Viewing as one single waveform in multitrack

Hi,
I have imported a track which is recorded in stereo which is fine. But i would rather view and edit it as one clear wave form, not split down as two identical waves so it looks more like a mono track. Is there a way of changing the view to do that in both multitrack view and the waveform view?
I know i could do a mono save and then a re-import but havent used Adobe Audition for ages, and i am sure there is a way of doing it so it's easier.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Ade,
You can achieve this look in Waveform view, but Multitrack Clips will always display the full channel stack.
In Waveform view, choose View > Waveform Channels > Layered
If you enable Uniquely Colored in that same menu, you'll be able to more easily visualize the different channels when layered.
Are your original files truly stereo recordings?

Hi NI RF Guys,
I'm having bigs problems with the MT module FSK waveform.
I'm trying to generate RF signal, based on sending an input bit stream of 544 bits with a symbol rate of 8,8 KHz, with a Frequency Deviation of 15 KHZ and Center Frequency of 433.92 MHz.
The problem is that it takes 5 seconds, for the wave to be generated, which is too long.
I've noticed that by changing the symbol rate (inreasing it) the time of processing decrease wich is normal, but i've to send with a symbol rate of 8.8 KHz for my receiver to be able to "catch" the signal.
Is there any way to decrease the time of processing ?

In wd-abap the concept of viewset is not used instead the viewContainerUIelement is used to achieve the same.
create a main view say v_main in that add ui control viewContainerUiElement
create a another view say v1.
go the the window .. embed this view v_main to the window , u can see then below the view the control viewContainerUielement , in that u can add the view v1 inside this container . so if u create more containers inside the v_main ,then u can display more view inside this and the plugs can be created and fired as same as in java.

Script to search all files in specified folder for multiple string text values listed in a source file and output each match to one single results txt file

I have been searching high and low for this one. I have a vbscript that can successfully perform the function if one file is listed. It does a Wscript.echo on the results and if I run this via command using cscript, I can output to a text file
that way. However, I cannot seem to get it to work properly if I want it to search ALL the files in the folder. At one point, I was able to have it create the output file and appear as if it worked, but it never showed any results when the script
was executed and folder was scanned. So I am going back to the drawing board and starting from the beginning.
I also have a txt file that contains the list of string text entries I would like it to search for. Just for testing, I placed 4 lines of sample text and one single matching text in various target files and nothing comes back. The current script
I use for each file has been executed with a few hundred string text lines I want it to search against to well over one thousand. It might take awhile, but it works every time. The purpose is to let this run against various log files in a folder and
let it search. There is no deleting, moving, changing of either the target folder/files to run against, nor of the file that contains the strings to search for. It is a search (read) only function, going thru the entire contents of the folder and
when done, performs the loop function and onto the next file to repeat the process until all files are searched. When completed, instead of running a cscript to execute the script and outputting the results to text, I am trying to create that as part
of the overall script. Saving yet another step for me to do.
My current script is set to append to the same results file and will echo [name of file I am searching]: No errors found. Otherwise, the
output shows the filename and the string text that matched. Because the results append to it, I can only run the script against each file separately or create individual output names. I would rather not do that if I could include it all in one.
This would also free me from babysitting it and running each file script separately upon the other's completion. I can continue with my job and come back later and view the completed report all in one. So
if I could perform this on an entire folder, then I would want the entries to include the filename, the line number that the match occurred on in that file and the string text that was matched (each occurrence). I don't want the entire line to be listed
where the error was, just the match itself.
Example: (In the event this doesn't display correctly below, each match, it's corresponding filename and line number all go together on the same line. It somehow posted the example jumbled when I listed it)

Those are just random fake examples for this post.
This allows me to perform analysis on a set of files for various projects I am doing. Later on, when the entire search is completed, I can go back to the results file and look and see what files had items I wish to follow up on. Therefore, the
line number that each match was found on will allow me to see the big picture of what was going on when the entry was logged.
I actually import the results file into a spreadsheet, where further information is stored regarding each individual text string I am using. Very useful.
If you know how I can successfully achieve this in one script, please share. I have seen plenty of posts out there where people have requested all different aspects of it, but I have yet to see it all put together in one and work successfully.

I'm sorry. I was so consumed in locating the issue that I completely overlooked posting what exactly I was needing help with. I did have one created, but I came across one that seemed more organized than what I originally created. Later
on I would learn that I had an error in log location on my original script and therefore thought it wasn't working properly. Now that I am thinking that I am pretty close to achieving what I want with this one, I am just going to stick with it.
However, I could still use help on it. I am not sure what I did not set correctly or perhaps overlooking as a typing error that my very last line of this throws an "Expected Statement" error. If I end with End, then it still gives same
results.
So to give credit where I located this:

I then adjusted it for what I was doing.
What this does does is it searches thru log files in a directory you specify when prompted. It looks for words that are contained in another file; objFile2, and outputs the results of all matching words in each of those log files to another file: errors.log
Once all files are scanned to the end, the objects are closed and then a message is echoed letting you know (whether there errors found or not), so you know the script has been completed.
What I had hoped to achieve was an output to the errors.log (when matches were found) the file name, the line number that match was located on in that file and what was the actual string text (not the whole line) that matched. That way, I can go directly
to each instance for particular events if further analysis is needed later on.
So I could use help on what statement should I be closing this with. What event, events or error did I overlook that I keep getting prompted for that. Any help would be appreciated.

Listing tracks from an album with multiple artists as part of one single album

When listing my music by album on my iphone 4, tracks from the same album with multiple artists appear as separate albums. How can I get the iphone to list these as part of one single album? For example, "Rock of Oldies" is a compilation with 50's music, but on my iphone it appears as a long list of distinct albums: Rock of Olides - Elvis Presley, Rock of Oldies - Beach Boys, and so on. I tried bulk-selecting these and flagging them as "part of a compilation" on itunes, but it doesn't seem to help on my iphone...

I just tried, but they still remain listed as separate albums on my iphone when i view by album...

Some questions about view options for single folders

hi,
I'm trying to customize the finder a little, but I'm running into some troubles. It seems that finder is not capable of saving view options for single folders, is it? What I mean is: For example I want my standard view to be "column view, sorted by name". But one specific folder I want to open in "list view, sorted by date modified". I can't get finder to do it.
In View Options, there is a checkbox "Always open in XXX view". But it only seems to work if I cmd-click that folder so it opens in a new finder window, but not if I stay in the same window, which is really annoying.
With file-sorting, it seems as soon as I chose "sort files by date modified" finder does this for ALL folders, not only the one I'm currently in (regardless of whether I use View -> Arrange By or View -> View Options -> Arrange By)
Ideas? I can't believe that those basic features are actually lacking in finder.

well, I think I see what the problem is.
I usually use column view. In column view it is enough to single-click on a folder to open it. When you do that, a new column with that folder opens. When I double-click on a folder on the other hand, it behaves the way I want it to be (opens in the view I set for it). So it seems like I will have double-click every folder in order to behave it the way I want (annoying as well, but I guess there is no other solution).
Btw, if I create a new folder on my desktop and change it's default view it works, because clicking on a folder on the desktop is pretty much the same as opening it in a new window.
Thanks for your help though. If you have any idea if you can make the folders behave the right way by single-clicking than please let me know
edit: ok, seems I was wrong. it worked for the desktop-folder, but doesn't seem to work for any other folder (it DOES work when cmd-double-clicking it though). strange.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'

Unfortunately, since each application running its own server will handle pages differently and have backend scripts that process the requests, there is not a whole lot we can do in the browser but clear the cache. It would require resources beyond this forum. If however, you can get in contact with the developer of that application and ask if this is expected, we would be happy to work with an example.

Search view : Combine two search views into one serch view

Hi ,
We have a requirement for combining two search views into one and display single result view consisting of some fields from One search and few fields from other search.
Ex. There are two seperate search views for Oppotunity and Quotation. Now we want to combine search views of both into one search view with selected fields and then display a single result view with combined fields from both result views .
Kindly suggest me the steps I can follow to achieve the same.

Hi,
This is possible by creating dynamic views in a window.
1)create views you required.
2)create a tray in the view 1 and a link and set the properties.
3)create an outbound plug for the view1 and save the application.
4)create one more link in the tray for view1 and set the properties and create one more outbound plug.
5)go the main view view and create 2nd tray and create a UI container element in it.
6) now embed view1 and view2 in the container .........................

1D array of waveforms to single waveform

I'm got a continuous data application which results in an output of a
1D array of waveforms. This is done because the VI reads the
waveform out of the buffer at certain intervals in a loop, which
seems to be the only way to acquire data in a continuous mode at high
speed off of a non NI card, as reccomended by the manufacturer,
Measurement Computing. The waveforms are passed out of the loop,
becoming a 1D array of waveforms. I need to append the array
elements to one another (waveforms) to end up with a single waveform to
ease the latter processing. I'd prefer to do this using the time
stamps to make sure there are no misalignments, but I'd settle for a
simple method to append them to one another.
I've tried using the append waveform VI in a loop with what I thought
was appropriate logic, but I always seem to end up with just a portion
of the original data. Help is greatly appreciated. FYI I'll be
out of the office until Tues, so I won't be using info this until

How exactly are you using the Append Waveform in a loop? Using it in a for loop like in the attached picture should work.

I have to look at waveforms with several sets of y data of 10000 or so
points. Should I put this into Excel? There are no cursors, or zoom
capabilities, and so on in Excel.
Using a graph in LV is very slow when loaded down with this much data.
Frankly a scope is easier for viewing waveforms. A scopelike utility
for Windows?
MathCAD?
Is there any neat shareware out there?

There are a large number of analysis packages on the market that can display very large datasets. The one to choose depends largely on the nature of the data and what you want to do with it after you have loaded it in. Wandering down the software aisle at your local Staples you will find at least two or three.
With datsets the size you are contemplating, a major feature to look for is a zoom function that initially shows the entire waveform but lets you narrow in on the data you want to see.
DIGRESSION ALERT
Actually, this sort of algorithm isn't to hard to code. I wrote a viewer once that allowed you to view datasets of arbitrarily large size (in V3 I think... though it may have been in V4). The code initally presented an overview of the entire dataset
by decimating it down to a size that LV could display rapidly. As the user zoomed in using the cursors (not LV's graph zoom) the code would extract the selected portion of the data, redecimate it if necessary and redraw the display. (Which by the way is all the fancy packages really do anyway.)
The tricky part is selecting a decimation function that retains the overall shape of the data.

Several years ago I wrote an article for a magazine (Personal Engineering and Instrumentation News) that dealt with graphing packages that could handle a million datapoints at that time (late eighties) there were over a dozen programs--and they were all better than Excel...

How to use one single boolean button to control a multiple while loops?

I've posted the attached file and you will see that it doesn't let me use local variable for stop button, but I need to stop all the action whenever I want but more than one single button on the front panel would look ugly... The file represents the Numeric Mode of

In order to use a local variable, you can change the mechanical action of stop button (Switch When Pressed will work), or create a property node for it and select values. You'll also have to do a lot of work changing those for loops into while loops so that you can abort them.

There are two transactions ZJPVCS303 and ZJPVCS303_US for one single Report
