View Selector - Switch issue between Graph and Table Data

Hi:
We have created the report with both Table view and Chart View. Both of them has been added to the View Selector and added to the Dashboard. While performing the testing we found that sometimes the Switch between the views are not happening. Meaning when we try to switch from Chart View to Table View, the View changes in the drop down but the original Graph to table will not switch. In order to make that happen we need to try 3 or 4 times across the drop downs from Table to Chart and then chart to table.
Did any one face the similar issue. Any suggestions or insights on this.

here are a few tips...
1. what is the table field with the right value? and is this table field in the *itm extractor?
2. can you include this field into the extractor?
3. could it be a calculated value?

Basically ALV is a way to display the output and Table Control is designed in screen painter through which you can get entries in Table Control, can delete some records etc for further processing and its not use only for Display.

What is the best font to be used in graphs and tables?

I want to know what is the best font (or the most used) for discoverer10g graphs and tables.
I used Arial, Dialog, Veranda, 7, 8, 9 but it seems that there is a space between letters especially on the graph. I’m looking for a font that does not have this space between letters.
Any help will be appreciated.

Compatibility issues between R12 and report builder 2.5

I just want to know if there are issues between R12 and (Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5)? I have been using 6i since I started in the oracle so I'm a little new to this.

As my understanding there is no issue for Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5 with R12.
You can develop report with Report 6i can be deployed with R12.You cannot use Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5 or Developer (Forms/Reports) 6i with Oracle EBs R12 as it is not certified. The only supported version is Developer 10g

after you have sorted your data, you can use the InRange Function. Combined with a "search 1D Array" you'll get the range you really want.

Relation between master and transaction data

Hi experts,
I have a basic question how the relation between masterdata and transction data is maintained in R/3. As I know first we extract master data and later transaction data in a typical R/3 based scenario.
1.How does BW knows that , the transaction data are related masterdata in the same sense as in R/3 ?
I am involved in an enhancement of R/3 extractor. I need to derive 3 more fields and map it to info objects in BW. Cld any one explain me ( with an example plz) how these alignments to be made. How can I establish relation b/w derived fields and transaction data during extractions ?

Hi Dave.
Let's see if I can get all of your questions answered. First, when Transactional Data is loaded, BW checks to see if a SID exists for each characterisatic field & value in the load. If one doesn't, it either creates a SID (Surregate ID) in the master data tables (default action) or the load fails (if the enforece referential intgegrity flag is set). It's better to load master data first in either case as it will improve the performance of the transactional load.
In terms of R/3, the data has similar relationships as in BW. There are master data tables and transactional data tables. The difference is that while R/3 uses ~1 master data table per field, BW uses more. Same thing for transactional data.
As for your enhancement, if everything you need for the derivation of the extra field is in R/3, then you can enhance the extractor in RSA6 and do the mapping in R/3. Once you replicate the DataSource to BW and reconnect the transformation & update rules, the load should work. If you can give a bit more information on what sort of enhancement you are attempting, I can give a better example.

In addition to above differences. Below is the functional difference between 0FI_AP_30 & 0FI_AP_4:
0FI_AP_4 gives you accounts payable line items in your report. Here GL account shows the balances of particular types of vendors/payables to which that particular GL account is been assigned.
And If subledger is activated in ECC, then by using 0FI_AP_30 you can get the break up of that particular GL balance according to vendors.
To make use of datasource 0FI_AP_30, subledger accounting must be activated in ECC.

Francesco, Thank you for the feedback. With this component it was my intention to make a more "terse" version of the LabVIEW Flatten to XML VI that was also supported on RT and that gave the user more flexbility regarding the structure of the parsing type definition. I think you are right that the XML parser is not compliant to section 2.11 of the XML spec. The parser does specifically looking for a #D#A and this appears to be an oversight on my part. Please confirm for me, the specifcation is saying that the XML parser should be able to recognize three possibilities as an "end of line" character: #D#A, #D, or #A. Am I reading this right?There are more efficient (and in some cases much more efficient) ways of sharing data between LabVIEW and LabVIEW: some examples are flattened binary strings and the datalog binary format. XML is slower than these optons but the upside is that it is human readable. Furthermore XML is inherently hierarchical which is convenient for complex data structures like clusters of arrays of clusters, etc. If you don't care about human readability then you are correct XML doesn't make as much sense.I will return to the GXML source code and try to fix this in the near future but I would hope that instead of creating yet another custom VI from scratch that you could reuse what I have provided for you. I included enough documentation in the source code so that users could make some modificiations themselves. The target application for this reference library was LabVIEW to LabVIEW communication. As such I documented the schema on the dev zone document from a LabVIEW perspective. It includes all the supported datatypes and all the supported data structures (cluters, arrays, multidimensional arrays, clusters of multidimensional arrays, etc.) I do see some value in making a more conventional XML spec but the time investment required didn't really line up with my intended use case. How can I make a differentiation between dependent and independent data?

If you double click a Transfer requirement in SE10 or SE09 and then press F4 in the field category, you will find some helpful information.
Client dependent or independent transfer requirements include client specific or cross client objects in the change requests. Workbench objects like SAPscripts are client specific, some entries in customizing are client independent.
If you display the object list for one change request, and then for each object the object attributes, you will find the flag client specific.
If one object in the task list has this flag on, then that transport will be client dependent.
You can also find a list of the high class objects in SAP, here you will see the flag on/off. Use TCODE SOBJ.
Start STMS and double click on the request itself, you will see which type of request it is (Workbench -> client independent or Customizing -> client dependent).
I recommend you to import every request on each client without looking inside the request.
