Viewing Adobe TV episodes offline

How can I save Adobe TV episodes so that I can view them offline?
I have saved the epsodes and they appear in my Adobe 'My Library' but I cannot find them in my computer.

thanks John. I ended up using Real Player downloader. I don't recommend if you can't control it though. It does an update to some kind of Cloud program, then defaults to searching your computer every minute, wanting to upload videos to Cloud storage. That messed up my laptop into wanting me to trash it due to non-responsiveness, until I deleted enough programs to isolate the problem to Real Player downloader, where I disabled the 'search computer every minute' ridiculous option. Works with Internet Explorer, maybe with Google Chrome, but you'ld probably have to master the options lists.

  • Downloading Adobe TV episodes for offline viewing?

Is it possible to download Adobe TV episodes for offline viewing? I am in an area with bad internet connectivitiy and would like to store the episodes to watch from my local hard drive. After googling, it seems like there isn't much in the way out there. Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes, It is possible to download Adobe tv episodes for offline viewing when you want, where you want. Adobe TV fits your busy life with online or offline viewing via the Adobe Media Player. Quickly click in and get help immediately so you can finish a project, or download programs for offline viewing anytime and anyplace.
There is a work around.  At YouTube there are Channels.  Like "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom , Illustrator " .  Adobe has put all, or nearly all, of the their video tutorials there.  There are various 3rd party, downloadable utilities that will capture YouTube videos.  The one I use is called "YTD Video Downloader".  In addition to their free version, there is a paid for version that is supposed to be faster.

  • Viewing Flash as QT Offline?

Is there a way to download Adobe Flash media off the net and view it on your offline through Quicktime or another application?

VideoDownloader 1.1 for Firefox works wonderfully for the .flv files in pre-defined URLs, such as Youtube.
However, I noticed that it has problems capturing Flash videos from sites not on their list of supported URLs.
As an alternative, I recommend the FLVR 1.0 plug-in for Safari. It's capable of not only capturing Flash video from pretty much any site, but also has built-in conversion tools to automatically save as an .mp4, .mov, or .avi.
It's definitely worth the $15 registration fee.

  • Problem with viewing Adobe PDF documents

Problem with viewing Adobe PDF documents
I have a Windows 7 Home Premium Computer
I have read all the suggestions and I have tried downloading multiple versions of Adobe Reader for Windows 7 and Vista from http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/.
Prior to downloading each version I would delete the current version using  control panel programs uninstall.
After each new installation I would shut down the computer and then restart the computer.
I have tried downloading versions with and without having my antivirus (CA Total Defence) running.
I am told after download that the version downloaded successfully.
I have read Acrobat Help http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-reader-installation-windows.html and followed the instructions.
None of the above has helped.
The problem is no matter what version of Adobe Reader I download, I cannot seem to open a PDF and read it. Nor will the Reader itself stay open.
    1. If I try opening the reader from the desktop link or from the actual program menu, the reader opens for about 5 seconds and then closes of its own accord. If I try to click on any of the reader menus (eg File, Edit, View, Window, Help, Tools) then a warning bell is sounded and the menu does not open. Shortly thereafter the reader closes.
    2. If I try to open the reader by double clicking on a PDF document then the reader opens but the document is not shown (only the grey PDF reader screen is shown) and then the reader closes after about 5 seconds of its own accord.
The desktop shortcut shows as the 'red Adobe Reader icon'. But the actual program menu icon shows as a blank folder icon.  All PDF documents show as the PDF Adobe icon.
I have tested various PDFs and none will open on this computer but they will open on other computers.
I have created a word document and saved it as a PDF. It looked like it had save correctly (has the appropriate icon) but when I try to open it as per step 2 above then the document is not shown and then the reader closes after about 5 seconds of its own accord.
Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on and how I can fix this?
Could you please answer in this forum and email me at [removed]
I am so puzzled and frustrated.

Thank you so much this did the trick.
I spent so many hours on trying to sort this out and your answer was so  simple and clear.

  • Hidden network drives "home" and "net" shown in folder view Adobe Bridge CS5 / Lion Problem

Updated to Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion and got this "problem":
The hidden network drives "home" and "net" shown in folder view Adobe Bridge CS5 (unlike in 10.6 Snow Leopard).
Normally these network drives are hidden (in Finder and other Apps) - but Adobe Bridge CS5 is showing them, despite "show hidden files" is unchecked in Adobe Bridge.
Not a dramatic "bug", but it also shouldn't be a big problem for Adobe Bridge engineers to solve this. My first question to the Adobe Support was answered like: "we don't know what Apple did change, so we cannot do anything". Hmmm, are you serious?
I tried to resolve that problem by myself but failed. So, if an Adobe engineer is reading this post: perhaps Adobe Bridge is ignoring the automounter master map (that was my approach to resolve it):
    # Automounter master map
    +auto_master                    # Use directory service
    /net           -hosts                 -nobrowse,hidefromfinder,nosuid
    /home                                        auto_home       -nobrowse,hidefromfinder
    /Network/Servers               -fstab
    /-                              -static
You cannot do anything to these folders, so it is not a serious issue, but, I mean, did someone at Adobe check compatibiliy with 10.7 and ignored this issue? If so, are there an other issues ignored?
But I guess, the compatibilty update for Bridge CS5 for Lion is Bridge CS6 - to be fair: I also have to say, that in general Bridge is running okay on Mac OS X 10.7.2 (but could be better, as always;)

    Hi Curt Y,
thanks for your answer! Yes you' re right, I forgot to mention that ... before I posted here, I sent a bug report via the Apple Bug Report webpage about the issue ... of course, here are 2 parties involved.
I had a similiar problem once and I got a meesage back from Apple: "that it is a 3rd party problem, sorry" (it was about color management).
I am just a user and I often feel very strange about Apple's (topsecret) communication behaviour ... Whatever, what do I know about software engineering? - Right.
Maybe someone on this forum has an idea, because I'm afraid, thus it is not a serious bug, no one would take care about it in the next time (during my research I found an older post here on the forum about the same problem ...).
    thanks for help in advance,
    jobumac

  • Acrobat X--View Adobe PDF results

Since the latest update to Acrobat X Pro, to 10.1, Acrobat doesn't show the PDF results when I print to PDF (from Word, from the Web, etc.). The PDF printer otherwise works fine; I just like to see the PDF pop up right after I create it to make sure it's what I want. I took a look at printing preferences for the Adobe PDF printer, and "View Adobe PDF results" is still checked (it was checked under the version before the update). I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, if that matters. I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks in advance!

I also had this problem immediately after upgrade to 10.1, and I believe there is a bug involved.
Going to Printer Properties, Advanced tab, and unchecking "Enable advanced printing features" did display the file after creating it.
Checking "Enable advanced printing features" caused the file to not be displayed, even though the Printer Perferences setting to "View Adobe PDF results" remained checked under both conditions.
I think there is a bug involved because under the problem condition, when the PDF file would be created but not displayed, I could not rename the file. It would say that Adobe had the file open. I could only rename the file by Ending Process on acrodist.exe or restarting Windows (7 Pro 64-bit).
It seems that somehow the process was getting hung at a point prior to the display of the file.
Since the workaround is to disable advanced features that I would like to use, it's not an acceptable solution for me.
Is there a place to file a bug report and get a ticket?

  • View Adobe Pdf results Minimized

I'm running Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 with QuarkXpress and Photoshop CS5.  With both programs when creating a Pdf by using the Adobe Pdf driver and the "View Adobe Pdf Results" checked, a pdf file is created, but not fully opened.   A flashing minimized box is placed on the taskbar which opens to a full page view when clicked.  In earlier versions of Acrobat it opened directly to full page view.  Additionally, when creating a pdf with a third party program (NovaPDF), it works properly and directly opens to full page view.  Perhaps, I haven't configured the preference file correctly.  Has anyone else run into this problem?  Appreciate all help & guidance.
    Burt Stuttman

Yes, I'm printing to the Adobe PDF printer. FWIW, I used to be able to right-click in MSIE and use "convert to PDF" to create a PDF, but when my hard drive crashed and was replaced and the OS (and everything else) reinstalled, that wouldn't work anymore. Now I get a script error. I'm guessing that's an MSIE problem (possibly because when the OS was reinstalled, a newer version -- 9 -- of MSIE was installed), but at this point I can live with it.

    Hi Experts,
    A basic question...

lots of people are having problems with this. why isn't adobe helping?

    Hi Jeff,
I am not certain what "the HTML5 player" is.
    To repeat my earlier question:
"Why doesn't Adobe address this? Searches reveal that there is a plethora of people having the same problem."  See this link (https://www.google.com/search?q=adobetvdoesntworkonfirefoxsite:forums.adobe.com&lr=&hl=en&as_qdr=all&biw=1920&bih=748)
I could search help pages all day long if I didn't have to, y'know... work. This is obviously a problem to which Adobe needs to research the solution.
I am within the requirements of the service stated on the AdobeTV page, yet it doesn't work. Is it too much to ask that Adobe throw me a bone here?
Sorry if I sound frustrated, but I spent hours of my time a couple of months ago, the last time I wanted to use AdobeTV, trying to figure this crap out and finally just gave up.
    Cheers,
    Paul Fisher

  • What do I need to view Adobe TV on a mac

This has probably been posted somewhere else but I am unable to find the thread.
I cannot seem to view Adobe TV tutorials on my iMac with Safari. Youtube tutorials work fine, but not all the tutorials are available on Youtube. I have posted this on Adobe and they seem to think it is a Mountain Lion problem. Any helpl is appreciated.

Yes to all the above. One, I must admit that in my frustration I did not submit a proper question. In the meantime, I have gotten everything to work, although not totally to my liking, but that is another discussion. Flash, latest version, was/is installed correctly. I had gone in and purposely turned off the "allow storage" settings to OFF. No one was allowed to store data on my computer. I still think it is a bad idea, but again, that's another story. So, if anyone cannot get the Adobe tutorials to work, turn on the "allow storage" section in your preferences to ON, but use the "Ask me before allowing new sites to save information on this computer". If you let them store info on your machine then you may view the videos. Thanks Kurt.
