View tooltip in web browser

I have a pdf ticket application document to which I have added some form fields (using acrobat x pro)
The document seems to work as expected, so I uploaded it to my site.
When I open the pdf document in chrome, the form works ok, but the tooltips do not appear on mouseover,
In IE 11, it works fine, (not often I say that)
In firefox, it is not intreactive at all
I wondered if I was doing something wrong,

Chrome (and Firefox) now have their own PDF viewer plugins, which are far from perfect when it comes to forms. My guess is you're viewing the files in these plugins, and not in the Acrobat/Reader plugin, and therefore you're having these problems.
Follow these instructions to use the Adobe plugin for best results: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/display-pdf-browser-acrobat-xi.html

  • Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in web browser error

I have a new computer and have Acrobat Pro installed.  When I try to click on PDF links in browsers, I get an error:
Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in web browser.
I want to be able to open these links using Acrobat Pro.  What can I do in Internet Explorer so I don't always receive these errors, and so pdfs automatically open using Acrobat Pro?
    Steve

Because it was not designed for Windows 7 doesn't mean it cant run.
If you install the applications as administrator, you shouldn't have problems. I have installed both Reader and Pro versions on Windows 7 32 and 64 bit without problems, as long as I did it as administrator. You right click on the setup and select Run as Administrator. You don't need to do it for updates if you go through the update option on the help panel.

  • Cannot View PDF in Web Browser error

Using windows XP sp3 has adobe reader 9 on it...
Installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro extended was trouble prone enough, but now there is more...
When trying to open a PDF in a browser window, you get the following dialog error message (sample site:http://support.apple.com/manuals/#iphone)
"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try again."
For the cost of this program, I expected better. The above was not a problem before installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro extended.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    bob

I did a google search and found a fix that was a bunch of registry entries that worked for me:

It is just anoying to spend this kind of money on a piece of software and have so many problems out of the box.
Yes, I have run the updater software.
What is the phone number for adobe support?

  • JMF works in Applet View, but in web browser, cannot find device

I'm developing an Applet which can capture image from a web camera.
It's working very well in the applet view, but it says "No devices" error message through web browser.
How can I make it work? How can I find device on the web browser?
I changed permission using "java JMFRegistry", and tried signed Jar.
    Anyone can help me?
or some of samples would be appreciated...

  • Viewing iCal via Web Browser Without phpical or iwebcal?

I am neither adept nor savvy in the command line or installing things through the terminal, therefore, if anyone knows a idiot-proof way to view iCals in a web browser off of an in-house WebDAV server, I'm all ears.

My last comment on this is.
I'm using the gmail calendar, and have a program called "Spanning Sync"
    to synchronize them.
If .mac could provide me with a working Calendar functionality, I would
have bought it. But now I'm content with using gmail instead.
Of course .mac has other functionality, but I only need email and calendar,
sync:ed and accessible from work, home-mac and mobile.
I think eventually, Apple will realize that their Calendar solution can be
    improved and do this.

  • View Application in Web Browser

I am using LV8 as my programming environment and want to publish my built application (or at least one or two vi's that make up the application) so that other users can view it via their web browser.  Right now I'm testing my application on the same computer that I'm using to view the software, so the client and server are the same computer.
I have gone through Tools-->Options to Configure the Web Server, set Browser Access to "*" so that everyone can view the web page, and under Visible VI's I've selected the top-level vi in my project.  I then opened this vi, and accessed Tools-->Web Publishing Tool.  I selected my vi from the pull-down list, and continued to use all of the default values as I went through the setup.  When this was done I built my application.
When I was done, I left the main vi open, opened my browser (IE) and directed it to the html document.  It correctly opened my main vi.  I then went to the main vi and ran it, and it showed that it was running in the browser.  That was great.
Then I closed the vi (leaving my project open), and the image in my browser went away.  That was what was expected.
Next I ran my built application and refreshed my browser.  It still showed my correct "Title", and text "before and after the VI panel image", however the image did not show up and instead I got the error message "Requested VI is not loaded into memory on the server computer".
Can anyone give any suggestions on how to fix this?  I've been all over LV help and the NI knowledgebase, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.  In the Web Publishing Tool should I be somehow selecting my application instead of the vi?

    Hi, Steve.
I've never encountered that error before, but it sounds to me like you've configured something incorrectly in your INI file. Many of those INI settings can be configured just as easily from the Tools>>Options dialog box -- and I recommend setting them from there (instead of just adding lines to the INI file). Let's temporarily remove your INI file from the LabVIEW directory, restart LabVIEW, and then configure the web server from the Options dialog. (LabVIEW will create a new INI file for you.) After you've done that, I bet the error won't occur. (And then you can just copy the non-web-server-related lines from your INI file into the new one that LabVIEW created.)
Let me know how this works! Have a nice evening.

  • Page showing up differently in design view then in web browser

I am working on creating a page that advertises two products
that we are selling. I have a table that shows up just how I want
it to in design view. As soon as I view it in live view or in a
browser it shows up differently. It is like table rows are being
    invisibly inserted.
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?
    Thanks

Here is the code for the page that I am working on:

  • Captivate 8 - can't zoom in/out to view content in web browser

I'm running Captivate 8 on PC Win7-64bit. After publishing a simulation module (Flash SWF) to HTML for viewing in different browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox), we can't zoom in or out of module like we can in Captivate 5. You'd typically can press CTLT +/- to zoom/out to resize text or graphics for better viewing. I can rescale the browser window but not the content inside. What's the resolution to this issue? Anyone out there?
    thanks,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Same thing happened to me...I'm assuming this is because you didn't create your project as a "Responsive" project.  If you need to convert an old project, you have to go to File > New Project > Responsive Project and then open your old project and COPY/PASTE the slides into the responsive project.  Obviously, your shapes / objects might rearrange but they are usually easy to adjust. However, if you have a quiz attached I believe you will have to re-add from scratch (that was my experience anyways).  Also, don't forget to activate your "Mobile Gestures".  All of this will allow you to zoom as much as you want. The drawback of using the Responsive project is that it ONLY publishes in HTML5 (Not SWF, MP4, etc.)  Hope this helps!

  • Viewing PDF in web browser in Acrobat 6.0

I still have Acrobat 6.0, and PDFs won't open in my browser (Internet Explorer). When I go into Edit then Preferences then Internet, the box for "Display PDF in browser" is checked but it's gray rather than black, so I can't uncheck it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

It may be the installation of the Reader caused the problem. Acrobat and Reader and not recommended for installation on the same machine because of some strange interactions. You might try a repair of AA6.

  • .flv movie quits when viewing in web browser

I'm still having problems with my flash movies. I'm using the
.flv playback component in flash and when I preview my movie (an
.flv file) in flash it plays all the way through, but when I view
through a web browser the movie quits after 25 seconds (it's 30
seconds long). At 25 seconds in, the movie freezes (like when a DVD
movie freezes/messes up and the jumbled up boxes appear) and then
the movie quits even though it didn't have any problems loading.
I've encoded using Adobe Media Encoder 5 different times and
rerendered the movie from After Effects but am still having a
problem. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

The jquery is there to animate the marquee, so even without the JS file the div container should still be showing up right? Part of the video tutorial said to switch to "live view" to make sure one of the div containers was positioning correctly, and when I do this nothing happens. It works for the guy on the tutorial so I am not sure what I am doing differently. Since it is not working at this point I have not added the jQuery, should I just assume it is a JQuery problem and continue on? I just don't understand why it is showing up in design view but just a blank white page in live view.

  • PDF-in web browser - open link in new window

I've done a lot of searching for JavaScript code to solve this: if a PDF is being viewed in a web browser, and the user clicks a link in that PDF, the default is to have the linked page replace the original. I would like it to open a new window in the browser. E.g., if there is a link in the PDF to abc.com, then when the user clicks that link, the original PDF stays open and a new window opens to abc.com. Any help?

In the JavaScript for Acrobat API Reference look up the app.launchURL() method. The second parameter is a boolean value that describes whether or not you want the URL to open in a new window.

  • Box with rounded corners displays as rectangle in Web Browser

I am using the box control (IBoxObject) in my Crystal Reports with rounded corners. However the box displays as a rectangle with square corners when viewed in a web browser. I have tried this in IE 7.0.5730.13, Firefox 3.0.3 and Chrome 0.2.149.30 all give the same problem.
The interesting thing is that the boxes display correctly at design time and when exported to PDF, but they wonu2019t display correctly in IE/Firefox/Chrome. Here are the specific settings for the box:
                    CornerEllipseHieght = 375
                    CornerEllipseWidth = 375
                    Crystal Reports Version 10.5.3700.0
I have also attached an image to try and clarify the problem.
[Picture showing Box at design time, in a Web browser and when exported to PDF|http://i38.tinypic.com/10p6k1v.jpg]
Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.
    -John

Thank you Ted, this was my take on the problem but it is good to have a confirmation.
There are CSS (HTML) solutions for creating boxes with rounded corners, such as [SpiffyBox|http://www.spiffybox.com/] and [CSS Rounded Box Generator|http://www.neuroticweb.com/recursos/css-rounded-box/index.php?idioma=en] and many more that can be found using [Google|http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cssboxeswithroundedcorners&btnG=Google+Search&meta=].
Do you know of any plans to support rounded corners in the future?
    Thanks for your help!

  • Published a site in iweb but looks different in the web browser

    Hi,
I have published a site in iWeb but it looks different when viewed in the web browser having published a few times.
The pictures have small frames around which display perfectly i niweb but do not show in browser?
The navigation menu is all showing in iweb but again not showing in the web browser?
Not sure what I am doing wrong? I have tried to publish a few times.. checked that all the tick boxes show 'display navigation menu' etc?
    Thanks
    Toni

Since you do not provide real varifiable, factual information I searched for :

    Is this you?
    http://www.tonidarcy.co.uk/toni_darcy_photographer/toni_darcy._photographer._wel come..html
I noticed on the Pricing page that I cannot click the Gallery link. Something covering it?
    Other pages have similar behaviour.
And there's no link for the home page. Perhaps you're hiding it.
And see if you can use a shorter, and different, Sitename. It is clear who you are. And just welcome is enough.
    And empty the browser cache.

  • BADI - BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER - Debuging in web browser

    Scenario:
The end user will launch a catalogue via the EBP system. The user will search for materials and services within the catalogue search engine. The materials and services will be displayed with the numbers from the R/3 system. The end user will select the services and materials from the catalogue and the data will be transferred via OCI interface into the shopping cart of the EBP system. The master data for materials and services within the catalogue won’t contain any leading zeros like in the R/3 system.
    Requirement:
I want to stuff leading zeros to the material/service number when data gets transfered, so I am trying to use BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI. I have stated coding ENRICH_ITEM_DATA method but unable to test the data. I like to know how to debug the code... since I am viewing it in web browser breakpoint is not working... how to put some message or write statement and view it in browser... and which parameter I need to use to get material no.
    Advance thanks.
    Regards,
    Balaji Viswanath.

If you set an internal break point in Badi ENRICH_ITEM_DATA then the BADI code ‎does not stop, but if you set an external break point in the code with the same user that is ‎used to run the shopping cart then the it will stop at that external breakpoint in the BADI.‎
    ‎ ‎
I have done this on a number of occasions.‎
The trick that I stated above :- ‎
‎1) Login as i.e. EBPREQ2 set the External Break point ‎
in the code this will be active for the next 2 hours for User EBPREQ2.‎
‎2) Then bring up the Browser then login as EBPREQ2 ‎
into SRM and go shopping then when you submit order ‎
R3 will do a stop inside that BADI.‎
