this mean my office PC or home Mac?

I am using Good For Enterprise on my Iphone 4s to connect with my Office PC Outlook email system.  I am having trouble synching my Itunes music from my Mac at home with my IPhone 4s.  I am considering using ICloud to share the music as I also have an IPad2.  When I go to turn on the ICloud application, I get a message that alerts me to the fact I will no longer be able to synch with my computer.  Does that mean with my Office PC and my Outlook email, or my Mac and my home email and other applications?  I want to use the ICloud but don't want to screw up my Good for Enterprise application and connectivity with my Office PC and Outlook email.  What should I do to be able to update all my tunes and photos on my IPhone 4S and IPad2 from my Mac?

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.
