Viewing a nano slideshow on a tv

anyone have an idea why the nano slideshow cannot be viewed on a tv?

Are you using a universal dock or a cable to connect right to the T.V.?

As mentioned, the nano does not have video out capability so you can not view your pictures on the TV as a slide show.

HT2265 for some reason the only photos that do the random scrolling are events, can I include the albums from iphoto to scroll as well. the know the albums have synced because i can view them in slideshow

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I assume you are referring to the screensaver. You can change the photos used by the screensaver in the screensaver settings. Note if you have a large number of photos in the collection you choose for screensaver, not all of them will be used due to the limited storage available to the Apple TV.

Viewing Ipod NANO photos externally

I love my new Ipod Nano (4gb model) but can't figure out why they would give us the capability to load photos but no capability to then view these on something like a tv, etc. Is there anything out there that will allow me to display the photos using the slideshow on my nano but to something larger than the tiny color screen on my nano? I understand the larger Ipod's will let you port out photos/video to a tv or projector so it seems rather like a poor design to give you the ability to put the photos on your nano but then no way to display them for others to see.

Ipod nano slideshow with music?

I just purchased the ipod nano(2gb).I have loaded songs and photos.How do I start a slideshow with music? I click on photo and then slideshow settings.Slide is set to three seconds.I click on slideshow music and then click on now playing.Slideshow does not start when i go back to a picture group and no music.What am I doing wrong or is this not a function of my ipod nano?

How do I make iPod Classic import (sync) photos via iTunes so that the photos stay in order by filename and can then be viewed as a slideshow in the correct order?

I carefully number my iPod bound photos so that they are in a desired order by filename. When I sync the photos to my iPod Classic they are not in the same order. A typical filename would be: 001 001 IMG-3489.jpg followed by 001 002 IMG-3478.jpg. Windows uses the first seven characters to order the files and does not care what follows the first seven so long as the first seven are not duplicated within the folder. My iPod ignores that convention. HELP! PLEASE! I want to view my slideshows in the correct order.

Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
Sync your library.

Can Apple TV play wmv, ppt or view Photoshop Bridge slideshows?

I am considering purchasing Apple TV. I am hoping that I can replace the HDMI cable from my MacBook Pro to my HD TV with the Apple TV setup. Now I view wmv and ppt files playing on my MacBook on my HD TV and Adobe Bridge slideshows. That is in addition to NetFlix and movies.
My motivation to purchase Apple TV is to view MLB.com games on my HD TV which I can not reliably do when I choose the fill screen option in the MLB media player. If I do so do I would like to not have to use my present HDMI cable any longer.

I cannot view my Flash slideshows in Firefox but I can in Safari. Why?

I have created some Flash multimedia packages for my company. You can view them on a PC fine, and you can view them on a Mac, but only if you view them in Safari with a FlipMac4 WMV installed. That is because you only have code for IE with an ActiveX classid. Firefox ignore object tags with a cklass ID.

PSE8 Viewer Option for Slideshow?

Hello
with Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Editon Viewer option it was possible to perform
a slideshow from a file without importing all the pictures into Starter Edition.
Of course this Starter Edition Viewer was a very simple slideshow nothing fancy
but it was very straight forward and easy to use.
Is there a way in PSE8 to use a file as input for the slideshow without importing all the
pictures I would like to include in the slideshow?

Call up the slideshow editor without preselecting any photos, then click the Add media button at the top of the window and you can navigate to folders on your hard drive and choose images there.

Can't view photos or slideshow

sorry, i'm a real beginer - my photos seem to be imported into iphoto beacause i can see the thumnails, but when i run slideshow there are no images. what have i done wrong. thanks for help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Inside those Year-based folders (2003, 2006, 2007) are folders with the same names as the Film Rolls in your iPhoto library. Those roll-based folders should contain your actual image files. iPhoto doesn't always deal properly with importing folders that contain subfolders. So drag each roll-based folder into the iPhoto window, and a Film Roll will be created for them in your new library.
The iPhoto Window is the main viewing area, as seen inside the iPhoto application. With a new library, it is the large empty area of the screen. If you drag the lower-right corner of that window so that it occupies about half of your monitor, you can then click back and forth between the folders you are importing from the Finder and the iPhoto window. Select the roll folders from the Finder window, then drag them over the iPhoto window and drop them there. iPhoto should then indicate to you that photos are being imported.

Survey View and Reordering Slideshow Images

I'm sure you all know this one but I searched the forum to learn how to rearrange Slideshow images and the only answer was "...you just drag them around." That didn't seem to work for me. I went to Library Module, selected my Folder, selected Survey View (the choices down toward the bottom where one finds the various view options). In Survey View, one can move the images around into your personal order. Go back to Thumbnail view and images are where you want them -- so is your Slideshow. Please forgive me for injecting this when you probably know this but I didn't (and maybe someone else out there doesn't know this)

No Such thing as a limited version. Only dif is a serial number. Press 'T' for Toolbar and one of the Icons on it is for Survey Mode. Keyboard Shortcut 'N'.

Viewing power point slideshows

Before I had my Imac, I was able to view power point presentations on a Dell computer as a continuous slideshow complete with sound. Now when someone sends me a power point file, I can only open it and view each slide separately. Is there some way to view these slideshows the way I once did on my old computer?

If you have MS Office for Mac installed on your iMac then please re-post your question on the Office for Mac Product Forums . BTW you should indicate what version of MS Office for Mac you have installed. If you do not have MS Office for Mac then you will need that.

Is it possible for me to view a Powerpoint slideshow in Keynote??

My professor gives us the options to download and view her powerpoint slide shows on our laptops or print them out.. But I can't seem to get it to work. I looked into Powerpoint for Mac, and tried to download the 60 day free trial, but it wouldn't open properly. Same thing with Powerpoint viewer '98, and '04. All of them wouldn't open correctly.
Any help on how I can view Powerpoint slides on my Macbook Pro?

Keynote should open PowerPoint presentations, but your best bet may be to look at the free Open Office or NeoOffice suites, as they are designed specifically to be compatible with MS Office.

Viewing a video / slideshow, consecutively on fith generation ipod

I have seen an ipod and a monitor/tv displaying the same images / video simultaneously. I want to do the same. What combination of ipod/cables/tv/monitor/Computer(?)/configuration do I need to do the same?
Connecting my ipod 80gb to my tv only displays on one device.
How do I make both devices display the same at the same time?
bronze laptop, ipod video 80gb, lots of PC's, Apple server, 8100's, my first computer was a dell 316sx with a 20mb hard drive and 750k extended memory!!

I found out how it works...
A slideshow was produced in iMovie. The movie was transfered to the iPod, the iPod was powered by the monitor via usb, both the computer playing the slideshow and the iPod were synched so that they independantly were showing the same frames.
There was no physical mirroring at all, it was all done with mirrors
