View profile different?

Two questions. First, when I click "view profile" of an account (say A) from my account, and when my friend clicks "view profile" of the same account (account A) from his account, the profile shows differently. One shows gender/language (in addition to city and skype account name), and the other shows nothing but city and skype account name (no gender, no language). Why? Second, when I hover on an account name, there is no last activity, and no last seen on an account. What does that mean? How to make it happen on my account so that when someone hovers mouse on my skype name on his account, it shows no last seen, no last activity? I am asking this because when I block someone, that someone can still see my "last seen", and my "last activity" from his account when he hovers mouse on my skype name. So, blocking does not make your account "last seen", and "last activity" disappear? There is no "remove" option for someone who sent me "request to add to contact", but I did not approve and did not add to my contact (so I have only block option), right? Thanks!

More profile information is shown if users have shared contact details with each other, e.g. after a user has sent a request and the other accepted it.
Also the "Last seen.." and "Last activity..." information is client specific, e.g. you might see different information when checking this in the morning on your work laptop compared to in the evening on your home computer. That's because this information is about when this contact was last seen from that Skype instance, not in the Skype network in general.

now the question: how can i navigate between views of different windows?

Basic Order View - Define View Profiles

In ECC 6.0, we have an option to customize the work order screen as per the busiess needs in the configuration path:
Plant Maintenance and CS -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Functions and Settings for Order Types -> Basic Order View -> Define View Profiles
Question -> Is there a view profile defined by SAP for standard SAP work order screen?
We have a requirement to modify the standard SAP work order screen where we have to add additional tabs. Since there is no profile defined for standard SAP work order screen, we have to build from the scratch which takes a lot of time.
Any suggestions?

Thanks SN. Yes, I am aware of the user exit and also that we can configure the screens of work order in ECC 6.0 using SPRO but the only problem is that we have to build it from scratch. My question was to know if SAP had standard screen templates or profiles like they have for Notiification. Anyways thanks for your response, I got the below response from SAP for my question.

Design View appears differently w/GoDaddy

Hi,
You will have to assign the view profiles to equipment categories.
Goto SPRO>PM&CS>Master data in PM & CS>Technical Objects>Equipment categories-->Maintain Equipment category and Execute ,Then Assign the profile Standard to the Equipment Categories.
After doing these settings, when u create equipment with that category then it displays the sub screen.

However, one tiny problem still persists: When I execute konqueror --profile <profile_name> %f, a Konqueror window split into four opens, one showing the optical device but the other three are void. My view profile indeed splits the window into 4 sub-windows, but what I'm trying to do is basically view the optical device in one sub-window while the others show two certain websites and one samba shared folder.
I know it sounds weird, but is it at least possible?

Sorry for intervention. I have just tried "test"-ing the FM PFL_MODIFY_PARAMETER. When you test(F8) it, in the following screen you will have "import parameters" and "Tables" sections.
In the tables section you have PAR_VALUE_TAB, PAR_COMMENT_TAB, PAR_TAB.You can double click on the PAR_VALUE_TAB and in the next screen it will ask Profile name and the parameter you want to change.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

Equipment View Profiles????

I have a question about the equipment views profiles
After creating eq. category X there was four standard views BUT after creating the view profile and assign it eq. category only the views in this profile appear and the other four is not appear ??????
As i know the profiles is created to add new tabs/screens why the standard ones is not appear and what is the solution.

What are the four standard view that doesn't appear. Even if yuo do not assign the view profile to the equipment category ,system will display some standard view while creating equipment master like General data.Location etc.if you assign the view profile to the equipment category then it will overrite the standard one .hence whatever the tabs mentioned in the View profile will only get displayed

Using different configured views for different user group in crm2007

Want to clarify if the BADI (Configuration Access Determination BADI ; BSP_DLC_ACCESS_ENHANCEMENT) is used as design time or Run time. By looking the help of this BADI it says "This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the UI Configuration Tool (CRM-FRW-CON) component." Looks like this is at configuration time not at run time.
The actual requirement is that for a set of users which work on a particular department, we want to have some extra information on 2 views and rest of the views they would be using same as entire organization. We are inclined towards using config role rather than zviews. If we were to use zviews then it would not be a difficult one.
We were thinking of a mechanism to show the configured view based on user's Business Role at runtime. e.g. we have 2 roles A and B. Role A user have only 2 views specific to them and all other views they use same as Role B. We do not want to use ZView rather use Role Config Key to distinguish the views. What I was thinking that we should be able to create these 2 views with Config Role A and all views (including these 2) with Config Role B. On Business Role A and Business Role B both, We will assign Config Role "B". but at runtime system should determine if the Business Role is A and Component is CMP1 then use the view V1 with Config Role A not the default view with config role B. (we can maintain that information in a Z table). This is not based on runtime profile but to use configured view at runtime.
Any thoughts/ help really appreciated.

you can use badi CRM_BP_UIU_VIEW_CONFIG of enhancement spot CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT for your requirements. Please read the badi documentation because you need also a implementation of badi CRM_BP_UIU_CONFIG_CALLBACK (same spot). SAP considers badi CRM_BP_UIU_VIEW_CONFIG only for use at dynamically loading different configuartions of view details for business partners or contact persons at runtime. But you can use your badi implementation also for other views. You have to redefine method DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION in your views. And call your badi from there. For this copy&paste the logic of DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION of bp details to the views you have to load dynamically at runtime.
We have used this approach for access controll and granting special access to views dependent on different employee functions.

PDF font viewed Evince different than actual PDF font?

The title says it all. I'm getting a very strange girly font (no offense, but the i's are dotted with hearts) being rendered for all the text on the PDF. Some PDFs that I view in Evince retain their original font. I have no idea why this is happening, and neither do I have this font on my computer. I am so definitely sure about that. Does anyone have ideas?
I'm using Gnome3 if that matters any.

Have you tried a different pdf viewer? Gimp or inkscape can view pdf files or pages. Epdfview is a lightweight, less feature-full alternative to Evince.
It might help to identify the font. You probably have the poppler package installed. If so, you can use 'pdffonts' to list the fonts used in the problem file. The mupdf package includes 'pdfinfo-mupdf' that can also be used to list the fonts used in a pdf-file.

Cannot view Profile Manager Portal

I can use some help here. Clean install of 10.7 Loin + Server app. Everything went fine. The server (Mac Mini) is configured as an OD Master with these services running - Address book, iCal, File Sharing, Mail, VPN, Web and Profile Manager. DNS checks out fine using the changeip commeand -
The names match. There is nothing to change.

When I'm in Profile Manager and I click on "Visit user portal" I get Safari can't connect... I've downloaded and setup Apple's Push SSL's and configured a self signed SSL. Everything looks like its in their correct place. I confirmed the Mini is online by surfing the www. When I go into the web server module and click "View Server Web Site" I get the same message.
All other services seem to be working fine except for Web and Profile Manager. I'm attaching three screen shots - 1) Safari 2) Console All Messages 3) Web Server Error Log. Any ideas on what's going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Try this in Terminal.app:
cd /etc/apache2/sites
sudo -s # become admin--you will have to enter your password here

cp virtual_host_global.conf.default virtual_host_global.conf
exit # go back to being a normal user
Then go back to Server.app and restart your services.

ICal gets "stuck" on date - can't view a different week without quitting

I haven't seen anyone else post this, but it's getting really annoying. Every now and then, iCal gets "stuck" on a particular week. If I click on a new date in the calendar, it is highlighted, but the date I am on remains highlighted as well, and the week view does not change to the new week.
When I am clicking on "To Dos" the list magically moves from the item I am clicking to another item on an earlier date - essentially the list scrolls to the top of the list, and instead of clicking on the item I want, I am clicking on whatever item is in the bottom of the window when viewed from the top of the list. When this happens, the week view changes to the week of that "To Do" item's due date, and - again - will not let me change the week that I'm viewing.
Anyone know of something I can delete or purge or cross out with a magic marker to make this stop happening?

Actually, I only addressed your first complaint about the view being stuck to a specific week when a todo item in that week is selected.
It turns out I am also experiencing something that looks like your second complaint, about the wrong todo item being selected when you try to click on one. What I am seeing is the following: just like you can't show a date and its events outside of the current week if a todo item in the current week is selected, you can't show a todo item outside of the current week if an event in the current week is selected. If you scroll down and try to select the todo item, the list scrolls back up automatically, and you end up selecting a different todo item in the current week.
I also reported this to Apple in the same bug report.
So, good rules of thumb are the following:
- If you want to select/show an event or a day outside of the current week, make sure you first select an event in the current week;
- If you want to select a todo item outside of the current week, make sure you first select a todo item in the current week.
Hope this helps, while the guys at Apple are (hopefully) working on a fix. But I am rather pessimistic. My experience with bugs I reported in the past is that they are only fixed if they are critical, security-related bugs. If they are just usability bugs with workarounds like this one, they are only fixed in the next major release of OS X. But let's cross our fingers. There are so many people complaining about iCal on these forums that Apple might want to do something about it. But people who have complaints or requests about a product should send them directly to Apple, and assume by default that they are not reading this forum.

Table and Materialized View in different namespaces?

I've just faced something completly new for me. It appears that there are two objects with the same name and owner. Table and Materialized View have the same names and when I look into system dictionary I can se sth. like that:

(I couldn't find how to write above with const length font).
Two object in different namespace? I thought that Tables and Materialized Vievs have the same namespace.
Can you please tell me how can I create objects to achieve above result? I would also be grateful if you tell me where to find that topic in documentation.

How do I write code for a website that is viewed in different browsers?

Hello. My website looks fine when using the Firefox and Safari browsers. But when I went to the library and viewed it using Internet Explorer, it looks bad. It doesn't look the way I want it to. Many of the elements are in different positions, etc. I thought about how to correct this. And I'm guessing that another html file can be created with another style sheet attached and designed just for Internet Explorer. But then I thought about how the server would determine which file to use when the visitor types in the URL. I have no idea how to do this. I would greatly appreciate knowing how to write code that enables visitors, whether they use Firefox or Internet Explorer, to view my website that has the same style and elements in the correct positions on each webpage. Thank you very much.

You need to close your img tags (shown below in red).

Your home page looks OK in IE8 & 9 but looks bad in Compatablity Mode (which is essentially IE7). Try adding this META tag just below your <title> tags. This will force older IE browser into IE8 or IE9 standards mode if it's available. IE7 is pretty much obsolete now.

How can i set the order of my accounts in favourite folders compact view? the order of the accounts in this view is different from the original order :(

i set up the desired order of the accounts (tools/options/advanced/general/config editor/mail.accountmanager.accounts) and when i switch to favourite folders compact view (view/folders/favourite + compact view), the order is totally different, hence i dont have the desired order in this view, but i want to use tb in this view, because this is the most appropriate to manage multiple folders, thank you for your help in advance, Joe (win7)

I don't think manually changing things via config editor is a good idea. You may reverse those changes before trying the extension.
