Viewing AI file in ID as cmyk when the file is rgb. Why?

I've upgraded from CS5 to CS6 and this is the first time I'll have used Illustrator. I've worked on an rgb file that I downloaded from iStock. I saved it as an rgb file but before I saved the file, I viewed the vector image in cmyk mode just to see what it would look like. I closed the file and opened my document in ID that I wanted to place my AI file into. When I placed it into the ID document, it imported as a cmyk file. I wouldn't have known what had happened if I hadn't viewed it as a cmyk file when I had saved it in Illustrator. I've never experienced this before so am curious as to why this is happening. I'm working in OS10.8.2 on a Mac Pro tower (whether this makes any difference or not, I don't know, but I've been asked these questions before when coming to the forums.) I've seen on other posts this is a color management glitch in CS6. Has there been a fix? Or is there some other bug?

How do you 'view' the file? A SWF file is meant to be launched from its companion HTML file (name.htm) which will call the JS and CSS files and then launch the SWF.
Do you see the playbar when you Preview in Browser (F12)? Can you check version number: 8.0.1.242 is the present version of 8.

    I am using DynamicPDF to render a PDF. There are multiple check boxes which are checked. When the PDF is opened in Firefox, none of the check boxes are checked.     i am new in apex and i need in help to solve the below issue:
    the reports in apex are shown when the page called by default,
    i want that the report will show only when i press any button to show it not when the page requested.
    hope i can get some solutions here.

    Position the button ("Go", for example) in a region that always appear by default.
    Your report should be in a different region, but conditionally renders only when button Go is pressed (aka, request triggered by the button is activated)... or only when some parameter is not blank, whatever the condition you want to create.

  • It can't run the DVD of office for Mac University  2011 when the last 6 second, why?

    I am a new user, and set the office of Mac university  2011 on my new Mac book pro, I already get the product.
    When the DVD do the last 6 second, an unknown window appear, I can't read the words, I don't understand why？
    Then the DVD stop to run, the software unsuccessful to set up.

    It's likely the same - although the download is for a 'trial' you can still use the activation code on the CD sleeve to authorize the software. That's what I did when I first 'purchased' MS Office - downloaded the trial version and then simply entered the activation code when my 'box' arrived - I've never had the CD in my computer at all.
    Just download the Home/Student version, install it and open any one of the apps to authorize. You can always burn a copy of the downloaded disk image to a blank CD if you want to make certain that you've a good 'hard' copy.

    The iPad mini was not still under warranty -- so they charged me $199 -- and I did not ask because the way they said it, there was not an option. When I got home and checked, it appears that there should have been an option to re-install the firmware.

    How to view a position details in Po13 transaction, when the same position is viewed by some other person.
    When I try this , it shows me an error message that some other person has locked it.
    How to unlock it ? Is there any way where I can unlock the transaction, so that I can see the details of the same position which was viewed by the other person.

    You can use the transaction SM04 to unblock it. But the other user's session will be deleted. Easier way would be to use transation PO13D to view the position.

    See if you can find a NPPDF32.DLL files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)

    Hey thanx for the help, it worked like a charm.
    I think firefox changed the application lay out, as I used to be able to choose my PDF opener from the list at " Adobe Acrobat Forms Document' where I could choose Nitro-PDF reader, but it has now moved all the way to the bottom like you suggested to the obvious place of "Portable Document Format" section.
    If someone didn't tell me , I wouldn't have scrolled all the way down to be able to find it... it really should be with all its cousins up the top...

  • When I go up to "file-edit-view etc and I put cursor over it the word it's pointing to disappears. How can I make it stop. I need to see what I'm pointing at!!

    I'm using Windows XP and this issue just started this morning. For some reason my firefox crashed. I got everything fixed but now when I go the the top where it has "File Edit View History etc" and I put the cursor over it the word blanks out. It never used to do this and I can't work with it like this. I prefer Firefox over any other web browser. Please tell me how to change the settings so the word stays there when the cursor highlights it and doesn't disappear. Thank you.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Colors not displaying when viewing PDF files

    Recently I've discovered that when viewing PDF files I'm not seeing all of the colors in the charts. This is happening with PDF files that I made as recently as last year (when everything looked fine). It's also happening with files that other people at other organizations have made. If I go to a coworkers computer and pull up the files, I can see everything just fine. Also, when I print the files, everything comes out just fine. Any ideas as to why I'm not seeing things correctly on my machine? I'm using a Dell laptop, Windows 7, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, Microsoft Word 2010. I've also been having problems with graphics disappearing when converting Word files to PDF files but that's a topic I'll post on the Acrobat page. Seems like it may all be related to my new laptop.     Attaching an image of what I see when I view the PDF file and a screen shot of the Word file with the color in which does print even though I can't see it. I can see some of the colors in the PDF file but not all of them.

    The problem with ie9 or ie8 gets more complicated, since the alt key works on some files, one example is:

    The files where it does not work are placed on sites that require sign in with a digital signature, so it is impossible to give urls to  the files.
    With screen readers and with pdf files in the browser, the normal way of getting to the
    address bar does not work, but that is not really a problem but a minor irritation, and not a new behavior.

    My son's yearbook publisher wants TIF images. Try as I might,
    I can't seem to VIEW TIF files in Fireworks or Freehand.
    All I see is a box with multi-colored dots when opened.
    ANy ideas what the problem might be? Thanks.

    Not sure but maybe some exotic compression? Where did you get
    that TIFFs
    and how they were prepared?

  • Simple fix to view pdf files when screen is black. Cannot view pdfs

    My screen is black and I can't view pdf files. Seems like the pdf is working but the screen is black. Does anyone have a simple fix for this?

    Are you using the "AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin" with Safari? Sine I use Acrobat Pro XI, that's my 'default' PDF reader - you're able to interact with forms - as they were designed - much better in Reader than in Preview. I guess as an AcroForm designer, Preview is a bit of a slap in the face when it comes do viewing well-designed forms and portfolios: I've a 164 element portfolio, for instance, that Reader correct views while Preview tries to unsuccessfully 'preview' 164 pages - not the intended design.
    Anyway, to the OP, I still suggest downloading and installing Reader - it will show forms correctly in Safari and is the 'choice' of AcroForms designers.
